I'm beyond impressed, I got the chicken scampi, it came with soup, salad bar and dessert. Everything I had was hot, delicious and I would have gladly paid 20 dollars for the food I got, I only paid 10.29, I couldn't believe the amount of food I got for that price. I took a to go box home because I couldn't finish it. By far the best banana bread I've ever tasted. I was with my aunt who has cerebral palsy and they were very accommodating and kind to her. This place is a gem, I live in Dekalb but I'm definitely driving back out here just to come here again.

For the amount of food you get here. It is beyond outstanding. The sturfry I got was a bit bland could use rice noodles instead of rice. The shrimp wasn't to bad though, cooked all the way. Salad bar was just perfect. Banana nut bread is their specialty.

We have been here two times. Each time we have waited an inordinate amount of time for breakfast, and the service and food left much to be desired. We will not be returning.

Never been impressed with any lunch items here. If I go now, I always stick to breakfast. 'Bland' is the word that best describes this establishment. I've heard good things about the salad bar though.

A diner. With diner food. Fast service, and interesting people to look at. Nothing special. The decor is atrocious, but isn't that what makes it kinda fun?

Not too bad of a place to eat, it is your typical all-in-one restaurant. They have Greek, American, Polish cuisines. I choose the traditional patty melt sandwich. Not too bad - the bread was nicely toasted and diced onion oozing out as expected, tasty but not exceptional. Parking was plentiful and pretty crowded during the lunch hours. I would come back because the prices were reasonable for the location that I was in.

Just your average Greek owned restaurant... good liver & onions... meatloaf.. homemade mashed potatoes. One of the few restaurants still doing a salad bar... need to use a spring mix instead of the cheap iceberg lettuce. Place needs a good cleaning & remodel. start with the bathroom.

After my morning cup of wake up at the hotel, we met our friends here for breakfast. Typical breakfast place? Maybe. Outstanding service? Definitely!!! Low prices? Most assuredly!!! The coffee was fresh, the waitress was friendly, the food was fast and delicious. The first day I had the french toast, and the second day I had Butterfly's Favorite Swedish Pancakes, which were crepes filled with strawberries and bananas. Yum! The prices were well below what I was expecting, and like I said, the food was twice as good! I'll be back for breakfast the next time I'm rollin' through town!

We eat here twice a year on our way between Austin and Milwaukee. The Butterfly is proof of the fact that when you take the time (maybe 5 minutes extra) to get off the highway, you can't complain about having to eat only fast food on road trips in the U.S. This place has so many home-cooked specials, all good, with home-baked desserts and a nice salad bar. We've been returning for years, and will continue to do so.

Traveling across country we turned off the Interstate to find a treasure in the Butterfly Family Restaurant. What a wonderful find. The food was true to its advertising 'homemade'. The salad bar was fresh, with awesome freshly made banana bread. The specials were excellent for a Saturday night with more then average selections. The wait staff were friendly and helpful, the cost of the dinner was reasonably priced and dessert was included. Only regret is, won't be in the area for the delicious breakfast. Two Minnesota travelers give this restaurant an A+. H & B

Excellent restaurant. Salad bar was outstanding and what a menu. They have a little bit of everything. All meals come with soup, salad bar and dessert. Prices are very reasonable. What an great little gem. Glad I choose to stop. Spotless and service is some of the best.
