Paisano’s on Broadway

5614 Broadway
Richmond, 60071
Reviews:
Paisano's continues to raise the bar! I had some of the raw oysters as well as the Oysters Rockefeller and both were outstanding. But the highlight was the Mussels marinara, these were beyond outstanding!! Keep up the good work.
Great family run Italian cooking!! Lot of great food! Fish/pasta my picks alway busy--there is a reson why!
Their valet-service takes up the entire parking lot, leaving absolutely no space for those wanting to visit any other store/shop in downtown Richmond. The parking lot is supposed to be public, but Paisano's seems to think that it is their personal lot. Really isn't fair to any of the other businesses in the area, or those that aren't eating at Paisano's that night.

I have had both the thin crust and the thicker pan pizzas which both had crispy crust with fresh ingredients. When eating in they do have craft beers and peanuts for you at the table. We sometimes get the salads which have always been fresh for us. By far the best pizza around and would definitely recommend, and have, to friends.
This is one bad week tried there xl pizza and I could of gottin a better frozen pizza way under cooked
An excellent thin crust with very fresh ingredients. I asked my server and she said they get their mushrooms from a local farmer, no wonder they are so fresh! I love a good thin crust and this is the best you can find in the area. Jim and Harry's is a welcome addition and worth seeking out if you are in the mood for some great 'za and good beer selection too! Keep it up, and see you soon...

Reviews:
Just ate at Cubby Hole yesterday morning and I still have an upset stomach. I ordered a strip steak with eggs, hash browns and toast. The steak was a strip of undercooked fat with a strip of overcooked meat...!!! Guess that's why it's called strip steak..!! So much for med well.. !! Everything else was good tasting, big deal....!! Looks like another restaurant to strike off the list. I have a silly rule..if I get sick after I eat in your restaurant..well I won't return..!! Over the years I have had more than a few meals at Cubby Hole.
If it's one thing I miss about Illinois, it's this place. A perfect hole in the wall restaurant with tasty food. Best biscuits and gravy ever! Low prices and was always a family tradition for us to go there once a week. Love the breakfast menu and the broccoli soup. Even though it only takes cash, it's a perk to why the prices of the meals are lower then most. When I come to visit family and friends in Illinois again I will definitely be stopping here. The waitresses are fantastic gals and make your dining experience a nice one!!!!
First off they only accept cash, which in this day and Age is dumb! They must be screwing the govt cause without a paper trail it's hard to be tracked! There is nothing special about this place. Food is TASTELESS AND BLAND! Have been twice and I think a 5 yr old can cook better food. Biscuits and gravy is horrible. "Biscuits" are dry, cheap, not homemade, and gravy was cold and lacked flavor! My wife and mother in law LOVE this place. Then again they have very low standards for food. I'm sure I'll have to try it again cause they love it. I'll just stick to coffee and toast...let's hope they don't screw that up. PASS THIS PLACE, KEEP GOING TO MCD's

Dilar Restaurant

8704 U.S. 12
Richmond, 60071
Reviews:
Dilar Grill family restaurant, on the south edge of Richmond, is a nondescript, average family restaurant. One nice feature of Dilar is the dining space layout. The restaurant is in a free standing structure with windows out along the sides, so it gets nice light and feels open and sunny. There is also a counter with maybe ten stools, but it is not used and it is in too open an area (lots of foot traffic) to be appealing for most customers. We stopped at Dilar for breakfast. While the food quality was nothing special, one way or the other, I will warn you that the quantity served is pretty large. For example, a one-half order of biscuits and gravy, rather than a full order, is more than sufficient as a side dish for breakfast. For that matter, it is probably an adequate amount of food for an entire breakfast, for many people. Prices are good. Service is average, roughly up to the standard of what one would expect in a family restaurant. Dilar is a solid family restaurant, serving large portions at reasonable prices. It is otherwise average in every respect. I recommend Dilar over any family restaurant in Lake Geneva. If you are going through Richmond on your way to the Lake Geneva - Delavan area and it is time for breakfast or lunch, Dilar is probably your last opportunity to eat a meal that is not priced to gouge the Lake Geneva tourists.
Best place to eat in Richmond. The owners are sooooo nice and welcoming. The staff is top notch and very friendly and on top of their game. It's great for famiies, breakfasts, lunch, or dinner. The food is top notch and nicely priced. Lots of parking... :)
Today my three year old son and I went to Dilars for breakfast and had the disgusting experience of a cockroach run across our table. My family have been going here for years but the restaurant has gone south. The carpet floors are nasty and a germ breading ground. It is very dirty and neglected. Will make complaint to public health

Papa Saverio’s

Reviews:
We order from this Papa Saverio's at least once a month for the past 3 years and it has been fresh and hot every time. We get many variations of toppings and the pizzas are always jam packed with the freshest hand cut ingredients. A great pizza, every time.
Great polite delivery driver. The worst chicken wings ever--tastes like simply some super-cheap bottled sauce over frozen barely-crusted wings thrown in the microwave, with a chintzy envelope of ranch dressing; no blue cheese, celery or anything. Improve on that, and get more customers and better ratings.
Will spend my $50 for dinner elsewhere next time. Delivery driver on my tail as I entered the parking lot to start. Ordered there new boneless wings which were hard as rocks. Wife ordered spaghetti which was way to salty. Stick to pizza.

American Cafe

11302 US Hwy 12
Richmond, 60071
Reviews:
Stopped here for lunch on our way to see Pearl Jam at Alpine Valley. Very good, standard diner fare. Think of maybe an upscale Dennys? That's what this place was like. Huge portions of food, so if you're not a hearty eater, consider sharing with somebody. Great waitress and service overall. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit American Cafe, but for what it was (a quick bite to eat before a very long day at a concert venue full of expensive food), it was good.
It's either hit or miss here. We come here quite a bit for lunch. It seems to be strange hours so I get confused when they are open. I love the Great Dane. It has jarlsburg cheese with turkey on a croissant and is oh so good. My friends like the ménage a tuois and the portabella. This is a great menu with lots of different food choices.
A perennial favorite. I like the Cafe potatoes.

Reviews:
I had purchased several gift certificates from Restaurants.com to local restaurants that my husband and I wanted to check out. We generally go out on date nights to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Well, needless to say this date was not so enjoyable. It started out great, there were only two tables seated, us and another. Our waitress was very prompt bringing out our beverages and we had decided to order. We were brought out bread with cheese spread, I was skeptical at first but it was great. Off to a good start. Our appetizers came, we had ordered the Spartini Meltdown and the Red's Big Roundup. At first glance I was impressed with the amount of food quite a lot was served. After inspection and tasting it, I have to say probably the worst appetizers I have ever had. The Spartini meltdown was a cheese and artichoke dip served with freshly homemade chips and salsa. Where to start, the chips were little triangle boats holding old grease that looked as if they had been cooked several times. The Spartini was sour, I mean like biting into a sour piece of candy. Sour! Just disgusting. The salsa was invisible, it literally never came. The sampler platter was filled with old onion rings, mushrooms, wings and mozzarella sticks. All which was obviously not fresh and soaked in oil. At this point, I am very nervous about our entrees because this was disgusting. My husband ordered a stuffed burger, medium rare. I had ordered rotisserie chicken that came with green beans and I opted for a baked potato. Well apparently medium means completely raw, when my husband told the waitress she apologized and had the cook put it back on the grill, she came back and said well our medium is cooked different from what you are use to. Isn't medium a standard? We had to ask for the lettuce and tomato, which we received tomato wedges for a burger! My meal was absolutely nothing to be happy about, my chicken had been reheated and had a disgusting after taste. My baked potato had been microwaved and not even fully cooked. Green beans were rubbery and tasteless. I finished with desert thinking something should be good about that. I ordered a brownie thing that was supposed to be topped with ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauces. It came in a sundae glass. Was a pathetic desert. Brownie was stuck in the middle of the sundae and scarce chocolate sauce no caramel. I looked at our waitress and said I didn't order a sundae I ordered the brownie. She said yeah that's it. We were then brought our check. Which wasn't even our check. I had to tell her it was wrong and she seemed annoyed. Paid our bill and left. The waitress was personable and friendly but every thing else was horrible. This restaurant needs some serious cleaning. A manager and a good cook. We will never be going back as it was probably the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. If you even think that the reviews could be a tad skewed as we did, think again! It is all true. Disgusting food. Dirty floor and table. Wouldn't even give a star if I didn't need to.
Stopped in for a special family dinner. There is nothing good that I can say about this place. It needs a good cleaning, a more competent staff, a real chef, food that is edible, and some atmosphere. Not a pleasant place. Will not return. If I could give it zero stars I would.
The service is slow, the place is filthy, and the drama between employees is ridiculous. Food is horrible to the point of worrying about food poisoning. Have actually seen ants crawling around dining room. Owner clearly takes no pride in own establishment. Seriously go anywhere else!!!
