A reasonable, no-frills steak and baked potato meal... You can choose to grill your own steak, or for $2 more have it done for you while you enjoy the salad bar. For a girls night out, we opted to have it cooked for us. Will definitely be dining here on our next road trip.

For upscale options in the area, prime quarter is as good as it gets. It's definitely a niche with cook your own steak, but with the salad bar and the friendly service, it's definitely worth a trip if you're in the area. It seems very old-school to me, with the bar snd the wood paneling on the walls, but I love it in many ways. The ambience and Decour are not much to look at, but again it's a niche restaurant serving steaks that you have the option of cooking on the grill yourself or for an additional charge of two dollars they will cook for you. They make a great martini, which is clearly something notable from my perspective. I had the prime rib and it was a little tough but delicious. Dinner comes with the salad bar and a baked potato and Texas toast. A creative spin on steak in a charming little town. A great value....$20-28 ish, excluding booze.

I have literally spent the last 10 years travelling the world and I am obsessed with this small chain of steakhouses. I have gone out of my way to eat at one every chance I get. From Saudi Arabia to Turkey, from Germany to Italy, from California to North Carolina...you won't find a better steakhouse experience than this. One time I even did the Beefeater Challenge where you eat this massive Porterhouse in a certain amount of time and I succeeded because their cuts of meat are that good. I could go on for days but why should I? Go experience it for yourself...you're already missing out! Happy Eating!

This is one of those cook your own steak places which is exactly why I like it. They offer a great selection of cuts to choose from and if your steak isn't cooked right, you have no one to blame but yourself. I like that I can hang around the grill while drinking beer and talking to friends. You can also make garlic Texas toast to snack on while you cook. Sure, you can grill at home, but when you're with a large group, it's nice not having to clean up afterwards. You do have the option of having a staff member cook for you if you choose, but where's the fun in that.

Great place for a special occasion or a family dinner. We live the Prime Quarter in Princeton, Illinois. Don't mind the drive over an hour. It's worth it! Dinner to drinks to atmosphere. All around great!

Having lived in Chicago, Toronto, Seattle, and most recently in New York City - I can say with complete honesty that this is one of the best steakhouse concepts I've ever been to. It's an amazing value, you get to grill your own steak, and the salad bar & potato topping bar is perfect. We discussed after leaving this steakhouse in bewilderment how it's hard to believe there aren't more of these - this concept would do amazing in a city like NYC where no one has their own BBQ. It's the perfect date night. Hope that some event brings me back to a town with a PQS in the future, as we had a great time.

Great steak! Our friends love to meet up here for a night out. You will not walk away hungry. The steaks are huge!! They also have fish If you so desire. Very good baked potato salad bar!

Went there over the weekend and it was a pleasant surprise. I like the idea of cooking your own food around a big fire. Plenty of time to talk to who you're with or meet someone new. You can play $2 extra to have someone cook it for you but that defeats the purpose of the place. The cuts are delicious and huge. The potato and salad bars are good as well. It's a great deal for the price. Would definitely go there again if I'm out that way.

Solid foundation of food and staff ! Steve made a great manhattan. Wes grilles my ribeye to perfection. And Abby completed the team with her helpful suggestions. They rescued us from the long travel day doldrums !

Great steak house! I love the cook your own and mingle with a drink atmosphere. The cuts of meat are huge and the salad and potato bar is full of tasty treats. We have eaten at fancy steak houses across the country and this "grill your own" with the atmosphere and good drinks is always a favorite and the price cant be beat! Oh, don't forget to make some buttery grilled texas toast!

I love this place. I love the texas toast and the ability to cook my own steak. I have done the beefeater challenge here and conquered it. I received a medallion that is good for a free steak dinner, but I have to give the medallion back in order to receive the dinner and that will never happen haha. Normally I go here for special occasion like a birthday. The service is great here. The waiters will even find you at the grill and make sure your drinks are full. The steaks are very well priced. For around $25 you get a steak of your choice, salad, and baked potato. I recommend this place to everyone that loves steak and a good time.

I give the food a five but service a three. We had never been here before and we really didn't know how the whole cook your own steak process worked and our waitress didn't explain things too well. Anyway the food was very good. All you can eat salad bar and baked potato bar. We had the chef cook our steaks and they were very good; flavorful and tender. We will come back.

This is my favorite place to come with friends when we want to have great food and a great time. Grab a beer, throw your steaks on the grill and enjoy the atmosphere. By the time you've finished a couple of slices of Texas toast and cold beers, it's time to feast. You can't go wrong here.

I don't eat beef or pork but Mr enjoys a good steak. One Saturday evening, we spontaneously drove to Princeton,Il .This place had a couple of fridges filled with steaks and fish, all the garlic bread you can eat, and a decent potato and salad bar. Also they had butter and seasoning right at the grill to spice it up a bit. I have a fresh tuna steak and it was great. Not much for decor but its a room with a huge grill in the middle, what more can you ask for!!! I liked that if you over cooked your steak no questions asked you can get a new one, also they had a guy who would cook it for you if you chickened out. Very different experience.
