Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Don't waste your money on some other pizza place. The Pizza Cellar is the best in town!

Best pizza in Princeton. Homemade crust, fine ingredients, and savory sauce. Small but decent beer selection, and fun atmosphere.

My all-time favorite thin crust pizza. The standard by which all others are judged. A perfect ratio of cheese, sauce, crust, and -- most importantly -- grease. The pizza here has one of the most distinct flavors I have ever come across in my many years of pizza-eating across this great nation.

A friend of mine took me and my Fiance to The Pizza Cellar and he claimed it is the best pizza around Princeton, IL. I have to say I agree. I ate the pizza the there we tried the thin and the pan style both were excellent, although I preferred the pan. About three days after we had the pizza I ended up having withdraw symptoms from it. Yes I am now an addict.

This is the pizza all other pizza should be judged by. It is perfect, every time! I used to live in this town and it was a weekly treat for my family. Now EVERY time I go back my dad takes me there at least once, if not more often. The prices cant be beat, quick service and AMAZING pizza pie!

One of the worst pizza places in town. Way to much garlic on pizza, and pizza is always burnt. Casey's is even better than this "pizza". People in princeton dont know what a true pizza should taste like.

Why does a GF girl go to a glutenous pizza joint, you ask? Ugh, friends. Yes I have them! :) Anyways, I was totally down with the pizza place because I knew they'd have some sort of salad option for me. And to my (pleasant) surprise, they actually had a short list of available specialty salads. I chose the Diet Center Salad (UGH - Pizza Cellar, please change that name!! First of all, it makes no sense. Secondly, I was embarrassed to order it because I didn't want everyone to think I was on a diet. But I digress...), which was tasty and filled me up. Was it the best I've ever had? No. But it was satisfying and I was glad to be able to enjoy the company of friends whilst not being a royal pain in the ass in a small town with limited late night restaurant locations. It's set up like a sports bar, but it's lacking the feel of one. The roll-around leather chairs are pretty freaking sweet, but the rest is just blah. Also, the service was lacking. It was run by a bunch of kids who were just hanging around and watching TV. The server wasn't very knowledgeable of the menu items and didn't come around often. But if you're looking for a glutenous casual sports bar, this might just be the place for you!

I live in this area and went back to this place only after staying away for many MANY years. And now I remember why. The pizza "snaps" in your mouth and isnt soft at all, AND THAT WAS PAN PIZZA. The sandwiches? I actually BANGED the sandwich off the table and people looked. ( one guy across from me actually looked and said "yep, mine too". The crust reminds you more of a kids cracker than real pizza dough.

The pizza totally reminded me of a place I ate at growing up so my nostalgia may be in play here. The pizza was yummers and even though my counterpart Dragon broke a glass, the server was still super nice and helpful. Cheap beer also makes me smile (which is great because smiling is my favorite!).

This pizza place was recommended by an acquaintance and all I can say is WOW!! Very good pizza and reasonable prices. Totally recommend it and will be eating there again! 5 star place for some good Chicago pizza in middle of Princeton, IL.

Good pizza at a very affordable price. For me the best part of the pizza is the sauce. A very nice tomato-based sauce with a hint of sweetness to it. If I could I would order a side of sauce to dip the crust in.

Great thin crust pizza! Even stays crisp for leftovers. One of the best pizza places I have eaten at.

I don't know where the hell the photos I uploaded are...I read an article that %20 of yelp reviews are fake. By god when I rip a business a new one, I don't think you people think it is fake. Anyhoo, this is a sports themed bar, with no actual bar to sit at. But they have as many craft beers and unusual drinks (no hard stuff) but you could drink canned margs here, which are pretty good. Just tables and booths, but on a Friday or Sat night it is a hopping little bar...without a bar. Our waitress was the wife of the owner. She and the cook were the only staff and they handled the early evening dinner rush with ease. I expected burned, crappy pizza. What I got was old fashioned pizza that was much better than expected. The cheese on the pizza made foot long gooey strings when we lifted each piece off the large pan and put it on our plate. It was greasy and stringy and that is a sign of a high quality real cheese. That is something I have not seen since I was a kid. The owner would only say the cheese was a, "blend" but would not reveal the secret. If she were not the owner I would have tipped the chef to learn the secret, but he held his tongue also a bit. The toppings were not sparse, but not overwhelming either. We got half cheese half pepperoni and the chef made it a point, as I asked, to charge us for one topping but put all of it on one half the pie. Each pepperoni site had two overlapping shingles of pepperoni. Kudos for not charging me full for one topping pizza and not putting half on. So my pepperoni side was pretty filled with pepperoni. But the whole pizza was really really cheesy. The crust was handmade and appropriately brown on the edges that made little delectable crunchies when the symphony of cheese was over. The slices held up well to all that cheese and the chef said it was because he put a little cornmeal on the bottom of the pizza. The hamburger my spouse had was on home made bread, which was chewy, with a good crumb, and about eight inches in an oblong shape. It was hearty and absolutely covered with meat, again in an eight inch oblong patty. Yum, I had her leftovers, which were beefy, cheesy delight. I watched the chef make some of these bread rolls and it was fascinating. We did not have deep dish pizza, but I suspect it would be really good. The sauce was really well balanced. I expect either too sweet or too much oregano or something, but it was really balanced and left me wanting a little on the side to dip the crunchy crusts into. We had a basket of onion rings, which was kind of on the expensive side, but really really good. Crisp batter, evenly coated and golden brown. Too bad they don't make them here. GFS has damn fine onion rings. For the price I would have liked this to be a basket that everyone could eat from, but it was larger than a side would be. It was just more expensive than a side of fries would be with an upcharge for onion rings. I saw they had fried mushrooms and thought to myself that they probably would be damn good. I have resolved to come back to this place despite having access to south sub chicago pizza that is pretty darn good. My guess is that they make more from beer and hard lemonade on Friday and Sat than pizza. In terms of pizza quality, I think they are up there with the Village Pizza in Tinley Park. This place is decorated with posters of sports and pennants from big ten collages. My alma matter, the University of Iowa was on the wall despite being deep in the middle of Illinois territory. Oh, and before I forget, I didn't give five stars because my ass was sore from the shitty, worn out chairs at the tables.

Average pizza at best. Too greasy & crust is always overdone. But it beats Pizza Hut, I guess.

Okay, so it isn't at all surprising that this gem of a place doesn't have any Yelp reviews. It is in the middle of America's farmland (and about 15 minutes from my grandparents' house). If you are ever in the area or passing along I-80, it is definitely worth the stop. Just about every trip to my grandparents house warrants a trip to this restaurant. It is probably the best pizza in the entire world. I like to base a pizza place by how good its cheese pizza is. If you can master cheese, then adding on other toppings is quite easy. It is hard to describe with words how great this pizza place is. I am actually going to my grandparents' house this weekend and looking forward to having a slice (or five)!!
