Like many others, it seems we came by Kramer's by chance...well, sort of. We used our trusty ol' Yelp. So, as we were at Hornbakers Hosta Farm, we left and decided to hit downtown Princeton. It's cute...seems to be one long Main St., but it's pretty occupied. So, it's Saturday, around 12:45 and we head into Kramer's It' a sandwich shop, so if you don't like sandwiches, you are not at the right place. They have soup and a salad bar, neither of which we tried. My husband got a cold sandwich with coleslaw, and me, a hot with the chips. Why 5 stars? -Friendly, fast service. Def a local hot spot -fresh, GOOD food. The chips were great! So was my sandwich -prices very reasonable. $17 for lunch for 2, including iced teas and we were both full -it's cute...the decor is ecclectic, which is my style anyway :) They are closed on Sundays, be forewarned. We are going back the next time we're in town!

Never had a good experience at Kramers. Bread is always stale. Prices are ridiculous. Would much rather go to subway down the street...

While passing through Illinois on our cross-country jaunt, we stopped in at the small town of Princeton. Let me first say that being that I live in San Francisco, my standards are a bit high when it comes to food. Road trips can be miserable when it comes to food options! Looking for a bite to eat, we happened upon Kramer's Kitchen-located on their Main street) and am I ever glad we found this place to eat at! Their business card reads, "Great Sandwhiches~Awesome Salad Bar~Excellent Soups". The sandwhich was good and so were the fries! Everything was deelish! Great food, reasonable prices and the place seems to be hopping. Servers were friendly. Guess in smaller towns it is obvious which are the good places to eat-the places that are busy! Good stuff, Maynard!

Little place in Princeton, only open for lunch. Best sandwich there in my opinion is called the "backbone road" - turkey, mushrooms & cheese. Didn't care for the chips. Price fairly high in my opinion, but it is very fresh food.

Can't say I've sampled much of Princeton's culinary wares, but this certainly passed muster. A vast sandwich menu offers by the board options and a number of tasty signature sandwiches. Service couldn't have been sweeter, and the retro knick knacks strewn about only enhance this kitchen's appeal. I thought twice about buying a souvenir tee shirt

Excellent! Stopped here for lunch. Well worth the 5 minute drive from I-80. Very good home made chips. With this place in town, I am a bit surprised that there's a Subway nearby.

Kramer's is a friendly casual place with an authentic small-town feel and antiques on display. Order at the counter and find a good spot indoors or out. They have a large deli sandwich menu (including the "Kramerica" piled high with everything imaginable). I tried the pulled pork -- nice chunky, respectable -- could have had a bit more seasoning for me, but good. Try their homemade potato chips. The staff are great. They heard us reminiscing about fried bologna sandwiches so they made one and brought it to us.

Had their Italian Beef sandwich with ranch chips, was excellent. The bread was fresh and the chips were freshly made and tasty. They have a sandwich challenge to eat their infamous Kramerica sandwich, a nice touch by a great local spot.

So the other day I was with my sister and I noticed Kramer's Kitchen. I had heard of the restaurant but never knew where it was located. So I exclaimed, "Oh there's Kramer's Kitchen!" To which Stephanie replied, "Umm duhh its so good!" And ohmagod let me tell you! IT was pretty tasty. I guess what I am so enthralled with is their originality. I ordered the "Cowpoke" sandwich. Which I knew I had to have because you guys it is pulled pork and oh baby I just cannot resist a good pulled pork sandwich. The toppings included, are you ready for this, peppers and wait for it... cole slaw! How intriguing is that? I had my sandwich without the peppers because thats how I live my life and it was a very tasty sandwich. I had the combo with sea salt potato chips that were totally homemade. It was a great dining experience and I will have to go back soon.

I've been to delis in IA, WA, OR, LA, TX, and everywhere In-between but I have never been to a deli with the creativity or service as this place. The food is just amazing. Keep it up! If you can afford a footlong at Subway, you are seriously missing out by not stopping at this place instead..

Awesome sandwiches. Huge selection. Down home style. We had the classy ruby and pulled pork cowboy. Loved the marble rye and homemade loaded baked potato chips. The corned beef wasn't the most flavorful

This cozy family-owned and run restaurant is your go-to eatery in Princeton! The friendly people behind the counter open up 6 days a week, starting at 7am with hearty breakfasts and now a new, flavored coffee station, you are unlikely to walk away unhappy or still hungry. Open until 3pm some days and 8pm others, there are a variety of specialty sandwiches and sides that will make your mouth water. Large portions are worth the affordable prices. Definitely try the seasoned homemade potato chips! Soups, a salad bar, and desserts also available. If you're a Festival 56 cast or crew member you get 10% off.

Great staff, quality service, fresh ingredients. Prices are fair too. Best sandwiches in the IV area. Hands down.

Awesome place to eat! This is truly Princeton's authentic restaurant. Atmosphere is very casual with decorations reminiscent of TGI Fridays. Seeing is chairs no booths. Food is ordered at the counter, but will be brought out to you. Do note that they serve comfort food. Aka, its absolutely delicious, but no gaurentees on the healthiness.

Wanted to eat local when in the Princeton area. Picked KK and loved it! Dont even remember the sandwiches we got but they were both good, bread was fresh from that morning. Garlic herb chips were a great sub for normal fries. The service was great, very helpful in getting us to a choice from their extensive menu. Great choice for a local place to eat when in Ptown.
