For the quaint setting, you'd probably pass this incredible gem up. The strip mall or signage is hardly telling of the remarkable Thai experience the food will send you on. I walked in, ordered Tom-ka and green curry both extra spicy. Within 8 minutes, I was leaving with two large portions, piping hot. The Tom-Ka was beyond perfect! A melding of spicy with creamy and sweet and tang. It was enough for two. The green curry- which the owner recommended as his favorite, brought the heat without sacrificing depth of flavor and texture. Chicken was tender. And rice was served on the side. I'm extremely happy with the quality, especially considering the reasonable cost. Give it a try!

Food cooked with love and so delicious!!! We ordered a lot and thought we would have leftovers, but we ate it all! Thanks KRUA THAI for making our family dinner extra special !

This place came up as being a mile from the hotel we were staying at. I was really craving something other than American food, so it sounded like a good option. I'm not a peanut person (just don't like them) so I opted for the pineapple chicken fried rice and the vegetable egg rolls. I called in the order. She asked me what level heat on the rice... say what? That was an odd question, but I like some heat so I opted for medium. I sent my husband to go pick it up. He came back and there was no soy sauce in the bag! I almost let him have it. I mean, what is fried rice without soy sauce. I was so hungry that I dug right in. OMG.... I didn't need soy sauce! It had the best flavor. This was hands down some of the best fried rice I had ever had. The egg rolls and sauce were also awesome. I love the thin crispy sheets of the wrapping on them. I wish I lived by this place... but then again I would eat this constantly and I'm sure the calorie count is not good for the waistline!

What an unbelievable lunch special. What value! A huge bowl of chicken pad thai, an appetizer sampler consisting of two potstickers, a crab rangoon, and an egg roll, plus a bottle of water... all for $7.50! The food was solid. The pad thai was spicy, as I ordered it, and filled with a nice amount of vegetables which added some freshness I like. I especially loved how many green onions were in the bowl. The chicken was whatever but the rest of the dish made up for it. The appetizers were all fried well. I really liked the amount of glass noodle in the egg roll, which had good all-around texture. The crab rangoon was a little heavy on the cream cheese but tasty. The potstickers had a really tasty filling but unfortunately the ratio wasn't ideal. They skimped a little on the filling. But hey, for the price, I shouldn't be complaining.

Look, I know I am spoiled by my local Thai Place (Thai Smile 2 in Muncie) . I also don't know authentic Thai food anymore than I know authentic Texas BBQ. I just know what I like. This place was good, not great. I had the Pad Kee Mao. It was good, but the noodles were falling a part a bit. The Crab Rangoon was unique and very good. It had a coating that made it extra crispy, but still tasted more like a cream cheese Rangoon. Typical of most take out places and frankly I'm fine with it. But pop a real Crab Rangoon in you mouth once and you will know it ain't the same. I would come back for sure. But I will probably give a few other places a try first. So since I not from here the chances a tree small. Lunch was $10 even with tip and it came with an appetizer platter ( no rice for my American tounge :-) ).

This is some street-vendor style Thai food, they dish it up cheap and hot and it's fantastic.

Went in during lunch special and ordered pad see ew with tofu. The lunch special comes with a cold bottled water and an appetizer of the day. Today's appetizer was crab ranngoon and pot stickers, both were very oily and far from being tasty. The pad see ew noodles were wet and unflavorful. They definitely don't use a wok! The broccoli was the only fresh ingredient. This place is a pass. I threw it out while the bowl was still hot. The price is cheap at $7.50 but so is the food.

You can sit down in a "restaurant" front area, but there is no server, no menu, no silverware, no sauces. And the food took over 45 minutes to come out. Totally ridiculous. I almost walked out the door. Food finally came and of course no sauces and no silverware still. Everyone else that came into the store was picking up to-go orders they had already called in. I don't live here, so didn't have that option. Sweet Jesus.

I ordered takeout from Krua Thai while traveling for work, when I wanted a fast and inexpensive dinner. My phone order for chicken Pad See Iew was ready within about fifteen minutes and cost less than $10. It was different than the version of the dish I normally get at home, but delicious nonetheless. Not a bad option at all for a fast hotel room dinner.

GT W's review pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly. Drab strip mall location that has seen better days. We drove across town for carryout - don't plan on eating there unless you don't want to eat in your car because there are only a couple high boy tables and drab décor. All of this could have been overlooked if the food was good. But...it was just mediocre. And not worth the drive. And they gave out fortune cookies, which was cute but also very non-Thai. I was expecting a lot better based on the reviews. Good luck to this little establishment but we will be dining for Thai elsewhere.

I've had this place bookmarked for awhile and I'm so glad I finally got to try it! I ordered Tom Yum to-go ahead of time and they had it ready when I got there. It was still really hot when I brought it home too! The place is small but they do have seating. The man who helped me with my order was very nice and sweet! We made small talk and he warned me about the 25 cent charge for using my credit card for a meal that was less than $10 (thanks for warning me instead of not saying anything!). The soup was delicious and at great price for so much! I loved it! The only thing I would suggest would be to use sliced tomatoes instead of whole baby ones. Other than that, it was perfect!

I'm so grateful Yelp lead me to this great thai place. I come here all the time alone or with friends. They give you good amount of food for a cheap price. I like to get Pad See-ew here as it's always consistently good. The lunch special is the best as it's cheap while giving you a sample of bunch of appetizers and a bottle of water along with your food. It's more of takeout place but you can eat there if you want. I like to eat and talk there with my friends as almost no one is there. The owners are really nice and welcoming.

Giving a place this small 5 stars is almost insane; but then you walk in are greeted and chatted up by 2 of the nicest Thai immigrants one could ask for. The dining-in option is quaint: club tables/stools with a couch in another corner for takeout time-passing. If you tell him you're eating in, he provides full-service. Food is delivered in to-go containers anyway. About the food: fresh chopped vegetables (I watched) and zero over-seasoning. The different noodle dishes actually taste different. Portions are generous and taste is fresh and original. Originality is almost unseen in the Asian takeout market. Krua Thai has done it. One should note that the majority of their business is takeout so if you're eating in, there is a constant stream of regular customers picking up steaming orders of freshly-cooked Thai cuisine. So: great original Thai food, extremely friendly ownership and management, and I'd personally put this in the "$" category for the quality of food vs. the price. Almost every dishes was less than $10.

I've been here twice and had very good consistent food here. I did carry out/take away both times since it's easier for me personally. The dinning area is small and cramped and probably not for those who are looking for a good sit in dinning experience. The food was fresh and tasted authentic although I did notice some ingredients that I don't normally expect in Thai food (e.g. jalapeño peppers) but it didn't distract from the sweet/sour flavor balance that I tend to look for for Thai food. They do ask for spicy preference, so if you're looking for really authentic, you should ask for authentic spice levels. I would recommend for business personnel traveling and looking for decent Thai food. Not for sitting down with family, but would bring home to eat with the family.

Ate here due to convenience of location, mostly. There's a giant sign outside the window that says $7.50 lunch specials. For suburbs, $7.50 seems a little steep for a typical lunch portion (rectangular styrofoam box you know what I'm talking about) even if it does come with an appetizer and a bottled water/soup. The appetizers "of the day" for us (dunno if it actually changes) was an assortment of fried stuff - crab rangoon, potsticker, spring roll. They were all delicious and came with a flowery fish sauce-based dipping sauce. Unfortunately the entrees were meh. The cashew chicken and pad thai were both way too sweet. Overpoweringly sweet. The noodles on my pad thai were really dry and undercooked. There was a tomatoy flavor in the sauce that really grew on me that I've never tasted in any other pad thai before, but otherwise I didn't get the perfect interplay of sweet-sour-savory. The cashew chicken was so average until you douse with hot sauce. There is also no restroom - just ordering counter and a couple of tables you can stay to eat at. Definitely more of a take-out spot. Not so bad I wouldn't try some other stuff and give it another chance, but probably only if I happen to be starving before/after my haircut with Shana again (unless she moves before this happens, in which case the chances of me eating here again are probably pretty low).

Hidden in a small strip mall, you'll find a family owned Thai restaurant that prepares some tasty Thai dishes. I've tried the green curry (chicken, mild spicy), pad see ewe (beef, mild spicy), panang curry (chicken, mild) and pad kee mao (beef, medium spicy). All of them were very good and had great flavor. Portion sizes will fill you up and leave you wanting more. Also, if you're in the mood for an appetizer, I would recommend the crab rangoon. They prepare it will panko breading on the outside, which gives it a nice crunchy consistency. Finally, they have lunch specials if you're looking for a daily lunch deal!

It's a take out place. No bathroom, no highchair. Lunch menu is awesome. For $7.50, you get 4 pieces of fried appetizers (1 crab rangoon, 2 potstickers, 1 eggroll) a bottle of water, and the entree. Portion is huge. Food is kind of greasy.

This spot is one of my co-workers and I favorite spots. The food here is the bomb. I aleays get the beef pad thai lunch special, spicy. It is delicious!!! The service is ok, the man does not laugh or frown, but he gets the food right so no complaints here. The crab ragoon is crunchy and yummy.

Never had a bad dish here. We love love love their chicken pad thai, chicken kee mao, chicken satay, beef salad (forgot the real name of it), cucumber salad, and Thai iced tea. The owner is super nice and friendly. When they are busy, they will give you certain amount of time and asked if that's ok. In summary, awesome food and marvelous customer service

I went back this weekend and picked up delivery for myself and my wife. I think it was the dreams I was having about the pad see ew I had for lunch here last week. Not only was the food terrific again but I had a chance to chat with the owner, Toi, for a bit. SUPER nice guy, very humble and kind. He used to work at another Thai place in Chicago for the past 20 years, and although he didn't want to get into details about his past endeavors, he told me that he quit there and took a couple years hiatus, contemplating retirement. However, he used the time to concentrate on putting spins on his quality Thai food dishes at home, and decided he couldn't get away from cooking. It was a compelling story, and hence the reason Krua Thai was born!! Thank heavens and thanks for the conversation, Toi!!! I HAD to have the Pad See Ew again. Awesome. My wife had the tofu pad thai, and it was tasty. Not the best pad thai I've ever had, but fresh & clean flavors. We had some spring rolls that we very good, but the highlight was the pineapple fried rice. YUM!!! Had pineapple and raisins in it, making it a sweeter fried rice than any I have ever had. LOVED it!!! CANNOT wait to try some of the other fried rice dishes there!! Thanks again to Toi, and please people, try this place and support local business!!! It's people like this who deserve your business, not these corporate places out there that are churning out processed food without a care or thought towards quality or passion!!!

I am a Thai food junkie, and this place serves some of the best Thai ever. I love their Pad Kee Mao, Chicken Satay, Pad See Ew and darn near everything we have ever ordered. Just really great food.

Wonderful spot. Delivery or carry out only. The basil fried rice is simply outstanding. Tom kha soup is so delicious and spicy. Perfect. Curry noodle soup is also just as yummy fo tha tuh-me. Softly curried and very warming. The chicken satay is, how do you say, so fine. The potstickers were teeny but plentiful and so tasty and well perfectly done. Cab Rangoon were also tiny but oh do tasty and enough to go around. The duck and broccoli was very tasty but I'm not a duck fan. The ginger chicken was very tasty and comes with crispy noodles on top that are delivered separately to keep the crispness to the max. Excellent place. Very friendly. Great food.

Count me as a big fan of the joint. IMHO, the food is good, the price is fair, and the service is consistent and humble. The owner really cares and will remember your name once you been there a few times. Give the place shot, it passes my Thai snob test. I do wish it had a bathroom.

Gave it a try because of the positive reviews but food was so Disgusting very dry and old veggies used in the rice dish.. No flavor . Papaya salad smelled really bad I've had papaya salad all my life ... This was probably one of the worst ...If you like well seasoned food and are picky about thai flavors this is not the spot for you ... Also got super sick after eating it

Very good! FYI This is a take away, or as you say carry out. There are a few tables and we had a whole meal there, it was served in the traditional take out style, very authentic.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. When you first pull up, you're thinking "ew this is it"! Trust me just try it. Clean, family run, and definitely the BEST Pad Thai I've ever had outside of Thailand. Loved the Crab Rangoon, Spring Rolls and Mussaman too....but that Pad Thai was out of this world!

My lips are burning and I'm smiling. The Tom Yum is fantastic. As I waited 3 locals came in and the Owner knew them by name. It is definitely the place the locals know. This is a take out place with little flair but the food is very good.

The seafood tom yum soup is to die for. Perfect on a cold summer's morning or cool summers night. The soup just hit me right into the soul. Good, down home ingredients slow cooked broth. The way my mom used to make it at home. It bright life back into my body after 2 days of Chicago's best hot dogs and pizza. I ordered it mild. The next day I ordered the tom kha soup with vegetables. It seems the vegetables were hard and stiff so it wasn't pleasant chewing. The broth itself was good. Then in the evening I ordered crab rangoon and Thai fried rice with shrimp. The crab rangoom were heavily battered and overly deep friend. Didn't care for that. The taste of it is okay. I've had better though. The Thai fried rice itself was delicious. Very good flavor and the shrimp was good. It will be returning.

Visited for dinner on a Thursday night. The place is small...about 350 sqft. of public area...no public restroom. Overheard that the owner had run a Thai restaurant in the city for 20 years, retired to the suburbs and got bored...decided to open up a take-out place. Take-out is really what they are geared for...and the take-out business was brisk (not knowing this, we had planned to dine in). Dining in was OK...but everything came in "to-go" boxes, and we were given styrofoam / plastic to eat with. It's a mom & pop shop (literally), and the owner was friendly. They have 4 tables (all tall, with stools). I was underwhelmed with my food...Cashew chicken...medium spicy. Although traditionally a Chinese dish, I've had this at Thai restaurants before with outstanding results. It really didn't have much flavor...and there was virtually no heat/spice to it. It wasn't bad...but not something I would order again. My wife liked the Phad Thai and fried tofu (although she would have liked it crispier), and the kids liked their Chicken Satay...but they aren't hard to please. Dishes are reasonably priced at $8 - $10, but plan for take-out. A group of 5 also dined in, and I could tell they had expected something more of the dining experience (regarding lack of dine-in amenities).

This is some of the best thai I've had - it's easy to miss this place because it's in a small strip mall. Stopped here for lunch on a weekday and the lunch special was really good - an entree (i had extra spicy chicken pad thai), an appetizer (3-4 pieces - veggie egg roll, crab rangoon, veggie dumpling), and your choice of soda or bottled water--for $7.50! The portions were huge so I ended up having leftovers for two meals! Will definitely stop by again.

Great tasting food with clean, light flavors. Reasonably priced items and good selection of vegetable choices: veg egg roll & veg pot sticker has a good sauce. Friendly service every time I go here. Plan on making this a regular take home dinner option since it close to my office & house.

I love Thai food, but it's been hard to find in the burbs, and I stopped by today for a quick dinner to give them a try. Yes, it's mostly a takeout place, but there are several tables in case you want to stay and eat, which was nice. The place isn't fancy, but the chicken green curry fried rice was fantastic. The spring rolls were very nice too. The owner was super friendly and eager to chat while the food is being made. I'll definitely be back to try their other dishes.

My favorite carry out place. The food is outstanding. I really savor the flavors. I've tried several things and have found them all to be wonderful. The owner is very nice and polite. I'd like to keep this place a secret, but I'd much rather see them thrive.

This is a small place, with seating for about 12 ppl. I got the lunch special which is an appetizer, entrée and bottle of water for $7.95. The appetizer is an eggroll, a crab rangoon, and a pot sticker. Too much deep fried stuff for me, especially during the day, but it was decent. My entrée was a solid 3 stars. It was good, could have been spicier, and there was not enough meat in my opinion, but the flavors were decent. I'd go back for a work day lunch.

Great friendly owner. We always get the tofu pat sew ew, green curry fried rice, n jingle curry. I have ordered papaya salad, friend eggroll, they were all good. Only down side is inconsistent delivery. Very often they tell you they can't do it because they don't have the driver.

Tried this place the other day. I had the pad see ew and it was very good. I'll need to try the pad thai next time. My only problem with this restaurant is that they use Styrofoam. Please use a paper container or plastic that can be recycled. Thanks!

Enjoyed our first dinner from Krua Thai. The owner and wife(?) were very friendly. We tried the fresh spring rolls. They came out slightly warm as they had just seasoned the tofu in them. That was a nice change. As usual for Thai places the light brown sauce that came with them was not that great (too mild and sweet) but we dipped them in the dressing from the terrific green papaya salad and that was a winning combination. The green papaya salad was extremely fresh and had a strong (but delicious!) hit of fish sauce and fresh garlic. The tofu pad thai was one of the best we've had - sweet, savory and with the correctly cooked whole egg added to the pan so you could see the different colors of he yolk and white. The tofu was in big chunks and were nicely crisped. Basil chicken used ground chicken the way I like it, They also added long strips of bamboo shoots (?) which was different but it all tasted great. We could not finish our entrees and yet didn't feel that gross full or greasy feeling you can get at Asian spots. It is truly a carryout and delivery place since they don't have a restroom but they will bring out some water and let you eat at the four high top tables in the nicely decorated waiting area. You eat on paper plates and serve yourself from the carryout containers but it is nice to eat there as the food is freshest eaten on site. Looking forward to trying their basil fried rice and some curry dishes.

Great thai food! I loved the tofu pad thai and the beef pad see ewe. I also got the chicken panang curry and it had a lot of chicken and fresh vegetables. The flavors of all three dishes were clean and on point. The owner was very nice and accomodating. We dined in and the dining area was very small, yet cozy. I would definitely come back again!

Best Thai food I've ever had! I bring everyone there and glad he relocated from the city somewhere so you can still get his amazing food. Everything on the menu is recommended because I've tried just about everything. Highly recommend the crab Rangoon, it's very unique! Be sure to get a Thai iced tea too!

I read some of the reviews below and was hesitant at first, but was really surprised. I got the chicken pad Thai and ginger chicken lunch specials, and was surprised at how much food there actually was. At least two meals worth for one lunch special . The only well priced and fast Thai food in glenview.

I drive out from Chicago to go to Krua Thai...this is the best Thai cuisine in the Chicago area. The owners have had a long history presenting Thai food in a way that is fresh, tasty and spiced to your wishes....ie, hot, medium or mild. I love the pot stickers and my all time favorite is: Chicken Pad Pick....medium spicy....Pat and Toi (owners) will make it to your specificatons. This is cafe is new to the North Shore...(only about 4 months), but already is doing well. I am glad. I will go to Krua Thai Cafe often...gotta get my superb Thai food fix.

They have a lunch special which includes a huge portion of whichever entree there's only like maybe 6 or somewhere around there you can pick from. Includes an appetizer and water bottle. I'd say it's the healthier version of Thai food. I wouldn't say authentic. Fried rice pad Thai and Tom kha is good with rice. The lunch special could really feed two ppl actually for like $7-$8 bucks.

Was chilly inside and they don't have much seating, but they are very nice and accommodating! We were an unannounced group of 9, and they were patient and kind- even gave us a large order of potstickers for free! They're primarily a take out operation, so if you come in to sit and eat, you'll still get to go containers and plastic silverware. Despite all of this, the food is SO good. Go there, and be happy.

Located in a strip mall. Crab rangoons good; husband liked the pad thai, ordered the pineapple fried rice with tofu. It was fine. They give you the food in styrafoam containers, even if you are eating in. With the portions they give you (huge), I guess it takes care of the 1 extra step of wrapping it up to take home. I've been here a couple of times and the portions are so overwhelming that sometimes it kind of takes away from the meal.

Visiting Chicago at the Marriott and ordered delivery from Krua Thai, had the Tom Yum Soup (hot) and Chicken Pad Thai (hot) and I'm pleased to report this is some of the best Thai food I've ever had, from the spicy kick of fiery chili dishes to the tasty fresh ingredients, everything surpassed my expectations. Pretty amazing for random Thai in an unfamiliar city...I have to say I can't wait to order from this place again! Delicious and generous portion sizes with a very friendly staff. Definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for good Thai.

I was not impressed with the Pad Thai my first time at this hole in the wall so I figured I'll give it another chance with a different dish. I love Thai food & have been to many Thai restaurant in D.C., NY, LA, SF & SJ but I have never tasted anything like the Basil Fried Rice at this place. Simply said, it's to die for & that's why I'm going there again tonight for another serving of it.

I love this place! The owner (Toi) used to own a place near me in the city (Thai Thai, which is still around under new management and horrible now) but left that location and started with Krua Thai about a year ago. I had been going to the other place for about 5-6 years and have switched to Krua now since I have always been pleased with the service and quality of food with him. My favorites are the Chicken Pad Thai, Crab Rangoon, Fried Tofu, Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls, Tom Kha, and Seafood Tom Yum. The Thai Iced Tea is also delicious! Whenever I am at work and have a taste for Thai I call them up and have recruited my co-workers as well. We all love Krua Thai for the quality and value, and appreciate the courteousness of the owners whenever we come in. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic Thai place within a five minute drive from my house ... um, YESH please! We've done takeout from Krua Thai twice now. Our first experience consisted of Tom Kha, Nam Sod, Mussamun and free vegetable pot stickers that the owner tossed in. The Tom Kha had a perfect balance of spices and was very satisfying. Neither the kefir lime or the chilies were too prominent, but just perfect. The Nam Sod was amazingly refreshing and the perfect answer to a hot and humid summer day. Mussamun done medium rounded out the meal with a bit of heat and perfectly done potatoes. The complimentary pot stickers were nice and crisp. The owner takes care to pack them with holes cut out of the lid so they don't get soggy. The second time around we grabbed the papaya salad, pad woon sen and pad seafood. The papaya salad was confusing in the best of ways! One moment it's refreshing and the next it's spicy ... my taste buds were cheering with delight. Both of our main dishes were beyond what we had encountered at other Thai restaurants ... simple dishes that are too often underwhelming but done justice at Krua Thai. Note that it isn't really a dine in establishment but more of a takeout venture, though they do have a few tables. The first time I came in the owner talked with us a bit about where we had heard of the restaurant. I dig the fact that they do Thai and nothing else; no maki, no sushi, just flat out Thai. They do it right, they do it well, and we will be coming back for more.

The food is great, and the service is greater. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew seem lighter and fresher than other Thai places (less saucy and less oily?). The Basil Fried Rice is delicious. Portions are gigantic and full of meat AND veggies. The owner is very friendly! It's our go-to Thai place now.

Awesome Thai food! I had the Pad Thai (spicy) and potstickers delivered for lunch today. First, the delivery was super fast - the host quoted 30 minutes, but I swear the delivery arrived in 15. Second, the food was delicious. The Pad Thai had tons of very healthy flavors with lots of veggies and meat. The potstickers (huge order for $4.95!) were great, as well - perfectly fried but not overly greasy. This is my new Thai place in the burbs!

Excellent Thai food, fresh and flavorful. IMHO Superior to Rama in GV, Thai Thai in Deerfield, My Thai in Northbrook. It's carry out and I wish this was sit down (only a single bar-height table and a few stools) as I can tell the food suffers from waiting to get it home, but it's 5 star carry out.

Finally! Fantastic Thai food in the burbs. So fresh, perfectly spiced, plentiful portions. The owner couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. He used to be at a small Thai place in the Irving Park area but lucky for us, he's moved to a strip mall on Milwaukee north of Lake. You can't go wrong with the Spicy Chicken Basil, the Basil Fried Rice, or the Lad Nar, the first I've ever had with perfectly crisped wide noodles that soften up in the delicious sauce. We will be going every other week or so until we find our favorites. You should too. The only drawback to this place is the difficulty getting in and out of the parking lot during rush hour, since Milwaukee is jammed from Saunders to Lake and you need to rely on a kind soul not to block the entrance. But don't let that stop you! Oh, it's carryout only, unless you count the two small tables where I suppose you could eat if you wanted to.

This is really good Thai food, people... There are plenty of mediocre and bad Thai places out here in northwest-suburbia, but this place is actually quite good. On this particular snowy Friday evening, they were slow. The guy who took my order and assembled my food gave us some free vegetable pot-stickers - he was excited that I'd seen the new signage when I drove by. Fish cakes? I never had them before but I will definitely add them to our ratation and order them again. The squid salad was sooo excellent and the noodles and fried rice were good too. I'm looking forward to Lent ending so we can really order without restraint.

Tried Krua Thai for a few times now and the food is great!!! I know some friends that are Thai and I had authentic Thai foods from them. This place is pretty close... I'm glad there's a good Thai restaurant nearby instead of going all the way to Waukegan to pick up my Thai Foods.

I had the Seafood Lad Na, Tom Kha, thai tea, & thai coffee, which are some of my favorite dishes & drinks. It was sooooooo good! I couldn't stop eating! The owner was very nice. I would go there again! Just so you know, this is more of a take out hole in wall, instead of a sit down restaurant. Real Thai owners and cookers means real thai food. The only thing that I would improve is the itemized receipt, but then a again this is a hole in wall and that's where you would get the authentic & awesome food.

I went for lunch today with a few colleagues from work. We all had items on the lunch menu. The food was very good and well priced. An appetizer trio, entree, and soda for $7.50! As others indicated, the inside is small and can only seat about 8 individuals. However, the owner was very friendly and the food was fresh and tasty.

Excellent food. Highly recommend for carryout or delivery. Not set up for dine in. Very sweet couple that owns and runs. Best Tom Kha soup I've ever had. Everything was delicious. Only draw back is it is really carry out / delivery only.

  • Vicky C.

My favorite carry out place. The food is outstanding. I really savor the flavors. I've tried several things and have found them all to be wonderful. The owner is very nice and polite. I'd like to keep this place a secret, but I'd much rather see them thrive.

I read some of the reviews below and was hesitant at first, but was really surprised. I got the chicken pad Thai and ginger chicken lunch specials, and was surprised at how much food there actually was. At least two meals worth for one lunch special . The only well priced and fast Thai food in glenview.

  • Mel M.

I almost walked out the door. Food finally came and of course no sauces and no silverware still. Everyone else that came into the store was picking up to-go orders they had already called in. I don't live here, so didn't have that option. Sweet Jesus.

Stopped by for lunch today at 11:30am. They were closed? Even though they supposedly opened at 11am? No sign on the door or anything.

Thanks!

My lips are burning and I'm smiling. The Tom Yum is fantastic. As I waited 3 locals came in and the Owner knew them by name. It is definitely the place the locals know. This is a take out place with little flair but the food is very good.

This is a hidden gem. NOT an Americanized McDonalds of Thai food. Great owner. DUCK curry ROCKS. As does the beef salad appetizer. This is also a great place to take out from. Very conveniently located.

Count me as a big fan of the joint. IMHO, the food is good, the price is fair, and the service is consistent and humble. The owner really cares and will remember your name once you been there a few times. Give the place shot, it passes my Thai snob test. I do wish it had a bathroom.
