Walked in thinking this was gonna be an overpriced rip off, but walked out having enjoyed the whole concept! Clean as can be and staff was very friendly and helpful. Really no more expensive than other ice cream places in town and you get exactly what you want. Low calorie options or load it up with sugar and empty calories--you choose! Certainly will return again soon.
Cherry Berry has recently merged with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and it is awesome. Their desert selection is better than any other fro-yo place in town now. Also, everyone can find something to indulge on here. The assortment of chocolate goodies looked delicious, but I had the cookies and cream taffy apple- it is amazing.
I mean come on...self serve frozen yogurt will endless topping choices. Its a sweet deal. They even had some dairy free options that were not bad! You pay by weight so you decide how much or little you want. There were over 10 yogurt options and toppings including fruit, candy bars, cereal, candy, gummies, syrup, nuts, ect. The style is super trendy and modern. Very clean and nice staff. They also have a deal for people who wear their tshirt on a certain day of the week, they get free yogurt! If i lived there I would make that my weekly treat!

The owner of this place and his family are really hospitable. You can tell they have a passion for what they're doing, or at least genuinely appreciate your business. I typically order falafel bites with tahini sauce, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, or one of their salads. I'm always pleased & the ingredients always taste fresh. My partner goes there a bit more than I do. He loves the gyros and falafel as well. I wish they had tabouleh.
I came here with no idea what the place was like or served. We are visiting ISU and wandered in. Food was delicious. I had an Italian beef and it was just as good if not better than Portillo's back home. I hope to come back on my next visit. Update: here on another visit and came back. Love this place!
Nice clean place. Good prompt service. the gyro cheeseburger was messy w too much mayo/tzadiki for my taste. the gyros themselves were ok, but could have benefited from more spice. the fries were GREAT! Its in downtown Normal without a dedicated parking lot and as such, parking is what it is

A decent gyro at a fair price. No atmosphere, but I didn't really expect any.

Brandi is the best worker. Love my NUTella shake! Was served quickly and got our food fast. Watched the grill guy Bobbo sweat his rear off to get that hot greasy beef off the grill. The other guy helping him had his buns covered though.
I've eaten at this Steak 'n Shake several dozen times in the last 15 years. Just down the road to the west is Darnall's GunWorks & Shooting Range, and I've attended a half dozen classes there over the years. I also go down this way on vacation to South Carolina in August, and I ALWAYS stop here on the way down and on the way back. I most often get the 5 way chili. I think I might like the Steak 'n' Shake version better than the traditional Skyline Chili version. The seasoned fries are good too. On my last visit I had a garlic double steakburger and the Cajun spiced fries. They have a lot of varieties of spiced fries that seem interesting that I will have to test fire on future trips. (Too bad they don't sell beer to go with the seasoned fries . . . ) And Steak 'n Shake is a place that understands a good glass of milk. Large size glass and it's always cold. I most often buy official Steak 'n Shake seasoned salt to take home. It tastes similar to Lawry's Salt, but my niece and nephew think that it's the neatest stuff in the world. I'm not sure why, except that they have also often eaten at this particular Steak 'n Shake so getting seasoned salt here is a big deal.
My favorite old 50's Restaurant that's still around.

Always awesome ice cream, especially on a hot summer evening. So many combinations, and honestly you don't need more than a small!
I only gave this place 2 stars because they're clean and the service wasn't terrible. Yes, Cold Stone Creamery has a lot of flavors and mix--in options. They have cakes and cupcakes and those weird cookie sandwiches that have icing (or maybe it's ice cream, wh knows) between two chocolate chip cookies. They've got variety. You can even fill some of their own cartons up with ice cream However, I feel like they've let their variety get in the way of their quality. I mean, it's neat and all that they have an anti griddle, that's pretty cool, but. The way they price, you figure would get at least good quality ice cream, if not a bigger portion. I paid about $11 for two tiny cups of mediocre ice cream. Dairy Queen or just store brand carton of ice cream would be way better, especially for the price. Want better quality and more ice cream? Go to Emak and Bolio's instead. They're less corporate and so they haven't sacrificed their quality of food. Plus, way bigger portions. I got nearly 3x as much better ice cream there for the same price. And I actually got a chocolate dipped cone, instead of just a tiny bowl. TL;DR: You're better off getting store bought or Emak and Bolio's. It's too expensive for such mediocre quality.
Got the cheesecake fantasy gotta have it size(large), and it was amazing!!! The ice cream was so big it was almost overflowing! Which I don't mind. Also everything was mixed in perfectly. the server gave a general portion of strawberry, blueberry, and graham cracker.

Loved the food! Got the blue cheese steak. Unfortunately the service was terrible. It was truly disappointing.:(
Great place for a Friday afternoon. Drinks, food and great music. Thursday's are ladies night with 1/2 price appetizers and drink specials. Just held a my 1st couples wedding shower there - perfect! Great food, our own bartender, TVs for the games and nice decor.
I went to Swingers when it first opened and kind of forgot about it. I had never been to dinner there until recently. I was pleasantly surprised. Our entrees were delicious and we got excellent service. It was a weekday night so they weren't too busy.

I chose this place for dinner based on a number of recommendations and for the most part I was not disappointed. The appetizers were tasty and creative. I had the beer battered asparagus and deep fried cheese curds. Both were very good. My burger was perfectly cooked and came with perfectly cooked thick cut bacon and a very tasty sweet BBQ sauce which complimented things well. The fries were cut way to thick leading to an undercooked middle. The chocolate mouse desert was a big disappointment. We sent the first one back because it came on a dirty plate. The manager brought out the second one with apologies. The second incarnation was overpoweringly seasoned with cinnamon. We are talking about an "I dare you to eat that" amount of cinnamon. Most of the beers were lackluster to average, but there were also some very good beers such as Vortex. The Barley Wine was undrinkable. It tasted like a dirty bum had bathed in it. The service was outstanding. The hostess, waiter, and manager all went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. They were all knowledgeable and well trained and even when we had problems they were quick to fix everything. I would go to Destihl again although I would steer away from the barley wine and chocolate mouse.
I am a frequent diner at this establishment. Heard of the new menu changes and decided to try to come in Christmas Eve as they were one of the few restaurants to stay open later. Stopped in to get a table and was told the wait would be 35-45 min. Decided to check the bar for a table, all were full on the way back out noticed over half the dining room was empty. 35-45min wait? Who is in line for these tables? Decided to eat somewhere else, the beer is ok, and the food average for what they charge, service is always lacking. I feel they are spending more time on there new brewery and less on their menu, and customer service. They really need to step it up if they want to improve and keep their customers.
One of my favorite restaurants in Blo/No. Love love love love the beer battered asparagus appetizer....so delicious. Mmmmm mmm. The interior is beautiful and sophisticated...a nice change from the tacky and busy decor of the corporate chain restaurants that seem to run this town. One thing that always stands out is the awesome service. It seems they train their staff very well. Service is top notch here. Being a server myself, I appreciate the efforts!
