What is with all the sad reviews? :( Is it again because I'm just not picky and want to spend tons of money on food all the time? Well---I love this place. Especially if I just go with one of my girls...when we can't decide on a place to eat on 59 ..we go here....it's in the middle of all the restaurants on 59 and there is never too much of a long wait. They got a good deal right now! 2 people eat for 20 dollars...really? Can you beat that? I know these kind of deals are popular right now but still...you get to sit, customer service is delightful, and this place can leave a you enough food to save for lunch the next day! I always love their wings and eggrolls (similar to the one at Cheesecake Factory!) and my absolute favorite is their Cajun Chicken Pasta (I like spicy -and this is spicy-yum!) My girl is a Vegetarian and even if she smells meat in her food she does not eat it...and once she smelled it, they apologized after doing their research and finding out that the oil is cooked in with the same food they made for her and they without her complaining took it off the bill and she got something new! If you are a VEGE lover, you can get the cajun pasta with veges like broccoli, tomatoes, whatever (they add it without trouble!) I have always loved Chili's..probably have been to this one more than I can count of my fingers!

Busy day. Bad food. Waiter was apologetic. The sliders had all the salt in the dead sea and the wait would beat a crowd waiting for iPhone 6. Would have given 0 stars but the non existent manager did take the bill on the house.

It's your typical Chili's, the food is always wonderful. I ate there for lunch with my girlfriend while waiting for an oil change. It was quick in-and-out, which is what we wanted. Being the lunch shift it seemed like we had a younger server just starting out, but apparently they have some sort of zone system with their servers because his partner was a lot of help for him. But my Honey Chipotle BBQ Chicken Crispers are absolutely wonderful, with fries, and corn on the cob (which at first I was hesitant to try, but turned out really well). I will always keep coming back because the only problems I have had is a slight lacking of excitement from the hosts. But you only interact with them when you walk in after all.

typical chain restaurant but the food was still good. had the salmon with rice & broccoli. the rice didnt have that much taste to it but the salmon was pretty tasty. my girl had the honey chipotle chicken tenders with mashed potatoes & corn. the potatoes were kinda cold so she didnt like that but the chicken was pretty good. it had a lil twang to it so i was pleasantly surprised. i dont usually go to chain restaurants but this wasnt so bad that i would actually come back.

I came in for a late lunch. It was very busy but my waitress was both efficient and friendly while also dealing considerately with a large group and a custom order. chillis food is pretty standard fare--but reasonably priced.

Its a chain restraunt, if you are going expecting the greatest of great food. You have wrong expectation. I like the chill's we have on Rt 59, the servers are nice , helpful. The place is very vibrant and has a positive feel to it. The food is good too. Over all a great place to go with friends etc.

The waitress was really helpful. She returned to the table a few times and was very attentive. I like the new computer tablet screens that then have. It allows you to pay on the machine as well as do a review on the service. Great idea.

I do not know what has happened to this Chilis. It used to be a great meal and great environment, a destination on route 59 for dinner. Now I am genuinely worried every time that I go in with my family that something will go wrong. We go out to eat as a family once to twice a week in Naperville. Family of 3. We have visited this Chilis 3 times in the last 3 months and twice had a poor experience. From under-cooked steaks, to slow service, to waiting at the door for two minutes before a hostess greets you when the restaurant is empty, to 45 minutes to prepare your food and not even an apology even though people who came after you are eating before you, to dirty tables, to not being allowed to sit in a booth because no one is assigned to that section (its five feet away from where you are going to seat us!), to burnt kid's meals. I can go on all night. This Chili's has seen its standards drop. Construction hurts business, but that doesn't excuse filthiness, food that isn't prepared correctly, or service that forget what the word service means. Hopefully one day Chilis will care enough to go inside this restaurant and fix it. Get it back to what it once was, a fun clean and well staffed place to go for a good meal.

I honestly love Chili's food. This location has had such bad service to the point where I was just tired of complaining and gave up and started going to the one in Oswego that renewed our hope in Chilis. The food at this location is almost always cold. We continued to have an issue with rare burgers, including the kids meal burgers. We kept having issues with cold fries. I even had a waitress tell me that I couldn't get soup with my meal if I was going to give it to my daughter because only the person who ordered the meal was supposed to eat the soup. My daughter was 5 at the time and loves soup. She was trying to make me pay extra for a cup of soup. I did complain to managers and I even got a gift card and kept giving it a try but the service was just too bad. I hate complaining to managers because I don't want to come off as someone who is trying to get free food. So I just gave up on this location.

I haven't been to Chili's in ages and felt like trying something from their menu. I ordered the bacon and avocado chicken sandwich with fries on the side. The food was absolutely terrible. The sandwich was lukewarm, and the fries tasted like cold, dehydrated potatoes. The server was good about bringing me some "hot" fries, but these had the same bland leathery taste. Very disappointing meal and I won't be back any time soon.

My husband And I walked in at 8:15 on a Tuesday night and the whole place was filthy! The waitress couldn't find a clean table ( the rest of the place was about 20% full) so she asked if we minded waiting while she wiped one down. We went into the bathroom to wash our hands and the women's room was gross! There were paper towels all over the toilet seats and floor. I walked out and the floors were covered with straw papers, food, and garbage. When I got to the table the seats were still wet . It was gross! Can't comment on the food , though because my husband cane out of the men s room and exclaimed " the kitchen is filthy... Let's go!"

I'm updating my review because my experiences have gone from bad to worse. I stopped going there for some time after my last review but my wife and I figured we'd give them another chance the last couple of months. Last night remind us why we stopped going there. Our appetizer was cold, took forever for our server to come back to even take our order and we had to flag other servers down to refill our drinks because our server couldn't be found. A previous newer post that was saying that his drinks were always full and meal was warm must be a paid rating because that's been farthest from the truth fr our experiences.

Chili's, in my opinion, is going downhill FAST! The last few times I've gone here the food takes forever, service is just OK, food is warm/cold, and nothing tastes good. Also, since it is a chain, there is a huge lacking for tasty low-cal meals. Unless there was a huge group of people I was with out-voting me, I don't think I will be back.

Why does Chili's keep changing their menu? Obviously their business model works, they are a chain restaurant and people keep coming. A few years ago, they took mozzarella sticks (excuse me, fried cheese) off the menu. Then it came back. Now the Southwest chicken wrap is off the menu. Curse! I had lunch here with my parents on a Saturday afternoon. It was very busy, and it appeared the waiters had a little trouble keeping up with the tables (mostly families with small children). It could've been a kitchen issue, as it took a long time to get our food. The food was good. I really like the Triple Dipper (choose 3 appetizers) when I can't decide what I want, and when I promise myself I can't eat an entire plate of chicken crispers. Chicken crispers alone are delicious, but it's a massive, artery-clogging meal. The Triple Dipper is too, I can't lie about that, but I love their southwestern eggrolls. I usually get the fried cheese (eyeroll) as my 3rd choice and it makes a perfect, guilty-pleasure, I-eat-like-an-American, meal. This time I had the eggrolls, spinach & artichoke dip, and the mini burgers. The burgers were terrible. Dry bun and patty, with a teensy bit of cheese and some bacon crumbs. Blah! Great food, good service, overall not a bad option in the Fox Valley mall area.

Food was good. The service was awful. Our server was slow getting our drinks. And when our food came, he slammed them on the table and just said "okay" and left. He never came and checked on us afterwards, not even for the check. Not really sure why he was so abrasive to us because he was uber nice to the table next to us......I will not be going back to this exact chilie's location due to the service I received.

The food is your typical chain restaurant mix, but there is a good variety to choose from. Portions are ample, and the food was served hot. Ordered the Tableside Guacamole as an appetizer. My server was Jake, and he did an exceptional job preparing and presenting. Jake is what made the meal stand out as exemplary. Drinks were always filled, and he made sure the service was excellent. That's what builds repeat customers! Overall, a great dining experience.

This review is based on what I ordered the last time I was there. I got the guacamole burger and a strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade tasted really good and the guac burger was AMAZING!!! The server was really nice and it was neat how you could pay at the table. My only complaint is I literally only got like 7 steak fries with my burger... my coworker got double the amount I got. It seemed like someone with small hands grabbed as many fries as they could and put it on my plate.

I used to love Chili's but not anymore. The last 2 times have been lower quality but Chili's has always been a favorite so for my birthday it was the obvious choice. Unfortunately. The specialty drink I ordered tasted like water from the first sip. The glass was filled to the rim with ice so perhaps the liquor, ect was all in the sticky overflow napkin mess I was handed. My steak was undercooked & my daughters food cold. We did not bother to stay for desert as planned. The waiter was sub-par during service & charged us incorrectly for our meals. As my husband paid I went to the bathroom but found it, along with the back of the restaurant, unclean. It did have a surface clean to it which reminded me of how the kids "clean" their rooms. Given the caked-on gunk in the floors I doubt it had been cleaned in days. Or weeks. I literally felt like to vomit. We immediately left. We will NOT be back!

We stopped for a snack at about 8pm last Saturday night. I had a tough time getting past how dirty it is in there. I must have put hand sanitizer on three times. I did eat the southwest egg rolls and they were good but I get a little hinky when I'm somewhere that is sticky.

Blah. I really don't like any thing from Chili's. Honestly, if you want Mexican or Tex-Mex, there so many other places, with much better food, would love to have your patronage. They have healthy menu options, so I respect that.

SLOOOOW! Waitress ignored us, for the first 15 minutes. When we ordered she seemed very confused. It seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu. the order was wrong when it finally came out 45 minutes later. Fortunately the error we in our favor as my wife's entrée was larger than she had ordered. The manager who brought our food out said that he would correct he bill to ensure that we weren't charged for the mistake. We Asked for an extra plate to share one of the meals, the plate never showed up; however she was there immediately to clear my plate? As I took my last bite and as I set my fork down she snatched the plate away. Oh and don't expect to have any drinks refilled ever, ever, ever. I do recall our waitress stopping by the birthday party table next to ours a few times to check on them. These check-ins at the birthday party table stick out in my mind because she shoved my chair in every time she squeezed her way over to the far side of their table. I guess we were in the way. I have to assume that the waitress was inflicted with a bad case of diarrhea that kept her busy for the duration of our visit. Regarding the food: it was fine, not exceptionally good or bad. The Oswego IL Rt-34 location is far superior to the Naperville IL Rt-59 location. I am consistently a 20% tipper for reasonably good service, but this was so bad that I just left the difference to the next dollar and felt that maybe that was still too much. This review is more one star for a horrible waitress than a bad place to eat, but why risk it, just go somewhere else.

Typical chain restaurant in the burbs. Can't say too much about this location. Food came out fast and the 2 for $20 deal is great. Also cool about this location is the game devices on all the tables. You can play unlimited games for $.99. You can also review the bill on the machine. pretty cool

Very bad. Manager not able to read how old I was on my European drive license. I'm 41 and he refused to serve me!!!.... He should change his job... Hopefully there are many other place to go. Some people like to loose customer

Chili's is one of my favorite restaurant. Usually we dine here for dinner. On this particular day, we went to have lunch. We ordered Cajun chicken pasta & mango Chile thilapia. Its 20 for 2 meal. Oh boy, its yummy. One thing to appreciate Chiili's is their timely serving and reasonable. When i mean reasonable i really mean it. Unlike some restaurants, where they will serve the main course and then our appetizer will be served. Chilli's is unique and the customer service gets more than 5 stars. That brings me often here. I tasted almost all the items in the menu. Everything is good. More then anything, good for kids. They provided my Kid with crayons and a small book to play with. Overall another excellent experience at Chilli's Naperville.

My husband and I came here for lunch with our daughter. We had a coupon for a free kids' meal if an adult entree was bought. SCORE! I ordered the bottomless salad, soup, and chips combo, my husband ordered the lunch combo that comes with soup, a sandwich, and fries, and my daughter got the cheese pizza. The chicken chile soup was AMAZING. The first soup I got was the broccoli cheddar, and upon tasting the chicken chile soup, I was instantly envious and I knew that would be my next bowl! :) My salad was good, and my daughter loved her cheese pizza. As always, the fries were phenomenal, and my husband's chicken fajita sandwich was DELICIOUS as well!! The only thing that was a down side was our waitress. She was attentive, yes, but I was sort of put off with her attitude--she never smiled and sort of acted like we were always bothering her. Our total bill WITH tax and tip was $20. Twenty dollars well-spent, I say :) I also liked the computers on the tables now--there are games, you can order food from there, and you can pay your bill directly from the table! What a time-saver!!

The food was good, and the service great, very nice people. Two stars for the following 2 reasons. 1) all the condiments literally had water added to them.....2) the place was dirty.....plates were still wet when they brought them out, and some had little specks of food. If Matthew the manager reads this, please take it as constructive criticism. Y'all have a nice restaurant just some of the rough edges need to be ironed out.

Recipe for the (sadly discontinued) Southwestern Cobb Salad: Step 1: Go to Chili's and order a regular Cobb Salad. Step 2: Apologize to the waitress, but you'll need the following alterations to your order: - Add pico de gallo and corn relish - Omit the red bell peppers - Substitute crispy chicken for grilled chicken Step 3: Apologize again, this time adding that it's really Chili's fault for taking this glorious salad off the menu in the first place Step 4: ENJOY YOUR DELICIOUS SOUTHWESTERN COBB SALAD, MOTHERFUCKERS You're welcome.

This Chili's was a lifesaver. I had a project to work on with a co-worker, so we left the library for something to eat. Chili's had Wi-Fi so we started working on our laptop computer. When the laptop when running out of power, I asked our server, if there was an outlet available. She moved us to another table that had an outlet nearby. We finished our project and the staff was extremely nice about not rushing us out and kept me hydrated with iced tea even after we paid the bill. My talapia was delicious. Thanx

We just had dinner - I had the sirloin with 2 sides (cole slaw and broccoli), and my wife had the mini-bites. The sirloin was very tasty and nicely seasoned. The Cole slaw is new on the menu and is pretty spicy. Broccoli was good. My wife loved her mini-bites. At 6:30pm on a Friday night, we had to wait about 7 minutes for a table. Service was good - not too much and not ignored.

My boyfriend and I walked in with his best friend for a late night meal this past Saturday. There was no one in the front so we waited for a few minutes until a waitress came and sat us down. We had yr four month old, in her car seat, so she sat us in a booth. She took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. Our drinks came rather quickly. No straws.... Okay. My boyfriend's friend had the yelp app which guaranteed he'd get ffree chips and salsa if he checked in. When those were brought out she took our order. My boyfriend got the taco pizza, and his friend and i split the 2 for $20. We both got the 6 oz steak, his medium rare mine medium well, and half an order of the fries. The food arrived in about ten maybe fifteen minutes. The pizza was... well a taco pizza. but my boyfriend said it was good. Our plates had mashed potatoes, broccoli and garlic bread. Because i got my meat medium well it was a bit dry. Over all it was good, my daughter enjoyed the mashed potatoes. Halfway through our meal our waitress refilled the guys' drinks. Shortly after i finished mine but it sat empty for another ten minutes... Awesome..... When she did realize it was empty she said she'd bring another out but that took another five minutes while she cleaned a table and brought another order out. There were other employees, my guess busboys, who were just walking around not helping the Two waitresses clean anything. It wasn't very busy but having worked in a restaurant i know how hectic it can be to have tables close to closing and having to clean up as well. So i didn't really mind too much. Our bill came and it was a little over $50. Not too bad, but still a bit pricey considering what we ordered. I might be back with other people but not as a first choice for a date night.

I absolutely hate coming to Chili's. Every time I go there I always get food poisoning and spend the next 24 hours throwing up. The food is sub par and I've even had a meal come out that was pretty cold. The only thing I like from there is their Queso chips. The staff is very nice and attentive but, I just can't stand their food.

  • Joy S.

As far as Chili's go, I think it's pretty standard. We've had pretty good service when we eat in. Generally, we order to go, but learned not to order online. The one time we ordered online, we were told the food would be ready for pick up in approx 15minutes. We arrived in about 20 minutes, no one was at the counter (which is normal, we've found, at the pick up station), and when someone arrived and looked for our food, discovered the online order was never cooked. So we waited. And waited. No discount was given, but I think they gave us some free extra chips for our queso. The queso is definitely the redeeming quality of any Chili's. It's like a non-spicy chili cheese dip with chips. If we have leftovers, I even like to dip cold fries in it the next day. Generally, I'm also a fan of their Texas Cheese Fries - unless overcooked (as they were during our last visit). Steak fries, melted cheddar, bacon, jalapeno slices, and ranch. Good stuff. Good boneless buffalo wings, as well. In short: Dine in's generally ok. To Go can be spotty. Don't order To Go online. Also, the To Go area is NOT wheelchair accessible. There is a large post blocking what would be a wheelchair entrance, but alas, steps and wheelchairs don't mix.

Whats sad about this review is that about 3 years ago I was a huge Chili's fan. This review can be directed to the entire Chili's chain because of them cutting down their portions and raising their prices! Especially with the Chicken Crispers and other popular dishes. By the time you tip, you are spending $15 on your meal and taking no left overs home. This specific location was bad because the heat was on so high that I felt like I was in a sauna. I asked the waiter to turn it down 2 times and then the manager once. It was really annoying and uncomfortable. The food wasn't even good because it came out cold. Maybe they thought the temperature in the room would cook the food. You would think they would want to give value to their customers and not rip you off especially in these economic times.

I knew this was a fast casual restaurant, but it's been degrading with each year that passes... and I don't mean this location alone, the whole franchise is. The last straw was when my significant other ordered a fish dish and it came late, and semi-frozen... I can understand that Friday and Saturday nights are crazy busy, but semi-frozen food? Please. Also, it's just a huge old ribfest, or they try to be. I'd rather go to a real BBQ restaurant for ribs than to a Chili's. Service is also mediocre because, to be fair to the staff that's above the age of 20... they're overworked and just can't split their concentration in that many ways and do a good job at the same time.

We came here on a Sunday night around 8 PM, and whereas the food was acceptable chain restaurant quality, we were surprised by how long the food took to arrive, and how long we waited for the young waiter to bring us our check, bring back the card, etc. He didn't seem that busy, but other than a couple perfunctory checks on our well being, he was absent from our space. And what is it with the young college age people who wait at these lousy chain restaurants in the north and western suburbs? His attitude was polite but icy, like he was doing us a favor by being our waiter. I have gotten this before at other chain restaurants in the more upscale suburbs. I am guessing these are young people in one of their first jobs, resentful that they finally have to work for a living. Guess what, kiddo, attitude doesn't earn you a tip. P.S. And like the other reviewers, we came here because it was the only restaurant open. You would think the western burbs would have more variety for dining. It can turn into a ghost town quickly.

Why review chili's? To point out the terrible service at this particular chili's. I like chili's, I am a simple man. I recently ate at this location with my wife and daughter, and the waitress acted like we were bothering her. We had two burgers and drinks, and it took forever. Shame on you Chili's! FOR SHAME!!!

The very, very best thing about this Chili's is that its open until 11 pm on weeknights. Everything else on Rt 59, including the IHOP, closes at 10. Which is bad when you are starving, and just spent 2 hours locked out of your apartment. And, sadly, I must admit I sort of like Chili's. I can get happily tipsy on one of their 3 dollar margaritas. The food is, well, not so hot, but heck, I can get tipsy on one of their 3 dollar margaritas! What does it matter that my cheeseburger somehow ended up medium, and yet oddly tough? I'm drunk! I'm flirting with my SO by arguing about the 2000 election (Yes, it was Soooo sexy.). Oh, and the night waitress on Wednesdays is super duper nice and sweet, and will listen to you babble endlessly about how IHOP is supposed to be open 24 hours and it isn't.
