after being a LOYAL customer (ordering once a week/every other week for more than two years) I am done with this location. It's too bad becuase I just recently moved closer to this particular location. In the past, my husband and I have ordered the exact same pizza each time from this location. Two weeks ago, our pizza came to us raw. In speaking with the manager, she blamed the dough. What she didn't know is when I picked up my pizza in the store, I overheard a waitress telling the same manager that her customer's pizza was also raw. I overheard the manager BLAME THE CUSTOMER for ordering too many ingredients! The next week we ordered again. When we arrived to pick it up, the pizza had never even been made! The same manager blamed their "new ticket printing machine". So she offered to make the pizza and have it delivered. An HOUR LATER we were still waiting. The same manager blamed the driver for not being able to contact us by phone (he never called) because he couldn't find our house. Mind you, we live across the street and we can actually see the store from our house. So here we are again today (third time is a charm? not so much). Today we order the same pizza we have ordered for the last two years and when I got it home, they took the liberty of adding onions. An ingredient we have never ordered. I called the store and spoke with the same manager, and she blamed US! She argued with me and my husband stating that she specifically read the order back to my husband and he agreed to it. Then during the argument she kept interrupting my husband and finally said "we will make a new pizza and deliver it" and SHE HUNG UP ON HIM!! This is absolutely the LAST TIME we will be ordering from this location. The service has gone down hill in a matter of weeks and this "manager" is by far the worst I have ever experienced as far back as I can remember. She spends more time blaming the dough, the drivers and the customers rather than trying to make things right. As a part time Mystery Shopper, she's lucky this wasn't an official shop I was performing. She failed miserably as a manager. I would love to let Giordano's corporate know who they have representing them yet their website does not allow anyone to email or contact them directly. 12/5/2012~~ I wanted to add to this review the response I received from Amy C. with Giordanos. Her response leaves me with the impression that they just don't give a damn. They don't compare a "past experience with a current experience"??? SERIOUSLY? Read Amy's response below: Rosann: So sorry to hear about your experience. We certainly want to make sure every guests experience is favorable. We unfortunately do not compare a guests past orders with an order they are currently placing but that is certainly something to look into. If you would like to give the store another try, there is an in house credit for $25 there for you. Thank you Amy Centeno

Food was great however I am only giving 2 stars because service was horrible. We first got our drinks, then we ordered. We ordered 2 pizzas one deep dish, one thin and we each ordered a side salad. There was five of us, they never came back once they gave us our salads, they were good however very skimpy on salad dressing, only a little container half full, my mom couldnt eat her salad no dressing, the waitress never came back until the pizza was ready 40 min later, i asked for dressing they gave another half full.. Otherwise pizza was good but service was horrible.......

Wow. Now I'm from Philly and no authority on Chicago style pizza but this is fantastic pizza! Argue all you want about this is pizza and that is not pizza... Call it whatever you want. You will call it tasty. Had the classic today with the family on the way home from a trip to Berry, IL. The place is clean. The place was practically vacant. Service was awesome and attentive. I also had their Italian beef. I was not impressed but maybe I'm just not impressed with Italian beef. I've never had it before but heard all about the competitors beef. Stick with the pizza! In the hotel room now and eating the leftovers. It may be even better after you get it home!

On a recent evening on a Monday night my boyfriend and I went to this Giordano's location in Minooka at around 8:15pm to meet up with the rest of my family. I called earlier that night to see what time they were open until and the young lady told me "we take our last order at 9". When looking online I found they were open until 10, therefore we drove 45 mins from our home to meet with my family. As stated before we arrived at around 8:15pm and as soon as we walked in felt very uncomfortable. I'm not sure if it was the owner or the manager but we could tell the man was hesitant to even greet us and didn't even respond when we asked how his night was going. Turns out they close at 9, and when I told them that there would be 5 of us he said "sorry the kitchen already started cleaning to close". I've served at multiple restaurants in my day and regardless of if a person walked in 45 mins from close or 5 mins to close we never turned them down, even if it was a painfully slow day! Needless to say they pushed us out the door and we had dinner else where. Very bad for Bussiness!

Ughhh. Where to begin. We had dinner here tonight. Decided not to do pizza this time & all got an entree. Hubby had the beef sandwich~ tiniest little bitty thing ever! Where's the beef?! Kids had buttered noodles~ way too much butter. I had the chicken parm pasta. Such a little tiny plate of food. The sauce was boring & bland. The chicken patty was a cheap frozen thing with a giant hunk of cheese melted in top. It was just bad. I had two bites & pushed it aside. The little piece of bread that came with the meal could have been good, but it was stale. And to top off the yuck meal, the waitress was blah too. She never even asked why I didn't eat more than half of my over priced meal! And the three employees who decided to eat their diner at the booth behind us~ really!? They kept getting up & shaking the booth seat that we shared. My eight year old sat still better than them! They talked loudly. It was just flat out annoying. So, yeah we are done with Giordano's. Just not worth the price, bad service & meh food.

    * The starter salad wasn't the best I think I will order a soup next time. The Italian Dressing was to sour and the French dressing only made it worse -.- * The Servers are friendly and I felt great telling them how I felt eating my meal * The wait time for your food is kinda long at least 10 minutes for a 6-inch deep dish pizza!! For this wait time it better be good!! But they have entertainment to keep the wait time as comfortable as possible such as tv, music, and of course the lovely paintings on the wall * The Iced tea tasted terrible not even 4 bags of sugar would get rid of the taste!! * The table was very clean when I was seated I am so impressed with that :D * The overall temperature in the restaurant was kinda chilly I wish I had brought a sweatshirt and even for summer it kinda feels like the first 2 weeks of fall in here * The Floor patter was awesome way to match the walls!! :D * No Free wifi are you kidding me!! DX * The Pizza was awesome very filling and full of delicious flavor!! Bravo!! :D * another downside in the front on the left wall has a big dent in it it's right on top of the fireball picture and below the emergency light!! * The outdoor seating looks very nice it has a wooden ceiling in the awning if it wasn't so muggy outside today I would have sat outside!! :D My visit today was OK!! There are a couple of things this place can improve on such as the salad, the iced tea, and especially the temperature but other than the flaws I really enjoyed my visit and I would come back!! My rating is 3 stars!!

THIS IS BASED SOLELY ON TONIGHTS VISIT. BUT BUYER BEWARE. So, Giordano's in Minooka is a regular stop, granted haven't ordered dessert in a while, but still, drop a decent dime there. Ordered take out tonight, big pizza, salad, desert. (Spelled it both ways, one of them has to be right). Got home, pizza smells delicious, as always. Chicken ceaser salad is huge, nice, but, wow.. And then I get to dessert, 2 pieces of tira mi' su. I can't even believe they put em in two boxes. $9.90 for two squares of cake, that I could fit both of in my mouth at the same time, and still have room for pizza. I'm not exaggerating, even a bit, one piece is literally smaller than 2"x2" both pieces are the same size. Called to complain, (takes a lot to get that) and was apologized to instantly by the girl who answered, and given a well versed excuse. ( new menu, someone should have mentioned it when you ordered). Then got a manager who couldn't have cared less, said he'd put a $10 on credit for me on my account, and tried to hang up, before he got my name. Shame on you Giordanos, for an Italian joint that likes to send you home full, you really fumbled dessert.

I've been to this location plenty of times and had fantastic service but this time it was less than good. I specifically called the resturant to see what time the kitchen closed, because being a server myself I understand how it works when the resturant is about to close. Whomever I spoke to on the phone said that they take their last order at 10:30, so my friend and I walked in around 9:50. When I walked in it looked like they were getting ready to close so I asked if their dining room was closed. Who I believe to be the manager said they weren't closing and we can sit over in the booth. Our server was very nice there was no issue whatsoever with that. We order pretty quickly and after about a half hour we still hadn't gotten our food and they were closing in 15 minutes. After the food came out I was trying to help them out and tell them to box it to go but they insisted we ate their and not to rush. Even though they said that I felt the managers eyes on us and we felt extremely uncomfortable. So we got the check and asked for it to be boxed to go. When we were leaving I saw the manager closing the revolving door so I told her politely to have a good night she looks up at me and doesn't say a word. At that point the whole dinner was ruined. If they didn't want to serve anymore tables I would have gladly went somewhere else no problem. Even though this location is right across the street from my apartment complex I don't think I'll return.

A taste of home if you're from Chicago. This place is great. They have great pizza, but if yo under had it the deep dish pizza here is better than most. They have a good front counter and a good staff. They are quick and prompt and friendly.

My wife had been to Giordano's in the past, so we decided to stop by here to get our deep-dish Chicago-style pizza fix as we passed through the area south of the big city. There's really not much to say except that our pizza was delicious! We ordered a deep-dish pepperoni and bacon and were very pleased with the results. Gooey cheese and generous toppings and a great crust. Yum, yum, yum!!! As one might expect, it takes a while for a deep-dish pizza to cook, so be prepared to wait for your meal. Doing that with an infant can be a bit trying, but our server was very accommodating for our young daughter and helped keep her entertained during the wait. If we're passing south of Chicago again, we'll be stopping by Giordano's again.

We came in to pick up several pies to feed the masses. When we arrived, we received a call advising that we were going to be a pie short. The manager and staff went above and beyond to get us the missing pizza within a few minutes. They were extremely accommodating and genuinely worked to correct our error!! I've loved this place for years due to the high quality of pizza, the service just brings it all together. Thanks to everyone at the Minooka location for giving us such a rewarding experience.

We've been here several times and always had so-so service. One time we went, they forgot the appetizers that we ordered. Another time we sat for over an hour with ONLY our appetizer because the waiter forgot to put in our pizza order! He didn't even have the courage to tell us himself and sent someone else over to tell us. We had our child's 1st birthday party in their banquet room. The room is very large and clean. The manager made sure everything went smoothly and the waitstaff were very friendly. My only complaint was that they didn't want to let us take home the leftover pizza that we paid for! Very odd...

I have been spending a lot of time in Omaha, and really had a jones for Giordano's stuffed pizza, so we made the 20 minute drive. If you are going to drive in, call ahead. They can start your pizza before you get there, and that way, you can compress your waiting time. We ordered their special (sausage, onions, green peppers) with pepperoni added on, and it was pretty good. The crust was good, the toppings were plentiful - just plain good. We ordered a Cannoli at the end which was also good. The drinks stayed full for the most part. What was puzzling was the absence of customers - it wasn't very busy for a Sunday night.

Exceptionally good pizza, great lunch specials, friendly service, clean as a place can get. Best pizza for many many miles.

Ordered delivery from Giordano's tonight and it took over an hour (and I did NOT order the stuffed pizza which usually takes an hour because of the required baking time). And when my starter platter arrived it was covered in grease and the box was dripping. When I opened it all the sauce containers were spilled on top of the food making it soggy and inedible. The beef sandwich also had the sauce containers and hot peppers spilled all over it. I had even requested for hot peppers not to be included because I am allergic and they were not only in the box but spilled all over the sandwich and leaking onto the other boxes as well. So best advice only order pizza from this location and be prepared to wait at least an hour if you get it delivered.

    Best stuffed pizza around

I won't say anything about their stuffed pizza, which I feel everyone knows about it. If you don't know what it is, then just order it without question. Beside that, I've tried their thin crust, which isn't bad at all, but its got nothing on their stuffed variation. Wasn't a fan of their Italian Beef, which looked like its been siting out under a heating lamp for quite a while, and their fried calamari was very chewy and wasn't crispy at all.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
