Giving them two stars is actually generous. The host didn't greet, took us straight to our table. Where unfortunately my husband spilled his water but t seemed like it was such a big effort to wipe off the table. It was almost as if the woman didn't know how to wipe off the table. Our food was mediocre at best and our server didn't come back until we were halfway through our food. Needless to say we won't be back. Also I got the popcorn shrimp and ribs, and the shrimp tasted like frozen shrimp out the box. There was more but I think I made my point.

Decent food, service was a bit slow for a Saturday afternoon. My main issue was that when I took my infant into the men's room to change his diaper, there was no changing table. Fortunately, my wife was with me, otherwise I would have to change him in my car. It's 2014, single fathers...how about any involved father should be shown a bit of respect. If you have a kid's menu, you should have appropriate amenities for children.

Worst service ever and come dressed warm because the thermostat is always set to "Nip Rock". My server was not that bright and everything took forever. Not sure if it is a neighborhood trend but any way you order your steak, just know it is coming out WELL DONE. My lobster tail was so overcooked it curled up into a ball in the shell. wtf? I didn't even know lobster did that. I was not going to ask for a manager, but he must have clearly seen how upset my husband and I were so he made his way over to our table to ask us how everything is. When we told him about our steaks and my lobster he offered to recook it but i said don't bother, and that was it. Worst location needs new well trained management and staff who have actual interest in serving good food and providing excellent service, neither of which can be found at this Ruby Tuesday Location.

I wish I could rate no stars its just how dirty this place is. Came in when it opened and you think okay they should have the restaurant at least half way decent: nope. The hostess sat us the closet table to the door mind you we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. We could not sit down because it looked like someone puked ketchup all over the table! So we had to ask for another seat. which the hostess looked at us dumbfounded until we pointed out the stains! Then we sat down to a waiter who we could barely hear. The last straw was when we got the drinks and there was something smeared all over the outside one of the glasses. That is when we decided to pack it up and go elsewhere.

I enjoyed the salad bar. Had a lot of things to choose from. We went after lunch so it was empty. But they kept the salad bar fresh. We had a really friendly waiter. Family friendly atmosphere. I love a place with a salad bar so I will be back.

I hadn't been to a location in years, but it was right next door to the Cinemark movie theater and we had a bit of time between our movies we were seeing and we were hungry. Overall, good good and alcoholic drinks. The veggie platter with the salad bar option left we really full. The salad bar was full of fresh items, and lots of options. The service was a bit slow, but other than that things went well. Sign up for the emails to get coupons emailed to you if you are regular.

On Saturday night, this restaurant closes at midnight. I went there with my boyfriend at 10:15. The host locked the door, and told us that they were not accepting anyone else. There were many tables that were empty. A lady that worked there was trying to get back in the restaurant; it seemed like she was coming back from her break. She said that she works there, and the restaurant is still open to customers. The host let her inside, and told us we could not come in. He was very rude, and had an attitude. I would not be disappointed if he was not this rude.

My co-workers and I went to lunch today which was fine. None of us has been here for years. And all I could remember I liked here was crab cakes. They have all kinds of summer drinks available. We ordered strawberry lemonade, watermelon lemonade, pomegranate lemonade, and mango ice tea(mine). I loved my unsweetened ice tea with mango on the bottom. Strawberry one was great I heard but not other two. The crab cake dinner was as tasty as I remembered however the size is smaller. One of my co-workers complained about how salty the cheeseburger was. Chicken Florentine was pretty good. Herb crusted Tilapia was very good too as my co-worker finished up the whole plate. The waitresses were very nice. One of them gave us a new coupon since what we had was expired a few days ago.

I'm guessing management made a turn around? Came in Saturday for lunch and service was exceptional. Full explanation of the menu, answered all questions. Only mistake was not knowing that I could not do the salad bar as a side when choosing the rib combos. Easily corrected by saying I could add it for $1.99 and I still get to pick a second side. Food was awesome. Got the fried shrimp as both a kids meal (plain) and appetizer with their spicy sauce. Awesome crispy breading. 6 year old asked if we could come back everyday she liked the shrimp so much. Ribs hot a lot of flavor with the dry rub. Spinach and Artichoke dip had plenty of chip and nice mix of cheese and spinach. We're going back for sure.

I now remember why I hadnt been to this place in five years. To start, we ordered appetizers and our waitress never gave us plates to eat them on. I guess we were supposed to eat like my dog does at home. When I asked for plates, she seemed a bit surprised! Our hot wings tasted like they came straight out of Aldi's and the cheese dip tasted burnt. Then my brother ordered a medium, rare steak. That bad boy was cooked so well done, I had to saw through it to get a piece. I tried to chew it and spit it right back out. My baked mac n cheese, was just regular mac n cheese that had some shredded cheese thrown on top, and was popped in the microwave. My friend had a grilled chicken sandwich that was so gross she wanted to throw it at the wall. I could go on and on, but its just not worth it. Oh, wait. Also had the worst long island in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went here Saturday on the 18th with my dad & it was AMAZING!!! I've had the barbecue chicken flatbread, hands down the best I've had at any restaurant. & I also had the New Orleans seafood which is a baked tilapia with shrimp on top in a parmesan cream sauce. My sides were rice pilaf & steamed broccoli. It was sooooo good. My dad had the full rack of baby back ribs with mashed potatoes & baked mac n cheese. Those ribs were so juicy & tender OMG. The food is delicious here & I'm going back soon. Only thing that was wrong, the waitress didn't bring us silverware when our food arrived. Other than that, a great experience.

Not a good experience. Came in and it took 5 minutes to be seated. The person that sat me didnt say hello or good evening or anything. Just "how many". Then sat in the dining area by the side of the bar. The bartender was my waitress, she was doing both. Didnt write my order down so the medium well steak i ordered came medium rare. Never got a refill on my drink and she brought the check out even before she asked if i wanted dessert. I guess she was in a hurry to get rid of me. Then after i order deseet, it takes 10 minutes to bring my bill. like the store, but the service was really bad this Thursday evening.

I come here sometimes with my family and I don't have any complaints. I've always had a good experience. The servers are always nice and my food is always good. I also love the salad bar.

We came for lunch today and we had a horrible experience. The hostess sat us in the bar area and no one came to greet us for the next 10 minutes. When our waitress finally showed up, it took her another 10 minutes just to bring us water. Our food took forever. We placed a to- go order also and waited 20 minutes for someone to bring it out. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and to wait that long is unacceptable. The food was decent but the service was horrible

My wife and I went to dinner here last night before catching a movie at the nearby Cinemark. Having read some things about slow service, we gave ourselves some extra time. Fortunately, I'm happy to report we did not experience a long wait time or slow service. Our waitress got us our drinks promptly and happily answered my wife's questions about the seafood options. Our meals took a little longer to arrive than what I've experienced at say an Applebee's but they were cooked well and tasted good. My wife had the grilled salmon and I had the top sirloin cooked medium well. Since we had some extra time we ordered the cheesecake but it wasn't anythign to write home about. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would come back.

Very clean, garden bar well-kept. But service was slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Food was brought out one diner at a time, with spaces of time between each entree for each person. My husband had to walk to the bar and request a glass of water for me, when we asked NICELY for one when we came in. I had a pill I had to take, and couldn't eat until I had. Menu tried to be quirky, but in some instances, was downright yucky. Quesadillas should NOT have feta cheese, ever!!!!! Burger and mini were excellent.

Went back here with my Grandmother who was visiting from out of town. She had a gift card, so I figured why not. It was the same as always... The food was good the service sucked. My husband and I both ordered drinks and for some reason even though it wasn't busy, it took them like ten minutes to make a margarita and pour a beer. Then when we finished our drinks, you would figure that they would hop to and offer another one to get our money. Nope, we sat without for the rest of the meal. Thankfully they gave us free water. So they lost out on the money for several drinks, but with their attitude, I doubt they'd even care. I'm giving it 2 stars only on the food. The food alone was very good and the cooks did a good job fixing the meal exactly how we requested it. To finish off the evening, we had to call the manager over just to get our bill. While I love the food here, I won't be coming here again for awhile.

Just when I think they have made one change too many to the menu, they make a change that is actually a good idea! Sunday brunch! While no afternoon tea, this is a great and reasonably priced option. I got a flyer with a BOGO coupon for brunch and convinced the husband that a 4 coursed brunch here would be nice. You start with biscuits (which they will bring more of if you want) and then can either have the salad bar (for $.99 more) or a yogurt parfait. Then you get your choice of one of about a dozen or so entrees (huge) and end with a chocolate chip cookie (hot). I have tried the steak and eggs with the cranapple crepe and the western omelette. Not a fan of the omelette, but the steak and eggs combo was very good. Husband tried the avocado and bacon (sense a trend?) quesadilla and thought it was a little heavy on the cheese, but otherwise good. I have to admit that I was not in favor of changes to the menu here, but fully support this one!

If you can say you could come back to a dining establishment then that should say alot. Everyone always remebers the bad reviews but I'd have to say I remember this place and it's been in Melrose Park years. Bon Appetit...

food was awesome. we felt neglected by our server. didn't offer any refills. ask our server for cocktail sauce. he forgot. i ask the other lady and she put me on hold. the one with glasses and hispanic real petite. never brought it. ask for a second order of mini burgers and i know the mini burgers were under the heat lamp for awhile. asked for are check and took for ever to bring it.

I got sick off the baby back ribs. This place is just nasty. The lobsters are so small it's sad. Service is slow. Watery coke

Dispite all the negative comments I read about this restaurant, I still think its above average. The steaks were fresh and delicious prices are extremly low. I do consider olive garden better but it was nice to switch it up a little bit.

I brought my other half here after eating at a location in Florida with my beloved Grandpa. It'd been years (maybe even a decade?) since I'd dined at a Ruby Tuesday and I was pleasantly surprised in FL. It was either a Friday or Saturday night, can't remember which, at like prime feedin' time and the place was pretty much dead which was kind of odd. Our waiter, his name fails me, was a nice guy. I think initially we were his only table and then about halfway through our meal, another larger family showed up. He kept on bringing us the Red Lobster-esque cheddar garlic biscuit things which are so so good. I ordered the same thing I did in Florida, vegetable sides with the salad bar. The husband ordered some sort of meaty dish. A steak of some kind I think? The salad bar at this one wasn't as clean looking as the one in FL but as I was up there creating my herbivorous masterpiece, a manager began wiping it off/clearing stray food particles away. I enjoy simple salads with few ingredients so he jokingly asked me if that was all I was going to eat. I admit, salad bars do kind of scare me. I never had a problem before but someone planted the idea of germs and other gross things into my head and I have a hard time not thinking about it. Husband liked his steak and I absolutely LOVE the creamy, mashed cauliflower. It is seriously so good. And apparently it's a more "healthy" menu item! "Veggie Trio and Garden Bar" is what I order. I don't remember what we paid for it, but others are liley right when they say it's a bit overpriced. My Grandpa really likes the one in FL. My Grandma passed away in September so he hasn't been eating there as often since he's alone now so it'll always have a sentimental little place in my heart.

The salad, or garden, bar is not as good as I have had at other Ruby Tuesdays. Some of the ingredients looked like they'd been left out for hours...and the place had only been open an hour. The sandwich was good and cooked the way I had asked. But the service was horrible, I mean the worst. Lunch hour? Just no.

My husband and I came here to celebrate a week of being married. This was four weeks ago. My how time flies. So back to our meal. I had the pasta with baby portobello mushrooms and chicken. It was very good, exactly what I had been searching for. My husband had a burger, though here's where the praise ends. $11 for a burger and there was nothing special about it. I mean, my pasta was great, but both meals I think were overpriced. Service wise this restaurant isn't terrible but it isn't great either. We'll just stick with our usual joints from now on, thanks. A place with a different day of the week in it's name.

Oh boy, where to start. This was my first time to a Ruby Tuesday and laugh all you want but their commercials are highly misleading. I was expecting a decent chain restaurant with an expansive salad bar and not a wannabe 90s bennigans filled with dusty tchotchkes. None of their entree selections tickled my fancy so both my husband and I ordered burgers and threw in the additional $1.99 each for their garden bar. It was the most pathetic salad bar ever. Sweet tomatoes does a better job. Aside from your lettuce and mixed cheap veggies, everything was swimming in crap. I wanted a few fresh pieces of fruit but they only had one fruit salad soaked in something that tasted like expired mayo. Potato salad, broccoli salad, and pasta salad with ham and peas, all just drowned in fatty dressings. The only thing I liked on the salad bar were their dark brown croutons. I saw pictures on yelp of complimentary biscuits which we were never offered, but they looked good. I do have to say I liked my burger a lot more than I thought I would. I got the classic ruby burger no cheese and even being cooked well done it had just the right juiciness to it that I would order again. I wouldn't go out of my way mind you. Nothing here was memorable and the prices were obnoxious to boot. Our bill tonight could have bought us a very nice steak dinner back home which is sad. I think it will be quite some time before I find myself returning to a Ruby Tuesday.

We tried to go to Olive Garden. Not because it is some sort of amazing meal but because we were waiting to pick up our package at UPS. So Olive Garden is a 20 minute wait on a Wednesday night with a huge crowd of people in the foyer. Um, yeah... I didn't want to do that. I had been in the mood for something quick and easy. The original plan was sausages in Berwyn but UPS screwed up so we were stuck in Melrose. I guess we were going to be sausageless and go to Ruby Tuesdays. The place is empty. A person here and there but nearly empty. It took us an hour and a half to order, be served, eat, and pay our bill. Seriously? This isn't five star dining. This is Ruby Tuesday's people. We didn't come because we had 2 hours to kill and eat a fancy meal. We came because we wanted to sit down and enjoy each other but not too much. We didn't expect our waitress to go in the back for 20 minutes at a time, likely having sex with the chef, while we waited for her to come and bring our drinks out. The food was fine. He said the grilled zucchini tasted like there was something - likely something disgusting - caked on the grill and so it didn't taste good at all. We won't go back. We are more likely to go to the 24 hour IHOP across the street.

i had a taste for a salad bar & this was the closest place i could think of. i appreciate the field greens and spinach in the salad instead of just plain iceberg lettuce or romaine. i kinda wish they had more food selections in the salad bar but it was still good.

Happily surprised at this place!! Best option is to order an entree and add the veggie bar for 2 bucks. Then you can take home your entree leftovers if filled up from salad. Prices are ok - but again, if you fill up on salad you'll have a meal to take home. Salad plates were kind of dirty, but easy to brush off......salad bar looked appealing and clean - and was delicious! Went through twice ( have to try the rye bread croutons at the end - amaze-balls!!!!) I ordered the spaghetti squash - very good!!! My hubby had fish tacos and enjoyed them. Since the salad bar was one "side", we both ordered broccoli as another side and it was so good!!!! Service was very friendly and timely!!! Will definitely go back here and bring my two teenage boys

I ordered Chicken Fresco with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Chicken was flavorful and cooked well. Potatoes had a nice flavor. Everything was served hot and in a timely manner. Even the steamed broccoli had a lovely flavor. Our server came over to discover my mom was not enjoying her food because she didn't know it was going to be spicy. Our server told the manager and both of them offered many times to get my mom something else. The decor was nice and interesting. Music was loud for lunch time. The reason I gave less stars though was what happened after we ordered. My mom had some confusion about the menu. Our server, Elizabeth, explained it. We thought everything was fine. But my mom over heard our server talking to her coworker while she was selecting what she wanted at the salad bar. My mom was hurt that someone took offence to her confusion and had the nerve to complain about her within ear shot. My goodness, if you are going to talk about a current patron, at least do it in the kitchen where that patron cannot hear you. Despite the good food, and her manner towards us in person, this made the visit strained because we didn't want to make a scene. Word of advice to her; rant about people who annoy you, later.

Food was overpriced for quality served. Food did not come with all that was written on menu., when asked where the fries were server was a big jerk and argued with us but said he would throw in fries fre of charge, when the bill came we were of course charged for fries. He attended to our table one time through out the whole time we were there. We had to get his attention and call him over ourselves. Left him a penny tip. Hope other Ruby Tuesday are not like this one.

so me and my husband have been going to this place since 2007, we;ve never had a bad experience. it sometimes takes a long time to receive our meals but its always good, portion is always a good size. prices are reasonable for a restaurant. not expensive. i love this place because they have a salad bar, and those arent common these days. we never get desert so i dont have any opinion there, but one time i did ask for Sam Adams summer ale and i was brought the regular . which i wasnt a fan of. oh well. i drank it anyway as i dont like sending back stuff, and it wasnt a big deal. that was the only negative.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon with my adult niece and four children 8 and under, 2 in high chairs. To sum it all up, the service was painfully SLOW. It made the experience tedious! When you have small children, the youngest being 2 years old you can't sit very long because their attention span is short. It just took FOREVER for them to bring the kids meals. They promised some COMPLIMENTARY biscuits as appetizers, those took FOREVER and were HORRIBLE. Then the waitress brought the wrong order for the kids. So we spent two hours there where it should have been an hour and 15 minutes at the most. So I had a great burger but with FIVE GUYS across the street I was secretly lusting for their delicious reasonably priced burger. I went here because my niece wanted to go here. It's not my cup of tea.

Love the little biscuits. Has an "ok" salad bar. Food is ok. Over priced for what you get & food is just "ok". Service has no consistency, sometimes its good, sometimes it sucks. Just luck (or bad luck) of the draw.

NEVER AGAIN!! Terrible place! Came here tonight for my moms birthday... It was 6 adults, 3 kids and my infant daughter. They bring us ONE plate of 5 of those little biscuits... Gone in 20 seconds. Took them about 20 min to bring more! My mom wanted a pina colada. Didnt have any.... She asked for broccoli as a side with her steak, didnt have any. We got our food and for the most part only me my stepdad and the kids where happy. The kids had already filled up on the salad bar but where complaining that the food was taking too long. My wife and stepsister ordered the shrimp pasta and both said it was dry and cold. My steak was good but cold and the cheese wasnt even melted all the way. My mom said her ribeye had no flavor and asked for a side of jalapenos... Guess what? They ran out of those too! Alcohol menu sucked as well. Only thing i can say was good was that i got to watch the Bulls game (although a giant light was in my way.) waitress kept the refills coming pretty quick and despit of the crappy food and all.... We still tipped her $25. Oh yea our bill was $160!!!!! As we left there was a couple standing there waiting to be greeted, while the workers say by the bar watching tv. NEVER AGAIN!

This is a update: I visited this location yesterday afternoon and the Server and food was horrible. The food portions was so small and bland, I couldn't believe it. The server took the order, someone else served the food. Cool. But he never came back to check on us, when grabbed him walking by and asked for napkins and bread. With the meal almost over we stopped him again and asked for those long awaited napkins, finally he did bring two and dropped them on the table one landed in the used salad plate, oh well. Then we had to stop him to ask for the bill. Guess what he gave us at this time? The bread. Lol. I was like really, the meal is over. Let me not forget when he sat the water down he was holding the glass around the rim. I'm done with this place.

Ok so me and my coworker were looking into going to Olive Garden (the one that just opened in the same plaza Ruby Tuesdays is in). Well the wait there was over 45 min long, we had a movie to catch and didnt have time to wait. So we just decided to go to Ruby Tuesdays. BAD IDEA!!! where do I start? let me begin with our drinks. So we ordered 2 cokes and they looked a bit light my friend pointed out. I didnt think anything of it and took a sip of it, let me tell you, that coke was SOO disgusting! So we tell the waiter about it and she was nice enough and brought out some new ones, mind you it took her a VERY long time to do so. When she returns with our drinks we were ready to order, we ordered pasta since we already had the craving for Olive Garden. Mind you during the entire time there was only like 2 servers, i guess they were short staffed as one of the waiters mentioned it to the table behind us. The food took FOREVER, FOREVER, FOREVER to get to us! we were becoming very impatient and noticed all the tables around us were as mad at the customer service as we were. So we get the food, And kid you not, the portion was the size of my fist! YES that SMALL!! i couldn't believe it, this pasta was 18.99 and it was the smallest portion of pasta i had ever seen in my LIFE!!! the pasta was GROSSS it was dry, i could make a better one at home. My friend asked for an extra size of sauce, it didnt get to her till AFTER she was done with the Pasta, I asked for a side of fries at the beginning when i ordered my pasta, and i didnt recieve it until AFTER i was done with my Pasta. Needless to say the customer service here is TERRIBLE and very Unprofessional. The food is terrible, gross, disgusting, and as we were walking out, we spoke to a few people who were dinning there and they had the EXACT same thoughts on that place. I will NEVER return there and YOU should never go in there!

I am always reluctant to eat here. The prices are extremely high for the quality the food. The food is less than mediocre, but the prices suggest otherwise. Ruby Tuesdays is a less than average dining experience.

  • Rahshonda K.

I couldn't remember why I have never been a fan of Ruby Tuesday. Well now I know. The salad bar was completely empty and the lettuce looked like it had been sitting all day. The broccoli and cheese soup was nice and creamy..the bread that came along with it was warm on one side and frost bitten on the other. I asked for garlic bread don't you grill both sides before you bring it out???? The service was ok I think it could have been better only went because I was dragged there however I will not go back on my own.

Two & a half stars would better suit Ruby Tuesday's in Melrose, but since we can't give half stars, I decided the goodness of the food that day rounds this rating up. I have a gut feeling that any RT's NOT in Melrose Park would be worthy of more stars. Now, I'm writing this review late, since I just joined Yelp a few minutes ago. My nephew & I ate here back in July on a Sunday afternoon. We were going to see "Dark Knight" at the Cinemark right next door. The time in which we wanted to see the movie ended up being sold out, so we had to wait for the next showing. Thus, we had time to kill. Why not eat? I let my nephew choose between Taco Bell or RT's (both next to the Cinemark). RT's it was. We walked in the place, & their was a bit of a wait. Which was to be expected since we weren't the only ones with time to kill. Gazing around while we waited, the atmosphere was that of a Chili's or TGI Fridays, but sloppier. Can't put my finger on why exactly I got that vibe. The place just could be neater. And maybe a little less plain. Approx. 10 minutes later, we get seated. We started off on a good note, ordering a Jones's orange cream soda. Some of the best pop ever, in my opinion. A little more pricey than your typical fountain drink, but worth it. For an appetizer, we ordered the hot wings. & I must say, they were pretty damn good. They definitely had a nice kick. We had no problem finishing all of them. Not long after, we got the burgers we ordered. Again, pretty damn good. I really have no complaints about the food or the price we paid for it. Our waitress could have been a bit more attentive, as she seemed to vanish when it was time to pay the bill. But given the crowd, it was understandable. All in all, I would go back for another pre or post movie meal.

Well first of all let me thank the manager scott struchen for taking good care of us..the first time we went in we got so-so service and the food wasn't all that great...so we went back tonight for a second try..boy it was like night and day this time, our waitress marlene was the nicest person i ever met.. She kept on coming back asking if we needed anything else..the food came out hot and the drinks refilled promptly..everything was fantstic this time i can't complain..i guess the first time was on a off night or something..i definately will be coming back to ruby tuesdays seeing its close to my house..all though it's a chain restaurant it beats the competition around it.. If your looking for a nice place to hang out at the bar or grab some grub after a show then this is the place to go..i'll be back soon that's a fur sure..

Portions do not parallel the price. Don't get me wrong, this should be the portion we all should eat, but for $12 you get protein bout the size of ur fist, side of broccoli and some mash or rice. Quite frankly, I ate my entire plate and I was still hungry which we proceeded on 2 desserts split among 4. new york cheesecake and parfait. Not very good but relatively cheap for dessert. $3-6.

I WILL EVER GO BACK AGAIN! The waitress was full of crap! It took FOREVER to get a refill on my drink. The have endless fries and when my fries were gone she never replaced them! The food is whatever! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Just the way the seating is arranged is ridiculous. Ruby Tuesday can kiss my tail-fin. LOL!

Again, we were out to try a new place ... and yes, it's a chain, but we thought it would be nice to try because it was close to out next destination. Were we impressed?? Well lets start at the beginning. 1) Late evening, snowing, and hungry. We stood at the door for 3-4 minutes wondering if we were to seat ourselves or if the hostess would actually take her post at the front door, greet us, then take us to our table. 2) When she does arrive, the phone rings and she answers it, has a little conversation, apologizes then takes us to our table. 3) Cleanliness of dishes apparently optional. My husbands cutlery still had food particles stuck on it .... YUCK! 4) Took awhile for our waitress to take our order, and once she did, it seemed as though she was scatter-brained. How hard is it to order a hamburger with nothing on it and the "special sauce" on the side?!? Apparently ... quite difficult. Special sauce turns out to be a tangy honey mustard type sauce. If you're not into mustard, definitely ask not to have it. 5)The food was quite good, yet I wouldn't recommend their Chicken Pot Pie. The meat and vegetables were placed on top, what seemed to be a Pilsbury Flake crusty thing... not delicious or even fun to pull apart. 6) While eating our meal, we had the pleasure of viewing their salad bar. It was interesting to watch one particular guest as they looked cautiously at every plate before choosing his.... he went through 6 before finding one that was clean!! Which poses the question ... do you really want to eat from the salad bar?? 7) By now we are done our meal and the waitress has JUST stopped by to ask how our meal was. Note: holding a load full of other guests dirty dishes... hands not even able to pick up our dishes! 8) When she claims she'll return to pick up our dishes, she goes to someone else's table and continues to have a conversation over there first. 9) After picking up our dishes and returning with our check, we had our credit card ready and gave it to her... Seemed as though she thought this was rude. I mean honestly ... we did have 10 minutes to get it ready for her! 10) On the plus side, their fries were really Good!! So, was it just a bad night to dine? Did we just go on an Off Night?? We don't really know ... but perhaps we'll try dining there again ... but we'll keep in mind, service is less than desirable, food is pretty good, and then pray we'll get clean silverware and dinner plates!!

The worst meal I've ever had. It took us 5 minutes for a waitress to even acknowledge us. I was very skeptical about going here to begin with but my husband wanted to try it. I looked at the menu online and thought maybe it wouldn't be too bad since they offer a salad bar (I was trying to think healthy). Really, truly horrible food. We saw 3 tables send their orders back. My advice would be to save your precious calories and eat at the Taco Bell across the street. Seems like a 5 star restaurant comparatively.

I have two words - FOOD POISONING. I will never go back to a Ruby Tuesdays ever again. I don't normally frequent chain restaurants because I have such a variety of local restaurants in Chicago to choose from that are cheaper and have better eats than chain restaurants and under normal circumstances, I wouldn't even bother to write any kind of review but I am making the exception for this. I was at an all day work conference in the area and at the lunchbreak some of us went to this place for a fast bite since we only had an hour. Talk about big mistake. From the get go the service was sub par and unbelievably slow and unorganized. As a former server I am pretty understanding if someone is new or they are short staffed, etc because there is a lot that is out of the server's control but I also expect to be told that so I don't think that it's just that the server is horribly inattentive. Our server seemed like a nice person but just not very attentive and it wasn't like the place was packed. We had to ask for water after sitting at the table for a while and then when he brought the glasses out he didn't bring one for the whole group (4 of us) We placed our orders - nothing crazy, couple of sandwiches and two pasta dishes. We expected to be in and out pretty quickly and that turned out not to be the case. One sandwich was brough out first, it went to the wrong table, in the process of transferring it over to ours the runner dropped the bun top. He left the plate at our table instead of taking the whole thing back to the kitchen to keep warm. Then we waited for the bun top and the rest of our dishes while the burger got cold. The second sandwich and a pasta dish came out about 10 minutes later. Then we again waited for the last pasta dish. In the meantime, we started eating. We should have left when the person who ordered the burger got a big mouthful of plastic strips of some sort that were cooked into the middle of the burger. We asked for a manager who was appropriately mortified and then all of a sudden the attentiveness shot up. We went from being ignored to having the general manager and server checking up on us every two minutes. We should have left but there was no time to go anywhere else so we stayed. I ordered a chicken sandwich that for the price was not good and ended up giving me food poisoning. I was up most of the night hugging the toilet. The other three people were fine but then again they ended up not eating any meat there because the girl who ordered the hamburger replaced it with pasta instead. I am contacting the restaurant today when it opens so I may have an update on their response to me later but I will never go back. Poor service, poor food, high prices and food poisoning make this a place to definitely avoidat all costs.

Food tastes good, like the side dish options, but slow service...
