I love this place. The sauces taste really fresh. So far I've tried the eggplant parmigiana (very good, taste like homemade fried eggplant and sauce), the pasta carbonara is also very good ( the sauce taste made from scratch, I want to try adding garlic to it, as its on the bland side for me), and the Italian beef sub with extra cheese (I want to add more peppers and you should ask for "au jus," the beef juice to dip it in.) Two people, for dinner, can be about $30 or more.

This is the ONLY place we wanted to celebrate a special occasion with family. I could go on and on about the food... well okay... briefly, I try something new every time I go and have loved every single thing. Never got to dessert because the appetizers are sensational. Service is always attentive but not upsell pushy. I have so much gratitude for the way they treated our group, and always welcome us so graciously that I will always recommend it as our favorite place. On the earth.

I love Vitale's! It's one of the nicer restaurants in town and so good! My personal favorite is their fried ravioli! We've dined in, taken out, and gotten deliver. The food is amazing and the service is nice. They also have gluten free pizza for those with allergies. The only negative thing I must add is it is a little pricey and on some nights packed full! But I guess that means business is good!!!

Excellent food and service....Frank and Julie and "MOM" run the place right!!! Julies husband also is a great chef....Love the pasta, pizza is good, don't understand why they would get a 1 star....Try for yourself.

Some girlfriends and I stumbled upon Vitale's one night while we were out looking for something different. We were looking for some GOOD comfort food, instead of having to make our own. SUCCESS- Vitale's actually has a great menu, good prices, and very good food. If you've ever been to Macomb, you'd know that the variety of restaurants is very slim... Vitale's is definitely worth checking out.. Lots of pasta, pizza, and appetizer selections too. Service- it's been so long since I've been to Macomb, but I don't remember anything negative about the service.

If I could rate this a zero I would. The service was horrible at best. My waitress only came to my table to deliver food. I had to ask multiple times to get my drink refilled. I went to seek a manager about the poor service and when i described my problem to her, instead of taking care of the problem she told me, "then don't tip your waitress, thats how that works." I may be a college student but I have been in the food service industry for years and that was an extremely rude way to treat a customer and that she should have done something to resolve the issue. Its the only non-fast food italian place in town but the food is mediocre at best and a huge disappointment. The other "italian" places in town have much better food. Needless to say I will never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone, in fact I will urge them to avoid it.

I was in Macomb for work and saw this place looked pretty good. The service was great and the food was very good as well. They have a small salad bar but the choice of pastas and pizza is where you should spend your time. I ordered pasta from the "Specialties" section- the Arrabbiatta. You could tell the sauce was freshly made. There isn't a ton of unique food in Macomb, from what I could find, so I'd definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for pizza or pasta.

Vitale's is a great (and probably the only) place to get authentic italian food, in macomb. They serve huge portions of great pastas and sauces - generally I have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The pastas are a little expensive, however, for the quality and quantity, it is worth every penny. They have a nice wine selection and rotate their beer selection pretty frequently. The pizza at Vitale's is great! Personally I love their sliced meatballs on my pizza. They have a weekday special on pizzas - I believe it's a large for 10.99 - best deal in town.
