Excellent pizza and service! I held a surprise party for my husband here and everyone raved about it!! One of my favorite pizza joints! You have to try the dough balls! Fried pieces of yumminess!

I love this place! The brunch is delish, great variety and choices. Love the fried chicken in the brunch. I don't know why it's not on the regular menu. The pizza is one of the best around! I go there to watch a game, eat some great bar food, and have beer. I only get bottle as the beer is not cold enough on tap. I was told it was because the kegs were far in another room and the beer has to travel. The manager on duty has acknowledge me only once even though I have been there dozens and dozens of times. She caters to the men with comps, but I get not even a hi! Melanie and Jay rock as bartenders! Try the wings, yum!

My husband and I stopped in for some lunch before my eye surgery close by. It was an off time but the service was still very quick. We got the 4 appetizers for &16 and that made a very nice lunch. The potato skins were real potatoes, the garlic bread was good, the calamari was surprisingly tasty, and the fried pickles came in long slices instead of pickle chips. We were in and out in one hour. If I lived in the area I would come back!

I usually enjoy taking my boys here, but tonight the service was awful. Got there at 5:50 ordered an appetizer and 3 sodas right away. Appetizer came 40 minutes later an the sodas at just under the hour mark. I would have flagged the waitress down to prod it along but she was no where to be found. Still waiting on a cheese burger and small pizza an hour after getting here. Was told they were short staffed, then told a couple of parties showed up without calling. Very disappointing.

Great beer, great wings, great bartender, great atmosphere. This is where you go to watch the big game!

It is a fun place with excellent service no matter how busy it gets. For example I asked the server for hot sauce . She hands me a bottle that was just about empty. I give it a couple of shakes and it is empty. As I set it down the empty bottle I look up and the manager is rushing over with a new full bottle of Tabasco. Note at this time during the Blackhawks game it is a very busy place. Where else do you get that level of service in a busy place? No place I haver ever been. Besides that the food is good and reasonably priced. Plus during a Hawks game they broadcast the play by play over their speaker system.

Nice little place, good food options and very good service. TV coverage is everywhere, but the bar has the best coverage, with 9 TVs which are flawless for NFL Sundays. *(Get there by 11:30). *i'll be there at the open.

Decided to give round heads a try last saturday night. Was pretty late so got there around 8:00. Was surprised how crowded it was so much so that we had to wait for a table. I have no problems waiting for a table but this place is seat yourself. Let me start by saying this is just asking for problems. How hard is it to have someone greet people at the door and seat them. A waitress saw we were waiting so she walked by and told us they were cleaning off a table and it would be ready soon. While they were still cleaning off the table another group came in and took it. Now I expect the staff to say those people were just waiting for us to clean off the table then they were next. After a few more minutes waiting another table opened up and we were seated. The one shinning star I will say about roundheads is the servers are very friendly. Our waitress was very nice and let us know it would take a hour for our pan pizza. So we ordered the cheese curds for a starter. The cheese curds were ok, about what you get at culivers nothing special but at least tasty. Then the pizza came. I have never seen a pizza giggle when it was set on the table. Then there was a pond of grease on top. I mean enough to change the oil with in your car. When my sister took the first slice of pizza the rest of the cheese from the slice fell right off back into the pan. What a mess. After we each took a slice there was half a pan of nasty oily goop left. It was really gross. My boyfriend ordered one of their sandwiches and the bun was cold like it came straight from the fridge. My only guess is people come here to drink because I didn't find one thing positive to say about the food. I feel bad for the servers because they were great. The only reason I gave roundheads 2 stars was the service. If you want to watch a game and have a drink this place seems fine they have lots of TV's and friendly servers. If you plan to eat best to go elsewhere.

Roundhead's is a Sports bar style pizza joint located off of Roosevelt Road in Lombard. There is a large bar and lots of TVs set up with ESPN on, there's even a few coin-operated arcade machines inside. They have the usual menu you might expect of most pizzerias in the area, but what makes Roundhead exceptional is the quality, at least for their stuffed pizza. Most Chicagoland pizzerias serving stuffed Pizza's follow the Giordanos method of making a stuffed pizza, which appears to be as follows. Step 1, get a wheel of cheese, step two, bake some dough around it. Step three smash a tomato on it then throw on some salt. Step four bake. What makes Roundheads pizza such exceptionally high quality is the fact that the dough is well made, the cheese isn't as excessive as most stuffed pizza's and perhaps most importantly the quality of the sauce. The roundhead sauce is very tasty and is thick, it isn't watered down by cheese grease and flavors the rest of the pizza very nicely. Overall I don't know a better place to get a stuffed pizza than roundheads, and that's saying a lot considering the number of places I've tried over the years. The only thing to keep in mind is that roundheads does have a long wait to have your stuffed pizza ready, and the menu warns you ahead of time. Expect to wait an hour or more for your pizza to be ready, but when it is, it's well worth it.

This place had good reviews on yelp so I picked it as a meeting spot one night. The second we pulled up I knew I made the wrong choice. We walked in and a sign said to seat yourself. We couldn't find a table that was completely clean, so I settled on the least sticky one. The place was near empty. We sat there waiting on menus and I noticed that the entire place needed a good cleaning. I felt gross. We ordered the 3 mini sliders with fries and 12 wings. The wings were actually pretty good. The sliders had no taste at all. It was so bizarre. Even the onions on them had no taste. The fries were horrible. We ended up paying quickly and having our friends meet us elsewhere. I couldn't stay there for one more minute. Our waitress was friendly. Her and the wings were the reason for more than one star.

This place has really gone downhill. Ordered a stuffed pizza, and it arrived an hour later (as expected since it says 45-60 minutes) but was room temperature and the sauce was more funny than prego. Too bad, this used to be a great place.

1-26-13 Great location and a great building. Staff was clueless and immature young girls. Food: Pizza under cooked frozen dough, sub par cheese, frozen toppings no flavor. Received the wrong chicken sandwich ate it .......no flavor bland Had to beg for drink refills, asked several times........ In the end the head waitress ended up taking over $20 off the bill and we had a group of 12 people I ended up paying $30 and tip. The point is I wanted good food and service........get it together we need good places in Lombard

This is the type of place you need to see on the show, Bar Rescue. My boyfriend and I used to come here often a couple years ago so we thought we'd give it another shot. We went there on a Saturday night around 10pm and the place was dead. When we ordered my boyfriend asked if she could turn on a game on one of the TVs and she said she would. We ordered a beer each. One of the beers was flat, while the other was warm. My boyfriend told the bartender and it took her about 10 minutes to get us a can and a bottle of beer. All the while, the server did not change the channel at all. In fact, she had a bit of an attitude like she didn't want to bother with anybody. We were going to order food but decided that we were just going to drink those beers and leave, which we did. I gave this place two stars because we used to enjoy it in the past and this totally turned us off.

Buffet is a normal, pizza bar buffet. Only cheese, pepperoni and sausage pizza (and not that much of either). Kind of like cardboard. The best thing of the buffet was the taco bar, and that was just average. Fried Chicken was greasy. Salad wasn't impressive. I don't think I'll ever go back.

OK. It had been a while since I ate here. So I made a voyage on a day where I was in no hurry. I also went during a "non-peak" time (mid afternoon). I went during a time when I knew there would be football As usual, the place was clean and some improvements from my prior visit (specifically on service). For starters, I was offered daily food specials/appetizer specials (which was not offered on my last visit). I had a nice table so I could spread some of the stuff I was doing. My server was also very attentive. So let's go to the food. I figured since there was a $3 special on certain items, I would go ahead and order a couple of things from there. I was pretty impressed with the portions. I ordered some chicken wings and they were just that, big wings and drums (VS the drumets & wingets other places serve). I ordered the hottest wings on the menu and I'll say it. It wasn't nearly as hot as I thought they would be. Now a disclaimer- my tolerance for spice is MUCH higher than most people. They were still very good. The "1/2 order of nachos" is what some places would consider a full order of nachos. This was a nice surprise. I wish they had some salsa or pico de gallo of some sort. I recall their burgers were solid as well. Simply put. A place that I don't pass often but if I'm in the neighborhood, I would stop in. Decent value for your dollar. 11AM-2:PM Monday-Friday is an all you can eat buffet. Fortunately, they serve Dr Pepper. No other P-word for me.

You know when you breakup with someone and they promise to change and you truly believe things might be different the second time around, so you give them another chance? Well, it's kinda like that. It's been a year and a half since my first visit to Roundhead's and it will most likely be my last. Well, that's not entirely true. I still have some gift certificates. I'll probably come back at least once more to use them up. So this was my second to last visit. When I came here originally our party had a less than stellar experience and Yelped it. The manager, upon reading our reviews, contacted each of us individually and offered us four $10 gift certificates, apologized for what had happened and encouraged us to return. That was great business practice on their part, so I would like to extend my gratitude toward him for taking the time to try and make things right. With that being said, the food just isn't enough to make me want to return without coupons or freebies. I came for the lunch buffet and the items were hit or miss. I enjoyed the fried chicken (it's kinda hard to mess up fried chicken), the sausage and peppers, and the mini brownie bites. That was really it. The lemon chicken had a strange consistency (I almost spit out the first bite), the battered fish had a frozen aftertaste, the potatoes and gravy were ok, and the beer cheddar soup was gourpy with a very Velveeta taste and consistency. For $8 it's not a badly priced mini buffet, but I tried a slice of the Chicago style pizza again and found the same results as previously - the sauce is sweeter than I like, the cheese is rubbery and the crust is very chewy without much flavor. I'm sorry Roundhead's, I have nothing against you; I just think we should see other people.

Stopped in on a Thursday night with some amigos. Hockey was on so there were quite a few people. We ordered beers and for food we got the Texas cheese fries, some wings and nachos that we tweaked a bit. All we said was we wanted the nachos but instead of the chicken we wanted the pulled pork. I mean is that too much to ask? Well I guess it was because the whole order got f'd up. Luckily the manager came over, apologized and took some money off the bill. Not that it mattered because we would have paid regardless but the waitress needed better communication. Anyways, still average.

Stopped by and finally tried their lunch buffet. The food was not bad. The pasta was a little dry but most everything else was pretty good. We felt we got our money worth. I was surprised that is was much bigger inside than the Downers Grove restaurant.

Really enjoy this place really good food service From the bar on the other hand not so great. Took way too long to get a drink. Place was not very busy I would hate watch a sports game there. The pizza came right away and was great The place was clean Only look like they had one server for the whole restaurant. What I go there again probably. to drink probably not.

Great food, BAD service. Wondering if we had the same server as Chrissy W (see review below)?? We arrived at 5:30pm on a Monday (4 adults, 1 child) and were finally served pizza at 6:30pm. I asked the server if this was pretty typical here and she said that a thin crust pizza takes 30 minutes to make because its made from scratch. Okay, that sounds fine...but, it would have been great if she would have greeted our table and explained this from the beginning with the option of putting our appetizer and pizza order in at the same time. Appetizers also took 25 minutes (1order of potato skins, 1 order of dough balls). Restaurant was not busy! Probably half of the tables were occupied. REALLY LONG WAIT TIMES FOR FOOD! Good luck getting a refill on water and soda too! Total bummer about the bad service here because the food is really good and the price is right. Specials everyday and on Monday they had $3 appetizers! Pizza was excellent...doughy, not too greasy, good selection of toppings. My boyfriend wanted chicken and onion on his half of the pizza, but unfortunately they couldn't do chicken even though they have quite a bit of other chicken meals on their menu. I had pineapple on my half...YUM! Great pizza! Dough balls with the garlic dipping sauce...fantastic!

I've been to roundheads a few times, to watch various sporting events, most notably, the superbowl last year. The bloody mary's were delicious. Just the right amount of spice. I sucked a few of those down in no-time. The place filled up, but I mean it was the superbowl... the food was alright, typical bar food, we didn't opt for the $50 all you can eat buffet, and didn't order pizza. The service was meh, if I remember correctly, we were there in the middle of a shift change, and our first server was OVERLY friendly, while our second ignored us all together. So, kinda a typical bar experience. Nothing abhorring, nothing to write home about either.

Roundhead's has a mascot of sorts, their little drawing of a ... round head. With eyes. But no mouth. And a little hair. They draw it everywhere. On checks, on take-out boxes, etc. It's just that kind of place. It's also the kind of place that has TVs everywhere. Any sporting event you could think of, plus Food Network, and CNN just for yucks. Lots. Of. TVs. There was a little confusion with our waitresses, but once we got sorted, she was quite attentive without being annoying. The food... pretty good, I'd say. We started with pot roast waffle fry nachos ... say that five times fast. We opted out of the bleu cheese, and it came with waffle fries, pot roast, oodles of jack and cheddar cheese, pico de gallo and... some sort of peppery seasoning, which was slightly odd. Overall it was very tasty and we devoured it, although the pot roast was not quite as juicy as I'd hoped for. I ordered fish and chips for my entree. What I received was an enormous pile of hand-cut skin-on fries, a lemon wedge, tartar sauce and four ... well, they were sort of fish nuggets. Large chunks of cod, but more round/nuggety shaped, as opposed to the "fingers" you usually think of. They were piping hot and nice and meaty. Overall this is the sort of place that's good for a casual Friday night dinner after a long week, especially if you really like sports.

  • Mike M.

This place sucks now. There are never enough staff on a Friday night. All of the waitresses are in the back eating instead of serving us. People are walking out. This is stupid

Dough balls! For all you NIU alumni, the dough balls are very similar to the ubiqious beer nuggets in DeKalb. The pizza is good, but oddly (and I can't explain why) it looses something when reheated. Very odd, since this is the exact opposite of most places. And why no coke products. Those plastic glasses are bad enough, but when filled with Pepsi, it's undrinkable. However, if you are around for lunch, go there for the buffet lunch. It's an awesome spread.

    (3)
  • Ryan G.

Best pizza around! Crust is thin yet doughy, sauce is perfect and toppings are plentiful. Excellent left over cold too!!! Staff is great and food is awesome! Gets pretty busy on gamedays so get there early!

  • Rachel J.

So, the owner sent me gift certificates to return and give the place another try. I finally made time to go, and I am 100% sure it was my last visit. While the service was much improved, the food was a miss. The minestrone soup was cold and very salty. My dining companion ordered baked mostaccioli and received regular, very boring looking mostaccioli. My burger was just ok, and the fresh cut fries were good. Roundheads is a place to get drinks, watch the game, and order food as an afterthought. With so many other dining options in the area, you can do much better.

Today's experience dropped my rating of Roundheads two stars. A lunch buffet should be well-staffed, because the servers don't have to serve any food. After sitting at a sticky table and being served a beer for the buffet, my friend and I were basically ignored. A partial cause might have been that we were blocked in: a big group of at least 20 came and the people at Roundheads decided to create one very long table for them, making it hard for us in the back of the room to get out. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Can one person on one end of a very long table actually talk to someone on the other end? If you have a group of more than 12, you should make it two tables instead. On a buffet day, people will wish to leave their seats for more food, but that became difficult, especially with no service. It wasn't as if the server looked at us from the other side of the big table, seeing if we needed anything. We did, but she didn't. I had to push an elderly woman's walker out of the way to get to the buffet. Tell me that's up to fire code. (Oh, and sorry, lady.) And what's a buffet without food? When we first arrived, they were out of tuna bites and rounditos. Then they were out of pizza. Then both pasta dishes and the sausage part of "sausage and peppers" were gone. And we waited a long while to see anything fresh appear. When new pizza came, it was one single pizza with mushrooms (which my friend can't eat). Really? One pizza for the lunch buffet crowd? You are a pizza place, right? I would've asked our server what the deal was if the food, had I been given the chance. The buffet was no busier than on other days; the big table was ordering from the menu. So why was today so surprising for them? (There were a lot of husky eaters there, but you expect that at a buffet.) My friend wanted to pay by credit card, but after 10-15 minutes with no one checking on us, we gave up and left cash. We're typically good tippers, even when the service is bad, but this was putrid enough to make a statement with our tip. Will they get that statement? Who knows. I'm willing to give Roundheads another shot; it was only one day, after all. But it was a terrible experience, and if this were my first visit here, it undoubtedly would've been my last visit here.

Huge lunch buffet. Pizza, pasta, chicken, beef tacos, and salad bar. Nice people. You can see any game on tv in every direction you turn. Exiting the parking lot on to Roosevelt Rd. is the biggest challenge.

I love going to Roundheads after work or to brush up on my trivia. It also is a place where everybody knows your name.. and I like that too! The owners are in quite often and the managers are really nice. The servers are always friendly and usually recognize us when we visit. There is usually pretty decent drinks specials going on and they have some pretty good beers on tap. If you're hungry, EAT.. it's not normal 'bar food' it's really yummy. I love me some fresh cut fries.. The pizza is super duper delicious and pretty much everything I have had was satisfying. There's tons of TVs so if you are going in to catch a game, get there early, it usually fills up pretty quickly.

So, after I had a rather bland experience and expressed it here on Yelp, the owner sent me a message. He explained that my business was important to him and that he wanted me to give Roundhead's another shot. Because I live so close and feel everyone should get a second chance, I took my boyfriend with me to try another side of the menu. We went during the week and were happy to find a great drink special after being warmly greeted at the door. The service was wonderful and feel like the server wanted us to enjoy ourselves took care of us without being over the top. She suggested the wraps (rounders) and we followed her lead by ordering two different kinds. They were both very good and HUGE. Dinner, a bucket of beers, and lunch the next day for a very reasonable price. Good choice Mr. Roundhead, I enjoyed my second stop into your place. I will be back.

Manager refused to honor cash value of groupon despite the listing saying "even if groupon is expired, merchant is responsible for honoring original cash value after promotional period expired. " flat out lied to us thinking we were too drunk to know difference. Food was bland and forgettable. We live 3 minutes away and will never visit again.

I came here today as an after party of christening from my bf's side. this place has the word pizza in it, so i expect the pizza to be good. it was okay. just okay. but i ate a lot cause i was STARVING the salad they served us was good though a lot of nice flat screen tv's for the sports fanatics out there.

Long, slow decline? What started out as very good pizza is now merely good to sometimes poor. If they put 1/2 the effort into their food as they do the electronics, maybe this trend could be reversed. Don't get me wrong I love all the TV's but is fiddling with them the primary concern of the manager? How about spending some quality time with the kitchen and servers?

I'm a fan of this place. I was glad this place made good use of the old Uno's space, and they really dressed it up into a nice neighborhood place, a good gathering spot. I usually come on Thursday nights when they have trivia. The food is delicious, especially the dough balls appetizer. Comes with two cups of marinara and one cup of nacho-style cheese sauce. Their lunch buffet also features a nice variety of stuff including chili, soups, pasta, salad and of course, pizza. My only complaint is about the guy who runs the trivia. Nice guy and all, but two things bother me. Last night our team won the night, and he came over to congratulate us, but he also all but suggested that we were using our phones to get answers. Also, he always takes a lot of interest in the girls in our group. Again, i'm sure he's a nice guy, but don't be so obvious about it. It doesn't take away from my opinion of the food or service, so no extra reduction here.

You know, I usually enjoy Roundheads (hence 3 stars instead of the 2 that I wanted to give based on the service), but I took my dad there for pizza a few weeks ago, and found the service to be less than the usual pleasant and efficient servers at Roundheads. I don't know her name, and I really wish I did...but our server was overwhelmed to the max. She had the entire north end of the restaurant to herself it seemed, and she could NOT handle it. We waited for a few minutes before anyone even greeted us, and brought menus. Another 5 minutes before the server even arrived...When she asked what she could get us to drink, I asked about the beers. She listed off the drafts, seemingly annoyed with the fact that I had asked at all, which made me not really want to ask about the bottled selections, since I was already apparently putting her out. It's fine that you don't have a drink menu, but get the servers to pleasantly list off your beers, so you can sell 'em. We ordered our pizza then, as well, unsure when she would return. She did spend a little extra time flirting with a table of guys, which may have perturbed me just a little bit...as I was sitting there with an empty water (wishing I had ordered that beer). Finally after 45 minutes our thin crust pizza arrived. I've eaten here before. It has never taken that long for a 14" pizza to arrive. Ever. It wasn't even delivered by our server. She barely came back to check on us. She had too many tables and could not handle it. I'll return for sure, because I rather enjoy the pizza and the atmosphere, especially during football season, but if that chick ends up being my server again, I'll definitely move tables. Disappointment to the max.

My husband and I go here fairly regularly when we're itching to get out late on a weekend night. The food is decent bar fare, the service is generally fine, the restaurant in general is just OK and we've never had to wait for a seat. They have decent draft specials ($3 domestic, $4 craft) on Saturday nights and they have a good beer selections all the time. The bar area has lots of TVs. They also have some killer late night deals on their appetizers. For you Illinois fans (or for you fans of other Big 10 teams): this bar does NOT have the Big 10 network. So for those nights when you just want to watch some Big 10 basketball, avoid this place. Your next best choice is Buffalo Wild Wings down the street, but if there is a UFC fight on, you're out of luck.

Exactly what I need...another lunch time pizza buffet. Roundhead's Pizza used to be the home of Uno's, which I was told was never really busy. It's actually a pretty cool environment on the inside. Definitely sports bar mentality with the many many many plasma televisions that all over the place. You won't miss any games here. The pizza is decent, nothing to brag about...worthy of a return. However, I don't know of any pizza joint in Lombard that screams for me to come back to. The buffet runs during lunch from 11AM to 2PM. For $7.99, you can pick from various pastas, pizza, various chicken dishes, salad, etc. It's not a buffet of bar food, but actual filling food. I really don't need to get in the habit of buffet and beer during lunch. I'm sure my boss would have a problem with me coming back half loaded. While they do have a full bar, I did see kids there during lunch. Lombardians, if you haven't been there, go check it out.

We use to go there for the buffet lunch at least once a week years ago when it first opened. Last year, I had a disappointing experience as far as quality of food. Today we gave it a try. Although food taste was ok, we walked in at 11:45a to almost all food missing from the buffet. Fried chicken did not come out until 12:30p when it was time for us to go. Mini burgers were brought out but gone immediately. Note if your going to have a lunch buffet make sure it is well stocked during peak lunch time. I am done for this year, I guess.

I'm gauging the restaurant here - not the bar. My daughter and I visited today for a pizza lunch. The server brought out some crayons and paper to color. (no, not for me) We ordered a 16" pizza with half cheese and half meat. It took about 25 minutes to get the order and the place was empty. But when it arrived, oh boy. It tasted great. We had a great time and the service was fantastic. I would recommend the pizza.

A great place to watch sports. Seriously, this place has a ton of large, beautiful TVs. Beer selection is so-so. The pizza is average, a bit sweet and sauce-heavy. Service is friendly and the overall decor is quite comfortable.

3.5 stars I considering the rating to be good considering that I got dragged here and didn't want to come here. We got there around 4ish and we were the only people sitting in the dining area while everyone else was at the bar area. I got to hand it to them for accommodating to us craft beer drinkers for having a well-rounded selection. Most of the craft were from Midwest breweries like Bell's Goose Island, and 2 Brothers. My Patty Melt was ok but would of been better if it wasn't so greasy. They forgot to charge me for my pint of Goose Island Green Line but when your server is the barmaid and has to take care of everyone else by herself, expect mistakes to be made, not that I'm complaining about the error. Bill came to $25 for 3 including an appetizer, which is very good. The music was very bothersome, which probably made us finish our meals asap, as it played bass-pumping Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and random rap music the whole time! A good place to nurse a beer while watching a sporting event, but not for dining in.

Great place for groups, friends, and to watch the Bears games!! They have jersey raffles, and even gimmick nights like on Sunday nights you roll a pair of dice and get whatever beer off the list that number is on for only 2 bucks! Great way to try new beers. The food is way better than Miller's (also in Lombard) and the environment is too. It has everything you need in a sports bar with speedy service and flexible management when it comes to orders and payment. I come here with friends often for games on Sunday and Monday nights. The only downside is that you cant come here for a simple dinner on game nights! You will not be able to get a table for hours! If coming with big groups, get here an hour before the game starts at least! Great Pizza too!!! See also "Another Round" in downtown Downers Grove!

I have been to this Pizza Pub on several occasions now and I must admit, the only thing I've tried is the pizza which is very good. Nice thin crunchy crust with plenty of toppings and very consistent in flavor which is VERY IMPORTANT. I must admit, its kinda pricey beer/drink wise so this isnt a place I could/would hang out at, but it is good. I will continue to get pizza from there.

okay so for a sports bar with great pizza this is my place to go to in the area...the staff is ALWAYS friendly and one the owners is always there and make a point of stopping by and saying hi to me. their food is outstanding the crust on their pizza is perfect, the sauce is a bit sweet but nothing that would deter me and the cheese on my thin crust was perfect...i like easy cheese and it was exactly the way i like it...and the ticker...perfect little touch. but be warned on big events because they are packed so if your gonna watch a ufc payperview or another stanley cup game get there early

We had a fantastic first time dining experience at Roundhead's last Friday evening. We arrived at 6:30pm and were offered one of the tall tables in the bar area. Everything on the menu sounded so good. I ordered the rib eye steak sandwich and I have to say it was the most delicious rib eye steak sandwich I have ever eaten. Usually you have to tear into a rib eye steak sandwich but this one just melted as I bit into it. It was done to a perfectly requested medium. The only thing we did not care for was the fried dough ball appetizer. It is a huge platter of small fried dough balls with a marinara dipping sauce. The dough balls have no seasoning so I did not enjoy this appetizer. I will order something else next time. Portion sizes are very good. Two women at the bar ordered a nacho appetizer and after eating it for 30 minutes had barely eaten half of the plate. After your dinner you are given a complimentary small cup of Italian lemon ice. That was a nice treat and literally left a good taste in our mouths. Before leaving, the manager stopped by our table to ask us how everything was. I mentioned the delicious rib eye sandwich and he said they order the best beef around. He was very nice and friendly. It is a little on the expensive side so we probably will go back about once a month.

the bar is huge, many big screens to watch your favorite game and they have some great drink specials. I don't recommend eating here however, their food is nothing great.

I've made no secret of the fact that I am absolutely in love with sports bar style restaurants and all they have to offer. I'm always searching for new places that have some hidden little gem on their menu that makes them worth returning to. I think I may have found a new one, and better yet, it's near my new house. First and foremost, the appetizer menu here is ridiculous. In hindsight, I almost wish I had forgone the usual appetizer/sandwich route and just gotten several appetizers as my meal. We ended up going with the pot roast waffle fry nachos which sound so absurd, they had to be good (and they were!) Great real cheese on them, crispy fries, and good bits of pot roast made this a unique treat. The sandwich (a fancied up Italian sub) was pretty good, but the fries, oh man the fries. Handcut, dusted in... something tasty, and in such abundance too. Sure, I hated myself for it later, but you get that plate put in front of you with that many fries on it, you feel pretty happy. The atmosphere is pretty much a roudhouse. Brick walls, scratched up wood tables, and of course more TVs with sports showing than you can shake a stick at (where the hell did that expression come from?). The service was average, nothing exciting, but nothing to complain about either. So yeah, I'll have to be back. I really want to try their pizza, and with all those appetizers, this seems like the perfect place to get a beer (they have a pretty impressive beer list) and eat some dough balls or nachos (gotta try those). And I have to say, that I think it's quite appropriate, that as I move into a new place in Lombard and start this new phase of my life, my 101st review reflects my new home.

Unfortunately, this place has gone to $&@. The first 2yrs or so it opened it was awesome. The service was great, the place was clean, the food was always good & the management was top notch. You would easily find my busy family of 4 there 2/3x a week. When management changed is when things started to go downhill. I don't know if they changed their food vendor or went with lesser quality but the food is just awful now and the service is extremely rude and slow. The cook forgot Canadian Bacon on my Hawaiian & our server ignored me when I mentioned it! Many times there is barely any cheese on our 'za and last week multiple pieces of our pepperoni pizza didn't even have cheese on it at all. The fries are now disgusting (raw) and the sliders are tasteless and both used to be my favorite AND now you actually have to order them separately as the sliders no longer come w/ fries and you only get 3 sliders instead of 4 and the price has beenjacked up! It's sad as we enjoyed the atmosphere but we started to hang out at Gullivers instead. Can't see this place staying in business much longer.

I first experienced Roundhead's for a Sam Adams beer tasting event. They paired a bunch of beers with some of their food and it was all very good. The lasagna is one of my favorites along with the fish and chips. They have excellent pizza with lots of topping choices. Great drink specials daily. And their dough balls appetizer is spot on. Great place to watch a game too.

Great beers and pretty good food! I've heard their buffets are good and a great deal, but I have yet to partake...perhaps I see an update in my future!

Pizza's good, and so is their Ma's salad but their prices are a turn off for me. They do have a lunch buffet that goes for $7.95 per person and is good for the price if you're hungry. Nothing is lowfat mind you on this buffet, the chopped salad is just eh okay...nothing can live up to my favorite Portillo's chopped salad...sorry Roundhead's, stick with your Ma's Salad for your signature and put it in the buffet, but not if it up's the price. The positive is,it's a great place to meet up with friends and catch a game on the many flat screens here. The owner is friendly and makes his way around the tables. Nice atmosphere, but I think they can make smaller servings on some of their entrees and offer a more affordable price. I also noticed they are starting to introduce bands here at this location. Worth a try; go on a day the Bear's are playing and get their taco bar for under $5 bucks. Oh one other thing, the $2 Margarita's on Wednesday are so water down, don't get too excited about that drink special even if it is two bucks.

My coworkers were looking for a buffet that could fill the void that the closing of QQ Buffet caused. $7.99 (don't get drinks) is good and we sure like all you can eat (or is it... eat all you can!). Keep in mind that this is a pub so lower your expectations, but here are some of the highlights: Spinach & Artichoke Dip (tastes great) Pastas - Gnocchi, Penne (as good as Olive Garden) Taco bar (beats Taco Bell) Pizza Selection (good enough) At least they had sports coverage and the place was big enough. Go in groups of four since the seating doesn't look friendly for more if it is busy.

I have been to roundheads a few times. The first time me and my bf got the lunch buffet. Nice variety of choices from tacos to salad bar to pasta. Its a good deal at $8. Our waitress was really nice and offered me some bread for my soup. You get a little lemon ice cup at the end of your meal too. Yum. Next time I went to watch a college football game. I got there at about 11:30 am on a Saturday and was the only person there. The staff and bartender were very friendly and personable. They turned the speakers to my game so i could hear it while I was there. The margarita was strange, it was clear and tasted like watered down tequila. Bartender made me another fruity drink that was good. I got the buffalo chicken roundito that was yummy, but huge. I went there recently with a group of friends. Service was slow. The nachos are NOT good. They had melted cheese and some wierd slimey cheese sauce to fill in the gaps. They got a huge pizza and had about half left even with 4 people eating it. They have great drink specials on Wednesday. $2 margaritas and beers. Perfect. Its close to my place and I will probably go there often

A couple years back I would have rated 4 or 5 stars. This was a great place in Lombard. The food is still good, but the service has destroyed this place. Not just on one occasion, not a few times, but the last 15 or so times I've been here it has been ultra slow. We bring a group of 10-15 people in here weekly for a good portion of each year, but we have officially quit. They are losing a great amount of business over this, especially since nobody goes here on Friday's anymore, when we come in. The waitresses have been disappearing into the back for at least a half hour at a crack for over a year now. As a group of big, hungry, thirsty people who tip a minimum of 20% and often times more, this is mind-boggling. Guys that would drink about 5 or 6 beers during dinner have only been able to get ONE DRINK per HOUR PLUS for over a year. This has to be due to a lack of leadership. The owner simply cannot care. Nice job throwing money away. We will be giving our few hundred dollars and good tips to competitors from now on. If it weren't for the Blackhawks being so good, this place would probably be closed by now. Awful.

The staff is great, and kudos to them for being so nice and helpful, but the pizza is rather expensive and not all that great, as in it's really greasy. And as I am one who doesn't factor staff reviews unless they are very negative, my 2-star rating is solely on the pizza. Either lower the price or make the pizza better, because the prices just aren't worth it.

I went there for an Eagles playoff game bartender was real friendly and food good. there is nothing special about the bar as it is in a former uno pizzeria. The place is typicalof suburban sprawl big bars as it has absolutely no unique characters found in neighborhood taverans.

I got a carry out order, I did not sit at a table. The pizza was $13.45. I gave the girl $20, she asked if I needed change. A 50% tip on a carry out? ANY tip on a carry out? She only handed me the box. She gave me the change in singles, clearly expecting a tip. The pizza was average.

So I'm walking into the restaurant when the pleasant smell of beef, cheese and hot peppers entered my nostrils. If you can remember any of those old black and white toons from the late 70's when a succulent smell goes wafting across the room and like fingers they catch hold of a cartoons' nostrils. That's exactly how the smell of this pizza pie grabbed me. A room full of wooing fans cheering on the Black-hawks and I'm eyes and nose drawn to this tasty pizza pie. A father and son sat watching the game and slamming slices. I couldn't just walk by without knowing what exactly was on their pie. Had to know and I asked. First time hearing Italian beef on a pizza which also included hot giardiniera, bacon and onions. Let me tell you the beef and cheese, sauce n'peppers.. It smelled divine. Hunger begged me to por favor for a slice. I didn't. Due to time constraints I couldn't order one for our table. Forty five minute wait for pan pizza and with a movie planned, just couldn't make it happen. Instead we went for the daily special, tasty hot wings and fairly decent cocktails. Also got an order of their guest favorite, dough balls. I'm expecting mounds of dough baked and served with pizza dipping sauce. Instead, a family order of bread stick nuggets with homemade pizza sauce. I wish they served this with a cheese dipping sauce as well. (Hint, Hint owners) This appetizer can feed four easily. Food was pretty good, service same. More dudes than chicks in here, although I hear it's mainly a family establishment. I've still got that beef and cheese pizza on my mind, I think one of these days I have to make a trek back there for some of that.

A local sports bar with good food, better then most draft selection (lagunitas IPA and 2 dollar PBR at the same place!) and so far, so great service. Drink specials everynight of the week are also a nice feature. We have not tried thier pizza yet, but have had the bagel burger (as a veggie burger and as a regular one) buffalo chicken, chicken wings, and the fish and chips. Others we have gone with have tried other things and also been impressed. The fish and chips was exactly what it should be in a pub, nice huge clean pieces of fish with great crispy batter and a massive amount of fries. I am going to try to stick to giving out stars based on the yelp descriptions and i am definetly a fan of this place as a sports bar.

Roundheads had become a family favorite . I cannot tell you how much we enjoy this place ! I have never had a bad experience . We sometimes stop in three times a week . What makes this place so special ? It's the staff , everyone that works there will go out of there way to make you feel at home . They are top shelf! The food is priced affordable and is of top quality . They always have drink specials , and if sports is your thing Roundheads is your place ! They have plenty of screens to view your favorite game . Last season my wife and I watched almost every Blackhawks game there . I would really say that this is the best place to view Hawks games , they sound a horn when a goal is scored and lights go off , it is THE place to watch hockey ! Plenty of great beers on tap at ohhh so affordable prices . A great envoirment , plenty of parking and some of the best pizza in the area ! I highly recommend Roundheads .

I tried Roundheads for carryout. A medium (14 inch) pizza, an order of garlic bread and a buger was $31.00, a bit on the expensive side. However, the food is EXCELLENT. I found out they have a buffet, Mon-Fri during lunch (11-2), so I thought I would take my family. The total for 2 adults and 2 kids (who barely eat anything).....$41.00. I was disappointed in the buffet. Almost all of the items have onions in it (allergy to onion) and all I could eat was some salad and pizza. They have fried chicken, pasta, a taco bar (which smelled great but the meat was loaded with onion) and chili and soup. I picked around the onion to try a bit of chili, which was really good. The price is a MAJOR turn-off. Not somewhere to eat at a lot, if you want to be somewhat economical. I don't like dropping $41.00 for lunch. Pizza is really good, but the prices will keep me from eating here more than I would like to. And that's too bad.

We have been going here for years almost weekly . The pizza is pretty good and the wraps are also good. . Over the years we have seen changes , not all for the better. One change that has not helped is the female manager. . No personality and not professional management material. The wait staff is decent and helpful. Best by far that we request every time is Joetta. Always nice to be greeted by a smile and a friendly personality. When you go in request Joetta. . And give the place a try ..

Terrible service, couldnt even tell you about the food, because we never received any. After sitting in an empty place and no drinks for 10 minutes, we walked out.

This place sucks now. There are never enough staff on a Friday night. All of the waitresses are in the back eating instead of serving us. People are walking out. This is stupid

Awful.

The pizza was average.

okay so for a sports bar with great pizza this is my place to go to in the area...the staff is ALWAYS friendly and one the owners is always there and make a point of stopping by and saying hi to me. their food is outstanding the crust on their pizza is perfect, the sauce is a bit sweet but nothing that would deter me and the cheese on my thin crust was perfect...i like easy cheese and it was exactly the way i like it...and the ticker...perfect little touch. but be warned on big events because they are packed so if your gonna watch a ufc payperview or another stanley cup game get there early
