We had to drop someone off in the area and wanted to bring home Chinese from somewhere different so we looked to Yelp for a recommendation and found it with Lucky Wok. Good choice overall - the place was packed with people early on a Saturday evening (many were Asian/Chinese so that's a great sign the food is authentic). We ordered a big variety of menu items from pot stickers and egg rolls to fried rice and entrees. The stand-outs for us were the egg drop soup, egg rolls and Lucky Wok Cantonese - I really liked that they put the pan fried noodles on top of the other ingredients in the container so they don't get all soggy during transit. We also had sweet n' sour chicken which looked like a double order to me - tons of chicken! The sweet/sour sauce was a bit thick for my taste but delicious anyway. The flavor of the fried rice was excellent but it was a bit dry. Egg rolls were also great but we would have appreciated some sweet/sour and hot mustard sauce for dipping which wasn't included in our bag. We don't live very close but do get the chance to be in the area every now and then and will definitely try Lucky Wok again.

I have ordered delivery online from Lucky Wok numerous times. Not only is the food absolutely delicious but it is crazy hot when it arrives (aka super fresh!!). It typically takes 45 minutes for deliveries on weekends and Fridays (based on my experience). We've started getting the dinner for 2, which could easily be a dinner for 3 or 4 - plenty of leftovers which is fine by me!

I love dumplings and hot and sour soup. The rest of chinese food I can take or leave honestly. So I will focus on what I know- hot and sour soup! We ordered on weekday night for pickup and the order was prompt, and she even gave me more dumpling sauce when I aksed. YEA! the hot and sour soup was really good- different than many of the other places in Lisle as it had red pepper flake in it and was a slightly lighter colored broth. The fire in it was really good as the red pepper gave it a twist! the otehr thing that I thought was intertsing- but didnt order was that they had triple mushroom dishes you could order- i like these straw mushrooms and there is never enough of them in dishes so next time, I think I will try those.

My husband walked in the door with our takeout and said, "This IS our definite go-to place from now on." It doesn't hurt that we live about a mile from this place and it gets great reviews on yelp! Here's our experience. I called to get two lunch specials: Schezwan vegetables and orange chicken. I wanted the veggies to be all vegetarian and asked for white rice and then... before I was even able to ask for a veggie eggroll instead of a regular one, she already knew and asked if I'd like that since I was vegetarian. Perfect. The orange chicken was easy to order. My husband picks it up 15 minutes later, brings it home, and it's wrong. The vegetarian meal was made with chicken. Back in the car he goes and not more than 10 minutes later, he reappears with THREE meals! They allowed us to keep the mistake and supplied us with the proper meal with no hesitation. They apologized and we ended up with three very large meals for about $12. And it was delicious! Well, my eggroll tasted a bit like cinnamon, but I'm also kind of getting over the flu, so maybe I'm the demented one. ;) People make mistakes. But we appreciated most that they didn't take the other items back (to just throw away anyway) and were apologetic for getting our order wrong. It happens. Definitely our new go-to place since they owned up to it and were speedy in fixing the issue.

Lucky Wok is a tiny, little, hole in the wall chinese takeout restaurant, but is super fast and easy. It can be a bit difficult to find (in a strip mall with another chinese restaurant and Lucky Wok is on the window, not the sing), but the people inside and on the phone are super friendly all beit sometimes a bit difficult to understand. The food was very good and prices were very good as well. It's a good, authentic, chinese takeout place.

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The egg rolls are fantastic. The delivery is always hot and the orders are always accurate. The vegetable lo mein is maybe the best I've ever had.

I love Lucky Wok for take out. There really is no eating there, although there are some tables set up. The Kung Pao chicken is excellent. I've tried it at a lot of places, but this is by far the best. The chicken is so tender, the sauce delicious, and there's lots of everything - chicken, vegetables and peanuts. Also, their pot stickers are amazing. I get food from here very frequently and I've never been disappointed. (Keep in mind this is a storefront take out place).

THeir food is amazing! i decided to give it a try after reading some of the yelp reviews. They did not dissapoint. good food at cheap prices. I got the mongolian beef and it was just delicious. and plenty of leftovers for the next day. I will definitely keep ordering from here.

Some places give you vegetables with your meat and some places give you meat with your vegetables, this place overloads their food with onions and green peppers and goes light on the meat! That and their food was mediocre at best.

Pound-for-pound best Chinese joint in the area. I rarely eat there because I am always on the go when I order or have them deliver. They've gotten my order to me in 15minutes an it was DELIVERY, these guys KILL! You get A LOT for your moneys worth. And the food is great. Egg rolls, crab rangoon, fried rice, shrimp tempura, etc etc etc. I've never had a bad meal or experience. Aces all the way~~

Oh so yummy! Our favorite Chinese joint for those nights when we want to fill our bodies full of sodium and other deep fried delights! Staff is friendly and the service is quick. Love this place

I order online, arrive and pick up my food immediately. They have great Vegetarian Egg Rolls and Crab Rangood and their other dishes are nice as well. There is some variation in quality, but it is never bad. One thing I'd like to see are more descriptions of the food online and maybe pictures.

I stopped here for takeout around 8 on a Saturday night and was excited to see how busy the place was - always a good sign! The service is very friendly and they had my order ready to go in about five minutes, even though they told me it would be 10. I ordered the Tofu Country Style (extra spicy!) and an order of egg rolls. They honored my request and my entree was indeed spicy - just right, actually. The veggies were fresh and crunchy and the portion was huge. I think I'll get at least three meals out of it when all is said and done. The egg rolls were good, but not great. I wish that they made their own sweet and sour sauce, but I can't complain since the prices are low compared to other Chinese places in the area. I wound up dipping my egg rolls in the sauce that came with my entree. Yum! The only thing that keeps me from giving them the fifth star is a matter of personal taste. I prefer my tofu to be firm and slightly crisped, but the tofu in my entree was sliced silken tofu, which never tastes as hearty and can get slimy when reheated. But if that's how you like your tofu, then you'll be delighted! I'll definitely be returning to try other dishes, I'll just skip the tofu next time.

Huge portions, great price, and they are very accommodating when it comes to adding/substituting ingredients in their dishes. I haven't been disappointed by any of their dishes yet. They do have seating at the restaurant but in all honesty I wouldn't recommend eating there. A couple tables and it's always freezing inside. Just take it to go. Grab some chopsticks and eat in your car or something.

My new favorite Chinese take out. The egg rolls are awesome and the fried rice wasnt greasy at all. Also, good quality white chicken. Good prices, and close to home - this is a home run.

I just happened upon this place when looking for a closer Chinese place. It is a good place for takeout or delivery. It really is not an eat-in place as it has a very small dining room. The food is always ready very quickly, so if you are calling ahead you shouldn't wait to go pick it up. The sign from the street does not say Lucky Wok, so if you aren't looking, you might pass it by. Their sweet and sour chicken is some of the best I have had. They have very good fried rice too. I was not thrilled with their egg rolls though.

  • Andrew M.

This is great Chinese food. Yes it can be a bit greasy, but the flavor is good. Much better than most other neighborhood Chinese restaurants. In my opinion better than all but the best Chinese in Chicagoland.

  • Jen M.

My sister and I ordered take out from here while we were babysitting our little cousins. We ordered egg rolls, chicken fried rice, beef with broccoli, and sesame chicken. Everything was good, but plain. I would probably order again if I needed a cheap, quick Chinese fix. The prices are certainly affordable. Beef with broccoli was outstanding!

I live in Naperville and there are plenty of chinese food takeouts around..but they just don't meet my expectations. Lucky Wok has been by far the best I've had. For the price you get pretty good portion sizes. I highly recommend the Mongolian Beef and Hunan Chicken both those dishes are excellent. If your in the neighborhood and craving some good Chinese food I'd definitely recommend picking up some from here.. you won't be disappointed.

A hidden gem in the burbs! We ordered pork ribs in black bean sauce, pepper beef, fish fillets in this sweet/sour pickled vegetable, fried rice. All excellent. Pros - Great food. Pepper beef just melts in your mouth. - Ridiculously ginormous portions. One order of fried rice was busting out of the cartons. 'They should've used 3 cartons instead of 2. - Not too greasy like other places Cons None, really. The beef was a bit too salty for me and will ask for low salt and no MSG next time. btw, sign on strip mall says Chinese Cuisine. Didn't know they were called Lucky Wok until I found them on Yelp.

No frills takeout Chinese that is always fresh and always tastes great.

Great food, great prices, huge portions! Best crab ragoon I've ever had. The 'Dinner for 2' can feed 4-6 people. No joke. You get egg drop soup, pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, kung pow chicken, and 2 egg rolls, 2 crab ragoons, and 2 fried shrimp. Its a tiny place so don't plan on dining in, everyone picks up food. Delivery is offered but a steep $4 so just call ahead, and pick it up. Food is usually ready in 15-20 minutes.

Great prices, great food! After moving to lisle from the city, we were unsure of what to expect food-wise for the area. We were definitely impressed!! Generous portions Without the grease that is typically expected with some Chinese dishes. Favorite dishes from our order were black bean garlic chicken, beef & broccoli and Kung poa shrimp. Will definitely be ordering take out from here again.

So far, I've only tried 4 things from here and been here once. But so far so good! Now I have a place so close to my house that I can get yummy Chinese food. I love Cantonese food! They also cook Mandarin and Sechzuan styles. I ordered some sort of veggie dish because they didn't have the pea tips I wanted. We ordered the potstickers, beef stew, and jade tofu with mushrooms upon recommendation. I LOVED the tofu.. just like the Japanese tofu in chinatown. Will be looking forward to trying other things. They have such a great extensive menu.. actually they have two separate menus. I'll change to a 5 star maybe once I've tried it and they've gotten me to come back at least 5 times.

Simply incredible. Lucky Wok is your typical hole in the wall greasy Chinese takeout place, but their prices are incredible -and- they offer their lunch specials all day long with a small up-charge outside of the lunch hours. Two lunch specials during dinner hours and two orders of potstickers for $25 out the door? Let me in on this.

I will never try another place for Chinese food after finding Lucky Wok! My favorites are the Pot Stickers, Crab Rangoon, the Egg Rolls are awesome, Beef and Broccoli, the fried rice, and the Sweet and Sour shrimp is pretty great. Everything is always fresh, delivery is always fast and your food arrives piping hot. Prices are not high and the portions are always enough to share between 2 people, even the lunch specials! They've even made me dishes that aren't on the menu, Green Pepper chicken, and it was delicious. Definitely a place to try.

This is my FAVORITE Chinese place in the area, though just for the record...when I first moved to the area, this is the only place I had a menu for so I ended up there by default but it continues to be my favorite, and since moving to Lisle, I've tried a few more places. I don't stray much from my usual egg rolls, beef fried rice, and maybe egg drop soup, or crab rangoon but everything is always up to par with this place. I can call my order in from the downtown Lisle area, pack up and drive over and my order is always promptly waiting for me, still warm. My mom even likes this place and she doesn't even live in the area. We'll order and she'll take extra rice and soup home to my Dad and it all re-heats good. The portions are generous. Everything is good here...the service & the food!

In our family's opinion the food was just average. Ordered the beef chop suey, sweet and sour shrimp, and appetizers. the crab rangoons were good, about the best out of what we ordered. Delivery was about 40 minutes which is about how long they said.

They ALWAYS get my take out wrong ALWAYS. I have lived in Lisle for 3 yrs and last moth was my last time ordering from them. Their food is not that great, Ive had much better. The fact that they cannot get orders right really irks me! I work hard for my money and I expect my order to be correct every time.

Liked it the first 2 times we came here, but the last 2 times have been not so good. Chicken tasted like it had been cooked in old oil and was un-eatable. Egg rolls same thing, old oil taste. Probably would be real good if they would just make it a habit to change the oil every once in a while instead of pushing it to the limit. Hopefully someone reads this from the restaurant, I think it would do them some good.

Best Chinese food around. You definitely get your money's worth. Their fried rice is one of the better ones I have had around here. It's a tiny place and does not look too appealing by any means, however, if you want a place with one of the best deals for a lunch special with fried rice, an entree, and an egg roll, you can't beat this place. I usually ask for everything spicy, and they definitely accommodate to your needs.

Late night after working in the kitchen, the wife and I wanted to get some Chinese take out! Yelp, as usual, didn't steer us too off, and found Lucky Wok en route! Called ahead and ordered up the following: Szechwan Beef: Spicy, good mix of veggies and meat, nicely tender meat! The wife detected an off taste she didn't like (perhaps the peppercorns?) but it tasted fine to me! Black Bean Fish: Nice tender cuts of fish, LOTS of onions (too much actually). Really tasty dish. Kong Shing Tsai (also known as Ong Choy, or Water Spinach): The oil was VERY heavy handed here, and it really made this dish not taste very good.. And while the bill was just under $30, we had 2.5 out of these three dishes. (To note, I ordered the large sizes of the dishes). And more rice than we know what to do with. Verdict: This may become staple place for us to go to late nights. We'll be back to test more menu items!

This place had so many good reviews, I had to get some take out and see what they had here. My summary of our dishes: Egg Drop Soup: Poor. Very watery, light on flavor. Eggshells included-yuch. Pot Stickers: Great! Tasty from the sauce to the sticker itself. Beef Fried Rice: Best I've had in quite awhile, dark in color, good beef. Spot on. Fine Cut Pork Chop Suey:would have been good, except for the SUGAR taste. I hate when Chinese food is sweet when it's not supposed to be. Also, this dish typically has a light colored sauce. From Lucky Wok it was decidedly dark. Soy Sauce is usually not part of the sauce recipe for Fine Cut, but it is here. Chicken Egg Foo Yung: Again, it would have been good except that they put sugar in it, Not sure if the sugar was just in the gravy, or the patty too. In either case, it had a sweet flavor, which was unexpected and unwelcome. Misc: The white rice was a little bit gooey. Also was shorted one rice, but since it turned out gooey, no big deal! All in all, more misses than hits. If you don't mind sugar in your Chinese, you might like it...

I normally do not like Chinese, but this place was great. I felt a little adventurous and instead of getting my normal chicken fried rice, my boyfriend and I got pot stickers, orange peel chicken, beef lo mein, and egg drop soup. All of it was delicious! We even got free egg rolls and everything was under $30. Highly recommend this place!

Some of the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. We are new to the area and still have everything packed up, so we decided to get something for dinner. I placed an order online, which was SO easy and convenient to use, and the lady called to get my cc number. She was extremely friendly and told me our food would be here in 25 minutes. Within the 25 minutes the guy was here with our food. We had teriyaki chicken for a appetizer and man! Was it good!! I had yellow curry and rice, my husband had fried rice and orange chicken. Both were extremely yummy! My curry wasn't spicy, but it had just enough taste to make it wonderful. The rice was awesomely sticky and went so well with everything. We paid around $30 and got SO MUCH! We had plenty of left overs for the next couple days. I am going to order again ASAP! The best Chinese food around!

I have never been disappointed with my food from Lucky Wok. Everything I've ordered is hot, fresh, and delicious. I think they have great chicken fried rice, which sounds like the most boring thing ever, but I love it. I also feel like they're reasonably priced. I've ordered from other places that have been much pricier and not so tasty.

Outstanding Chinese food. Great new find. Their shrimp fried rice outstanding as well as the Mongolian beef. Our new favorite place.

  • Hayley H.

Good, basic Chinese food. I ordered the small portion of Chicken with water chestnuts and snowpeas. Cooked well, though not much flavor. Had to add lots of soy sauce. The fried rice was fine, also a bit bland. The pot-stickers were very dough-y. Not made of the thin dough usually seen. This was comparable to the thickness of pancakes, fluffy ones. The chicken inside was just a meat ball. Dissapointing. On top of this, I also ordered Crab Rangoon. Now, I've had lots of crab rangoon. Probably every time I get any Asian fare at all. This truly was just super crunchy, super fried, cream cheese. Hardly any crab or taste. The sauce was good, the sweet sauce, but skip this too. Delivery on a Sunday at 3pm took 45 minutes, slightly longer than expected, though the food arrived hot. Good to cure a hangover, but would not order from here again, unless desperate.

3.5 stars. We tried Luck Wok for the first time recently. The food was better than several other Chinese places in the area. The veg egg rolls were light and crispy without being greasy. The veggies inside tasted fresh. The hot and sour soup had too much thickener in it as is common with other places. The Mongolian beef was good. The vegetables in the vegetable Chop Suey tasted fresh but the overall dish was bland.

Gotta say, if you want your money's worth for some decent Chinese food, Lucky Wok is the place for you. I've eaten a few of their take-out dish from family friends who visit and would bring us some food and it had always tasted decent so today I decided to go to the place and check it out myself. Plus, it was Chinese New Year and being a Buddhist, we had a tradition of being vegetarian on the first day of the Lunar New Year for good karma. We picked Lucky Wok because they have a decent Vegetarian selection and was very affordable. We had a group of 3 so we ordered 3 entres and 1 Large Hot & Sour soup that all came out to roughly $20. We had plenty leftover to take home afterwards. Even if you had ordered a small it was decently proportions and it was for under $5. There were some dishes that were House Specialities but they were still very good deals at $5-$8. Today I tried everything vegeterian: Vegetable Kow, Tofu Country Style and Egg Foo Young Mushroom. The Egg Foo Young, hands down was the best I have ever tasted and it didn't even have meat! I didn't even miss meat the whole time we were eating. The veggies were fresh and green and they were cooked just right, crunchy and not over-cooked. They did used a lot of corn starch in their sauce as far as I can tell because it was thick (so note that one meal will make you full for a while) but their seasoning and flavor were not over the top or too salty. The only thing I wasn't totally fond of was their Hot & Sour soup that tasted too sour! It tasted like they had went overboard with the vinegar but hey, if you are a die-hard fan of that soup, you'll find a way to get used to it. Overall, great place. So affordable if you are a college student or anyone just looking for cheap Chinese eats. Come here to order or get take out. You just gotta know that if you are going to eat-in, they don't have bowls and they will give you your food in Chinese cartons and plastic boxes (it's ready for you to take to-go afterwards). There are no official silverware or plates, so plastic forks it is! It's not about the service or presentation here but their food alone will leave you feeling satisfied ;) Oh and Credit Card payments of amount $15+.

Awesome service and delivery! Never dined in. BBQ pork appetizer is great and the chicken egg foo young is the best we've had from take out! The prices are fantastic and the lunch specials are a great deal and the portions are very generous.

FINALLY! The delicious Americanized Chinese takeout food I'd been longing for! As I've noted in approximately a zillion reviews here, the GrubHub pickins in my neck of the woods are slim. There's a couple of Chinese restaurants but nothing I can't live without. I was craving delicious morsels of fried orange chicken, chewy, fried potstickers, and crispy, cream cheesy crab Rangoon. I suddenly recalled that all the people at my office ordered from Lucky Wok and hoped we'd be in their delivery radius. We weren't, but the menu was promising enough that we ordered takeout and my husband picked it up. We split the crab Rangoon, potstickers, orange peel chicken, and the general's (?) chicken. The potstickers are PERFECT. Chewy, soft, salty, delicious potstickers, not the wussy kind made with egg roll wrappers. The crab Rangoon was great. The orange peel chicken was just spicy enough to be interesting but not at ALL hot. Husband devoured his chicken. We got ample rice for both dishes plus leftovers. ALL of this food was $34! We're definitely going to be ordering from this place every time the Chinese food craving strikes... Which, lucky for Lucky Wok, is often.

Always solid, great prices, good service, healthy portions, convenient hours and this super-tasty magic hot sauce that makes everything taste just thaaaat much better! Highly recommend their lunch specials. And their chicken soup is just plain perfect.

We've been ordering from the Chinese place which I think is the best I've had in the Chicago suburbs. We usually get the beef pan fried noodles which has just bit of extra sauce I think it's oyster sauce and the Kang Pao chicken and Mongolian beef. The fried rice spicy style is fantastic.I think they have authentic cooks here.

This... is... the best place ever? My family has ordered countless combination meals here for dinners when no one feels like cooking, and the taste has never disappointed. Whether it's the fish and vegetable, combination fried rice, egg drop and corn soup... man. The list goes on. Pretty much every order has been great and I've never gotten sick of the place over the years. Easy 5 star rating.

Our entire delivery order reeked of cigarette smoke. I don't know if it was from our driver or from the kitchen but it was pungent and at the forefront of our dishes. I will definitely not order from there in the future the food was inedible due to the smell.

I really enjoy this place. No don't think I've ever had to wait longer than 5 minutes when I come in to pick up my order. The food is always great, and the people are always very nice- even when it's super busy on the weekends. There are a few tables when eating in, but I wouldn't recommend bringing a large group to eat in here.

Typical strip mall Chinese food. I'm a creature of habit so I generally order the same thing every time. Their Peking Fried Rice is awesome, never had it before this place so I can't compare, but the flavor combos are so tasty! Their beef lo mein is killer, I feel like the meat to noodle to veggie ratio is great (though I love noodles). The beef is so tender and not skimpy portion sizes. There have been more than a handful of times I've ordered lo mein from the other places and had to eat around the meat because it was so unappetizing. The egg rolls (and veggie egg rolls) are good, but very greasy. They're pretty large as well. I often go in to order since I never have their phone number on me, I never wait longer than 10 minutes. Though, the last time I tried calling I just kept getting a busy signal. Seems like they have only one phone line, which is frustrating.

I found Lucky Wok's # from Yelp when I was driving back home last night. We had a few guests joining us for dinner at the last minute. I called a few Chinese restaurants I usually get the carryout from. None of them could do the delivery and I didn't have energy to pick the food up. So I ended up ordering from Lucky Wok which turned out to be a right decision. I didn't know their menu so I went for Tofu with country style based on yelp reviews and the receptionist recommended Eggplant with garlic sauce and Pork stew with Taro. Half hour later, the delivery guy showed up with the order. They all turned out pretty good with the huge portion. My personal favorite is the Eggplant which was cooked and seasoned just right. Pork with taro was a bit greasy and heavy for me but my husband claimed that was his favorite. Tofu was cooked in my preferred way which the tofu was not breaded and fired and seasoned lightly comparing to other places which have too much soy sauce I'm just glad I have another Chinese place I could order from. And I am ready to try other items from them once I could get hold of one of their menus.

Great food, good prices, no hassle delivery. If you can have the Crab Rangoon - get it - you won't regret it.

Not that great but not bad. I thought I should try a new Chinese restaurant to see what else is out there. The food wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't great. Also, don't plan on eating there, its super tiny and not much seating. Ordered: Szechuan Vegetables, General's Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, & Crab Rangoon.

  • Ashley L.

This is probably the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. It wasn't drenched in sauce like most Chinese food places, and it tasted healthier. The sweet & sour shrimp was crispy and light; the veggie eggrolls were crunchy and actually tasted like vegetables. SO GOOD!

When I am in need to get good Chinese, quick and affordably, nothing beats Lucky Wok in Lisle. It's on the corner of College and Green Trails. While House of Emperor has a lock on the interior look, Lucky Wok meets and sometime exceeds with the quality of the food. I'll pull off the train at night, call in an order and it'll be ready to go when I arrive. The food is ample, tasty and afforable. They don't sacrifice anything at Lucky Wok, which is great! Especially the Crab Rangoon! My Favorite.

    (5)
  • Dan K.

My go to place for Chinese lunch and at 5-6 bucks for lunch specials, it cannot be beat and the portions are big.

When my wife and I don't feel like cooking, we would head down to Lucky Wok for their $5 lunch box specials. Yes, lunch specials even at 9PM. I always order the peppered fish, and wife would order the bittermelon fish. We then eat the lunch box on the spot, so no need to wash dishes at home either. A healthy and affordable meal for two... Their Cantonese cuisine is pretty authentic, hence it is a favorite carry out joint for local Chinese in Lisle and East Naperville.

I went to middle school right down the road from this place and used to come by after school all the time with friends. They're located in that shopping center w/ the gas station, look for it if you can't find it. This place is TEENY and sparsely decorated but I have a feeling they mostly sell by carry-out anyhow and the food is so worth it. Their food is delicious and cheap. The won-ton soup is the best in my book and the portions are ginormous -- perfect for ravenous kids like me :D.

Not bad, but like others said, not the greatest. Perfect for a 30 second drive down the street to pick up an order. Very nice lady at the counter.

Ok, so not distinctly or uniquely better in quality (certainly not the decor) than other decent Chinese places around, BUT these guys are consistently tasty, fresh, clean/safe, and very fast for take-out. Every time we decide to try someone else for a change, we end up returning to Lucky Wok. Family run & the real deal.

I lived in the Green Trails neighborhood for 10 years. I tried it once because it was close and instantly knew that I found the place to go for my Chinese fix. Great portion size, fantastic prices, quick, friendly, consistent and always busy. ALL good things.

Lucky Wok is the best Chinese delivery place I've every had! Believe me that's not an over statement. Try it. The staff and delivery personnel are very nice and even know me when I call :-) Enjoy!

Best Chinese food in Lisle for sure. The pot stickers are delicious. Food is fast and consistent.

Be very careful here if you have peanut allergies. I asked them if they cook with peanut oil and they said no. After spending four hours in the Emergency Room with my son last night who has a peanut allergy, I stopped back in today and asked again. After telling me they cook only with vegetable oil, I specifically asked about eggrolls, and finally she said yes the eggrolls have peanuts. I asked what else and she said the Kung Pao chicken. This is a a far cry from no peanuts.

I've had the pleasure of both dining in at Lucky Wok and ordering for delivery from them. The quality of food was consistent and delicious in both cases. I highly recommend their combination fried rice and their "Lucky Wok Rice Noodles w/ brown sauce." Yes, that is the exact prescription of the dish and it's a fantastic chow fun dish of flat and wide rice noodles sauteed in a garlic sauce with ample amounts of beef, chicken, shrimp, and fresh vegetables. My only caveat regarding dining in was that the space was tiny and there was no heating! Other than that, the service, from whom I assumed was the owner, was friendly and hospitable and delivery is prompt and hassle-free. Lucky Wok is definitely one of the better Chinese take-out joints out there!

Went there for a cheap meal before a movie. Was actually surprised by how good the food was. I got the vegetable lo mein. Big portion sizes, and a decent price. I will definitely go back

  • Eric M.

  • Rachel S.

  • Darryl M.

  • James S.

  • Eli H.

Awesome service and delivery! Never dined in. BBQ pork appetizer is great and the chicken egg foo young is the best we've had from take out! The prices are fantastic and the lunch specials are a great deal and the portions are very generous.

I order online, arrive and pick up my food immediately. They have great Vegetarian Egg Rolls and Crab Rangood and their other dishes are nice as well. There is some variation in quality, but it is never bad. One thing I'd like to see are more descriptions of the food online and maybe pictures.

This is great Chinese food. Yes it can be a bit greasy, but the flavor is good. Much better than most other neighborhood Chinese restaurants. In my opinion better than all but the best Chinese in Chicagoland.

My go to place for Chinese lunch and at 5-6 bucks for lunch specials, it cannot be beat and the portions are big.

This is probably the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. It wasn't drenched in sauce like most Chinese food places, and it tasted healthier. The sweet & sour shrimp was crispy and light; the veggie eggrolls were crunchy and actually tasted like vegetables. SO GOOD!

This place is awesome. You can't beat the quality of the food for the price. The portions are huge. I always have food left over.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
