NOT HAPPY. J's does NOT offer an online menu, NOR a website, nor anything 21st century. Okay, FINE. Not all Chinese places do, I get that. So we called and asked a question. The guy says, I'm too busy to talk to you and answer questions, come IN and order or don't bother. Yeah, we'll go with not bothering, thanks. Since it was Monday and Hong Kong House was closed, we went to Panda Express. Never again will I give my business to someone that terribly rude. If you can't answer one question on the phone, don't answer. Pblth.

This is where all the Indiana people come for Chinese. The meat here distinguishable as actual meat - the veggies are fresh. We've been coming here awhile and never have been disappointed.

This is without a doubt my favorite Chinese place in the area. My family has been eating here since I was a little kid- for as long as I can remember! It's a takeaway shop, so there's no seating inside, except a small table to wait for your order. They do offer delivery, however, and that's normally what we do. The delivery is INSANELY fast. Last time we ordered, it came to our house in SIXTEEN minutes. It was crazy. I've never had anything bad there, but my mom and I do have a standard order. We usually get the appetizer tray for two, which includes some ribs, BBQ pork, two egg rolls, two crab rangoons, two beef sticks, two wontons, and two fried shrimps. Their egg rolls are my absolute favorite. They always taste fresh, with distinguishable ingredients. I also get either a sweet and sour combo, which has shrimp, pork, and chicken, or hong sue chicken, which has a tasty brown sauce and veggies with it. I also really like their Mushroom King, which is chicken, beef, and shrimp in a light brown sauce with a bunch of different kinds of mushrooms. We also get a large fried rice in either pork or combination, which is beef, shrimp and chicken. I also love their egg drop soup in the winter time! They deliver really fast, and the food is always hot and delicious. I've never had a problem with anyone who works there, they've always been smiling and happy to see their customers.

I'm just hurt! My once fav food spot is not the same. This order we had several different meals and they all were bland, watered down. I hope they bring back the flavor and quality I once loved.

If I could review with no star I would! Lots of customers coming and going so we were hopeful. This must be due to the location of J's which is far from any other restaurant except a barbecue joint. The chicken kow had rubbery chicken and very undercooked vegetables. The crab Rangoon and pot stickers are made with won ton that is so thick it makes it too chewy. The menu stated "customer favorite" for Syngapore Noodles. CanNOT see how this could be true. We tried one bite of each dish; put the lids back on and dumped it. GROSS!

I grew up a few blocks from Jay's and my parents still live close by. I have eaten their food for YEARS(!!!) and always have a great experience. Firstly, and most importantly, the food is the best Chinese I have ever had. I still compare all Chinese food to Jay's, and they all fall short. Seriously. Get some. Secondly, I have come to enjoy the guys that work there. The service is fast and friendly.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
