Went there yesterday for the first time, had a burger and an old fashion double dog. The food was good, I really like the hot dog. It was probly the best one I have had from a place around here. The burger was good also. I was excited to see that they have Green River on the soda fountain. Only thing is, make sure when someone walks in, that the cashier isn't standing behind the counter on is phone. It took him a minute for him to even realize that we were standing right in front of him.
Very very good food and the fries are amazing. I got the 2 dog special which is decently priced and how could you not love Green River soda which is one of a handful of places that serve it. Hot dogs are truly chicago style. I would like to see hamburgers there eventually as that is the only thing it seems like it's missing. 4 stars instead of 5 because the wait was a little long but the line was pretty long. You can tell the owner cares about his business after asking everyone how their food was.
Good food! I had the hotdog and my man had the Italian sausage. Fries were fresh and hot. The menu is limited, but that's okay--do what you know and do it right. The only thing is suggest is to ask the name for the order...or use a number system. It's strange to be notified your meal is ready by having it hollered out to the dining room. If/when they get busy, this could cause confusion. Yes, I'm nit-picking. Will def come back and support local business.

Cold Stone Creamery

Reviews:
I don't know how anyone could complain about this place. Like the guy complaining with close up pictures of the floor being dirty... You don't have to eat off it and to make the assumption that the place is always dirty after observing what it looked like after a full day of service, 8:30 p.m. , is kind of ridiculous if you ask me. To the person that doesn't necessarily like "mix-ins" in their ice cream and would rather just have the ice cream. Go to Baskin Robbins. How do you not know that this place is known for hand mixing ingredients? There is also an option to simply get the flavored ice cream by itself. You don't give a company a lower rating for offering something you don't like. With that being said, I went in today and had a good experience. The place was clean, the employees were nice and the ice cream was very good. It was something like 6-7 dollars after tipping them and to me that is not crazy expensive like some have stated. Idk what some people expect to pay when they go out for ice cream but if that's too much, stop at Walgreens on your way home and get a pint. Bunch of over-analytical food critics on here.
I love Cold Stone Creameries, but this one was terrible! The brownies were like hockey pucks and the "mix-ins" were barely there. 2 strawberries? Less than an inch of banana? I will NEVER patronize THIS Cold Stone again!
Let me start by saying that Cold Stone is not my favorite. The ice cream is always "OK". I'm not sure I want "mix-in's" in my ice cream. How bout just regular ice cream? Anyway, we stopped here to pick up an ice cream cake (which was decent, incidently), but being an ice cream addict, I had to get a cup. Unfortunately, there was only one kid working the counter. In the middle of the afternoon, in the dead of summer. That's right. Only one kid. Nice guy and all, but we waited in line for a half hour for a couple cups of ice cream. I had to ask him where his help was --- The answer he gave me was that the other worker was out at the store getting cookies because they ran out of Oreos. Unreal. I almost lost my craving for ice cream after waiting so long in the line. At any rate, the ice cream is passable, but not a place I would rush out for by any means. The service was horribly slow.

Alfredo’s Pizza

4560 W Algonquin Rd
Lake in the Hills, 60156
Reviews:
All 4 stars for the thin crust pizza. EXCELLENT! The sauce is amazing, Za was cooked perfectly, cheesy goodness. Our chef salad was also very good. The coupons and specials here make pricing very reasonable. If they carried gluten free pasta and/or pizza crust, we would eat here weekly.
We recently catered from Alfredo's for our sons graduation party and not only was the price right but the food was a hit! Everyone raves about how tasty the beef and mostaccioli was. The people who work there are kind and helpful as well. We have also had their pizza and it was also fantastic!!!!
Interesting that their pizza comes up number 1. In our family I like Alfredo's the most: I really like the cornmeal on the crust and the pizza is always cooked perfectly. Not much of a place to eat in (a few tables) but their pizza is a treat for me and I get it as often as I can do so (when my wife and son are away!). I have only had their thin crust pizza - they have other styles - and their mostaccioli is also good (perfect for children). If you need a pizza, you want to avoid a pathetic chain, and you are, especially, wanting a thin crust pizza look no further - this is the best thin crust in the area.

Taco Bell

Reviews:
Taco Bell is usually predictable, and this location isn't an exception. I went here on a weekend, and though there were very few people in the restaurant (1 family of adults/little kids and 1 individual), it wasn't very clean. I had to table hop when I realized that some unattended tables were messy and needed to be wiped down. Still, the service was friendly and the food was standard.
I give this place five stars for the employee "Nick"'s behind! Place is clean and standard Taco Bell food. Usually I'm annoyed at how long the drive thru takes but tonight I was so pleasantly surprised. Nick gave me my food and took my money. I'm not trying to be a pervert or anything but this guy seriously has one of the nicest butts I have ever seen in my whole life. Maybe the nicest ever! It's actually unbelievable. Everyone should go in for a nacho bell grande or burrito and check out this behind they have working behind the counter, it's amazing!
This is by far the best Taco Bell I've been too. I give them 5 stars just on customer service and consistency. I've never had my order messed up, never had cold food, and everyone is always pretty friendly. Also this location is pretty fast, so even if there is a line you aren't waiting a terribly long time.

Ordered on line by the time I got there they had everything ready we ended up getting 2 large pizzas instead of mediums. The girls were Friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. 3 kids 2 adults and plenty left over. Total bill $22.00
I always order from here. The BBQ sauce is the best!! Ribs, pizza and wings I always order and Joe gets it right every time!!
I don't even know where to start with this location. I have been ordering from them since roughly July 2013 and things have always left much to be desired, whether it was food quality or service. Let's start with the second to last experience I had. Few weeks ago .. ordered delivery from this location. Ten dollar dinner box. Upon arrival, driver didn't have a pen or the right soda we ordered. No worries..he then drops the marinara sauce all over the porch....in negative fifteen temps. I told the driver I wanted him to go get more from the store as it's only two minutes away. I told him I wood give him a few extra bucks and that it wasn't a big deal. "No. You have enough there and it's not my problem." And proceeded to walk away. Tried to get a hold of a manager only to be hung up on. Managed to track him down the next day and explained what happened. Thought it was taken care of.. Decided to give them one last shot tonight. Pizza arrives an hour later.. same driver mind you. driver gives me the pizza and begins walking away. Politely, I ask..excuse me , is the soda I paid for with you? ..and he gave me a nasty look with a snobby "it's in the car" and then gave me another nasty look when he noticed he didn't get any gratuity. Not only that but someone decided it'd be a good idea to place a ranch dressing pack right in the middle of the pizza then close the box. I don't know about you but anyone with half a brain should know that's going to smash the pizza. It's not a box support. Let's ignore the fact the pizza is clearly piping hot fresh off the oven and it tasted like plastic. Mmm... photo included. You know, if they didn't hire young punks off the street who gave f**k all about acting a fool making their business look bad, I wouldn't be writing this review. Spend your money with the Crystal lake location up the road, they at least get things right.
