Buenos Dias Burritos

It is excellent for a greasy spool Mexican joint it is. Tacos and burritos are among the best I ever had and priced very competitively. This is also one of the rare places that serves tongue, with trappings of your choice.
Small family Mexican restaurant. Mainly take out as there are on seats for 30. I got the taco lunch special with Horchata. $8 for two streak tacos, rice, beans, and a drink. Everything was good, service was friendly and fast. I will definitely be coming back for a good inexpensive lunch.
Can't tell you how many times I've been here. Over 100 for sure. My sister and I split the chile relleno burrito and each get a regular sope. My husband gets the steak burrito. The tortes are fantastic. We haven't had a bad meal. Haven't tried the frys?? It's 7:00 am and would like some Buenos Dias now!!!

Saw an offer on GroupOn & we just moved to the Itasca area. I'm very glad we tried it. The Italian beef sandwich is excellent! French fries were crispy-just the way I like them. The restaurant is clean, the service was very friendly & the food was delicious! Prices are very reasonable even without the GroupOn. We will be back to try more items on the menu.
Needed some good food and this met the requirement. Atmosphere: this is a very small cafe that has a mix of tables and booths. It doesn't have much in the way of decorations, but it is a nice quiet feel to it. It feels almost as if it wants to be a diner, but isn't that big. Staff: the staff was great! I let him know I had never been there, so needed a little guidance on selecting and he did a great job letting me choose my food. Food: I had combo #1 which were a couple of hot dogs with fries and a drink. The hot dogs and buns are nothing spectacular. The condiments however were fresh and piled high on them. The fries on the other hand were amazing! They have to be just about the best fries I've had! I noticed they have a large selection of foods, so I will have to go back in there at some point to try the gyros or hamburgers, or just about anything. So, it's a good place to go to get some food and definitely nice and clean.
Best hot dog's I've had in the Chicagoland area and great deal under 7 dollars for 2 dogs, fries, and a drink.

Starbucks

I love this location! It's a standalone store without a drive thru, so it has a more small town neighborly feel than the city locations which just want to hurry you in and out. Derek, Andrew and Jeff are awesome and I do a little happy dance inside every time they're working. The only negative thing I have to say is that the decor was changed earlier this year and I have no idea what corporate was thinking. The store feels dark and cold and the bathrooms have no heat. According to the corporate website, "We believe a coffeehouse should be a welcoming, inviting and familiar place for people to connect, so we design our stores to reflect the unique character of the neighborhoods they serve." Look at the decor though...I guess they felt "white power and oppression" was an appropriate theme for Itasca. All we need is flys around the eyes of the coffee laborers in these pictures (which take up an entire corner wall).
Coming to this Starbucks is always a treat. They take care of us so well and always get our orders right. I like the layout of the space and love the little touches, like their employee facts decorations, that give it some character. It's conveniently located across the street from the Itasca Metra Station and on the corner of the Wesley G. Usher Memorial Park. We stopped by most recently to take some engagement photos because the interior and exterior provide a wonderful backdrop for photos, particularly the outer brick walls and paved walkway. And, as mentioned before, it's on the same block as the park, which also offers some great scenery for a photo shoot.
Cute location next to the metra station. Everything was nice, except for the entitled jerks who felt the need to block traffic by parking in the entrance to the parking lot (instead of an actual space) so they could run in and get their drinks three seconds faster. This certainly wasn't the cafe's fault, but it made me happy we came by foot from our hotel across the street, and not by car.

Casale Pizza

The crust has gotten butterier, I think, on the thin. It's pretty much perfect now. And while my dear husband would never join me in eating it, their roasted veggie pizza (tomato, onion, eggplant, red pepper) is one of my favorite-est pizzas ever now. Plus, I think the guy there is starting to recognize me. He called me "hon." What a hoot. The only downside is their itty-bitty parking lot that has oddly situated spots. (You can park on the street nearby, in the 7-11 lot or in the Metra lot after hours if needed.) Yay Casale!
Great take out. Pizza is delicious. Cheesy beef and fries are the best. Always a nice quick food pickup.
Good pizza, especially for the price. Pizza has gotten really expensive over the last few years. Casale is prices a notch below the other locals but the quality is equal.

Was shocked they were empty when i walked in at lunch time, made me wonder if i was making a bad choice for a bite to eat. Happily i can say i made the right choice. Pizza had a real nice crisp crust, fresh toppings and very reasonable prices. Not sure if i will be in Itasca again anytime soon, but if so i would definitely come back.
Party of 10 for a kids bday and these guys really accommodated us and were top notch dealing with a party of many young kids mayhem. Hats of to them because they were patient , kind , and always checking in on us. I called ahead to let them know we'd be coming at 8pm and though they do not do reservations they let us know what the scene would he like and there should be plenty of room available. They also handled the bday cake we had and brought it out timely and wirh the candles as instructed. We ordered 3 xl pizzas which were more than enough (even brought home left overs ). The pizza thin crust was good especially the bbq chicken . Ordered a few drinks here and there for the adults and it was still under 100 total. Overall: service is great with a smile and pizza that will do the job
Thought we would stop in before we went to Church Street Brewery. We arrived just after two. We entered from the back which could have been the front. It was a little confusing. We saw the huge lunch buffet that everyone talks about. Two ladies behind the buffet called to us and said we could sit anywhere. I would say service is "cold" and not welcoming. They were serving indoors and in the patio. Maybe short staffed. But it didn't stop a "sit down" with someone I assumed as the owner and a family member regarding legal problems. My review is based on the food. If service had been welcoming, this experience would have been a four. We could not try the buffet for $7.95 because it ended at 2pm. Hubs ordered a burger and I ordered linguine w white clam sauce. Dinner salad to start. Hubs wanted an Arnold Palmer but they couldn't do it at the time bc they had no unsweetened ice tea. He had water. They have Pepsi products. I ordered diet Pepsi. When we ordered food, our server asked "fries or chips". My hubs asked what do u suggest which was met w awkward silence and kind of an eye roll. WTH?! So. I don't think we will dine in anymore. I may order pizza for pick up to eat at our favorite brewery nearby.
