This was interesting. I gave it two stars because of some of the staff was nice. The place didn't look clean at all we hesitated at first to even eat there but with their 4 star rating we thought to try it. The bathrooms were disgusting!!!! It had backed up sewers and feces everywhere. It was just filthy! Staff knew about it yet didn't clean it. Staff did however keep the bar clean. Food was ok could use different sauces for a better taste. Drinks were ok nothing special. Probably won't ever go back.

Delightful surprise! We drove up from Houston for our son's Navy pass and review ceremony December 2013. The four of us came in late, passed the bar (my hubby fretting we'd come to a "dive" - but no! lol) to the dining room in back and got the cozy corner table. Loved the ambiance, intimate atmosphere. And the food! Amazing! We were all so pleased with our meal. One of many reasons we would love to visit the Chicago area again.

We love there fish fry, we love there fajitas. This is the best of all their locations. This is the only location that is worth attending. So good. Especially the fish fry. They should just sell the rest of their locations and just expand this one.

Great food and beers. Tough to watch a game there. Small screens, and few "big screens" are hard to see. Great volleyball leagues. The Fat Egg appetizer with maple syrup is a must try- I make every first timer try it and they are changed for life. Bar area is functional, but not the place you want to sit for hours.

Stopped in on a Saturday night, all of us had a nice dinner and the drink selections were great. My wife and I split the fajitas [Saturday night 2 - 4- 1 special] and went home with extra as the portions would have been enough for all four of us. TVs at our table was a unique experience..... Bottom line was we were all impressed and we all would return.

Stopped in here with my cousin and uncle for lunch. I got there a few minutes before they did and sat at the bar and had a few beers to warm up the palate. Yeah. The bar crowd seemed friendly enough and I had a few conversations with some of the patrons before my relatives got there. We moved back to the tables and had a few sandwiches for lunch. My uncle is picky (92 years old and from New Jersey) about his food and almost always orders fish this days. The meals were just the right size for lunch. I continued drinking from bottles at the table. The beer was cold and fresh and went down smoothly with the meal. All in all, a better than decent lunch.

This place used to be a big biker hang out before Kaisers took it over after the real Fatman passed away. Yes he was a fat man! Now the parking lot has been paved and the restaurant remodeled with a full bar menu that includes another great five star thin pizza. Once I was there with a bunch of coworkers on a Wednesday (I think) and the special was $1 domestic bottles of beer and all you could eat pizza. They just didn't throw out a bunch of pizza's on a table somewhere, they took your order and brought you a hot pizza. I don't remember how much the pizza was but it doesn't matter. It was super thin with a crispy crust and great tasting sausage and cheese. It reminded me of the unique taste of The Candlelight pizza used to have on Western ave. in the city. I've had the Kaiser pizza at the Half Day Inn (RIP) and once again its one of the best in Lake County. I wish a Kaiser's owned restaurant would move into northern Cook county so I could have their pizza more often.

This place is pretty awesome! Great atmosphere! Had the best chicken wrap I've ever eaten! Came for lunch on Sat very few people there. I'm sure weekends are very busy at this place. Very cool outdoor bar and seating areas, volleyball and open fire pits.
