Mario’s Pizza

Has the DaVinci it was great. Fresh ingredients. Prepared and presented tastefully. What was on the pie tin was incredible. I was surprised at the quality considering the exterior of the building. A gem. This pizza rivals any big city pizza anywhere! Definitely worth the stop if you are in town.
First time here. Good pizza. Their idea of crust is a little different than I'm used too. Thin, extra thin, and deep dish. Extra Thin I though would be a cracker crust but it wasn't and a deep dish defiantly wasn't Chicago style but non the less it was delicious. Sweet sauce. We will stop in here again.
Pizza is my favorite food and Mario's is my favorite pizza. I've had lots of pizza lots of places and Mario's is the absolute best. It is worth a trip to Greenville to eat here. They also have great salads and bread sticks. FYI, you should bring cash because they don't take credit or debit and they don't open until 4 other than lunch on Fridays.

I tried to go to Mario's Pizza for lunch, but it was closed, at 2pm on a Tuesday, so I went here instead. For a buffet in the late hours of lunch, I was surprised how good everything was. Crab Rangoon, black pepper chicken, Japan chicken, lo mein, general tso's chicken, zucchini, all of these tasted pretty fresh and good. I even had a few pieces of sushi that were good. The only thing that wasn't good was the egg rolls. They tasted like they'd been there awhile. If this place was this good at the tail end of lunch, I'd love to see what it's like when everything is fresh.
It's good that we decided to take a look before being seated. Very poor choice of food, pretty much leftovers at 7.30pm. We walked right out.
Wasn't able to get to St Louis for better Chinese so this was only good for a pinch. The lunch buffet was ok for the price at $6.29. The place looks clean and well lit. The service was average. The food is average - nothing authentic and exotic. The sushi is plain with very little variety but nothing that will get you sick. Short description is that it's a Good American Chinese restaurant.

If you are traveling and don't feel like eating at a McD's or a Tacobell/KFC, try Lu-Bobs. Its a run-down little diner with ripped upholstery, but the food was decent priced well. When I'm on the road, I'll look for anywhere I can get a non-greasy meal with some non-fried vegetables and this fit the bill. Grilled salmon with green beans (non-vegetarian) and mashed potatoes for under $10, didn't blow me away but for a Hamilton I've had much worse. Pie wasn't too bad either. Considering your options in Greenville, IL its a good place to stop.
What a hole in the wall that was full of surprises. We stopped by this place late at night on our way out west. It looked dark and dirty, but it was open. We dropped in and it indeed was dark and dirty, it even had an odor of a wet basement. But we were hungry and it was open. Here is where we where surprised. The waitress was exceedingly nice and helpful and the home made pizza was quite delicious! We got a large Pepperoni & Sausage and four drinks and it only cost us $11!!! So, the place was a dump but the food was A-OK!
I have eaten here once. The place was crummy on the inside (I just wonder how crummy the kitchen is, makes me wonder), torn seats, etc. The food was ok. Nothing to write home about.

Not horrible, but not the best. For a small town in Illinois, it's a decent choice if you go during a busy time when they have fresh food.
Old building poorly rehabbed. Looks like an old KFC. Not especially clean feeling. I almost walked in and walked right back out, but thought I would take a chance and hoped my first impression was wrong. It Wasn't busy at all on a Tuesday at 6:15. First item I tried to dish up was the white rice, and it was dried and stuck to the pot. Well, I thought I would just get brown rice, but it was just as bad. Settled for fresher looking LoMein instead. First bite of sweet and sour chicken revealed that was not fresh either. Went back for vegetable stir fry with lo mein and it was edible. Only positive aspect is dinner buffet was cheap at just $8.95. However, I Wished had spent my $8.95 at the newer KFC/ Taco Bell across the street. Eat somewhere else!
Seriously. Worst Chinese buffet I've ever had. The food is dried up and hard. The trays lay nearly empty. The inside is run down and dirty.

Truly the worst meal I've had in years. The waitress started things off by being bad at her job. Nice enough, but slow moving and disorganized. The ham and eggs my son ordered were inedible. The "all the way" hash browns I got with poached eggs were inedible. The sandwich my wife got was inedible. When I was paying our $35 bill at the register I asked the waitress if they wanted feedback. I told her to look at my table and see how everything that was served was still there. Were were driving through town and are not likely to go to this place again, but... WARNING to all travelers. Go to McDonalds. It's just across the parking lot.
Wife and I stopped in here for breakfast on our way to Columbus. We were seated quickly and our food was ready not too long after that. Lots of flavor and very hot. Reminds me a lot of the Waffle House. Service was friendly and prompt.
The first couple of times that me and my wife went here - it was bad. Poor service, but mostly bad food. Dry eggs and everything else was burnt. Cut to October 2012, it seems they may have turned the corner. The food came as we ordered it and it was good, and the service was excellent. I hope they keep it this way.
