Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. Jameson's has an incredible friendly atmosphere and very comfortable setting. The smell of BBQ is incredible. As for the food- we got a lot of sides with our entree. We got soup, salad, & a side of choice with it. The baby back ribs were great and had an awesome sauce. The sweet mashed potatoes were a bit strange- very liquidy. Other than that the meal was great and would go there again!

We were just in town visiting my father and stepmother and they recommended taking us here for a great dinner. When we arrived it was 8:15pm (they closed at 9pm). We were seated in a timely fashion but that was the only thing that was timely. It took the server at least 10 minutes to bring us our drinks. She then took our order, stating that she would ring the kids' food in first. She waited to bring our soups with the kids' meals (at least 15 minutes after ordering) and then we got our salads shortly thereafter. The kids were done with their meals before we even got our salads. We then sat there for an additional 50 minutes before our dinner came out. We also got up to water our own glasses throughout our wait because she didn't check on us for refills. I asked the server why it was taking so long (I am a server myself so I can recognize horrible service). She told us that it was because the kitchen had shut down some of the grills and had to refire them. We suggested that she let her manager know about the lengthy wait. She said she would do so. After dinner she brought our check and after we paid she said she would definitely let the manager know. We asked her why she hadn't done so already and she said he was busy doing paperwork in the back and didn't want to bother him. Bottom line- the restaurant has wonderful food but the service was HORRIBLE. I hope the manager or owner sees this review. We visited on 9/6/2015 and we were a 7 top by the patio door. We had a $155 check, we definitely should have been checked on by the manager throughout our visit. Shame on the staff for letting such a good dinner be spoiled by horrible service. When we go back to visit, we will not be coming back.

As excited as I was to eat...appetite drifted away on account of poor service. We came for dinner on a Sunday night around 6:30pm. Made reservations via Open Table and specifically requested outside seating for 4. We were greeted immediately with the sub par standard "how many?" After my wife explained we had a reservation, nobody bothered to check the notes so we had to reiterate that we wanted outside seating. On to the server...the breakdown was as follows: 1) 4 waters with lemon took about 10 minutes. (another 5 for straws) 2) Ordering our food followed about 5 minutes later 3) Soups which were supposed to come before our meal, were brought out 25 minutes after ordering when I specifically asked if they were still working on the soups. Of course they were brought out 2 minutes later which we all know means that the soups were just sitting there. 4) Au gratin potatoes, the side with my overcooked medium steak, came about 8 minutes AFTER everybody's food. Overall, poor experience. Nice patio seating, more than likely wouldn't come back unless I had to.

We have been to several Jameson's and to this location 3 times, and I have now decided that it is just not as good as Arlington Heights or Skokie. The food is not as good, and for certain that issue is in the kitchen. The service is not as good, and that certainly feels to be a problem with management. I took Missy in for dinner, and we sat in the bar area to watch a game. She ordered a rib eye, which came out the right temperature, but grey and unseasoned. I had BBQ chicken and ribs, and it was just dried out, over cooked meat, all hidden in a dumping of sauce. The only plus to the meal was the Oysters Rockefeller, which was outstanding. My suggestion is, whoever runs the Arlington Heights location should come and shape up the one at the Glen. I would rather to to Jameson's at AH, than I would a Wildfire. But Jameson's at the Glen, I think Outback might be a better choice.

For a steak house they over cooked a simple medium rear on a NY strip steak to well done. Than they re cooked my dinner and the steak was the right doneness but it wasn't seasoned and the worst cut of meat for an aged steak. Tough and chewy hard to eat. Oh yeah my vegetable they served was a huge pice of broccoli which I need my steak knife to cut. Come on!

Just an OK place. My husband and i stopped in for Steaks after not being able to get a table at Wildfire. I should have known this place wouldnt be great after just being able to walk in on a Friday night. We both had the NY strip steak. They were just OK. Mine was actually a little fatty. Although it was cooked perfectly, the parmesan crust i opted for didnt taste right. i ended up scraping it off. I had the french onion soup as well. I wouldnt have it again. The cheese didnt taste right and instead of the normal soft bread that tops it, there were hard pieces of bread in it (day old bread maybe). I also found THREE bay leaves in my one bowl of soup..THREE! Arent they supposed to take those out? I ordered a midori martini that was soo strong I had to order a ginger ale to dilute it with. Im giving 2 stars because our waitress was really nice, the ease of getting a table (which may or may not be a good thing), and the fact that after i scraped off the parmesan crust from my steak, it was just OK. Im being generous here.

This is a pretty decent spot. I really didn't think it was anything amazing but it wasn't the worst. The mashed sweet potatoes are pretty gross, i think they add honey or something. The steaks are pretty decent. The soup we had was fantastic. My filet and shrimp was pretty decent but not amazing. Its not crazy over priced but it is slightly. The service was good. The scotch prices are ridiculous. We came here for New Year's eve and they were packed earlier but we opted for a later dinner time and was not overly inhabited. I'd debate returning but i'm in no hurry.

As a mid-grade steakhouse, Jameson's does a fine job. It's also a good value. A 30 bucks fillet, is very well done and comes with salad, soup and a side. Service was courteous and friendly. No complaints.

We had a very young, new waiter. He was a bit overwhelmed and quite slow. It took at least 10 minutes for him to come out and greet us and then order taking was very slow. In the past we have had numerous experiences where the service was way, way too fast - food brought out before one was done with the prior course. This was the pendulum swinging to the other extreme. We had to ask for the bread when the salads came out and he came back saying all the bread boards were being washed so he brought it on a plate. Weird to wash all the bread boards while customers are in the restaurant. Guess that is what happens on a slow Sunday. Food was good as always. Fried calamari were a bit too large and slightly rubbery. Looks like they changed sources of calamari as they used to be smaller rings and more tender. Mediterranean sea bass had a well balanced mixture of artichoke hearts, olives, tomatoes and onions. Grilled salmon was fresh and perfectly cooked. The rib eye was well charred and flavorful. The wild rice pilaf was very good with a noticeable addition of sauteed peppers and onions usually missing in other rice pilaf dishes. Grilled asparagus were still green but tender. We sat outside on the east side of the building behind the large hedge row of bushes cutting us off from Patriot Dr. Try that outdoor spot as it feels quite cozy and much nicer than the underground like outdoor space they have west of the front door. That area seems like a cave. We split a piece of carrot cake which was creamy with a nice spice blend of cinnamon and nutmeg and creamy cream cheese frosting. We asked for it warm and it was brought out on a cold plate and the cake itself was not warm but it was not cold either. Could have used a few more seconds in the microwave. All in all we still really like the food here and now that we have experienced the outdoor dining to the east we will sit there again in warm weather. It is much nicer than the dining room for ambiance.

I really wanted to like Jameson's. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, the philosophy of not gouging you on side dishes as most every steakhouse does is admirable and the food, while nowhere near extraordinary, isn't terrible. Unfortunately, whatever attributes they have in evidence are sorely, mortally destroyed by a general lack of service, a compromise which renders the dining experience nigh unbearable. It starts at reception, wherein two different people on two different occasions, couldn't agree as to whether the restaurant would have a special New Year's Eve menu or not. This is information you would think and expect to be universally known amongst employees, but not here. One said no, one said yes. And both had to place me on hold before they returned with their individual "definitive" answers. Next up was a dinner for six, not on a holiday, which wound up stretching ninety minutes past our allotted time for dining when there transpired between our salad course and entree, an hour delay for the food to be served. An hour! 60 minutes! As we were not looking to replicate a lazy, lingering lunch in a bistro in Paris, we naturally asked our server, Sean, what was going on. He said our food was forthcoming, which in his mind translated to another 25 minutes. When this interminable delay was about to end, Sean offered an "explanation" which had something to do with a power outage in the kitchen. When we asked how Sean's other tables were getting their orders in a timely manner, tables with much bigger parties than ours and with lots of alcohol orders, he hesitated and then said it was the kitchen's fault for not telling him about the power outage. Uh huh. He said he would compensate us by offering a free dessert, which he said would be pretty small, especially for six people, but then said we were welcome to PURCHASE as many desserts as we wanted! The free dessert arrived and offered one bite each per the six of us. We called Sean back and said his compensation was a joke given that we had to spend more than 90 minutes in the restaurant than we had planned. He said he was paying for the free dessert himself and we asked him why if it was the fault of the kitchen. He didn't respond, but said he would try to get another dessert, which he did, but again it was a single serving. At no time did a manager ever appear to apologize or explain just what had happened to so taint our evening out. I have since written the home office of Jameson's for more information, but have received no response whatsoever two weeks later. As such, I cannot recommend this restaurant in the slightest for a pleasant dining experience on any level.

If I could give this place half a star I would! I was beyond disappointed. Walking into the restaurant in smelled like a buried smell of cigarette smoke. The tables were filthy and the crab bisque had more potatoes than anything else. I ordered the lobster, when it came to the table I could immediately smell the ammonia coming from it - it was beyond unacceptable that the chef allowed that to come out of the kitchen!!!!! HOW DARE!

To start the drink prices are high. $7 for a Guinness? Party of 6 last Tuesday. All entrees were really good except mine. Filet and walleye combo. Filet was really good, walleye was tasteless and served Luke warm as well as veggies. Half of us thought the sides were not very good. Chilean sea bass was very good. 28 oz ribeye was awesome.

Seriously disappointed with our experience at Jameson's Glenview. My steak was marginal at best. I ordered the skirt steak. Everyone was laughing when it came to the table because they had clearly cut a true skirt steak in half. It was over cooked and flavorless. The only nice thing I can say is the waiter was very attentive and friendly. Never going back.

We had a nice lunch here!my wife had the crusted fish and I had a burger!! It was sooo good.We had a crab cakes app and it was very good too! Salad was fresh as was the hot bread!! We will be going here not the skokie location even if we have to drive out of our way to go there! Skokie is the worse!!!!

I feel a little bummed out about leaving a 2 star review for Jameson's because nearly everything I tried here was very tasty (minus the mediocre salad). Where the gap lies is the speed of dinner service. It was almost 8:00 on a Friday night, with dinner service definitely slowing down and tables clearing out, yet it took over 40 minutes for our pre-dinner salads to arrive. It was literally a plate of mixed greens, one cherry tomato, and a plastic cup of salad dressing. Really? Lemon drop martini - delish! Warm ciabatta bread - awesome! Clam chowder - hearty, sweet, and toasted tasting, mmm! I was impressed that each entree comes with a soup AND salad, along with a side. Our mussels seemed like they were forgotten bc when the waiter came by to tell us our entrees were almost ready, I asked about the mussels, and he responded kind of surprised. When they finally did arrive, atleast they were steaming hot and tasty. Broth was very flavorful too. I really enjoyed my chicken picante. The white wine sauce impressed me, and the side of asparagus and rice pilaf accompanied it well. It's just too bad it took so long to arrive. It's one thing if the waiter could have acknowledged or apologized for the long wait, but he came to our table several times and behaved as if the flow of service was normal. Overall, the pacing of the meal was kind of funky bc our drinks and bread arrived, followed by our soups. Insert long, long wait here before the dismal salads came... then the forgotten mussels, and FINALLY the entrees. I won't be back.

We ate here last night to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. First, the service was slow and just generally terrible. It took the waitress 20 minutes to initially come to the table after we were seated. And instead of taking drink orders first, she proceeded to take everyone's meal order. Then we waited another 45 minutes for soup and salad, which was mediocre at best. Finally, after more waiting and waiting, our meals arrived. This place cannot cook a steak to desired temperature. The well done steak was served medium, while the medium-rare steak was more medium-well. The chicken had no taste. The seafood was just average. Finally, I spent at least 45 agonizing minutes in the bathroom immediately after we got home. Not only did the food taste terrible, it made me sick. Never again!

My wife and I have frequented this restaurant many times. We go eat here often before or after the movies. Sometimes I stop on my way home from work to take home dinner. We always order the same thing. Their grilled pork chop dinner. We like our pork chops rare. Unusual I know, but under the previous manager we were always able to get them prepared our way. Well, no more. The manager told us that it was illegal to prepare them that way. After much discussion and "making a phone call" he agreed cook them rare this last time. When they arrived they were medium at best. On top of that when the bill arrived they had charged me for the vegetable I had substituted for the potato that comes with the meal. They had never done that before. They will never do it again. We will have to find a new place to eat in the Glen. Fortunately there are many.

I ate there last night with my husband. We both had the filet except mine was the special with grilled shrimp on the side. About one to two hours after getting home I had the most upset stomach and vomiting non stop. Went to the ER and they said it was food poisoning. Maybe the shrimp was bad cause that's the only thing difference between our meals. I'm definitely contacting the food and health inspectors. I'm still sick and vomiting. Thanks Jameson's!!

Nice touch Love this place Outdoor seating as well We'll go back many times Waiter was friendly courteous and attentive. checking on are table but not annoying .

This used to be Mitchell's Fish House and was recently taken over by Jameson's Charhouse. This was my first visit to this particular one. I liked the fact that it was roomy and spacious unlike the Skokie location. It has a wide variety of appealing menu items at affordable prices. I ordered the Steak Kabob Medium Rare and it arrived Medium. I was with a large party for my 40th wedding anniversary so I did not send it back nor complain. The salad was apparently bagged and a bit lacking....& the broccoli soup was excellent. A lot of bang for your buck here. Service good too. Will no doubt return if in the area.

We ate here to celebrate my husbands birthday. As always, awesome food, ambience, and great service. The waitress went out of her way to make sure we were all taken care of. Even gave us a container of tiramisu on the house when she found out we were celebrating my husbands birthday. We always loved this place and will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Not very pleased with the place. I ordered rib eye for dinner and it was well done instead of medium. The steak was not well flavored at all. Everything else comes with the steak(soup, salad, mashed potato, and a giant piece of broccoli) is all just OK. All in all, defiantly not a delicious meal worth $23. I will not going back to this place again.

Tuesday night vibe was very laid back. People were outside and in the bar with their laptops out. The food is ordinary. There are no surprises (good or bad) on the menu. All dinners come with soup or salad Jameson's fully commits to the steakhouse theme; there are no vegetarian options on the menu. My sister got tomato juice instead of soup b/c the lentil soup was made with beef broth. Most places have at least 2 options. I just mention this in case you have a vegetarian in your life. Bottom line: You know exactly what you are getting here.

Three of us went for our first visit to jamesons. Soup (tortellini),salad, and bread are mediocre at best but these are not the reason you come to a steak house. I had a $28 prime rib which wasn't great but wasn't bad. My other friend had a peppercorn steak which was acceptable, and my friends rib eye wasn't good at all. The waiter was a complete waste of space. He couldn't tell me anything about the specials, had 0 talent, no refills, and the list goes on. I was served a large untrimmed portion of broccoli, a baked potato with no option of butter or margarine, etc. i did something i normally do not do. The manager stopped by our table at the end of the meal and I asked how it was. I was honest and said it wasn't the worst but far from the best. He defended the broccoli, shitty drinks, etc. he asked why we didn't send the food back. I told him i knew the food would be tossed and i just am not a believer in tossing food because it wasn't perfect. I told him i wasn't looking for a discount, free food, etc but to please just accept my comments as constructive criticism. He began to tell me how all food came "from above" and honestly i wasn't in the mood for a conversation about god. Despite my protests he did give us a free dessert which the waiter gave us and still acted like a complete douche bag. Total bill was 105 for 3 of us with a shiiiiiiiiiiity waiter, mediocre food, and a manager defending it all. I cant say i would ever go back which was the consensus at our entire table.

Went here to celebrate buying a house. Pam at the front is great and so is Thanassi (our server). I just wish that I like the food as much as the service. I am not a big meat-eater, to be honest. I ordered the mussels with the white wine butter sauce but found it a little heavy. The crème brûlée was great!

By far the sloppiest service I have ever had. At first I was humored the pissed towards the end. First it was about 7 mins. till we got greeted. We were with a baby, asked 2 separated people for a high chair, it never came so we just sat him wedged against the booth which was fine. We ordered dinner. Our app came out quick. My split pea soup came out which was fine, I asked the waiter if it was vegetarian, he shrugged his shoulders and said he had no idea. No biggie. Then the salads took about 20 mins. after that to come out. Our waiter apologized and said that he got stuck in the cooler. He said instead of pulling the handle he just had to push the door??? Not something you want to tell guest but he did. Then my fettuccini with chicken pasta and the rest of our meals arrive. A runner asked if I wanted parmesan cheese, I said yes, he left and never came back. I asked again 5 mins. later when the server arrived and also let him know that my pasta had no chicken. He asked if I wanted chicken but I was half way done and said it was ok just don't charge me for it. We ate the asked twice if we wanted things wrapped. If we are still picking at the food, no I don't want it wrapped yet. When I finally asked to wrap things he comes back with a portable station and wraps everything in front of us which was fine. But then he proceeds to say he would rather do it in front of us because the table that just left, he wrapped their stuff and the waiter dropped the persons chicken in the split pea soup. Is that really something you want to tell your guest??? Makes me thing what else goes on in the kitchen. I get the bill and there is a glass of wine that no one ordered on there. I wait 5 mins. till he comes back and told him to take it off. He comes back 5 mins. later and tells me how he asked the manager but the manager forgot to take it off. So now he's throwing his manager under the bus. I paid cash and asked for change. I waited 15 then asked someone where he was and he apologized again. He said there was a problem with the computer. But I thought after working in the Industry all I needed was change a computer isn't necessary for that. To top things off I get home to put things in the fringe and he also included the metal spoon from the restaurant with my pasta??? I mean at first the stupid mistakes were humorous but them got old torwads the end. Definitely not going back ever. Lets step it up Jameson's Charhouse!!

The service was poor at best, the server didn't seem to care about the level of service provided. I emailed the manager afterwards to let them know how poorly I felt we had been treated. The manager responded by offering to buy me dinner in the hopes I would give Jameson's a second chance; his message stated he wanted me to let him know when I would like to give them another try and he would make the reservation for me. I decided to take him up on his offer and responded to his email requesting he make the offered reservation. Management is so unconcerned about service they didn't bother to respond. So much for sincere apology's

Went on a Saturday night with another couple. We had a reservation at 7:00, at 7:15 they finally sat us. Ordinarily that would have irritated me, but the manager was so nice and engaging, I forgot all about it. I ordered the Walleye, Greek style. It came swimming in butter--I was not happy. Greek style means olive oil, lemon, oregano, salt and pepper. It is meant to be a healthier preparation, not one doused in butter. The very attentive and pleasant waiter called the manager back. He knew almost without me telling him what the issue was. In almost no time he had another walleye on my table exactly the way it should be prepared--and with a smile. I also split a mojito with a friend, it was excellent. The setting is very relaxing and pleasant. There are high ceilings, lots of dark wood. Very comfortable, relaxing place to eat with friends. What made this night out worthwhile was the service (and, of course, good company). While I think the food could improve some, I would certainly return.

My wife and daughter took me here Father's Day 2013. We are fairly new to Illinois and have been venturing out to try new places to eat for the last month or so. At this time this place has been the best steakhouse in town near Great Lakes. I am a ribeye steak fanatic. This time I decided to get a porterhouse just because it was a hell of a lot bigger and more pricey. Anyhow I ordered medium well with pink center. It was perfectly grilled and had an amazing taste. The portions were huge and the meal also came with complimentary bread, side of soup and a side of salad. Great amount of food for the price. My daughter had pizza which to my surprise was extremely tasty. This would be a place I could also go to have pizza. We ordered the shrimp cocktail for the appetizer. The shrimps were huge!! And very good!! The reason I made the decision to give it 4 and not 5 star was because my wife was not very please with her salmon. The salmon was too sweet do to the ingredients and was not cooked so well. They could have done better with it but then again it is a steakhouse and not a seafood joint. Morale to the story: in my opinion order the steaks or pizza!

The wife and I had tickets to see a musical event and we decided to visit Jamieson's Char House. The Yelp reviews were mixed, yet most of them were positive. Ok, lets go! Parking - Street or Valet. Heck, we are young, we parked around the corner in the huge lot. The walk was less than 1 min. No need to valet. Initial impression - Dark, warming, smiles. Dinner was at 5pm, therefore we lived on the edge and did not make a reservation. Upon walking in the front door, we were greeted by the hostess who promptly sat us in a very squishy high backed booth. Greetings - We were greeted by our server who took our gave us menus and took our drink order. In short order a martini & a glass of wine arrived at the table. Generous pour of wine and very good martini with the appropriate water dilution. bravo. Ordering - The wife and I split an order of Shrimp DeJonghe. Wifes dinner was 2 8oz pork chops with a side of mashed sweet potatoes. I chose the 10oz strip steak with BlueCheese topping & a side of mashed sweet potatoes. Each dinner order includes a bowl of French Onion Soup & mixed green salad with your choice of dressing. Yes, I said that it came with soup & salad. Wow. Shrimp - Good attempt at Shrimp DeJonghe. Good flavor, cooked correctly, seasoned correctly, nice bite of raw garlic. Not bad! Yumm! My picky part is the breadcrumbs came from a can. I would love to see this dish made with fresh bread crumbs. I know, quite minor. Soup - Bad attempt at French Onion Soup. Bad. The soup base was flavorful but not entirely sure it was made from scratch - maybe Sandra Lee influenced 'Semi Homemade' french onion soup - but I digress. The soup was a bit salty, full of nicely caramelized and slowly rendered onions (some of which could have been cooked down a bit more) and a very sad sad piece of bread on top. Absent was the ooey gooey melted toasted cheese you expect to see on French Onion soup. In its place was a scant sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top of the bread. Freshly grated? Maybe? No. Salad - Our salads were the very typical mixed green salads with a lonely cherry tomato. Nice mix of greens. Wife chose ranch and I chose Blue Cheese dressing. Both clearly came from a jar - not a bad thing, just from a jar. Overall the salad was not bad, nor outstanding. Just your typical average mixed green salad. Pork chop - OMG. The porkchop was brined, prepared "grecian style" (herbs and extra flavors), and cooked to a hint over med/well. Personally, I like it a bit more medium - not a big deal. The chew was outstanding, cut was perfect, and flavor outstanding. I highly recommend this to anyone. Accompanying the pork was a piece of broccoli and a side plate of mashed sweet potatoes. Beef - my 10oz strip steak was ordered Med Rare and was delivered to the table just a bit over med rare. The beef was properly seasoned and seared correctly. Topping the beef was their "signature" topping - Blue Cheese (there is a choice of 2 other toppings). Not a bad combination. Like the pork, I too had the same veg & sides. I would order it again. Wait staff - there was a standout in the restaurant. An older waiter who seemed to have control of the whole room. He helped out any of the other staff (even if it wasn't his table), appropriately engaged other diners. I'm guessing he is a transplant from one of the super posh chop houses in Chicago. These little bits of extra service were seen - how outstanding! Our waiter was quite young and did a very good job. Probably needs a bit more coaching on how to finish taking an order. Good kid. Mashed Sweet potatoes - Oh My God. Sweet, mashed, yummy. I'm going to leave it at that or I will have reoccurring dreams of eating it again. Wrap up - Next time we will probably skip the appetizer. Soup and Salad, while they are not the greatest in the world, they do fill you up. We found ourselves eating 1/4 - 1/2 of the soup and salad because we knew a ton more food was going to come. Is this a world class steakhouse, no. Is it a very nice place to get a meal with good service? Yes. I would have rated them 3-stars, but the mashed sweet potatoes pushed it up a star.

I have been to this place several times under different names and style. Jameson's is the current flag on the front door. Had dinner with working partners and the experience was nice. Good salads and the beef were all great. Cooked to order, juicy, tasty and of a reasonable size. The little nice patio was the perfect place for a spring's evening.

Avoid this restaurant! We came in last night and it was not even busy but the service was very slow. We waited for our appetizers which were oysters for more than 30 minutes. Then the server finally shows up and we order our meals. She came one time to see us to tell us that our food is ready and coming out any second but after that we waited for a long time...My husband was very upset that his meat came overcooked even though he said it to be medium well. I got my mussels but no extra plate to throw the empty mussels out so they were all mixed in my plate. Next to us were two ladies that shared a large salad and one of them waited for more than 20 minutes to get an empty plate. Service was bad and the food was just ok, nothing special. I would not come back to this restaurant again.

As a huge fan of the amount Prospect location, I decided to go here last night when at the Glen instead of the wildfire. What a mistake. I just don't understand how it could be so disappointing when I love love love the Mount Prospect location. So disappointing, I'm giving my first bad help review. The restaurant was empty at 8pm. We should have just turned around and left as I thought originally given it was an empty restaurant on a Thursday night. First off, since we ordered an app the waiter said we probably wouldn't want bread instead of bringing that bread out. It's not like there was a demand from other tables. The spinach and artichoke app was good and the only thing hot that was put on the table. Chicken noodle soup was mediocre and room temperature. Very salty. Next was the mixed green salad with vinaigrette dressing. The dressing was so sour, I couldn't eat the salad. Plus, the greens looked sad. Then came my ny strip and breaded shrimp dinner. The whole thing was cold. The steak looked pathetic, almost grey. The waiter brought it back and it was like warm the second time. The steak had no flavor. McDonalds steak breakfast sandwich has more flavor. The breaded shrimp were extremely salty. I ordered a backed potato and was given mash potatoes instead. I just couldn't handle sending anything more back. The mash are very buttery. Probably the reason I ordered a baked potato. Then, I order coffee, that was also cold!! It was as if it was a running joke to bring out cold food. My dinner guest ordered the mango glazed fish with the rice pilaf. That was tasty. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing $100 meal, especially given my multiple great experiences at the Mount Prospect location.

Went to Jamison's on Saturday night and ordered the 6 oz lobster tail special for 24.95. I requested it be served to me with the tail off and when it arrived it could not have been more than three ounces. My husband and I looked at each other and the to our waiter. He called the owner over ( who from across the room) said it was 6 ounces. It was insulting.

This is a great place if you're looking for a steak. They're always good perfectly to my order (medium rare) with very high quality meat. During the summer, I'd recommend sitting out on the patio. Also, they support a number of local organizations. I got a $10 gift-certificate from a local HS. If you're interested, you can visit the store at goboostershot.com and get a $10 gift-certificate while supporting a local cause.

Completely disappointed in Jameson's this time. I've been there several times and always had great service and great food. Last Saturday I went with a group of friends and sat on the patio. we were just a group of four with a relatively simply order. They managed to overcook all of our steaks and not just by a smudge. We ordered med rare and got well done. Waitress was pleasant but the kitchen was definitely off. One steak was sent back and actually came back worse the second time. Don't think I'll be back.

If I could give this place no stars I WOULD!!. This place is ridiculous the manager at this location is married to Jamesons daughter. Even thou you complain it won't get you NO WHERE its all linked to Jameson himself. I would not step in this place NEVER!!! The manager should take some classes people skills because wow he doesn't have any!!!

Awful management makes awful dining experience!!! Screwed up steak order and others at table ate their steaks even though their side dishes sat on a tray five feet away getting cold while waiter went to try to correct steak order. Soup was like wallpaper paste. After total screw ups and terrible waiter service manager sent out a bland dessert. Manager should not be managing a restaurant or any other business. Please close do a real quality restaurant can open in the Glen. How low can u go!! Yuck

This place is a fuckin joke I ordered food for pick up, and when I got there 30 mins later I arrived, and they informed me they had ran out of ribeye. No wait it gets worst not only was my order not done. They Also ran out Of Mashed POTATOES seriously. What kind of steak house restaurant runs out of steak and potatoes . They were also super unapologetic and my appetizer was not done either when we arrived. Instead of comping something they just accused me of giving them the wrong phone number which it was the hostess who answered the phone who took the wrong number. Haven't you heard of the customer is never wrong own up to the fact that you need to inform your staff if you 86 a couple major things on the menu.

Went on Tuesday night. No wait, no fight for table. Nice dining room. Straighforward and non-overwheling selection of steaks. Steaks are nice quality, grilled professionally and as requested - charred, no sauces on top, and medium rare. The split pea soup that came with entree was outstanding! Salad and tatters that come along for the free ride makes for a great value in today's dining ala carte rip ya era.

Last Saturday my wife and I and another couple were in the Glen for a couple drinks. The four of us decided to try Jameson's Char house for dinner, wow was that a mistake. Here was our dinner order; 10oz NY Strip-medium rare Prime Rib-Medium well Petite Filet Mignon- Medium rare Chopped Salad This is what we received; NY Strip--Well Done Prime Rib--Well done Filet Mignon--Well done Salad---Salad, hard to mess that up I'm the one that ordered the Strip, I cut into 3 pieces just to make sure the whole steak was over cooked, it was. The gentleman that ordered the Prime Rib ate it regardless of it being over cooked. My wife ordered the salad and enjoyed it. So we have 1 NYS and 1 FM that are well done. The lady that ordered the FM, asked for a new one. Me personally, I don't like returning food and have a trust issue when it comes to people handling my food if returned, so I just asked for my NYS to be taken off the bill ,even tho the manager did come out and offer to cook a new one( it only takes 4 minutes is what he told me), I just stuck to my guns and said no thank you and ate my sweet mash potatoes, which were delicious. So here's the fun part. The waitress comes back with the "new" FM and sets it on the table and apologizes again. Remember how I said that the steaks were already overcooked? Well the chef put the same FM on the grill and cooked it some more, LOL, how can you take a FM that was cooked "well done" and throw it back on the grill to become "medium rare"? When we saw that it was the same steak, we all just laughed and she ended up asking the waitress to take it off the bill as well. I will give the waitress credit, she was very nice and apologetic, we kept telling her that it wasn't her fault. Well, that's my review...

Not great. Server did not ask if I wanted another glass of wine. Server (kelly) did not ask how our food was. Salmon was supposedly "Grilled plank". It was served on a plank but clearly not grilled on the plank. Rice pilaf not fresh. Really no reason to come back.

Stay away from this place if you actually know anything about steak and you don't want to be disappointed. We are fans of the other locations, but this place falls flat. The soup tasted like it was enhanced soup from a can, the salad was boring, and my husband's $30+ filet was overcooked and was NOT filet, no matter what the waiter says. My dad's a buyer for a huge meat market locally, and he knows a filet when he sees it. Even I couldn't be fooled...I've been to enough wedding banquet halls to know when a lesser cut is masquerading as a filet. My strip steak was tasty but only because it was crusted in bleu cheese. I ordered it medium rare and there was no pink in it. My dad's lamb chops were so-so. Our waiter ignored us for a long time and only grudgingly offered a free dessert when we complained, but we were with my daughter and it was getting way past her bedtime so we had to bug out and not accept the dessert (did I mention this meal lasted about an hour longer than it should have?) Hello, $140 for three way sub-par meals! There's better steak down the street at Steak n' Shake...think I'll go there next time.

Went to Jameson's at the Glen for my birthday tonight. I had the 10 oz. strip, and my mother & Stepdad both had the Whitefish. My steak was perfectly cooked & tasted great. My mom & stepdad enjoyed their meals which were both well cooked & flavorful. One hitch, though. My mom's original order did not come out well and she asked for the whitefish as a replacement, they handled this with no questions asked.

Made reservations. One party was late so they refused to sit my elderly mother who has trouble standing/walking, at a table until other party arrived. We found this extremely rude. The table service was good but the food was ok.. Clam chowder was salty and the potatoes in the soup were underdone and had to search for clams. Portion sizes were huge. Feedback on the halibut and filet kabobs was positive. Agree with previous reviewer that non-meat items are an exception.

It doesn't get better than this! Awesome food. Great service. Reasonable prices. For the quality of a steak from Wildfire or Mortons you get INCLUDED with your meal soup, salad, warm bread and great side choices. The service was attentive even during our busy Father's Day dinner. I love the topping choices: parmesan, blue cheese or horseradish crust. Yum.

Jameson's has the potential of a Wildfire, but comes up short... Pluses: - was able to make a reservation for a larger group of people for 7:00 pm same day - the setting is very supper-club like, relaxing, and comfortable - staff was attentive and friendly - menu offers a good variety of American fare - waitress took care of our birthday cake that we brought with us (candles, cutting, serving, etc) Minuses: - The food just wasn't as tasty as expected (e.g. Wife ordered NY Strip which tasted so bland, as if it wasn't seasoned at all). This is where places like Wildfire are at their absolute best and pummel the competition - Staff was too attentive, to a point where I felt hurried. I realize it was a larger party of 7 guests, but still, I don't really need the bus boys hovering like vultures watching every bite to see whether I'm done with my salad or not. Overall however, this is a nice alternative to Wildfire and the likes. I would recommend to give them a try.

Had great friendly efficient service. Was great immediately by the manager/owner (?) and Host. Service was prompt and extremely efficient. We ordered an appetizer (crab cakes) and it was delicious! Absolutely perfect. They give plenty of food and you leave happy and full! We ordered sandwiches and our beverages were continually refilled! Highly suggested!

I went took my wife here for dinner on her birthday. The food was good, and reasonably priced. The service was slow, and I think our waiter was new, as he brought us food to the table before we even ordered (I guess that might be considered EXTREMELY FAST, but inaccurate).

I went to Jameson's on a Friday night for my usual date night with my boyfriend. We both got off work late so we decided to go somewhere close to home rather than downtown for steak. We arrived at the restaurant around 10:15pm. I understand we arrived late, but this does not excuse the poor experience we received. The only reason I'm giving the restaurant two stars and not one is because the appetizer and soup were good. However, as we were eating the waiter came with our main course saying "I'm briinging these out now, but don't worry.. they are very hot" Ummm... I don't know about you, but I don't want my food sitting, especially when it's filet mignon and bone in ribeye. I opted to cut my soup/salad time short and immediately eat my steak. It was cold, dry, and the outside of both our steaks had turned grey indicating they had been sitting out for quite awhile. The sides were also unsatisifying: the sweet potatoes unedible (dowsed in maple syrup) and the broccoli was tasteless. I felt rushed, unsatisfied, and no one checked to see how our meal was either. I would never go back here again. I wish we had driven the extra miles and waited an extra hour to eat downtown at Gibson's, Mastro's, or Morton's.

Had dinner on a Friday night for Mom's birthday. Mom enjoyed herself. To me, most of the evening was just OK. Our waitress was attentive, but put that aside and nothing else deserves a superlative rating. The food is just OK, the décor is just OK. It's just that there's nothing special going on here, and along with that thought, the value just might not be here either.

Jameson's in Glenview used to be my favorite place in the world because of their double-thick pork chops. On a recent visit there I was served singles even though the menu said doubles. While the manager made it right, I am afraid to go back for fear that they will try to serve me singles again.

So this is pretty sad. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries to go and when I got home I noticed wow where's the fries. Which pissed me off a little. How can you forget the fries this isn't McDonald's. so after that I look at my burger and realized man there's no bacon on my Burger. So what I got was a plain burger and a cold soup. Thanks a lot I hope you stay in business for a long long time.

We frequent this restaurant often and have usually enjoyed our experiences. The last few times have been slipping in food quality and level of service. Toward the end of our meal, we were relaxing and put our feed up (not on the booth), just to stretch them out. A server (not ours) came up behind me, grabbed my arm and said "I'd appreciate you taking your feet down in my restaurant", and walked away. We asked to speak to a manager, who came over, didn't even act like he cared and walked away. This has gotten to be too much to handle and we will not be returning. I don't see this place lasting all that much longer if they continue to slip in quality. The server who grabbed my arm was Mike, an older man with a chip on his shoulder. The manager who did nothing to assist was Adam

Awesome fresh ORGANIC salmon. I had it blackened and it came out perfect. Just the right browning of the top and so perfectly moidt and flakey. Then add to that perfect cooked aspargas and wild rice. The double salad I opted for in place of the soup was a great choice with the blue cheese dressing. It had huge chunks of blue cheese , great flavor. So far my favorite Jameson's .

What a class act! First off, the food is fantastic. Solid all around. The customer service is outstanding! We came with another couple and our kids. They offered the back private room as an option. Not because they wanted to get us out of the main dining room, but as a courtesy knowing there was room for them to move around. Aside from our dinner orders, they brought out a plate of fruit to the little ones. Overly attentive throughout the dinner. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.

My brother was in town and we decided to go to Jameson's on Friday night July 5 at 8 pm with a group of eight on the outside patio. This was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a steakhouse. For starters we had to bus/clear our own table. Dishes and glasses were stacked together in the center of our table. Next, our food arrived and it sat there on the stands for several minutes. I don't know about you but I like to eat my food warm. After waiting several more minutes we served ourselves. Not what you would expect when you're at steakhouse. We informed our sever that we served ourselves and she then informed the manager. The damage had been done at this point. We did receive an acknowledgment that there were mistakes made but they were from our server who was clearly embarrassed about the situation. Our desserts were free, big deal. The manager was more interested in the hostess than coming to our table and apologizing for such a horrific experience. He never came and showed his face, what a coward. Thanks for ruining our family dinner Jameson's in the Glen. We still paid our 400 dollar tab when we really should have just left. Never coming here again ever. I am only giving it this rating because the food was decent. You're better off going to Wildfire down the street.

I had dinner with my wife last Saturday at this restaurant. The food was perfect. The service was excellent. I had the prime rib and my wife had a chicken dish. We both loved it. The soup and salad came with the dinner. We had a drink and the bill came to 52.00 very reasonable. I even saw a few friends in the restaurant.

This is the place to go if you like to spend 2 hours at the bar waiting for your table while everybody else who arrives after you gets seated first. We went there on a Saturday night without reservations, and the hostess (teenage girls) were seating people who obviously arrived after us, before us. We had a pager, and asked multiple times how many more minutes would they estimate, and it was always 5 more min. The final straw was when the nice couple we were talking to at the bar (who were also there without reservations and waiting 45 min LESS than us) got seated before us. At least the bottle of wine at the bar was good, but they get 1 star for poor customer service.

Actually I disagree with a few reviewers. I took my mom for her bdy to wildfire and thought what a waste of money. I am glad Jamison's opened at the glenn as we used to go all the way to mount prospect to eat there. My husband and I love their meat cuts any time we crave a juicy steak. I love their Jamison's burger too. Any Jamison's location I've gone the service was always excellent. Everything was supper fresh and tasty. Their prices are very reasonable and beat all the restaurants in the area, and please people stop comparing it to gibsons as Jamison's prices are a fraction of that. I love the outdoor seating at the glenn too cuz they don't have that in mount prospect.

I have been to Jameson's 5+ times and have to say that it is such a gem! From the food down to the smallest detail in service, they have it down to a science! They offer complimentary valet, the restaurant is always so well kept, clean and just the right temperature. The staff are friendly right off the bat- always smiling, always kind and never rude! They are very attentive and happy to help with the menu!! They bring out fresh bread non-stop if they have to (we always go with a huge family group) and their entrees come with soup (every soup I have had here has been so fresh!! The mushroom soup is delectable!) Their sandwiches and other options come with soup as well, but no salad-just FYI. I have fallen in LOVE with their chopped steak entree. HOLY COW. It is amazing (come starving because it easily makes lunch for me the next day!) I get it medium well and it comes covered in juices, smothered in grilled onions and mushrooms that never taste over cooked and I get the side of garlic mashed potatoes...WOW. It is truly AMAZING. Their burgers are superb and their salads are ALWAYS fresh- I dare you to try to find one wilted leaf! I have yet to try dessert here (I've always been so full!) but I can't imagine I would be let down. We come here on birthdays, anniversaries, and just for a great meal- it's always classy and calm. I love Jameson's-I'm glad it's apart of the Glen!!

First off I would like to start off by saying the soup was discusting and cold OK so i didn't eat it then I got my salad start eating it and found cardboard in it and still at this point didn't say nothing because I don't like to complain then everyone's order was wrong and still didn't say nothing . Pros: Nice that Jameson's in Glenview was open on Christmas. The waiter was excellent. The soup and salads were good. Cons; The steak was tough, filet and prime sirloin. For a place that specializes in beef, it was very disappointing. Even the shrimp that came with the steak was nothing special. I know they tell the clearers to take away plates, but it became annoying. My son is a slow eater and they kept asking every other minute whether he was done. He didn't even have time to taste his potatoes. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but it made it seem like they wanted to rush us out. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Ordered the balsamic chicken that arrived overcooked and dry. Had to wait a long time for the main course to arrive even though the restaurant was emptying at the time. A really ordinary restaurant.

My husband and i just had a terrific dinner at Jameson's Charhouse at The Glen. The restaurant was well lit from the outside, the hostess was very welcoming, the seater took us immediately to a booth, our waiter, Nico, was very attentive to our needs, the busser kept our water glasses filled and dirty plates cleared from the table, the manager, Frank, was very friendly and talked to us as we were leaving the restaurant. We told him how much we enjoyed our dinner tonight. Warm sour dough bread was brought to our table immediately after we placed our order. We had shrimp cocktail for an appetizer which were huge and very tasty in a mildly spicy cocktail sauce. The entrees included soup (choice of clam chowder or chicken noodle, which were both hot and tasted homemade) and an ice cold salad (variety of greens, carrots slices and tomatoe). I had chicken marsala, asparagus and wild rice. My husband had pork chops, baked potato and broccoli. Both entrees were served hot and were very tasty. The portions were large and so we will enjoy our leftovers tomorrow! We will definitely be back to Jameson's as we feel it was well worth the value and the staff were all very hospitable.
