El Burrito Amigo

Reviews:
This place is okay. The burrito was decent, but average. Also, smaller than I expected. I guess I have been spoiled by the generous portions at TBK.
This opened a few years back and I'm glad it did. It's a nice little spot, smaller than I'd expected, but small doesn't mean it's bad. Good location right there on Grand about a block down from the 25th ave. intersection. Plenty of parking. The service is always fine. It's not over the top but they're not completely negligent either. I haven't tried too much on the menu yet to give an extensively thorough review of every meal, but I've had the burrito meals several times and they're just fine. Moderate portion sizes; not your typical Taco Burrito King fulfillment, but they're generous enough to satisfy you. Prices are fair. It's an alright spot, but conveniently located; so it makes it better.
My dad used to order food from here all the time and I would sometimes go pick it up for him. The guys that work here are nice and friendly but several times they've made mistakes with orders. The food here is ok but the last time we ordered it was just unsatisfactory. I ordered a torta dinner and the bread was all soggy and the outer crust area was stiff. The avocado was slightly unripe and the beans were like half cooked. They were just gross. They also messed up part of our order. The tacos here are better than their tortas but other than that there's much better Mexican food places to order from. This place used to be good a while ago but now it's just gone downhill for some reason.

Jake’s Pizza

Reviews:
The pizza from Jakes was very good! We had a thin crust mushroom and a thin crust sausage. The pizza was very tasty and had a good amount of cheese on it. The sausage was a bit spicy but still good. We picked up our order and it was ready when we arrived. We will be back!
I don't understand how this place has so many great reviews. I'll start with pricing. Pricing online is not correct. I brought this to their attention when checking out and they simply said, oh yeah, let me grab you a pamphlet which by the way isn't right either because we're making changes. Second, their pizza has no flavor. Yes it's thin crust but that's it. You're bitting into thin flour. The only good thing about this place is the service. Other than that don't waste your time. The place down the street is wayyyy better for a reason.
Love me some Jake's pizza. It's been too long! I need to go back. I just stumbled upon the reviews while looking for something else on Yelp. Their pizza is amazing. The crust rocks. It's by far my favorite thin crust pizza in Chicagoland, possibly even in Chicago. Can't wait to get back there now!! :-) Order for delivery or go pick-up. It's a no frills, PIZZA STAND. If pizza is what you want, pizza is what you'll get; nothing more, nothing less. (They *might* have a couple different sandwiches and salad, but I don't remember!) I will update when I get back over there!

I'm an Real Estate agent and I was doing showings in Franklin Park; After my showings, I was driving around the area looking around the neighborhoods. I was kind of hungry too, somehow I spotted this restaurant, so I stopped by for an early dinner. Restaurant looked and had a nice friendly atmosphere. I ordered the carne asada (steak) and a margarita. The carne asada was so tender and juicy, bursting with flavor, paired up with delicious rice and beans. The margarita was made to perfection "Thumbs up to the bar tender. Also, the service was A+ from the minute I got there until I left. Prices are very reasonable. I'm so glad I ran into "Agave".. Excellent Job Guys !!!
This is seriously the best Mexican food I have ever had. Having lived in Texas for 2 years, that's saying something. The Barbacoa burrito was spectacular and the tostadas were totally flawless! Tasty chips and very unique salsa(one of the three is a top secret recipe!), totally complimentary when you sit down. The corn tortillas are very fresh and taste as if they were made in house. If you are a traveler staying in or near Franklin Park, this is the spot!!!
Great food and delicious margaritas!!! Our server Jose was extremely attentive with all of our questions and made great suggestions! The only thing they need is a list of their great drinks with pricing but otherwise had a great experience!

Never ever been to a Culver's before. I thought they where like Steak and Shake or something. Stopped at the one In Flossmoor, on Cicero ave. about 207Th st. This is the best fast food anywhere! I got the pot roast sandwich. Fucking wicked amazing! They give you free soft drink refills, someone even comes around and asks if you need another refill or anything else. Clean restrooms, no lines, great service. I'm sad they are not in Chicago. If you see one and you're hungry don't hesitate. Gives the finger to McDonald's.
Good food, just overpriced..
Great service and friendly team! Thanks Megan for your recommendations! Always a great experience!!

I ordered to go. The food is very good. I was impressed. If you are in that area you must try. I order bistec a la mexicana and it was delicious.
I am not sure where all the other reviewers went but I don't think it was here. The quality was horrible. The waitress said they didn't have half of what their menu said they had and they raised their prices but didn't change the menus or bother telling us. The waitress was extremely rude and the items were not anything like what the menu described. I HAVE HAD BETTER FOOD AT TACO BELL AND I HATE TACO HELL. Definitely won't recommend this place.
A pretty decent taqueria with a decent size menu. Unfortunately it is attached to something called a motel where the worse derelicts seem to hang out. Too bad the servings and price of this place was better than many others in the areas. The marinated pork burrito excellent

Grand Stand Pizza

Franklin Park, 60131
Reviews:
Best Double Dough pizza in the area! It is delicious! We love getting our pizza from Grand Stand. They have fair prices, quick delivery times (always say 45 mins, but usually between 30-40 mins) and a nice local establishment to support!
Hands down the best thin crust pizza around. Chicago is a deep dish city but it does have some decent thin crust options. Grand Stand is by far the best them all. The pizza stays intact while it being eaten, unheard of with inferior thin crusts. The cheese is flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning, and of course the crust. Flawless is the only word that could do it justice. The perfect amount of pliability and crunch with a hint of flour dusted over it. The meat toppings are fresh and not too salty and compliment each pizza. The staff is delightful, you don't need to be a regular to feel you're getting the extra service. As the name states, it's more of a stand than a restaurant. Seating is available although not abundant. The extra space is needed for the kitchen to create their masterpieces. If you need a thin crust fix, Grand Stand is the only place I would recommend. It's easy to get to and is definitely worth the trip.
I always grub hub this place, always ! Pizza is pretty good and the chicken Caesar wrap is amazing. The chicken salad was disappointing though. Delivery is quick and staff is friendly. I would give them 5 stars but the phone service is unbearable. Sometimes you are on hold for minutes at a time and have to listen to elevator music or some sort of background noise. So annoying that the first few times I called I thought I called the wrong number. To avoid all that grub hub is the way to go

Underpass

9400 W Grand Ave
Franklin Park, 60131
Reviews:
Fantastic burgers, good deals on booze, and nice ambiance. I could go on and on about their great food or $2 pints (errday!), but long story short, Underpass far exceeds expectations. I feel like it's time for another episode of........ ~The Sticky Fingers Challenge~ Competitor: Underpass Menu Item: "Hotter than a motherf*cker" chicken wings (yes, that's how it's printed on the menu) Highlights: pervasive, searing, instantaneous heat; blue cheese and celery Verdict: 3.5 out of 4 screaming skulls Bottom Line: GOOD GOD. What maniac would coat chicken wings in this diabolical sauce fashioned from the mysterious 'ghost pepper'? Probably a maniac like me. Good flavor at the inset, and intense, unforgiving heat every moment thereafter. Simply eating them is a physical struggle. It's very difficult not to ask for a glass of milk or cup of lime wedges while eating. Those not accustomed to spicy food should use EXTREME CAUTION. Those used to spicy food should still exercise EXTREME CAUTION. Y'all have been warned. Amber is super sweet and attentive, taking great care of us 'regulars' (sidenote: I'm officially a "regular" someplace, wooooo!) Did I mention they feature $2 pints every day of the week? So cool.
I've beem here several times, but last night was the first time we actually ordered food. We ordered a steak quesadilla holy sh!t was that thing amazeballs. I can't even describe it, but it was pure awesomeness in our mouths. We also ordered miches. They were so delicious we were takin em down. It wasn't overly packed nor was it overly loud. I was slightly confused tho how they went from rap to country lol not that I'm complaining I equally love both genres. They're getting 4 stars tho because they overcharged us. We were too tired to argue about the discrepancy, but if they hadn't had 3 different people serve our table the confusion probably wouldn't have happened.
Been awhile since I reviewed this place, and just wanted everyone to know, nothing has changed.......Love this place! $1 Taco Tuesdays and food/drink specials every day! Awesome Waffle fries and jalapeno poppers! They just added Video Gaming and in the next month or so are opening a Sandwich Shop next door! Check their Facebook Group for Daily Specials and Special Events!

I love to meet with friends here when I am back in town. It is a nice, quiet atmosphere for talking and catching up with old friends. The food is very good. We often get baked clams and salads. Their creamy garlic dressing is about the best I've ever had. Very flavorful. The staff is friendly and efficient. As good as this place is, it is never very crowded when I go. Would highly recommend.
Buffet food was cold and had to ask to order the food from the menu. When the food arrived it was cold and tasted terrible. Manager was extremely rude. Don't waste your time or money.
Debated between 1 and 2 stars. Decided on 2 because the thin crust has a nice crunch to it. But then I went back to 1 because of the salad. There's just no excuse for it. Ordered the thin crust special (sausage, mushroom, green pepper, and onion) and although I appreciate the fresh ingredients I found the sauce to be really bland. Even the cheese had no flavor to it. Also ordered an antipasto salad which was disgusting. The veggies were ok-no brown wilted portions although they did give me the core/stem of the romaine so thanks for that. The reason it was disgusting is because the meats were gray!! Really? Totally grossed me out. That alone will keep me from ordering ever again.

We stop in often. Food is exceptional. You got to try the Ruben balls. They are awesome. We really like the live entertainment. Great neighborhood place.
Great local bar! The staff is great, super friendly. Drinks and food are awesome. They always have good bands, karaoke (who doesn't love drunk karaoke?!), and a fun interactive juke box where you can find any song imaginable. I highly recommend Mike O'Donnell's if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a laid back good time:)
