Had the smoked ribs special last Friday, as did most of the other patrons. They were meaty and the house BBQ sauce was yummy!! The scallop and bacon appetizer was also delicious. Nice, friendly staff. Neat atmosphere. Great food and reasonable prices. I will definitely return!

Crave is a great new restaurant in Farmington IL. that is the beginning of an upscale revitalization of the downtown shopping area. The food is very good and reasonably priced with great drinks and Brunch on Sunday's. My favorite is the dry rubbed chicken wings and the southern biscuits and gravy. The malted martini is a great sweet beginning of any great dinner here.

This place is a great hometown American style restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and the surroundings were a mix of country chic and modern. Made it a fun venue. For being a small, family owned restaurant they had a great selection of wine and pasta. The only complaint is that service was slow. They only had one server on staff and that server had about 6 tables that evening. The food took about an hour, which isn't horrible. I would come back, but expect to be there for a while. An excuse to have another glass of wine!

If you like delicious food made from fresh ingredients, then you'll like Crave. I ended up eating here twice in 24 hours! I split the Chicken Parmesan on my first visit and was glad I did. The portion was enormous and came with pasta and two pieces of garlic bread. Lunch the next day was smaller, but my Italian beef was packed with flavor. They did an amazing job restoring the old building. The outside of the restaurant is painted with clever color combinations and the inside looks just as cute with exposed brick, tin ceilings and the bar separated from the dining room. As a former Farmington resident, I am thrilled that Crave is part of the downtown revitalization project. Can't wait to go there the next time I'm in town!

I had the special of the day which was build your own burger. It took longer than usual for it to come out. And I wasn't very pleased with the burger. They put too many diced onions mixed in with the meat. It was unbearable. The four cheese mac & cheese was pretty good though. Wait staff and getting the food out quicker could use some work.

Went for Sunday brunch and was quite pleased with the offerings. Drove from Havana and will do it again soon. Something for everyone and plenty of it. Enjoyed the creativity and quality of the selections. While breakfast can be somewhat routine at many places this was a nice mix of hot and cold, sweet and savory. The sausage links must have been a specialty item because you cant buy them that nice in any store around here...even here in hog country. Top quality bacon as well. A fresh vegetable salad and fresh fruit salad added a touch of healthiness while enjoying the wonderful individual quiche/baked eggs like you might see at a top resort brunch. A bit of breakfast brunch a bit of savory lunch and classy deserts to finish. My only disappointment was that people havent discovered this because I really enjoy having crowds of people around at a hopping place but for now go while you can still get in! We will be back next month for the once a month brunch while supporting this class act in the making...

I ordered the French Dip sandwich for lunch. When the waitress brought it,I had to ask her where the other half was??? $7.95 for that plus fries that were overcooked & tasteless. They served the ketchup in a metal shot size cup,not enough for 3 fries, had to ask for more,so they bring 2 more little shot cups???!!!! My friend had a hand breaded tenderloin. It was overcooked & tasteless. Farmington is a small town. They are charging big city prices for small quantities & poor quality. Crossed that restaurant off my list!!!!

This was my first visit here. I ordered the chicken marsala, which was covered with mushrooms over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and served with fresh green beans. It was delicious. It's probably the best Chicken Marsala I have ever tasted. The spinach salad was also delicious, and was served with hot dressing. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our service was very quick and efficient. I look forward to going back and tasting more items on their menu. Everything looked delicious as it was being served. The presentation was perfect! For those who complained that it wasn't enough food, it was PLENTY. I wasn't able to finish my entree and neither was my dinner guest.

Food is great. Onion rings are amazing. The menu lacks variety and creativity and the portions are a little bit small. The wait staff is ok.

Just what the area needs...great atmosphere and food made like someone cares. Unlike the previous reviewer, I was full after half my portion and had to pack it up. I think Midwest portions are way too huge.

New and evolving. Food is good tasting. Had a steak that put the other local supper club to shame. Menu is a little thin. Would expect to see more of the owners on a quiet night. Wife's sandwich came on a roll the was a bit over the top.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
