Great starbucks! I was passing thru, friendly engaged employees... sandwich in stock. Bright and cheery. Convenient off the interstate. Instant refill of cream when they ran out. Nice job Effingham starbucks. Your city's name is silly!

For the only Starbucks in the middle of nowhere for hundreds of miles around, and the only one from Chicago to Little Rock on the I-57, this place was super-speedy and efficient. (Unlike other similar nowhere Starbucks where the line is a half hour long, like the one from LA to Bakersfield on the 5 in Lebec.) What a godsend! By the way, Starbucks, why don't you make an Effingham, IL Starbucks mug? You would sell a gazillion of those.

The iced mocha with caramel is great! There is a girl named Serena there that was so nice and friendly and very easy on the eyes. She also did great with the coffee. Would definitely go back to this Starbucks

I came here on my way to Columbia, MO from Indianapolis, IN. I stopped to charge my phone after a panic-inducing near phone death, with about a 3 hour drive still ahead of me. You see, I exclusively travel by the guidance of Google Maps (learning to read a map properly is on my bucket list), or else I get lost. Sad, but true. This store is spacious, clean, and I had no trouble finding an outlet. I am in love with their La Boulange selection! I'm feeling envious of Chicago-area Starbucks customers (apparently this area is a major test market for new products). The baristas here were SO friendly and happy to recommend pastries and talk about the product selections I didn't recognize. I used to work for Starbucks...so I get excited about these things, even they're not destined for my tummy :) The almond croissant is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend it.

I am going to have to say this was the best Starbucks experience ever, seeing as it was quick!!! Even after waiting behind 3 people ordering various sizes of basically coffee, milk and sugar under the guise of The italian influenced Starbucks talk. In and out with an iced coffee and a couple of scones in 2 minutes. Seriously a record!!!!!

Perfect location, Effingham off the I-70 between St Louis and Indiana. Easy on off and if you have time to eat at firefly grill just a stone's throw down the road, it's totally worth the stop. Great place to stay overnight.

it's not frequent you see a SB establishment that focuses on drive-thru service like this one and yet accessible inside as well: i love it. when it's spitting some nasty rain outside and you don't want to leave the warmth of your vehicle to brace the cold to get your brew, check this place out. it was a godsend during a road trip this weekend and i could not be happier. the girl at the window was efficient and sweet (saying, "i love your doggie," looking at my back window at my golden retriever), got our orders under a few minutes, and it was EXACTLY what we ordered. i will come back when we drive through indiana to head back to the midwest this january. it really doesn't get any better than this: SB i heart you, your service, and your foresight on putting this place up along a very busy interstate.
