Had heard about this place from an employee who worked here. Kept begging me to try it and promised I wouldn't be disappointed. He was right. Had the pulled pork and rib combo with Mac and cheese and baked beans. Ribs were dry rubbed and fall off the bone tender. Pulled pork was moist and almost too tender. Mac and cheese was delicious, baked beans average. 4 homemade BBQ sauces to choose from. The Carolina Comfort was mustardy and great. Similar to an old favorite I had found in FL and had been unable to find in IL. My husband liked the Kansas City Red sauce. We got both bottles to go for $5 a piece and they came in a squeeze bottles with cap. Complimentary serving of their homemade potato chips rounded out the meal. Will definitely go back. I have a feeling if they were located closer to the highway (I55), or advertised along it, they would of been packed. Great meal and reasonably priced!

    1) A rude female took our order and was obviously annoyed. She rolled her eyes and sighed several times while making our plates. We gave her no reason to be so irritated with us. 2) Brisket should NOT be chewey and stretchy!!! Especially brisket claiming to be "Texas brisket". I can make a better brisket anyday without all the regular smoking and bbq tools. 3) Sides were weird. There are no "typical" sides which I find odd. They may not feel the need for them, to each their own. Overall, with all the hype over this place, I expected to really like it. I was incredibly let down.

Had the gun slinger, and everything was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpfull. The brisket baked beans are a must, brisket was juicy and very flavorfull. The ribs are dry rub with plenty of sauces available, but they don't need it! The potatoe salad was ok, and the sausage was over done

Wow! I wish there was BBQ this good by my house. We were on our way to ISU, and pulled off at 47 and found this place. Hubble had the brisket andI had a special brisket & pulled pork topped with creamy coleslaw. Slaw was delish and the brisket beans were awesome. This will be a must stop - plate lickin' good!

Welcome surprise to see a BBQ place in small town IL. The restaurant's tasteful design obviously looks like it was carefully thought out from someone who's been around the restaurant scene. Loved the brisket & ribs with their 5 kinds of BBQ sauce! Staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Tried the Mac n' cheese and potato chips and will come back to try the other sides.

This is a great find in the cute little town of Dwight, which for too long has been short on dining options. The food was delicious, and I like that they have a variety of sauces for you to choose from on the tables, so you can try different sauces and settle on your favorite. The sides were tasty and everything was as it should be in a classic barbecue joint. I will recommend that as this place gets established, they should think about expanding their dessert selections and perhaps offering homemade cobblers and pies. We will be back!

Delicious BBQ! When you walk in, the smoker is right behind the counter and the smell is to die for...and it tastes even better!! I got the half chicken, which was recommended. For my sides I chose the slaw and apples, but through a confusion they gave me the beans. Both were very good. As for the chicken: AMAZING! Tender, succulent, delicious! Often, chicken is over-smoked and all you can taste is smoke. This had a nice balance of smoke and juiciness. Even without the sauces (which are very good) the chicken stands on it's own very well. The brisket was also very good, which usually I am picky with. The Cherry Red sauce is good, great blend of kick and sweet. Good BBQ overall and I will definitely be back!

I've been here quite a few times now & I have to say this is some of the best BBQ I've had. My favorite has always been the ribs, smoked over apple/cherry woods. SO tender & full of great, smoky flavor. I also really like the pulled pork. What I'm starting to become OBSESSED with is their Thursday night (after 5 pm) Golden Wings. Only $4.00 per pound & a delicious, sweet flavor, they are downright addictive. The owner (Duncan) & his great staff have created quite a gem in downtown Dwight.

Amazing BBQ right off I-55. We had brisket and 1/4 rack rib combo. Plenty for two with sides. The sides are as outstanding as the meat - unbelievably. This place is a find. Meat is tender, moist and packed with flavor. Potato salad is firm, cold, mustardy with enough mayo to bind. Coleslaw has a tang, not the sweet gloppy sauce we run into too often. The broccoli cauliflower salad has ranch dressing and bacon. Tooth tender and just right. The bun with the brisket was moist and just right to absorb one of the five BBQ sauce choices. Cornbread was also worthy. This place is worth a side trip. Service was warm and efficient. They sell sauces to go but we couldn't indulge as we weren't checking bags. Open six months. Home run!

Got the pulled pork. Good meat. Good sides. Quick. Worth the extra 5 minute drive off the highway.

Really good barbeque, highly recommend. Portions are large, the sides are good and there is consistent quality for the most part. Biggest variation is the ribs, which my husband orders frequently. 1/2 the time fall off the bone tender and juicy, 1/2 the time more difficult to eat and get off the bone. Always tasty though. Pulled pork, chicken and beef always reliably delicious. Try the brisket beans, I'm not a fan of baked beans, but these are amazing. Homemade chips are very good, and the husband loves their green beans.

Great Food, Great Service! We went at lunch on a Friday. We got the slider kids meal, pork combo, and two of use split the full rack of ribs. We all walked away full and very pleased with our meal.

The food was wonderful. I suggest the ultimate. You get to try everything and there's enough for 2-3 people on it.
