If this place was closer I would be here all the time. I stumbled upon it by accident and it was a GREAT find. It was a late mid afternoon and I was the only customer. I had a difficult time choosing the coffee flavor and menu item. SO many good choices! I got the Barista. I didn't have room for desert so I will have to go back! The staff was friendly and I felt like a regular. They were prepping for the next day but that didn't hinder them from talking to me about the place and the food.

I wanted a nice sit down breakfast this morning after finishing at the gym. The one thing that I do not like about Our House Café is you have to get your own coffee even when you eat in the place. A waitress told me she would be with me shortly, I guess we both have different ideas of shortly. This is why this place did not get 5 stars. The waitress was extremely slow. I asked what type of quiche and she was very short with her answer. I got the spinach quiche and fruit cup. It was very tasty, but I whenever I wanted a coffee refill I had to keep getting up. This got a little old. Nice place, good food, great coffee, average service.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Columbia, I love their breakfast burritos and quiche. Our Coffee House also has a delicious variety of coffee and iced coffee drinks. The only reason that I give them 4 stars is because their service is not the quickest, but it's a cafe, so I usually go when I am looking for good food and I'm not in a big rush.

My family has been going to Our House pretty regularly for over a year now. Sadly, over the last few months the service isn't as good as it once was. Food is good, coffee drinks are good, but one server we seem to get more and more often just isn't top notch service. Most recent visit was not at a busy time when we arrived, we received our menu but no offer to take drink orders. 10 min later after a family was greeted for to go orders and two more tables were seated did we get a follow up for our order. 10 min later we watched the other two tables get their drinks. We never observed the server ask the other tables how their food was or even offer to take dirty dishes. We finally got our drinks, but she for got our child's drink, now 20 min after we walked in the door. Food was coming out but it was for the to go orders that should have been placed after ours and the other tables. Now everyone is looking around like, where is the food.. How much longer? Never any communication from the server. One guy actually left. Finally the food arrived 40 min after walking in the door and she never came by until we were almost done and after we had to find a spoon on the counter for the kid to eat her applesauce. If we come back, it will be because of a good breakfast but to be taken home. I just can't tip for service like this anymore.

Living in Columbia I feel compelled to review my local business, so right now, thats what I am doing... Lets start with the biscuits and gravy, yessssss they are certainly some of the best around (not as good as mine) but some of the best I've had... we frequent here often for breakfast because its reasonably priced and the food is great...if you're looking for something quick, this is not the place to go... the breakfast potatoes could also be a little warmer when they come out, but in all fairness this is seriously one of the best places in Columbia..... I've never had there lunch so this is strictly a breakfast review- and if you're there, a MUST try is the Frozen Hot Chocolate... (oxymorronnn, i know) but wooooooo woooo is it GOOD! I've seen many locals come in JUST to order it... So two things, the biscuits and gravy and a frozen hot chocolate -- see I just ordered for you, now all you have to do is go! Just not if you're in a hurry.

The best biscuits and gravy I've ever had! Tender, homemade biscuits with a very flavorful sausage gravy. A few words about their desserts: you MUST try them! We had the wedding cheesecake which was traditional cheesecake on the bottom with a top layer of vanilla buttercream frosting -- it was amazing! On another visit I had the triple chocolate cheesecake and it was so good they would have a line out the door if they offered it daily! Chocolate cookie crumb crust, rich chocolate cheesecake, and chocolate buttercream swirls at the outer edge. It was very high (tall) and beautiful which is difficult to achieve when making your own cheesecake (I've tried). The desserts change frequently so call ahead to check availability if this is what you're coming for.

I've known about this establishment for awhile, but I seldom venture into Columbia during breakfast hours. So while passing through town during "open" hours we stopped in for coffees and breakfast. The short story is the price was great, the coffees were flavorful and the breakfast was very satisfying. Our House Cafe is an appropriate name because the staff and owner made us feel like we were at home. Locals literally walk in which only adds to the very homey feel for this cafe. They have a lot of tables inside and a good size patio to use when the weather permits, as it did on our visit. We were the only table outside and not long after we sat down they turned on their patio speakers for background music. Nice touch. The owner came out and greeted us before we left to share her upcoming plans to expand into the dinner hours. It always fun to meet a passionate owner that loves to talk about their restaurant. I will visit again and update this review with hopefully more good news.

Awsome food and friendly and attentive service. Great place for a leisurely lunch, not fast, but not too slow either. Took my daughter here for lunch before she left town. We both ordered paninis, can't remember what they were called, but hers was the Italian one, and mine was the chicken with pesto and red peppers, and they were both very tasty. We swapped halves, and flavor wise, I prefered mine just slightly, but hers held up a bit better while eating though, as the peppers kept wanting to slip out of mine. The cup of potato soup was a little on the thick side, but delicious and perfectly seasoned. Definitely one of the best places for food in Columbia. After reading some of the other reviews, I've decided I need to try them for breakfast!
