So, how did we not know this place existed after like 4 years in this area? WTF? OPEN LATE. AWESOME DAILY SPECIALS. I MUST USE CAPS. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Bread. Butter. Oil. Parm. Soup/salad. I had this provolone stuffed chicken breast((s) there were two) thingamobob with Vesuvio potatoes (technical name: Chicken Pompeii) and it was fabulously delicious. The Hub had ribs...which, BTW, are the Monday special. Awesome. Food so so good. Service also good. Decor...place has been open since 1959...you figure it out. Easy parking, open late, great food, older than you. You go now. aaaaaand...bottle of Ruffino Chianti: $23. TWENTY THREE. HELLo.

I've been going to Al's since I was a kid and the three things that always bring me back are: The delicious food, great ambiance and friendly staff. I love the baked clams and the lasagna is too die for!

I don't really know what to say. I don't usually eat pizza, but everytime I've had it, it has tasted better than Al's. Husband loves pizza and he agreed on the 2 star rating. We ordered delivery and had it 40 minutes later. I also ordered a large house salad that was a big disappointment. I asked for green peppers and got pepperoncini instead. I asked for cucumber and got exactly one slice. The onion was overwhelming and the tomatoes were tasteless. Back to the pizza. It was greasy and had a weird taste to it. Like one of the ingridients had freezer burn. I liked that it wasn't totally covered in sauce and the thin crust was crunchy. That's about it. The medium pizza is kind of small and comes with a hefty price tag.

We just bought a house in nearby Berwyn, and were on the hunt for a good local restaurant that we could become regulars at. We found it!! The service is fantastic. The food is amazing. 2 people in my group had the Giambatta which was worth the 25 minute wait (which you are warned about upfront). 2 people had the Chicken Pompeii, which was so so tasty. I had the daily special Spaghetti Primavera, it was so flavorful!! The portions are huge so you can easily eat half and be stuffed and take the rest home for tomorrow, but its so good that you'll have a hard time stopping. I'm looking forward to regular visits and trying everything on the menu.

It's so unfortunate that I'm giving Al's such a negative review only because my entire family and I were such loyal customers since I can remember! I mean we had several family weddings in their hall, attended Easter brunch every year there, ordered pizza and dined in too! That was til one day I decided to treat two of my aunts to lunch there. This happened in May 2010. Since I just started yelping, this was definitely one of the first places I had to review. Anyway, so in a nutshell, everything was going ok, I had just signed my credit card receipt and waiting for my aunts to finish their coffee when suddenly in the corner of my eye I saw something move so fast, I turned to look and sure enough there was a huge mouse scurrying in our direction! And as soon as I saw it, being the girly girl I am, I staredt screaming and standing on the seat. As do my aunts who saw it also right after they saw me freak out. Ok so here's where it really gets interesting...so as soon as we start screaming the thing starts running the other way as fast as he can, and this entire time it's funny how NOBODY IS TO BE FOUND. Not our server, no one from the kitchen even bothered, or hostess. The only others in the dining room were two other ladies who were also standing on their seats as well! Everyone who worked there must have known what we were screaming about and maybe just too embarrassed to come out and apologize or whatever. Or maybe they were scared we were going to ask them to comp our meal (which we definitely were.) Who knows. Point is no employee ever came back to the dining room for about 10 minutes after the thing left our sight. So immediately we were all so mad. We're thinking how convenient after we pay, they obviously hear us screaming and don't bother to come out and check on us. This was very very surprising and in turn I was disgusted so we left. THEN...I immediately get on the phone and ask to speak to the restaurant manager. The hostess immediately says they are busy can they call me back. I said YES and gave her my name, number and told her I was just there and had to watch a mouse scurry all over the dining room like it's a very common thing. She said ok she'll have them call me back. I let one day pass and I never heard back from anybody. So I called again and told her my name and purpose, and STILL no call back. After a week of trying to get someone on the phone, I finally gave up and vowed never to go back. Since that day, my entire family including myself have never gone back. All I wanted was to tell them my complaint and how after I ate I felt disgusted by seeing that rat or whatever you wanna call it, all over their room. I don't care what anyone says, I did deserve an apology for the way the staff just disappeared and for just being so dirty like that. I wanted my meal comp'd and an apology, I mean come on! We've been such loyal customers for so long. Anyway, I don't care how much I liked it before, because all I think about now is I can't imagine if that's how it is in their dining room, can you imagine what it's like in their kitchen?! Sick. If you don't mind bumping into a few mice here and there while you're eating, then this place is for you. lol

After going to Paisans in Berwn AND LEAVING W/OUT EATING THERE (see my review for that dump), my girlfriend and I went Al's. We have been there before and it is always delicious. It's not that fancy, it;s old school, but the food is good. My girlfriend had pizza which she said was delicous and we had left overs and I ate a couple slices the next day and yes it was deicious. While there I ordered a steak and it was very delicious as well. Also, friendly attentive staff. When we were there before I believe I had ravioli or some sort of pasta dish and that was also very very delicious.

Three words: Uncle. Bobby's. Pizza. This pizza, let me tell you. What a magnificent display of melding flavor profiles into a pizzarific masterpiece. The olives. The bacon, the jalapeños. The cheese. And when you're done, the bacon the fell on the box. Is it healthy? Hell No! It hits the delicious greasy, salty, spicy pizza spot though. Oh man. I want this now. Even though the crust is well done, it still gets a tad soggy, but who cares. Order this pizza.

I just have to say that Al's really disappointed me tonight. My wife and I ordered a spaghetti dinner and a chicken parmesan sandwich which the spaghetti was good like always but the chicken parmesan was dry and overcooked. The bread was burnt and the fries were not all that great. The food was bad enough but to top it off I noticed on my receipt I was charged $3.00 for butter packets that comes with the bread. When I called I asked for butter with my bread and the guy answering the phone asked me how many I would like so I said okay give me 4 packets. When I called to complain the manager said that was what they charged and he was sorry. You should be ashamed of yourselves Al's Pizza. Not sure if I'll be back. Doubt it.

Let me just say that the family pack they sell here is a great deal. The football pizza with pasta and hot wings for about $50 is so good. The wings are probably my favorite part. They are huge and crsipy and I love the sauce. You also get a free pop.

Al's is terrific, it is the best place on Cermak to dine with friends and eat great Italian food. Their banquet hall is beautiful. The staff there are all friendly and care about the service they provide. I usually only ever order pizza from Al's. They have got specials on Tuesday. I've gone to a few events there and I must admit I had fun. I never have fun anywhere but they've created an incredible atmosphere. They have a great bar, and if your in a slump it's a terrific place to go for a pick me up.

We order from there all the time. There Monday half price pizza was awesome until today. I have 5 kids and we ordered two football Pizza. The first one was a cheese and the cheese was stuck to the roof of the pizza. So I called there and they said they would replace that pizza to eat the other one in the meantime. Well I open that pizza and it was supposed to be half sausage due to the fact I'm the only one that likes sausage but to my surprise the whole pizza was sausage. So I called back and got the manager on the phone who told me that they we're going to replace both pizzas add another 45 minutes... Well that's not going to work because my kids need to go to bed I have work in the morning and now we all have to smell pizza in our kitchen while we're hungry.. This is cruel to children.. this will be the last time we order pizza from Al in Cicero

Ordered a pizza that was delivered undercooked. I called Al's to rectify the situation, to which they said they would give me a store credit only after they came and picked up the undercooked pizza. So that night I got no pizza, and I did not get my money back. I had them pick up their pizza, and I never returned. SO in my experience: Poor quality, Poor customer service.

THEY'RE PIZZA IS THE BOMB. ALWAYS GET AL'S. Late delivery is nice too, not many places are open that late with really good food at least. Beef is different but really good.

Bad food and customer service! We ordered from the al's in Cicero,il and one order was wrong the other was swimming in sauce for five pieces of pasta and we received burnt pizza bread. I called to explain and I got transferred a few times and then the manger tells me it's better to have more sauce than none ( which is true but I had soup instead of sauce) and then she places me on hold. When she picked the phone back up she said she didn't have time to talk to me because she was busy....I'm sorry if you can't handle customers who are not happy you won't be busy very soon.

  • nessa m.

This pizza is delicious! We usually get the Mondays special (50%off any pizza) and I have no complains about it! It's cheesy and the sauce is great! I haven't really tried too many items on the menu so I'll move on to customer service.... which is just OK. They aren't really friendly, the ladies usually just tell you your total, you pay and when your order is up they give it to you... The end. No "thank you's" no "have a nice days." And if you are ordering on Monday expect anywhere from 45-90 min. for your order. They get so busy! Phones are always ringing in there. Also I ordered a 2 liter of Pepsi when I picked up my pizza and wow! $3! Eekkk. Just a tip:: customer service needs to improve but overall a great and delicious place to order your pizza from!

Can't say we had a good experience. Have been coming here for years. But today's Easter Brunch was horrible. The spread was eh. The eggs benedict was gross. The pasta station, Alfredo sauce was too watered down. The pizza was dry. The pastries looked tempting but dried out and not flavorful. Nor were they named. People with food allergies stay AWAY. All the food was cold. My dad's water had something flying in it. The mimosas tasted like Sunny Delight. The only thing I could actually eat was the ham. Didn't bother me too much that it was cold. The Easter Buffet price has gone up $6.00 dollars. This experience will change our view on this place. Will NOT be back next year.

After many years of ordering from here, I can say we will never Order from here again. Monday is half off pizza. Today, they took 1hour and 35 minutes to deliver. When the delivery man arrived, he rang the door bell once, and immediately started pounding on my door non stop. As I opened the door I kindly suggested to him to please just ring the door bell rather than knocking uncontrollably next time. He responded to me that he did rang the door bell and I told him he didn't even allow a minute to go by before he started pounding. He was very rude and told me he didn't do anything wrong. I ended up calling Al's and requested to speak to a manager. I spoke to Brad. He was very very unprofessional and before I could even explain the reason of my call, he said he knew I was calling to ask why the pizza took so long and to give them a break.. He said to me "what do you expect I have a lot of orders" I told him that wasn't the reason why I was calling, I told him the situation about the driver/delivery man.. Brad, the manager then said to me to call him when he's not busy to complain. You can hear people swearing in the background. Very sad that they will start to lose their customers if they continue to be this rude and unprofessional. Pizza is delicious, however this time it came in cold.

Pizza is standard. Ordered house salad 4.00 came with 2 cherry tomatoes and one cucumber. Also 3 dollar two liter rude customer service. Hire better people to answer ur phones. Stop nickel and diming your customers what I ordered came close to 30 dollars and I was only a large pizza.

Last night we had the stuffed pizza delivered, it was by far the worse pizza I have ever tasted. The ground beef/sausage tasted horrendous, the sliced pepperoni was thick and dark and the crust was mediocre.. It tasted how it looked just awful. Also we ordered the "garlic bread", and we received buttered bread. How can they possibly mess that up...

Blackhawks game 4. All we wanted was Al's pizza. Walked 2 miles with my pal to get it fresh plus one beer. I have had this pizza in the past and liked it a lot. We were really looking forward to eating at the bar. Showed up, within one minute were told by the bartender we were not allowed to get a beer. High expectations for eating there for the first time after many take out orders. Bartender told us we could cancel our order and leave. We did that and will never go back.

The most annoying pizza deluverh I've ever experience . We ended up having our money refunded bc we lost our appetite . Called the Kitchen manager and told him our story and he said. .. " oh it probebly wasent cooked all the way through ..". Gross def will not be a returning customer or recommending this pizzeria to anyone .

5 to 7 years ago these guys were really good. They have went totally downhill. The food went from a nine or ten to a three or four. I mean, I used to order from them three times a week. I haven't ordered from them in two years. Total neglect when it comes to quality. They should be ashamed! Rubbery, buttery clams?!?!?! You used to have the best clams around. Absolutely nasty seafood pasta dishes?!?! Eff you!!! Maybe if you win the lottery you can afford they're overpriced desserts. On the bright side they always had good meatballs. If you want to meatball sandwich go there. That's about it. They have a whole brick-and-mortar business with a gigantic kitchen and all their good for is a meatball sandwich.

Let me start out by saying I will never recommend this establishment to anyone. Their food was delicious and service was great. However management on the otherhand was horrific. I do not boast military discount however I do ask when at a restaurant when I'm told yes then be told no sorry manager doesn't allow it. You are not a chain you are a mom and pop shop who decides whether or not to give a discount. Inform your service staff that you choose not to give a military discount because you dont want to. My family was very upset that your server said yes then said my manager said no. It is just sad. Uncle Bobby is also very cold person.

Ordered wings and pizza, took a while but wasn't an excessive wait. Unfortunately, the wings delivered were the wrong kind and they were sending the right ones. Because the kids were hungry, they began eating pizza and wings delivered but when the correct wings came, they said they needed the wrong wings back. Because the kids ate them, they refused to correct their mistake and didn't leave the correct order. Talk about terrible customer service!! Because they needed the old wings, makes me think they would have used them to fulfill another order. Pretty disgusting and I'll never order from them again. Would recommend you don't either!

I have eaten here many times and had a pleasurable experience. Today however, we had food delivered to my work. Taco pizza no giardinara, no black olives, linguine with vodka sauce & breaded mushrooms. When the food arrived, we noticed that the Styrofoam container with the mushrooms was partially melted and deformed. I went to eat one of the mushrooms and it was soggy. The cheese on the pizza was rubbery, the linguine was Fine. As a part of a service industry, I thought i was doing the right t thing by calling to let them know that this time the food was not up to the normal Standard of their restaurant. My call was received by a nice lady who did her best to apologize and find out if there was anything she could do to rectify the situation. As she was speaking to me I could hear another lady in the background saying "give them $ 5.00, just $ 5.00" I was perfectly happy with the apology that was given and my assumption that the situation would improve on my next order until I heard the person in the background say that. I was not looking for money, I was not looking for new food, I just wanted them to have an opportunity to correct the situation before our next order. I decided to bring the food back and I asked for Lisa, who I know to be one of the owners, she was not there. A man came to hear my complaint and did nothing but argue with me. He seem to think the my complaint was unjustified and proceeded to give me a list of ingredients and reasons why the pizza cheese was rubbery and the mushrooms soggy. He said "this pizza uses american cheese" and the mushrooms are soggy because they were delivered not eaten in." It is EXTREMELY Disappointing that after six years of having their food delivered once every two weeks I was treated with disrespect and talked to like a child. When I realized that I was not being heard, I threw out the name of my boss and the name of his boss who know each other and both own restaurants, only then did he start to listen. It shouldn't take name dropping to get treated as an important customer.

I once ordered here and got a plastic sheet of cheese rapping paper in my pizza... Went in the pizza restaurant and saw so much filth in the back... I know the pizza sometimes is good I just have questions about its sanitation since I worked in the town and found out that because of political reasons Al's isn't inspected as often as other restaurants....

We usually LOVE this place but when I ordered online and the restaurant didn't have my item available, they didn't even bother to call. The girl "Leslie" on the phone was the RUDEST person in the hospitality business that I've ever had to deal with! She came out and said, "IT'S NOT OUR FAULT" and proceeded to put me on hold for 10 minutes for the manager. I had to call back! I will think twice about EVER ordering from there again!

I use to love this place for all Italian food craving. I just don't know what happen recently, but the food quality is abysmal. Lately, their food is either very dry, bland and overcook. I wish everything back to where it was. I feel sad and disappointed.

Wow...I grew up in that area so Al's was a frequented place for me and my friends. Last night I celebrated my 50th birthday in the old hood with my Best childhood friend(her bday just prior) and son and of course we wanted Al's. So disappointing. Ok..the baked clams are genuine off the charts delicious.I am so thrilled that they haven't changed that recipe. The service and friendliness of staff is also superior. Decent salad bar...old school perfection...love the chilled Calamari salad.. But the entree's...yikes My son ordered the Salmon Oscar..which u know is served with crab...yea...FAKE CRAB... and the Salmon was severely overcooked. I had ordered the Zuppe de Pesce , which was Scallops , Shrimp ,Calamari Crab legs and Clams in a red sauce over Angel hair. and omg...HORRIBLE. Every piece of seafood was cooked to death...tough shrimp..chewy squid..rubbery scallops...horrible fishy small 2 inch pieces of crab legs in shell..boring sauce...just horrible. One of the clams had a broken shell..a sheared off large top shell portion which was still on my plate. huh? The minestrone soup I couldn't even eat. it tasted EXACTLY like Campbells alphabet soup and resembled it. My bestie ordered the Chicken Pompeii. Chicken Breast Stuffed w/ Provolone Cheese & Sautéed w/ Olive Oil & Fresh Garlic I didn't try this entree but did take notice that it was swimming in oil. yikes. So ok..can u just feel the disappointment in my type...this was Italian done so not right. I'll keep to the pizza next time if there even will be one. and those clams...amazing! Great service..Hugo is a dream..and they did buy me a birthday shot!! and we were given cheesecake for our birthday freebie...that was very cool.... Aside from that tho...I wouldn't recommend doing entrées at Als. Sorry..sad but true.

I'm a guy who is VERY PICKY about my Pasta. I'm 100% Italian (actually mostly Sicilian) when I say I'm Picky I mean it. This place has the best Pasta! I drive from Aurora just to have it. On top of that Unbelievable Stuffed Mushrooms, you haven't lived if you haven't had their mushrooms. Can't forget their Minestrone Soup, Madonna Mia! Atmosphere is alright nothing special. If you go there your going for food and you won't be disappointed mark it down! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

How can any pizza place justify charging .75 cents for a one ounce portion of crushed red peppers for your pizza. That is just plain takin the piss!!!! Won't order again from here

    (1)
  • Lizz C.

I wish I could give Al's more than five stars. This is literally the first place I had pizza. My grandma took my aunt and mom here when they were kids, and my family still gathers here to have meals at least once a month. I've literally only had one bad experience here, and it can't even come close to altering my opinion of Al's. Our pizza was overcooked one time, but they brought us out a new one and gave us a discount for having to wait. The sauce on the pizza is what makes Al's so unique. It's a sweeter sauce, and it is absolutely to die for. It makes the pizza so amazing and special. The atmosphere is nice and calm. I attribute a lot of that to the updates that have occurred. I loved the old Al's, but now it has an even better feel! You can't leave Al's unhappy. It isn't possible. Your waiter or waitress will make sure to have a conversation with you that will surely cheer you up!

Always loved their pizzas since i was little i used to live down the block. The only thing i dislike for here is the service. Oh my goodness, the ladys are SO RUDE. Everytime i go and pick pizza up they dont say thank you, and they give me attitude. But the pizza is awesome!

Went to Al's for hubby's birthday, the prime rib special of the day. I had the Chicken Marsala. Both were terrible. The prime rib was ordered medium rare but came comepletely brown & when we questioned it, the manager said, "Just turn it over", which of course made no difference. The Chicken Marsala came with a super-salty sauce that was sloshing around on the plate, NOT what I've had for 30+ years at other restaurants. SAD, because I have fond memories of going to Al's with friends in the 60's-70's, when it was a good time with good food & service. The pizza used to be good, too, but has been burnt the last few times we ordered take-out. We will never go back, or order from Al's again.

We haven't been here since the remodel and menu update, so I'm not sure how long that has been. This time we decided we should get the pizza. I'll admit I am not a thin crust person, but I also am not a "Chicago-style" lover either. I just like a double dough - something to hold the toppings. We got sausage, mushroom and black olive on ours and tried the salad bar while we waited. The salad bar is very small, but it had everything I would have wanted other than the odd lack of carrot sticks. The pizza was okay - a little too thin (burnt) for me and heavy on cheese for its thinness. Sauce was good, and the husband enjoyed it. Hugo, our server, was really excellent. He was handling multiple tables along with a larger party and many drink orders with no trouble. I'd definitely go back, as I like the food here from past visits. I'll just stick to entrees instead of pizza.

I have always ordered my pizza from Al's. It was always the go to spot never disappointed, until these past couple months. I have continued to order thinking maybe it was just this time the 1,000 other times were great. Well I've been let down far too often. I don't know if it's a new owner, cheaper ingredients, or just plain laziness. I've had pizza delivered cold, still raw and most recently smelling spoiled. I called explaining it smelled foul, woman over phone told me maybe the ingredients don't smell good together? (Sausage, mushroom and giardinera) So I asked for a new pizza with different ingredients if that's the case. She asked the manager and she said no I had to get same ingredients for reorder and to give the pizza back. OK, fine I agreed. An hour later I got the new pizza smelled great so I was optimistic the pizza however had only cheese! So fed up I didn't even want it anymore.... Just lost a frequent customer, will never recommend, and will spread the word.

Ordered from here through grubhub...order never came. At least not to me. The driver (supposedly some guy named David) went to the wrong house. He adamantly claimed that he delivered the order on time to a lady standing in front of her apartment. I live in a house. Did he even ask her name?? No, he just gave it to her...but don't worry, he can describe her in detail. A lot of good that does me. Al's - make sure you instruct your toolbox delivery people to actually verify the address and the name of the person they are supposed to deliver to. Otherwise, just drive down Cermack and throw hotdogs out the window. You basically did the same thing. What a weiner.

My 5 star review is merely based on the stuffed artichokes & baked clams @ the Al's Cicero location.....They both pretty much use the same type of breading, which consists of bread crumbs, garlic, Italian spices and BUTTER. Which is so moist and delicious. Definitely NOT dry and all, unlike most of all the other places that I have been to. No place else compares to Al's in Cicero, when it comes down to the baked clams & stuffed artichokes! Now, as for the pizza...I would definitely suggest eating the pizza at the restaurant ONLY, cause for some reason or another it never tastes as good when you get it delivered :-(

I understand that today we had a blizzard and it was terrible outside. I'm not basing this review on the timing. I wholeheartedly understood the conditions. This is based on the rude back and fourths with the staff in house. Not one but TWICE tonight they sent us the incomplete order. I ordered pasta, a calzone, pizza bread, cheesy sticks, and cannoli. The first time after two hours (understandably), I got only the cheesy sticks and calzone. I called and asked to get the remaining amount. She was short and said she would as soon as possible send someone out. An hr later they hadn't even sent my order out and finally said it's on their way after I called them again. Then when they arrive it's at the wrong house... And we meet them outside. We open and find our order is still incomplete... No cannoli.... Seriously? I called twice to repeat what I was missing. I called again to explain.. She said "Oh can we give you a credit?" SERIOUSLY? DO YOU THINK I WANT TO ORDER FROM YOU AGAIN? In these conditions you aren't being considerate of your staff or customers when you get an order wrong TWICE. "NO. Refund please." She said okay and hung up. Wow. Thanks. No apologies or anything. Rude staff taking advantage of their delivery crew. Guys, get out of there. I used to sing their praises.

Good food. Friendly staff. The meatballs and tiramisu are awesome. I cant leave without getting them. Giant tvs on one side if u want to watch a game and a quiet space on the other side if you're not into sports. Go.. eat... get the meatballs.

The only reason it gets a 2 is because my son liked the chicken parmesan. I ordered a beef sandwich that tastes spoiled, so only took 1 bite. The honey barbeque wings have an ok taste but are soggy and swimming in the sauce. I could handle 2. The can of coke however was perfect. I don't live far, so would have expected food to be hotter than just above Luke warm. Fries, soggy and tasted like freezer fries, and luckily they forgot an order, since the first batch wasn't eaten either. All in all this was no where near worth $50. Wishing I stuck with making hamburger helper.

Ok normally i will let things go ... But today was a bad day and this was the last straw .... Ok now bear in mind it was rougly2 - 3 weeks ago when the error happened ... And i dusted it off ... I have been eating out of this location for almost a year ... Decent food and nearby ... Win win right ... Wrong .... 2 - 3 weeks ago my wife and i ordered boneless wings ... What we got was the opposite ... Now the wings are good dont get me wrong ... That is not why im giving them A 1 STAR ... They get 1 star for their inability to provide good customer service ... My wife and i were gone for rougly a week ... So we come back ... Now they no longer have the special we once used to order ... So i tell the lady about their previous error ... Been eating from this place for a year and now im chopped liver? Where is the justice ... They messed up my order only a few weeks prior ... ... A good restaurant will have good food and a willingness to fix an error when they make one ... Attention to detail wouldnt have made that error to begin with ... But we are human right ... I gave Carl the chance to correct his mistake ... And he basically pointed the finger back at me ... For the mistake that they made ... They have lost me as a customer ... It was just wrong ... I would rather eat little ceasors than to eat from this wannabe ed debevics attitude bunch ... Im done ... If you makea mistake ... The customer is always right ... Remember that or you will lose alll of your customers ... I have such a dirty distane for this dive ... Good by forever ... Ech

The pizza is good. It has an authentic taste. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some good pizza. I ordered chicken wings and the sauce was great. One bad part about it though was that the chicken had hairs of the chicken still on it. It was so disgusting to see that. I just threw them all away. They need to do a better job at preparing the chicken before cooking and serving it... For pizza I give it 4 stars. For chicken wings I give it 2 stars.

I love this place. I loved it more back in the day with 70's style decor but they realized that they had to change to be more progressive and modernize in terms of the interior in the restaurant. Food wise, I love everything on their menu and how they execute their food. Just great traditional Italian food done well. Only down side sometimes can be when you call in orders, really depends on who is taking your order, I've been met with some incompetent folks while ordering over the phone, messing up my order but the reason why their awesome and why I will always be a fan is that their very considerate for making it up to their customers which is why this place rocks.

PISSED OFF. They didn't deliver all of the items I paid for. SO F'ING HUNGRY. But now it's too late because they are closed and I can't convince the guy to bring my food. So I guess I just lost? No money and no food. Go to hell.

Just got over 60 dollars of pasta, some kind of rigatoni was supposed to come with chicken, spinach, mushrooms. I paid for extra chicken in both orders. What I got was the amount of chicken you would find on a leg, shreded in thread size portions and canned mushrooms. SO disapointed, Also wrong dressing for the salad, I should have spelled French and i maybe would have receivd it. ALS doesnt care about quality. So sorry you dont care.

Been ordering pizza from Al's since moving to Berwyn in the late 90's. It's always consistant and delicious. Although I must say they always had great coupon deals and always included a few pops with your order but don't seem to be doing that anymore. I tend to order and pick up at the location in North Riverside more than this location now but it's still, great pizza!

Had a nice lunch today at Al's.I even recieved a complimentary goat cheese in marinara appetizer for checking in on Yelp.Sweeeet!!!! My food did take quite a bit to come out but the free appetizer made up for it.I've always enjoyed their pizza.Thats what Im most familiar with.Had their Zuppa de Pesce on my visit today and also really enjoyed it.Love their steaks as well.Next time I think Im going to try their buffet. My waitress mentioned it but I walked in knowing what I wanted already so NEXT TIME.

What happened to this place? This used to be my go-to for any pizza and pasta combination. This weekend's order of 40 dollars worth of food literally never showed up to my house, but you can bet my card was charged for it! Calls to the restaurant went unanswered. The driver never got in touch with me and I never heard from anyone. They have my information and I'm a repeat customer so none of that could be an excuse. By the three hour mark I decided to write about it here.

I have gone to Al's with mixed results on food, but I definitely won't be going back. I ordered from them from GrubHub, and apparently they called me twice after I sent the order to say that they couldn't send out the food because they didn't know if I was in a house or an apt. I didn't get the message for half an hour because I had ordered online and wasn't near my phone. It was a pain, but since a half an hour had already passed and they had said that they weren't sending the food, I decided to eat something at home instead and not wait another hour. About a half an hour later they did deliver the food. I declined it since I had eaten and they told me they weren't sending it. They still charged me, and when I tried to work through GrubHub, Al's reiterated to them that they weren't refunding my money. Thanks Al's! Way to keep the customers from coming back!

I was out on a site visit with my client. It just so happened we finished around noon and in the area. Since I've never been to this area, he recommended this place. I was really surprised with the food. The pizza was great. If you love cheesy, greasy (I know sounds disgusting but awesome), and delicious tasting sausage and pepperoni, then this is the place to go. Along with the all you can eat lunch buffet, we received salad and soup. No complaints on this end!! If in the area, I would go back!!

Free Wi-Fi at a wedding? Yeah! I bow my head in prayer so I can check my yelp compliments and wondering when I can sip my Cosmo. Everyone at work's been raving about Al's food. It's great they say, been eating it since high school, blah-blah-blah. Well, last night, my friend got married there. It was a last minute thing. They hardly had time to plan it and yet this joint pulled it off. It was so nice. Covered chairs, pretty flower pieces on each table. Nice little dance floor and full service bar. They have a cute little hall (about 60 people) and Al's really made it look wonderful! I loved it. I believe there's a larger hall there too. My one coworker said her sisters have their events there all the time (Christenings, showers, etc.) The food was great. The vegetarian eggplant Parmesan was so cheesy and um good. The soup, salad and rolls, pasta, chicken, the sundaes, were all really good. They also make their own salad dressings. How cool is that? Very! The service was so cheery and nice. From what I hear, the price is really good too. I think this is a really great deal for someone on a tight budget and wants to have a party, whether it be a wedding, shower or birthday bash. I would totally go back for dinner. Parking is a little weird if you're heading eastbound as it was from Melrose Park, but if I were heading west as I normally would from the Northside, there would be prime parking right in front. There's also a 2 hr lot in with lots of parking spots in the back.

Been going to this place for a while now to eat. I think it's time for me to write a review of this place. Hmmm, the servers are friendly, the place is cozy, i hate the parchment paper all the tables have and I always complain about this to my girlfriend. We loved the scallops, almost every time we go we order the scallops, they're great. I once ordered the artichokes, but they said after waiting for 20 minutes for an appetizer that I had to wait more for them to defrost them, nope! I ordered calamari and they're good. My girlfriend onced ordered a cesar salad, the lettuce looked old, and the chicken was dry, but that's her problem, haha. I've ordered the steaks countless times, for example the filet mignon, they're always great, sometimes I order mid-rare and they give it to me medium, so I guess i'll start ordering it rare and i'll get it right, hmmm, but it's always juicy. The mashed potatoes I've had are okay, they're not fluffy, sometimes they lack salt, and somtimes they're not peeled correctly (i find potato peels all over and some are big sometimes) I've never had a dessert here because the portions are too HUGE for the most part that I can't fit in desserts anywhere. hmm, maybe control portion size guys. I once had the risotto with the tilapia, that... that was absolutely amazing. also it was the first time I had risotto. I once had the potato wedges that go with the steak, I forgot what it was called, it was dreadful. So as you can see, this restaurant is a hit or miss. In a way that some food is amazing while others are okay and others are just bad. Hopefully they read this and correct some issues I stated (and I'm sure others know as well) because i adore this restaurant and for the most part i learned what's good and what isn't, so everytime i go, i order what i've loved, that way i always get the best out of this restaurant. I wished I could give them 3.5 stars, but 4 will do, 'cause I am a fan and i have hope that they can fix these issues. thanks guys.

This place USE TO be good. I would always order a pizza. In the last few months I have noticed the quality of ingredients has gone downhill. A call to the manager gets the usual b.s. without a full admission of cheaper ingredients. They are cutting corners and skimping on the quality so I am done with them. Congrats Al's: you use to be my favorite pizza and now you suck.

My wife and I were running some errands Saturday evening, and since we were close, decided to check for any possible deals. When we saw the Yelp $10 for $20 deal, we bought it. We were debating on whether or not to do dine-in or take-out, and decided on take-out. Silly me, I guess being hungry made me overlook the fine print. Not valid for take-out or delivery. We had stopped in the cubicle-sized take-out area to order when we were informed of the exclusions. The nice lady at the back called the manager to speak to us. That's where it all went downhill. The manager seemed to have an attitude and simply reiterated what the fine print said, offering a less-than-heartfelt, "Sorry." STRIKE ONE STAR for poor managerial/people skills. Since I had already purchased the deal, we went back to the dine-in area. Again, the manager greeted us with the attitude and seated us in the dark, nearly empty dining room. It took nearly TEN minutes for our server to come to the table. Why it took so long in an empty restaurant is beyond me. After the wait, she came over. Now, this is the time to start your customers off with something to drink or an appetizer while looking at the menu, but that didn't happen until after ordering our pizza. We were left alone for the entire half-hour that it took for our pizza to come to the table. STRIKE ONE STAR for lack of attention to customers. While we were waiting, my wife informed me that she overheard the manager talking about how customers should learn to read the fine print. Customers can make mistakes. However, since you choose to berate us within earshot about that mistake, I will hold you responsible for all of yours. STRIKE ONE STAR for simply not caring about the people who keep you in business. Finally, after being unable to resist feeling unwelcome and we were ready for the check, another male manager and our server were battling with the computer system on how to register the Yelp deal I had purchased. I don't think they ever did figure it out. They simply subtracted the $20 from the check, and asked for the difference, about two dollars and some change. That's about all this visit was worth. Out of sheer pity I left a $2.00 tip. STRIKE ONE STAR for lack of staff training. This was our second and last visit. It was like living an episode of Mystery Diners or Restaurant Stakeout. Hopefully, the food will stay at the quality it is, or it will become a Kitchen Nightmare.

Great place, and great service. I went here about a month ago with my boyfriend - we love pizza! We were looking for a pizza/Italian joint that had old-school charm. Let me tell you - we definitely found it at Al's! The service is great; our waitress, Mary, was attentive and checked up on us often. I highly recommend this place both for the food and the service.

I moved to Berwyn from Los Angeles 5 years ago. I went to Al's a number of times the first couple of years I was here, and it was great. I went a couple months ago (first time in 6 months), and it seems to have gone downhill. Tonight I ordered 2 "Angus" burgers to go because I had a taste for a "good" hamburger, etc. The gal who took the order told me they will only cook Medium (rather than Medium-Rare, my preference). I asked her to ask the chef to undercook slightly as I would probably need to reheat. Bottom line....my friend picked them up, brought them back and they were like dry cardboard. When I phoned and spoke to the Manager, he tells me they will only do Medium-Well. I told him she should have told me that. He was a "dick". Wouldn't give me a credit, in spite of my/me and friends spending a lot of money there previously. I will NEVER go there again. They used to give a salad and soup with dinners....now you have to order separately. I had crab legs there a couple months ago at over $50, and it SUCKED. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN, AND I WOULDN'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Husband and I came here unplanned around 1 pm while we were in the area. There was no one at the hostess desk. A lady then glanced over and told us to just sit where ever we wanted after waiting about 5 minutes for someone to come greet us. We were brought iced water and asked if we wanted to dine in or do the buffet. We decided on dinning in. Service was a little on the slow side but then again it was lunch hour and the employees were working around the buffet section. So I ordered a small thin crust pepperoni pizza and hubby ordered the "make your own pasta" which was mostaciolli with marinara, mozzarella cheese, chicken and mushrooms. We got bread and butter too. Then in about 12 minutes our food got to our table. My pizza was super cheesy and the crust was really thin and crispy. Perfect for me, that's how I LOVE my pizza. The sauce is not on the sweet side, which is what I prefer, it's more on the savory side, but it works! The cheese, pepperoni and sauce ratio complimented each other so well. It was awesome. I didn't try hubby's food although it did look delicious. He said it tasted amazing. Portion was huge, so he took the rest to work so he can eat it during his lunch time. This is a place I would love to try again, maybe next time we can try the buffet. They get 4 stars only because service was a bit slow (not the time it took to get our food but for us to get our check, leftovers to go, order etc) and we were kinda in a hurry but the food was fantastic! Hoping we can go again if we are in the area with more time in our hands.

Great pizza in an ambiance that you can't recreate. Even if you don't like wood paneling and oxblood booths, you'd be well advised to have some of Alessandro's pizza. Veggie pizza with ricotta. That's it - and I usually would never order veggie pizza. And yes, do the ricotta. Also, they have a bona fide salad bar, for those that want more than iceberg on a plate. The price - 11.00 for a large pizza, not including toppings.

I've been to Al's many times and it has never disappointed me. During their lunch hours they have a buffet with lots of options. I usually always go for the buffet because you can try a little bit of everything on their menu. Food is always great and taste good. The service is also always nice and friendly and it is not expensive at all for the amount of food you can order.

I use to give Al's a 5 star but tonight they have received the lowest of lowest. I ordered pizza through grub hub today. I took advantage of their Monday special so I didn't spend the usual $25-$30 average that I usually do. Their pizza is one of the best out here. You can reheat the pizza the next day and usually taste very good. WELL NOT TONIGHT. I took a bite out of this pizza and it has a weird taste to the cheese. I called and I spoke with Lucky. I asked her if there has been a switch in cheese or if something different is now being used in the pizza because my pizza does not taste the usual. She says let me talk to my manager. She gets back on the phone and says, " My manager says maybe it taste like that because you are probably eating 5-6 hours later". I probably have ordered more than 100 times from this place and ate the pizza even 12 hours after I have ordered it. I told them I would leave the pizza there for them and all they could say is. "Ill tell the owner your concern tomorrow". Not only did I just receive probably a bad pizza along you get bad customer service.... But then again it is a CICERO business, what do they care, Im sure the Town of Cicero has them well under they buckle where they don't care what kind of service they deliver anyone. Bad service or good they will be here 25 years more. I wonder what other pizza business would like my little money. Thank you for your business while it was good.

This is only a review of the mostacholi not service or other food items: I recently ordered a party package deal and I must state that the speed of the food for delivery was fast. I ordered the party package 1 with a football pizza, half tray of mostacholi, dozen wings, and 2-liters of Coke. I have ordered your pizza before and I enjoy it. However, this was my first time ordering your mostacholi and it was not good at all. The sauce was not seasoned at all and too thick and since the noddles were soaked in water, it was a mess. I tried to mix the watery noodles with the super thick sauce but sad to say, it was just not good. Hope they could improve on this dish because their pizza is good. However, I must add that i let the management know of my experience and they were very grateful of my review and made sure I was happy in the end.

We've ordered pizza from this place and it's pretty decent. My issue is that I recently ordered a chicken Caesar salad for delivery. For $13 (yes, thirteen) I got a container filled with wet lettuce, I mean it was so wet the croutons were soggy!! Soggy croutons a few pieces of chicken and some cheese. It was absolutely the worst salad ever and terribly over priced! The only reason I didn't give this place one star is because they have a really good football pizza deal. Their football pizza, which is ginormous, comes with mostacholi, wings and salad. The wings are delish but over priced. The people taking phone orders don't always get your order right so if you decide to order from this place make sure you double check your order and have witnesses.

Just did a party, great place. The space was clean and organized, the wait staff was GREAT, loved the bartenders. The price was really reasonable and they helped us package all the leftover pizza and salad to go. Improvements to make this place a 5, more room in a entry / waiting area and stronger drinks. I know I am dreaming on the last, this is a banquet after all. The food was good, just like I remember growing up in the area.

This place has the best pizza in town. The thin crust is amazing. Their wings are pretty good and beefy too. Good place to watch the playoffs. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Newly remodeled bar and restaurant. This place is under rated and Paisan's is over rated.

I've been going to Al's for almost ten years and I love the people, food, and service. I haven't gone in a while and recently returned while they were renovating. The regular restaurant was closed but they opened up there smaller banquet hall to accomodate customers. My husband and I love there food. They always give big portions and I like the variety. It definitely has an awesome old school feel which I really appreciate. I would recommend even ordering out for parties. They have awesome family packs with a great value. For $35 you can get a 1/2 tray Lasagna, 1/2 Mostoccoli, 1/2 tray salad, Chicken, garlic bread, and soda.

How can you not love a place with classic delicious pizza...ice cold Peroni beer and a wait staff that is classic and nice. This place is becoming the go to spot when I'm looking for local spots with my girlfriend. You must check out the Uncle Bobs pizza special! I definitely recommend this place. The decor doesn't compliment as it should but its a nice dimly lit place, but not at all fancy which could be a good thing!

i have been ordering food from Al's for 10 yrs and it seems everytime i order the food scale drops, it was great food in the past now its one of those its alright joints. Everytime i order i try to pay with a card and they say its delclined and i have to take that card right to a cash station and withdraw the money to pay cash......big hiccup i cant get over. Time to find a new Pizza joint in Berwyn/Cicero. :'(

The pizza IS good, but so are many other menu items! Believe it or not, my favorite thing to order from Al's is the broiled halibut steak. It is prepared perfectly, because with such a quality piece of fish, simplicity is key- just a touch of white wine and butter. The chicken tettrazinni is also delicious, but so heavy and heart attack-inducing. The menu prices have been fluctuating. The salad bar used to be included in the price of the entrees, but now the salad bar costs extra, except that the price of entrees are cheaper...so if you order an entree and the salad bar, it ends being about the same price as before? Confusing. Their Easter/Mother's Day buffet is out of this world. Everything you could ever want. Huge carving tables of meat, make-you-own omelet station, and my favorite, the make-your-own pasta station. I always ask for pesto with a touch of alfredo sauce.

OK, so while I'm on the pizza streak, here's another CONSISTENT pizzeria to order from. Al's Pizza is the Hub's fav. I like it too because the crust is the perfect thin crust, and they always brown it just right. Oh, another BIG reason we order from Al's...their fried calamari!! It's really to die for. Sometimes, it's a little greasy and sometimes, because it's delivered, the steam tends to make it a little mushy, it's still delish enough to mention it. If you ever get to their restaurant and order it as an app, you'll understand why I'm so 'gaga' over the calamari. It's like muscle calamari, the rings AND tentacles are so huge!! And, you have many ingredient options to choose from. My Hub would probably recommend the beef and gardiniere half and half my cheese, sausage and mushroom. Really a nice combo!! Once again, price is comparable. Delivery is a little timely but they are REALLY busy. Always ask them how long before you order. If they have a function AND it's busy night AND the restaurant is packed, you might be sitting a bit longer than normal, normal averaging 45 min. give or take a minute or two. But on the consistency thing...right on!! Oh, and they're open pretty late at night too!! That's also a good thing!!

We went here for a friend's birthday and I loved it! I like the casual and cozy atmosphere and the people working there were very friendly. We ordered a platter of appetizers which was HUGE- our group of 6 was not able to finish it. Oh but you better believe we wolfed down the friend calamari! There was not even a tiny piece of a tentacle left when we were done- I definitely recommend it to any calamari lovers out there. I had the Chicken Pompeii - it comes with two stuffed chicken breast and Vesuvio style potatoes. It was perfection. My husband had the Filet Mignon with baked potato- he gave it a 3 out of 4, he asked for medium rare, but the outside was a bit burned. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant is their bread. The bread they bring out in a basket is cold, hard and seems a bit stale. I'm giving them a 4 out 5 stars just because of this, any excellent Italian restaurant should have delicious and warm bread. p.s. after reading other people's reviews- we will be back to try the pizza!

Been ordering from Al's for about 8 years and have been very satisfied. I've only ordered their thin crust pizza so I can't comment on their other offerings. Pizza is always hot and the price is reasonable and always have coupons for $3-$4 dollars off your order in the local circulars or online. They use to include a couple of pops with your order. But because of "high gas prices", they stopped doing that.

Yet again, Al's get's 5 PLUS stars. After a VERY long week at work I stopped at Al's for a perfectly charred filet and dessert. The service was wonderful and it hit the spot. GREAT JOB........

the boyfriend asked if we could give thumbs down for this place.... no such luck. we went here a while back, NEVER AGAIN! we tried asking the "oh-so-helpful" waitress what was good... according to her EVERYTHING we asked about was good.... (that doesn't help!) we ended up getting burgers. they were generic expensive burgers. i can do better w.homemade burgers. the waitress was also kind enough to tip herself $6 w/my boyfriends card w.out our knowledge! what the hell! dont go there!!!

*sigh* One of the places that I wish was just a little bit closer to the West Coast is Al's Italian Restaurant. They have the best pizza, (in my opinion,) perfect crust, sauce, cheese and overall taste. Great fresh or cold, yes cold, this pizza is one of the places I go to when ever i visit Chicago. It's located in Cicero, on Cermak Rd, near Austin Blvd. They have other locations but this place has great atmosphere. Now if only they could branch out to Portland, Or.....

The food was excellent. The review was for the terrible service which approached rudeness. When the server brought the bread basket, she decided to move the pitcher of tea. Although there was plenty of room elsewhere on the table, she chose to plop it right in front of me. She only served two of the side plates, and I was handed my side dish rather than her walking around me to serve it herself. We always had to ask for refills for water and sodas. Very little eye contact or smiles. Her whole approach was pretty robotic. Too, too bad because the food that was served was very good. Go for food but expect to be treated like an unwanted guest.

Still haven't been to the actual restaurant, but we order their family package with the football pizza quite often. Their buffalo wings are our favorite! Great packages when you are having a few friends over. Good pizza.

I've been to Al's a few times over the years and they usually provide a solid if predictable old-school, basic Italian restaurant experience. But I went there last night and was very disappointed, especially with the service. First they seated us (3 adults, 1 teen) in a station where the waitress was apparently too busy to take our order. After 10-15 minutes we asked to change stations where another waitress was available and so we moved (weird because, why did we have to move?). So the new waitress took our order, and forgot my brother's soup and spilled his coffee but not a big deal - the pasta order were delivered but not my son's pizza, but he had ordered the salad bar so didn't mind the wait. She told us a few times that his pizza was almost done... never came out. Finally when we were done with our pasta she came out and said that there was a miscommunication and his pizza had never been done - did he still want it? They would start it right now. How long would it take? I asked. "I don't know." she replied. So we said "uh, no.." We all felt like we'd been there for an eternity already and even though my teenage son was still hungry we could not wait (or trust them) any longer. We asked to talk to the manager and he was making excuses but didn't seem to think it was a big deal. He thought he was being generous by telling us he wouldn't charge us for the pizza! Yeah, the one we never got. Same with the soup we never got. He comped us my son's sprite and my brother's coffee... big deal. We weren't looking for freebies but we were very disappointed in the lack of concern. The food was average (there was a bone in my boneless chicken breast), sauces were ok, water never replenished. The portion sizes were huge to the point of feeling like you were eating out of sink. But the service was the worst (our waitress apologized profusely but she had to apologize so much it was like a chorus)... just a real disappointment, probably won't ever go back there again because they didn't seem to care and everything else was so average.

Their pizza is great! The sauce isn't too sweet and the cheese is just right. If you're having a lot of people over, they have something called a "Football Pizza" which is 18" x 36". It's supposed to feed 8 people, but it seems to feed about 6 of my family and friends. Their delivery is also pretty fast. My bar tends to order from them a lot (either for the patrons or for us) and they are usually there within 30 minutes or so -- and that's on a Friday night.

My family has been ordering from Al's for as long as I can remember. Honestly I'm not as big a fan as my mom or brother are, at least anymore, but I prefer their non-pizza offerings. They can last you for at least 2 meals, but they are over $9 before tax and delivery. Thankfully Al's throws in some bread and cheese.

I really miss the food, Only get a chance to eat at Al's once or twice A year! I moved out of Cicero and Berwyn years ago. (80's-90's) And so did my brother, I go and see hime once a year and we make the trip from Indiana to eat the food we love! Of corse well we are at Al's we make it about lunch time. The salad bar is always stocked up with fresh Italian delights, fom tomato and onion salad to seafood salads and all the fixings from sliced meats and the differnt chesses. (Can we talk Cheese!!) Growing up in a big Italian family it brings back memorys! We always grab the buffet that way we can get the pizza we grew up on, along with the pastas and chicken, meat balls, sausage and of corse the Home made soups!! If I lived closer it would be like the old days!! "Manga" Thank you AL's for the great food and the memories you've given to me and my family!! See you in a few months so my brother and I can break bread at your table once more!! "GOD BLESS"

My mother and I came here tonight since we haven't came in like 8years. We walk in the door the hostess was great very friendly. The server was so so not very experienced. The salad bar was not fresh. The dressings were hot. The pasta salads were hot and had crust on them with jello mixed into it as if it was sitting from lunch. That turned me off quick. The table bread also wasn't fresh. I ordered the fettucine alfredo that was delicious and made up for the salad bar. Just the service was bad we had to call him while he was talking about a show with another table. Also kept mumbling things under his breath. Its like wow not so friendly its not like we kept bothering him for things. I highly reccomend not getting the salad bar it is not fresh. Unless you like jello in your pasta salad. Eat the pastas their delicious!

Absolutely the best pan pizza! we've been ordering from Al's for years. Occasionally we'll go for pasta there, but mostly we order pizza delivered. Perfect sauce and cheese combo .Delivered quickly and hot. We love sausage or spinach and ricotta. Can't beat prices and freshness.

We took the family for a last-minute dinner out, and it's like we stepped into a time machine. The decor hasn't been changed since the 70's and it's dark and paneled and the tablecloths are covered in plastic like your Italian grandmother might do... and we loved it! The food was VERY good. We got the baked clams for an appetizer (actually, these were outstanding), and we got stuffed shells (thumbs up), a small cheese pizza (not as good as Salerno's but still good), chicken tetrazzini (HUGE portion covered in decadent cream sauce--not for the dieters) and ravioli. Everything was terrific. We had enough left for another meal, too. They had a great special on beer and a nice house chianti. Our server, Ray, was friendly, helpful and attentive. The guy tending bar came out and chatted us up at the table, and we felt like we'd been coming there for years. We will definitely go back when we're in the mood for Sunday-gravy-Italian. Someone mentioned a lunch buffet, and I can't wait to try it!

Pizza was cheesy but our bread was not soft and warm like other reviewers said but oh we'll other food made up for that service was good, wish I was in Chicago longer wanted to try other menu items!! And they must of renovated because it looked really gorgeous in there especially the bathroom very nice in there and the family photos were cool also too look at made u feel apart of them

  • America Q.

HELLo.

Sick. If you don't mind bumping into a few mice here and there while you're eating, then this place is for you. lol

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
