Awesome Gazpacho!!! Great spot to grab food and go sit outside!

I do love me some Pret A Manger. It's über clean, fresh and organized. The cashier is friendly and I know this is part of their business persona but I still like it. I do think the food is fresh, healthy and yeah, I'm gonna look at their calorie count! It's not always the most flavorful but I feel like you gain in freshness, healthiness. I've tried their salad, sandwich and fell in love with their steel cut oatmeal for breakfast. 5 stars for freshness and choices, but lose a star for lack of flavor and price. It is a bit spendy esp if you get a drink or any sides. I think some of that is because they use quality ingredients? It definitely gets my kudos for its consistency.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner here. It was pouring down rain and didn't want to walk far, so we ran in here. It was close to closing, so they had very few items left. My husband got. Club and I got a large of the chicken noodle soup. Everything was so fresh, and the soup was not over salted or lacking ingredients; it had plenty of veggies, chicken, and noodles in it. The prices were a little steep, but you get what you pay for! What we got was fresh, chemical free food with no fuss.

Love this place! The food is fresh and doesn't lie around for hours like some of the other places. The staff is friendly, and there's a variety of good and healthy lunch options. The popcorn is delicious, the Moroccan lentil soup is filling and amazing (not quite Moroccan, but still great), and if you feel like indulging, the brownie bites are an explosion of deliciousness. Definitely try this place out, it's worth it!

Dammit Pret. I was happy to hate you. But you guys had to give me a free lunch coupon so obviously I had to try you guys out again. Today I went back to Pret for the first time since they opened and when I swore off Pret due to gross, unseasoned food. Today for lunch, I had the Bang Bang Chicken tortilla and it was AMAZING. It was spicy, perfectly seasoned, and tasted like Asian cuisine. I will definitely go back for this tortilla again. Maybe after a pay day because Pret is expensive...

I love Pret but I found a bee in my soup at this location. An actual dead bee. gross.

You can keep your little bottles of refrigerated juice for $5.99. I'm going to Freshii for a smoothie made fresh, at twice the size. Same price, but . . . twice the size, made fresh. Yeah, that.

I came here when I first got to Chicago. I was looking for a green juice to give me some energy after an early morning flight, and this place was conveniently located very close to my hotel. I ended up with the green good stuff juice and an avocado and toasted pine nut wrap. The juice was very refreshing which was exactly what I needed, and the wrap was absolutely delicious. I was glad I stopped here before going off to explore the city!

Pret is the best, and this location HAS IT TOGETHER The food here is always fresh and awesome. My personal favorite is the almond croissant. As a former ex-pat in France, I have high standards about my croissants and Pret never disappoints. Their chicken noodle soup is also on point. If you are looking for the best priced latte in the loop, look no further than your neighborhood Pret. Now for the employees, I am consistently greeted with a smile at this Pret and each employee is so friendly and kind. They always brighten my day and provide fast customer service. The employees here take their job seriously and are always buzzing around the restaurant working hard. This is for sure my go-to spot in the loop for lunch, breakfast, and snacks. Organic food, awesome pastries, and great staff. What more could you want?

I like the shrimp and cilantro wrap. The soup is yummy also. My complaint would be how overpriced this place is. Kind of nuts.

This is one of my favorite places to go for a quick tasty lunch. Pret has a large selection of soups, salads, snacks, and baked goods to choose from. I've liked everything I've had here so I don't really think you can go wrong. Pret recently introduced these quinoa bowls, which are amazingly good. The squash curry bowl is delicious. The other nice thing about Pret is that since everything is prepared in advance, you don't have to wait. You literally walk in, grab it out of the cooler (or heater), pay, and walkout. And they constantly restock and refresh the food, so there aren't any freshness concerns. So if you're in the mood for a quick, tasty lunch, check this place out. There's also a small area to eat there in the back, but I've never actually taken advantage of it.

My favorite part about Pret A Manger is the Yoga Bunny Detox drink. Second is the tuna nicoise salad. The lettuce is often suspect though and I end up tossing 1/3 of it. Most of the things I've tried are good, but not really great. The staff are always smiley and friendly. They don't move especially fast though, which leads me to my next point...It's like they anticipated ridiculously long lines when they designed this place. What's with all the empty floor space? Unless I'm eating with someone I eat my lunch in my office usually, so the lack of available seating here doesn't bug me. Loop lunch spots fill up quick at noon though, add a couple more tables, Pret! /end rant

This place is great for a quick stop to get fresh, healthy-ish lunch. There's a ton of different offerings, which makes me want to go back again and again to try everything. However, to give a good, quick summary of this place, I'd like to rely on the trusty old pro/con list. Let's a go! Pros: - Like I said, quick. Everything is pre-made daily. You grab your food and buy it at the counter - Healthy-ish. Organic food and the calories are included on all the labels in the case, so you can make an educated decision on your lunch - Avocado. Lots of stuff includes avocado. And when anything includes avocado, it's a decent amount - like half of an avocado. Avocado. - Bacon. There's lots of things with bacon too. Better yet, things with bacon AND avocado. Avocado. - Friendly staff at the counter. Me: "Why hello to you too! No thanks, I don't need a bag with my sandwich." Cons: - Kinda expensive, but what isn't in the Loop? - Portions are kind of small, but isn't that part of eating healthy? Portion control - it's the pits! - I would say it's mediocre if you want to dine in. I've only taken to go, but the indoor seating is very meh. - The name is a little pretentious. This isn't a real con, but I feel like a d-bag a little bit when I say I'm going here. Hahaha

  • Adam K.

Meh, mo fresher options downtown, but if your in a rush you can do way worse. Pretty pricey for a pre made salad. You know bikini season is on its way so stop pinching your stomach in the mirror and eat here.

As a visitor in Chicago, I came across this place and the service here is fantastic! Super friendly, helpful, and patient. It's inside a target store. Food is delish! Had their coffee, juice, oatmeal, and sandwich. All were great and fresh. Wish we had one in SF.

  • John K.

it's good for something quick and healthy, but WAYYYYYYYYYYYY overpriced.

    (3)
  • Harold J.

This entire concept would be awesome, if the food was not overpriced and out dated. Good luck getting anything fresh made when they make most of their products off-site and ship it in.

  • Brent A.

the food is good here, don't get me wrong, but way over priced. The sandwiches are good, but not great, and they are smaller than what you would get at Jimmy Johns and not near as good. The soups are good, one of the better values here. I usually run across the street to McD's for a 32 oz coke for $1, vs Pret's can of coke that I think is almost $2. They make it sound like it's unique that food is made fresh daily - I would assume most restaurants are making my food fresh daily right? I think maybe Pret stands for pretentious. However, if you are stuck and there is nothing else close, you can get a good meal, some unique soup's and sandwiches, and then overpay for them

  • A. M.

In my top 3 lists of places for lunch in the loop when I'm looking for something healthy/semi-healthy. Ordering set up is super simple. Everything is pre-made so you just go in, grab it, and head over to the counter to pay. Everything is made fresh daily so you don't have to worry about it sitting there forever. Can be a little pricey so I don't head over here often. But it has always been tasty. Try the summer crunchy wrap. Yum.

  • Vishal B.

These are popping up everywhere in the city, with good reason. Walk in, grab what you like off the wall, everything is made that same day, no left overs. Healthy and tasty pre-prepared food, so you just pay and run. I don't like that with a drink and cookie you're paying 11 bucks for such small portions. Its all good.. I love the ginger beer, and the molasses cookie!

  • Kyle H.

This Pret has a lot of empty space, and not much seating, so it seems like more of a Grab 'n' Go place. Stopped in here for a quick after work sandwich, and enjoyed the new Cuban pulled pork sandwich, which they gladly toasted for me, making the spicy sauce all warm and melty. Soups are listed on your right as you walk in, and there is additional seating in the back. Employees are helpful and polite, as they tend to be at Pret a Manger.

I'm not typically a fan of fast food, but this chain has won me over with just one item. Gazpacho. Gazpacho is easily one of my most favorite things to eat in the warmer months. It's cool, refreshing and like a pureed salad. It's summer in a bowl. Pret A Manger's 'Skinny Gazpacho' is delicious. It's chunky, crunchy, flavorful, and chock full of tomatoes, green and yellow peppers, cucumbers, and onions. This little beauty is only 125 calories. Normally I'm not a big calorie counter, but this soup makes me feel virtuous. I can't speak to much else at Pret A Manger, but I'm tellin' ya - the gazpacho is where it's at! Get it before summer's over.

  • Jennifer L.

Pret has a great selection of fresh food that is quick and convenient. I like that they do not keep the food over night and instead give it to local food depositories. The only downside is the price which can easily top $10 for lunch. But it is worth it for the great quality and fresh ingredients. Also for those looking for a lighter meal they have half sized sandwiches which is nice.

  • Christina M.

What do people see in this place? Because I clearly didn't see it. I like the whole concept, made today gone today...or something like that, but the food really fell short. I had the avocado/hummus/veggie sandwich and thought that it left much to be desired. The quality of the bread was not good, and the veggies didn't taste that fresh to me (even though they claim everything is fresh). I just don't think the taste/quality of the food is worth another visit, so I won't be back.

  • Alvina C.

This is the third location to open in the Chicagoland area. I love the concept of the fresh and preservative-free foods. If they run out of something then that's it for the day. If they do have any leftovers they donate to a charity--so that is super awesome. They offer free wi-fi anfd generally have someone standing by the food case to answer any questions about the food/ingredients etc. I tried the chicken avocado salad with the lemon-shalot vinegrette as well as the sweet pea and mint chilled soup. Extremely fresh and tasty. So fresh that the avocados didn't have time to start changing colors. They have a nice variety of salads, sandwiches, soups, and sides. Will definitely be back to partake in more yumminess.

First impression: This is it?! It's mostly empty space! I haven't purchased from a domestic Pret A Manger before, but last year when I was in London PAM was my destination of choice for a delicious coffee for only 99p (see how I made myself sound worldly there?) and I seem to remember a larger spread. Anyway. I was expecting a bit more. But at this point I had been wandering around and was running out of time in my lunch break, so I hit the cooler to see what my choices were. A couple sandwiches looked good & I grabbed a Vietnamese Baguette. The options for sides were somewhat lacking though...a variety of high fat chips and a couple little salads, and soup. I decided a carrot ginger soup was the way to go. Up to the register I went, and as I had taken an early lunch, there was no line yet. I had my sandwich & soup out the door lickety split. Back to my office I went to eat... And let me say, I was pleasantly surprised! I am not a pre-made sandwich fan in general, but this one was really good! The bread was crusty on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside, as it should be. It was neither soggy nor hard to bite into. The sandwich had a fair amount of toppings and tasted great! The soup was also good. Well, I'll be! Another awesome thing: they have calories posted right on the signs for their food, like restaurants do in NYC (from where I had just returned...see, worldly!). It made it easy to put together a good meal without breaking the caloric bank. I can't quite give this place 5 stars because a) there isn't a lot of variety, especially for sides and b) you can't customize anything here. BUT if you're nearby and in a crunch for time, this is one of the best grab & go options around.

The food is delicious and healthy, calorie counts are posted for everything. The service is very friendly and helpful. A nice break to fuel up before taking on the giant Target!

If you want to eat something good, healthy, grab it and go, come here!!! Everything is fresh, organic, and 100%. I was told that this place originated in London and not somewhere in France. Anyway, it would be nice to see this place in Cali.

So I just discovered this place today (I work in the South Loop and never get up here) and I loved it. The food was great, the service extremely friendly. Had the Avocado Caprese Salad and it was fresh, delicious, and just what I wanted sitting at the fountain across the street.

Stream of thoughts during my first visit to Pret a Manger on Adams. "Pret a manager? That's a clever name. Oh wait, it's Pret a Manger. I always mix that up. Wow, it's the first time I've seen one in Chicago, I should check it out. I wonder if it's anything like the stores I've been to in New York. (enters store) Nice decor. Roomy, which is certainly different from stores in New York. Let's see, $5 for a soup. Oh hell. (turns 180 degrees) (exits the store)" Other than that, I like the food. When sandwiches are calling your name during lunchtime and you must part with your Jefferson within the hour, go here! Recommended.

Please note, this reivew is about this specific Pret location, not the chain in general (huge fan of Pret - particularly the lentil soup). The staff at this particular location, while nice enough, are apparently incompetent when it comes to basic sanitation and hygiene. While eating in a few weeks ago, one of the employees knocked an entire stack of unwrapped soup cups onto the floor. The soup cups rolled around on the ground, including the lip of the soup cup, which comes in contact with food, and then stacked them back up and began serving out of them. I said something to the manager just because I wouldn't want to be served soup out of a container off the floor. Then again this week I went in and one of the cashiers dropped a customer's sandwich on the ground, then picked it up and handed it to him. It was still wrapped in it's packaging, but that just seems like bad form to me. I used to work in a bakery, so I'm fully aware of all the grody stuff that goes on behind the scenes in the food service industry, but from customer service perspective, you don't want your customers blatantly seeing that stuff. I'll be switching to the Pret on LaSalle and hoping for a better experience!

Pret brings me back to my fashion internship in New York, where I'd get a gigantic iced coffee and sip it in the design room. So happy Pret is in the city now! Popped in yesterday for a grab-and-go lunch, which is really the best way to do Pret, if you haven't already figured this out. The Vietnamese baguette is a pretty good rendition of banh mi, and I found it to be super delicious with enough punch from pickled vegetables. Don't you HATE when places stinge on pickled vegetables?! Anyway, it was good. The bread wasn't too hard and I would happily eat another one right now. Love you, Pret. Welcome to Chicags.

First time going here. Decided to go in before work to pick up lunch. I got the Turkey, Bacon, Avocado salad and Ginger "beer". IT WAS DELICIOUS, especially the free pretzel roll they give with it. The Ginger beer was one hell of an indulgence (42g of SUGAR and I drank the whole thing and IDGAF! it was so good). The only thing I didn't like was that it cost me 11.00. I need to find out how they get the turkey and seasoning the way they do so I can make it myself! LOL They also need to have a bigger selection of various types of food, not just Au Bon Pain-ish selections gone GREEN/CLEAN. Can't lie though, this place is pretty decent compared to the horrible and unhealthy McD's, Wendy's, and Panda Express surrounding the place! :D

What's up mang? Have you been to pret a manger? Ok that was a lame setup to my review, but I never claimed to be funny in the least bit. Jokes aside, I love this place. They keep their croissants heated and toasty. Just the way I like em. I haven't tried their ready-to-order sandwiches but the internet tells me that they're worth coming back for. The coffee is also really good. I like that they offer soy milk and a variety of roasts at a good price. Just one question: do you order first and then grab a cup or do you just pour and pay later? I am trademarking that phrase, btw, Pour-and-pay-later. Good night!

I love love love this place. In undergrad I studied abroad in London and fell in love with Pret. And now there is one across the street from my office in Chicago! Ah-mazing. The soups and sandwiches are just wonderful. I love the chicken and avocado and the chicken and bacon sandwiches (surprisingly the chicken and bacon has fewer calories). The Skinny: This is a great place to go if you want a grab and go lunch that is full of good, fresh ingredients and tastes downright yummy. This is not a great place to go if you want to have somewhere to sit or are looking for cheap eats. Those things don't exist here.

I love their sandwiches. Some are typical and others are more creative but they are all yummy. I am addicted to the Honey Tangerine Juice.

I bought a mini Vietnamese baguette and it was pretty tasty. I suppose with the current economy and fresh quality ingredients it was worth the close to $4 bucks I paid for it.

I like the various salad options here. I come in and am saddened that I have to pass up on the yummy looking sandwiches and wraps, pastries, and chips. I have gotten the chicken and avocado salad, the tuna nicoise salad, and the edamame. I usually get the balsamic or the lemon shallot dressing. It's pretty filling and very fresh. I like how the calories are labeled so I know what I'm getting myself into. The service is pretty quick, and the prices are average for downtown.

  • Nichole M.

Service is great here, but the food is meh. I was surprised. First, my "shrimp" gumbo had one itty bitty shrimp in it. Next, my buffalo chicken wrap had what tasted like reheated chicken in it and there is marinara in the wrap! (Marinara, in a buffalo chicken wrap, really?) Gross. I have had the falafel wrap and tomato soup at a different Pret before and they were tasty, so I won't count this Pret out just yet. But I know I won't be having the shrimp gumbo or buffalo chicken again. eek

Great healthy options, all natural. Like everything else in Chicago, it's soup, salads and sandwiches mostly. The club is great, for a prepackaged sandwich - steer clear of the butternut squash soup. Totally bland and boring!

  • Bri A.

I was craving a sandwich on crusty bread so I wandered over to Pret. The food is pre-made (although fresh), which is great if you're in a hurry. I had the chicken/bacon/tomato pesto on a baguette, bbq chips and sparkling orange drink. I'm wary of flavored drinks that have fake sugar, but this had natural sweetener. The sandwich was awesome although it could have used another piece of bacon. There was only one and it was kind of buried, making me think I grabbed the wrong sandwich at first bite. Chips were good and I loved the sparkling orange drink, especially the cute packaging! My meal was pricey, but hey I only eat out once a week when I get sick of my brown bag lunch.

Generally like the wraps and sandwiches but this is the second time I've gotten chicken soup and there were two pieces of chicken! It wasn't the servers fault. She tried to get what she could - but there wasn't any left. They should make sure each bowl has the same amount of chicken.

I haven't been here for a while, but last year I used to go here every day for lunch when I had a contract out in city for about 6 months. I will say that the food is fresh and perfect for someone who wants something fresh, healthy and organic. I think the reason for those of us who love is because you can't find anything healthy in the city that is easy to grab and go, and not overpriced at some fancy restaurant. I wish they would open more around the burbs. I used to get the grilled organic chicken salad with walnuts, cranberries and tomato and avocado over some greens. You can pick and dressing you want and they have all their nutrition online. I would read it before I would visit to get my lunch.

I have been wanting to try Pret a Manger ever since I was enchanted by their adorable cauliflower sheep ads years ago when I was in England. (Anyone remember those? Seriously, they were adorable.) I was very excited to find out that they were coming to Chicago! Unfortunately, there are none up by my office in River North, but I was in the loop running errands on lunch one day and decided to stop in. The pre-prepared sandwiches were a bit picked over by the time I stopped in, but it didn't take me long to find one that sounded good. The sandwich was fresh and quite tasty! I will definitely be back if I find myself near one at lunchtime again, and I can only hope they decide to open another one in River North. I could see myself becoming a regular if I had easy access, as so many of their sandwiches sound delicious. Welcome to Chicago, Pret!

  • Dory O.

I've tried their BBQ Pulled Pork and Buffalo Chicken Hot Wraps and think they are pretty darn delicious. The Spicy Shrimp and Cilantro Wrap (chilled) and it's good too. It's always pretty packed at lunch, but the lines move very quickly since they have about 6 cashiers.

I love their breakfast egg and bacon sandwiches. They are GREAT. I HATE HATE HATE their coffee. ACK! But it's quick food and affordable

I really wanted to like this spot... I'm a sandwich lover and based on the website, I thought it'd end up being a go-to spot. I had the mozzarella and pesto toastie and while it was delicious, there was not enough oomph (or toppings!) to make the price reasonable or a return trip rational. I enjoyed the space and the counter staff - super friendly folks! Everything seemed fresh, but I was still disappointed in the outcome. Boo.

I wandered into the Pret near Chase Tower for a late lunch and was brought back to my semester abroad when I was at Pret at least twice a week. I loved the little star stencil that they imprinted on your coffee and you couldn't beat the place for a healthy and fast lunch. This location lived up to expectations and brought back some fond memories. I loved the ease and variety of choices (even at 3:30 in the Loop). They have calorie content clearly listed, extra cudos for that. I wasn't thrilled about the $8 price tag a wrap and a Diet Coke but when I'm feeling lonesome for London, I'll be back here to get a quick fix.

  • Karen C.

Is it crazy expensive (for lunch) if you get a sandwich, a drink & a side? Yes, yes it is. But if you just get a sandwich & forget about needing all the extras, because you don't really need that with the size of these sandwiches, the price is not too shabby. Everything is fresh, the soups are really delicious and I haven't had a bad sandwich yet. There's no personalization (you can't hold the onions, etc.) but that's what makes it so fast & easy to grab. I just wish they had a drink machine of some sort so you could get a cup of water on your own (or fill your own bottle), instead of having to ask them for one of their little ones. That's my only complaint.

DISGUSTING. I go to school down the street and I used to stop in this Pret a Manger all the time... well, until I bit into the most disgusting egg salad sandwich of my life. Not one... not two... but THREE LONG BLACK HAIRS were clumped together in the middle of my sandwich. Almost threw up on the spot. Took the sandwich back to the counter and the manager was very nice and gave me a refund and a free brownie bar. But a brownie can't erase the memory...

  • Amy W.

Not really a fan at all. Today was my first visit and I probably won't be back. As everyone has already indicated, this place is stupid expensive for lunch! I got a "bowl" of Chicken Noodle Soup. What a joke. I got about three pieces of sketchy-looking chicken, which I didn't even eat, about three noodles a few carrots and maybe a handful of edamame. Total waste of my time and money. I should have just had a bowl of cereal at the office. I was tired of going to Potbelly all the time, but this was not a better option...at all. Blech...I won't be back. The sandwiches looked good, but after this soup experience, I think I'm done. Maybe their other soup is better and you actually get something for your money, but the Chicken Noodle is not a good option if you're actually hungry and want something to eat! It's basically just chicken broth. So disappointing. Okay, well I'm off to get something to eat at Walgreens.

I always saw these places sprawled all over downtown and decided to give it a shot. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the establishment and found this location very nice. The food here is mostly pre-packed (though made fresh daily) and there are plenty of options to choose from. I felt the quality was better than over places that prepare the same type of food service. However, it is a bit too pricey for what I was getting though. I did find the area very clean, even with all the foot traffic happening when I was there. Also, the customer service was professional. Overall, I have to say this Pret A Manger is a pretty good spot. I would be a bigger fan if not for the prices. I honestly feel they are charging more than the quality you are getting. Considering other options in the area, I'm not sure I would come back here. Though, if you are in a jam and prefer a fresh made meal-to-go, then this would be a good place to do that.

  • Mark H.

Do not understand the aversion to pre-packaged food. If the guy at Subway wraps cellophane over his ingredients and takes it out of the fridge each morning, just because he makes it in front of you doesn't make it fresh! And for those of you who complain about portion size, no worries, we'll subsidize your future health care bills albeit begrudgingly. Love the food, the attitude and the hustle.

Pretty good little lunch for the price, especially for being downtown. Fast and friendly service, lots of options, plus seats to people watch. All for under $15, pretty nice.

This is my favorite new lunch spot. Freshly made sandwiches, salads and soups daily. And, I'm literally in and out in five minutes--very efficiently run. Love!

You so fresh. You so tasty. The food really is of a higher quality. I usually get the shrimp wrap or the salad nicoise. Yeah, it's a little more expensive, but you're not eating crap. And the pastries and coffee are very reasonable and organic. Huzzah. Work lunch!

New Favorite Lunch Spot in the Loop! I have been 4 times in just this week - 2 times for breakfast and 2 times for lunch. Lunch: I'm starting here because it is so fresh, fast and delicious I can't even believe it. My first time going in there, I was a little confused as to how it works, but I quickly figured it out - Go up to the displays, grab the cold items you want, go to register, order any soup or pasteries you may want and pay. Simple! I decided to try to the Vietnamese Baguette on my first visit and it was simply delicious. There was plenty of chicken, fresh cilantro and a mildly spiced sauce that enhanced the whole sandwich. The Baguette itself was crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside and just the way it should be. Today, I literally just inhaled the Spicy Shrimp and Cilantro wrap. This could possibly be the best hot day lunch I have ever put in my mouth. It is light, cold and refreshing. The shrimp are perfectly cooked and there are a good amount included in the wrap. The cilantro is so fresh and compliments the coolness of the shrimp very nicely. The sauce was what put it over the top though - I still have a lingering spicy feeling left in my mouth - to die for! If you are in the mood for a light, cool, refreshing lunch - TRY THIS! You will not be disappointed. (I have to add that the wrap itself was actually really delicious too - it wasn't dry or too big) Breakfast: I do not drink coffee but my good friend does and said their coffee is fine (not as good as caribou, but cheaper than caribou). If you are feeling naughty one morning, treat yourself to the Pain au Chocolat. This is simply heavenly - a warm croissant filled with warm, ooey, gooey chocolate. They do it right here and it is so fresh you will wish you ordered two. I have also had their berries which are fresh and tasty, but a little over priced ($3) for the amount I received (a small plastic cup). Overall, you can't go wrong here, just be warned their fruit portions are a little small for the price.

Healthy! Calories are listed in store and online. Soups are fantastic! Fast service. Before I tried the soups, I'd probably give this 4/5, but the soups bumped it up to 5/5! Plus, if you look at the ingredients, much healthier than Panera.

My office recently moved to the area and this is probably my favorite spot to grab some quick, fresh, healthy food for lunch. It's always busy but the line moves fast and it's not too expensive. Last time I went I had the chilli (perfect for a fall day in chicago) and a half sandwich and ate outside near the chase building. It was a nice way to spend a lunch hour. I'll definitely be back.

I generally like the food here - the spicy shrimp wrap may be the best tasting "diet" sandwich I've come across and the crusty bread sandwiches have all been winners. BUT the prices are ridiculous - said spicy shrimp wrap is nearly $8 with tax for not all that much food. I also am annoyed by their environmentalist reluctance to give you a bag for your sandwich - sometimes they'll ask "do you *need* a bag?" (no, I can carry it down the street in my hand back to my office, but I'd kinda rather not), less often they'll just lay it down with some napkins and make me ask for it myself. McDonald's will give me a bag for 1/2 as much.

A work friend and I picked up lunch there today, both trying their lunch for the first time. Kudos for making the info (on ingredients, price, calories) readily available. They got it right with how much (and not crazy amounts) of information to provide. I picked up something with "Vietnamese" in the name, and no, there was not a lot of grilled chicken in it. Considering what an appropriate portion size is, what is served was right on. The Yoga Bunny Detox is refreshing and not too sweet tasting. 35g of sugar is more than I'd like: solved that by drinking only half the can. The variety looked nice for sandwiches, wraps, yogurts, chips. drinks. If they had any fresh fruit, I didn't see it. Great option for carry-out in this area of the Loop. I will go again, looking forward to seeing what other offerings they have.

Love the calorie lists, but the food is really overpriced, I'm sorry. And it's just not that great. It feels like a prison cafeteria in there too. I just can't get into it. I prefer Hannah's Bretzel's hipster sammies to this place. Pre-made? Nope.

Went here for lunch and got a chicken/smoked mozzarella baguette. Everything is easily accessible to patrons, there is a large selection of normal and sometimes hard-to-find items, it's reasonably priced, and they post the nutrition information of each item. I like the simplicity of not having to decide what you want on your sandwich or having to wait in line for them to make it. Will have to try the other options, especially the chickpea salad.

You can keep your little bottles of refrigerated juice for $5.99. I'm going to Freshii for a smoothie made fresh, at twice the size. Same price, but . . . twice the size, made fresh. Yeah, that.

So I just discovered this place today (I work in the South Loop and never get up here) and I loved it. The food was great, the service extremely friendly. Had the Avocado Caprese Salad and it was fresh, delicious, and just what I wanted sitting at the fountain across the street.

    (4)

Generally like the wraps and sandwiches but this is the second time I've gotten chicken soup and there were two pieces of chicken! It wasn't the servers fault. She tried to get what she could - but there wasn't any left. They should make sure each bowl has the same amount of chicken.

/end rant

  • Meghana P.

An actual dead bee. gross.

Yum.

Good night!

Love!

Healthy! Calories are listed in store and online. Soups are fantastic! Fast service. Before I tried the soups, I'd probably give this 4/5, but the soups bumped it up to 5/5! Plus, if you look at the ingredients, much healthier than Panera.

Great mochas at about 1/2 the price as Starbucks. Plus organic coffee. Need I say more.

  • Bridget L.

Love the calorie lists, but the food is really overpriced, I'm sorry. And it's just not that great. It feels like a prison cafeteria in there too. I just can't get into it. I prefer Hannah's Bretzel's hipster sammies to this place. Pre-made? Nope.

    (2)
  • Amanda C.

But I know I won't be having the shrimp gumbo or buffalo chicken again. eek

  • Kate H.

You can keep your little bottles of refrigerated juice for $5.99. I'm going to Freshii for a smoothie made fresh, at twice the size. Same price, but . . . twice the size, made fresh. Yeah, that.

Hahaha

Yum.

/end rant

If you want to eat something good, healthy, grab it and go, come here!!! Everything is fresh, organic, and 100%. I was told that this place originated in London and not somewhere in France. Anyway, it would be nice to see this place in Cali.

So I just discovered this place today (I work in the South Loop and never get up here) and I loved it. The food was great, the service extremely friendly. Had the Avocado Caprese Salad and it was fresh, delicious, and just what I wanted sitting at the fountain across the street.

Good night!

Huzzah. Work lunch!

Great, quick, fresh sandwich. I stop by all the time for lunch. Pretty much everything I've had has been great.

A bagel with organic cream cheese and salmon and the baguette with organic cream cheese, fresh basil, and tomato with both change your life. Go now, please!
