Have not been here for some time now... I will NEVER go back. Ordered some appetizers and a extra large pizza, each of us had a med size soft drink only 3 of us ordered refills. My bill came and my soft drink order cost MORE than my food!? Huh? I was SHOCKED! my soft drink bill was approx 25 dollars and there was only 5 of us and 3 were under then age of 8. I was like WHOA to the waiter and he's like " sorry, no free refills " I'm sorry... that's insane! I used to love this place, but after that, I will never ever step foot in there again. made sure I told all my friends too!

The thin crust half roast beef half sausage with extra special sauce is by far the best pizza pie you can buy. Add a chicken Caesar salad and you have a great dinner. The customer service is unbelievable. It's a great family owned restaurant. Try it you won't be disappointed.

WOW 4.5 stars! - really FRESH and REALLY good pizza! Thin crust is GREAT & pan was very good ; But, regardless which type - the cheese & all ingredients are just so FRESH, and sauce is also very good (just the right taste) ... I order well done, but not burnt - it's baked just perfect! Love that Bacaroni & Sam special pizza . Great & friendly service ... Damn, All these years, how did I miss such great pizza place?!

Best pizza in the hood. Many others have really gone down hill so I tried Phils based on the yelp reviews. Great quality cheese and a bit thicker crust for thin crust but still quality. I could eat a large by myself if I had to but I usually put in fridge for later. Have not eaten in yet but it is a BYOB so I will make my way. Plus they have gluten free pizza and pasta for those cillies in the area.

Really good neighborhood pizza place. My family has gone here for the past few years and have really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, they have really raised prices, and cut back on service. I can't think of any other restaurant that charges for table bread. I'm assuming its in an attempt to compensate for other similar restaurants opening nearby. Unfortunately, it was the wrong way to go. Prices are too steep compared to those places.

I wish they had 6 stars because you have to have this pizza dining in. I don't know how they do it but I really like them better then when they were on NOrthwest hwy. I ate at the Mikwaukee place one other time. I think this place gets better everytime. There is nothing fancy about their pizza. Kind of reminds me of how places did pizza in the 90s. Not fancy but good. Oh and their pizza is just as good cold the next day.

Forgive me father, for I have sinned.....in not writing this review sooner. I salivate like Pavlov's dog at the thought of Phil's. Their thin crust sausage pizza would be my last meal on death row. Their friendly servers would be my chosen executioners. BYOB - that means bring your cooler, your favorite box of Franzia, and your kids for a fulfilling and inexpensive night out.

I know a lot of the review are about the pizza but I went here with my fiance and we had pasta because we wanted something a little quicker. Overall the pasta was OK, but nothing spectacular. I had the spaghetti with garlic and olive oil and my fiance had the spinach lasagna. They do have a larger menu than I would have expected so maybe I just need to try something different. I did the find the server very friendly and attentive so that is why I gave then the extra star. i hope to try this place again and try their pizza.

So, just moved into the neighborhood and tried this place out the day before I moved while the family and I were painting the new place. Well dang, it was pretty good! Arrived promptly and PIPING hot... but whats with the pizza bag? I'm partial to my pizza coming in a box, but its not a huge deal I guess. The Hawaiian was mighty tasty, but the chunks of ham(canadian bacon?) could have been smaller (if I can nit-pick) and the other side was good spinach, mushroom, onion & sausage. The sauce was delightful! Not quite perfect, but very very good for this picky pizza eater. Can't wait to try the deep dish!

The last few times my family and I ordered delivery from Phil's, the pizza was stuck to the cardboard so bad we ended up throwing out half the pie. Also on one occasion we collected enough tickets for the free pizza and they couldn't have been any ruder when we called in to place the order, it sounded like they were annoyed about it. Why even advertise the deal if your just going to be jerks about it to your customers?? Pizza and customer service was much better when Phil's was on Northwest hwy. If you want delicious pizza and good service go to Paninos in Park Ridge.

I'm torn in writing this review. I found this place reading the yelp reviews. We ordered 2 cheesy garlic breads, 1 16 inch cheese, and 1 9 inch cheese. It started off just like most of the reviews say awesome. The garlic bread was a huge hit with my kids. The 16 inch thin was also amazing worthy of a 5 star review. Finally the 9 inch stuffed came, this is when the reviews fell short. The crust was burnt, the sauce had a very bad chared flavor to it me and my wife had a half of a piece of pizza and gave up. We informed the server who asked us if we wanted to speak to a boss. I'm sorry a good server goes to the boss says they didn't like the pizza and we're raving about the rest of the food and have charge removed. Nope I paid 16 bucks for a piece of burnt nasty pizza. Well for this you have lost my business this was my first and last visit it is a shame cause it was amazing food till the end. When presented an opportunity to fix a problem fix it. I would have done dessert but after I received bill and realized he didn't fix the bill after seeing how disappointed we were we left and went to duffs dogs for dessert. Shame was a nice little place with amazing pizza would have been one of my favorites.

To stuff or not to stuff, that is the question. We started with Phil's special salad with house dressing. Pepperoni, cubed cheese, tomato, black olives and iceberg lettuce. Very crisp salad, the dressing could have been more memorable. We also had complimentary thin crisp garlic toast. It was pretty tasty, very crunchy. For pizza we went with a large (14") stuffed pizza pie with sausage, green olive and onion. The pan pizza and stuffed pizza are priced with the cheese base, additional toppings are $2.10 each, adds up quick. I've decided deep dish pizza like this requires at least 3 toppings otherwise its just all lot of cheese. The cheese to topping/sauce/crust on the stuffed pizza is almost 3:1. This is a cheese lovers pizza for sure, I was a little in over my head on this one. Dare I say I would have liked more pizza sauce and a little less cheese. It was so very filling and I felt like I ate a half ton of melted string cheese. Luckily, the leftovers reheated nicely.

"Yes, yesss, yessssss!!!" That is what my tastebuds were yelling out as I dug into Phil's delicious breadsticks, Bruschetta, and Hawaiian thin crust. I am seriously in love. Trust me when I say-order the Bruschetta...it's nothing fancy but boy is it gooooood! The "special sauce" on the Hawaiian pizza is very unique in a great way-sweet and a little spicy-goes perfect with the canadian bacon, pineapple, and pepperoni. On top of all the goodness on the menu, they even give you *free* yummy breadsticks! Phil's is definitely my new fav pizza on this side of town!

UPDATE: 12 months later and this is still the only place we get pizza. We have tried a few other places since this place in the last year but, we haven't found anything is Phil's yet. Pizza still just as great. Staff is fast, friendly, efficient and overall great. Whether you dine in or get for pick up you can expect great food and excellent service.

I've added photos for your viewing pleasure. Their thin crust is excellent, its debatable how crispy it is. I've had it once so far and it had a chew to it, but I was pleasantly surprised with it and look forward to ordering it again. Their pan pizza was heavy with a ton of cheese on top. Between the two styles the thin crust is the winner for me. We ordered the Bacaroni which was composed of bacon, pepperoni, onions and a special sauce. The sauce was so tasty and tangy my buddy thought it had to be jam of some kind, jam! heck no. It's a marinara sauce for sure, just unsure what's in that sauce that made it tasty. Sauteed onions add a bit of sweetness to sauces, could it be that? who knows, its good stuff. The exterior of the restaurant needs a washing, it's just an all glass store front which looks darkened at night. Standing up close looking in is when you feel welcome. Inside the appearance is like your seated in the middle of a courtyard. Pillars against the walls and a hanging flowered terrace over the waitstaff area. With the way that the heating vents are setup nearly every inch of the restaurant is warm at all times, great for this winter since it's been so terribly cold. The mood of the room is welcoming and the staff was cool, collected and knew the menu. Many of the other customers seated nearby were families having a calm Sunday dinner. BYOB and there is a liquor store across the street. Pizza pricing is moderate and in that I mean we ordered two pies one specialty thin and one pan with two sodas came out around $30 before tip. We got more than enough food with ample leftovers. I tend not to give five stars to many places, but their thin crust has won me over.

Hey, this place was recommended to me by a local in Jefferson Park and WOW---what a great find! They deliver in their area or you can carry -out or eat in. Closed on Mondays. I got a take out pizza and salad and was so impressed at how good everything was. The pizza had just the right balance of sauce to crust and the ingredients were so fresh. I especially loved the flavor of the pepperoni and the crispness of the crust. The salad was much bigger than I though it would be and it was amazing. The restaurant is on a funky little corner so as you are driving down Milwaukee, make sure that you don't miss it (I drove right past it the first time). They have diagonal parking right next to the building on the side street so that was convenient to go in an pick-up my order. The staff, both on the phone and in person, were very friendly and helped me get my order the way I wanted it. I appreciate that they handled my special request with no problems. They have a small very casual dining room too so if you want to eat in, you can. This is my new favorite place to get pizza.

I haven't updated this review in a while. I had a baked sausage panzerotti and it was great. I have had both the fried and baked and I prefer the baked version. The crust was perfect and there were just the right amount of filling. They then put a little sauce on the top before baking. This extra sauce gets a little sweet from the heat and is oh so good. It's going to be a toss up between their thin crust pizza and baked panzerotti. They are both excellent. The people are great and the place is alway very clean. I will continue to return here.

Just moved to the neighborhood and so far this is the best pizza I have found. Good balance of sauce and cheese, nice portion of toppings. Room is a bit sterile but still comfortable.

I can sum up my review of this place with five words: Phil's, you are fucking excellent. If you need me to elaborate, of course I can: The thought of eating Phil's thin-crust pizza makes me froth at the mouth like a lion staring down an innocent, little gazelle. Phil's used to basically be a carryout place when it was located on Northwest Hwy, but now they've really classed up the joint in its newer Milwaukee Ave. location. I've never dined in (old habits die hard), but I can't imagine it wouldn't be an enjoyable experience. BYOB! If ever you manage to stop lusting over their pizza, try the other food. From pasta to burgers, I've yet to be disappointed. But that thin-crust pizza? Good god, do they mix cocaine into the cheese?

Me and my husband love this place when we decide to eat in. We get the Vegetarian Pizza which is great They and the have Eli's Cheesecake which is the best ( better than cheesecake factory) the slices are thin but very rich. The fried veggies are good especially the cauliflower and zucchini We only do delivery which takes 45 min to an hour so we always plan ahead. We have ordered here about 10 times and never had a problem

Living in Chicago my entire life has exposed me to more pizza than is probably healthy to eat. I've had it all, thin, stuffed, pan, you name it and I've tried almost every major establishment and then some. Phil's Pizza should definately be on the list of classic Chicago restaurants. The traditional Italian/Sicilian owners bring family friendly values to the table along with good service and great food. The wait staff is highly dedicated and accommodating; they will make you feel right at home. Try my favorite-- the sausage, onion, green pepper thin crust--it is soooooo good!

It isn't often that I feel compelled to write a review for a pizzeria because it tends to be a conflict of interest for me being in the pizza business... BUT, this place deserves all 5 stars I'm giving it. Their sign makes mention of their Pan & Stuffed pizzas but lets not forget about the amazing thin crust tavern style pizza. I thoroughly enjoyed the thin crust as it was very crispy, had the sweet sauce, and you can tell they spent good money on a higher quality cheese. Oh yeah and as far as the cheese goes they don't put it on sparingly... TONS of it. I had the sausage & garlic thin crust which was outstanding, and then a stuffed spinach which was better than the big name places you find downtown. Bruschetta app was great, and the staff was friendly and prompt. This is what Chicago pizza is all about, can't wait to go back.

Boy, I feel bad doing this, BUT....we had our party here and Phil's let us down. We had the party room booked for 4 hrs, but they only had the food out for 1 hr. They wouldn't put the appetizers out earlier as we expected, everything was served at the same time, then they cleared it all away They didn't like us much, they said we were too loud. Instead of asking us to turn down our music, the manager came in and turned down the music herself. We all still had a good time but they won't get return business from me.

Had a yen for stuffed za, and wanted to show my Texan GF what Chi-style stuffed is all about. My memories from decades ago of Uno's initially made me conclude that as an easy choice, but more recent Yelpers changed my mind, and so we were on our way to the far NW side to Phil's which has earned more stars and praise. The complementary garlic bread is nice and crispy and hit the spot with our BYOB prosecco. Though I think they used garlic powder, not fresh puree-my only neg about the garlic bread which was still very good. The Phi's Special Salad, kind of an antipasto, was good, but it could have been a little better with nicer olives and one or two more kinds of meat or cheese. And it could have been a lot better with some house-made Italian, which is seriously, not that hard to make...so why not? We ordered a medium cheese, sausage, mushroom, pepper stuffed medium. Awesome pizza, worth the wait. The sauce and crust were excellent, generous amounts of cheese. It takes 45 minutes, which they tell you on the menu, and you should expect if you've ordered stuffed before anywhere. We brought tons home for leftovers, a small is actually more than enough for two. The ambience is very basic, but lots of windows. Service is very good.

Since we moved to the neighborhood a couple years ago, we've tried numerous pizza places and Phil's has by far been the best. The thin crust pizza is so delicious and so cheesy!! The breaded mushrooms are good too.

Dear Phil, I'm sorry I usually think of Moretti's when I want to order food. I'm sorry my family thinks of Moretti's when they want to order food. I'm sorry I'm moving out of my parents house now and can't order from you more often. I do want to say thank you for the fabulous GUNNER, (Italian Beef and/or sausage with choice of sauce and cheese). I also want to say thanks for the many delicious options you provide to the neighborhood. Food is always hot, delivery is always speedy and order is always right! Hey Phil, you're alright!

I was stuck between 3 and 4 stars, and went with 3 then changed it to 4. The staff here is very good- everyone is friendly and courteous. There is a guy waiter in the late afternoon/early evening who is consistently great. We had a private party here, and I did love the way the staff helped us set up, and also the way they went from table to table throughout the dinner service and offered to get coffee, etc, and offered the dessert we'd brought. There were two women helping with it, and both took the initiative to help us in all things. So in that respect, this is a great place to have an event. I am not a huge fan of the pizza...it is good but doesn't blow me away. I do like the crust. I am a fan of the pasta with marinara! It was delicious at our event! However, the party room we were in had a giant open doorway (5 times the width of a door) to the actual restaurant seating area. The night we were there, they seemed to purposely seat all incoming guests in the tables directly adjacent to the large open arch to the party room. Maybe they wanted to give the appearance of a "happening place" since there were only a handful of regular tables filled. But they complained we were making too much noise, and I think it could have been handled better. We're not kids, and our business far outnumbered the other guests that came in that night. The party room we were given (don't know if they have others) is completely open to the restaurant! Pluses are the staff, some good dishes, the convenient location, and even the party room is nice. Minuses are they need privacy screens or maybe actual glass doors between the restaurant and their private area, and also need to have a plan in place for how to address issues of loud music from a party. Maybe it all has to be understood in advance, or structurally accounted for. Would I use them again? Yes. But since we would want to run the event in the same way we did, I think there would have to be some changes made regarding both expectations and delivery of services from Phil's.

I doubt that my gustatory opinions are worth much. E.g., I thought army food was ok. But after sharing a bottle of vino with my girl friend in a family-run, BYOB Italian restaurant like Phil's Pizza D'Oro or Villa Rosa I become convinced that the world is a much nicer place than it probably is.

Phil's has AMAZING food. The pizzas are great, as are the pastas, burgers, and appetizers. I've converted many people to ordering their pizzas from Phil's. I've never eaten in the new location, but the deliveries are always on time (or early) based on what they tell you the wait will be when you order, and the food is always hot and fresh. The staff is very nice and also very accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

I have no idea what this place looks like because I order it from my couch and eat it from my couch. Then I pass out on my couch and wake up filled with shame. STUFFED PEPPERONI PIZZA. Don't ask questions, just do it.

We took my dad here for father's day and I was quite impressed with everything this place had to offer. The interior is very clean and welcoming, with a very spacious dining area. I really liked the look of the place, it just reminds we what a pizza joint should look like. The service was as good as it gets. A water glass was never empty and a request was never forgotten. It did seem like the owners whole family was working there, but hey that works for me. They gave us two free orders of crazy bread and were so accommodating to our rather large table. We started off with an order of calamari and bruschetta. The calamari was your basic plate of fried goodness. The dish wasn't undercooked which can happen at a lot of places and they gave us plenty of cocktail sauce and lemon. The bruschetta is another story. It was out of this world good. We had to place another order because the young ones snatched the pieces up as fast as they could. I thought there might be a brawl between grandma and Anna over the last piece, but thankfully they agreed to split it. I had my money on grandma; she's got a wicked uppercut. The thin crust pizza was just awesome. The sauce, the crispiness of the crust and the amount of toppings were perfect. We ordered the D'oro special (onion, green peppers, black olives, and mushrooms) and another pizza with sliced roast beef. Two extra large pizzas were more than enough to feed 9 people and we all left full with huge smiles on our face. My dad was even impressed which is hard to do. You pretty much have to hit him with a hammer to get him to compliment you. On a side note they had some of the best homemade hot giardiniera this tongue has ever been burned by. I was sweating a little as I was eating. I will recommend this place to anyone that will listen to me and will be back again hopefully sometime soon.

The best pizza place on the far northwest side. The thin crust is not too thin not too thick but just right. Sauce is sweet and tasty. A nice mix of toppings again not too much not too little. The pan pizza is my favorite deep dish in the city. Thick soft crust and an abundance of ingredients. It's a must try . I've only dined in once at Phil's. It used to be a pickup and delivery only spot on NW highway. The new location is at Milwaukee, Ardmore, and Austin, and is a full service restraurant. Byob.

Ordered delivery service last night after hearing rave reviews about Phils thin crust pizza. It did not disappoint at all! This is EXACTLY what Chicago thin crust pizza is all about folks! The crust was perfect, sauce was light and had a nice flavor (not too much which can get messy). The cheese, sausage, and mushroom were amply applied and very fresh. Finally the cheese was just beginning to brown which in my mind makes a perfect pie. This is definitely my #1 go to pizza delivery now. Thanks Phils!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I haven't done this sooner! I've been going to Phil's for a while now....almost every Saturday night with my friends for months. We are just over the moon for this place. The food is beyond amazing and the staff is helpful and very friendly. I just can't say enough good things about this place. I haven't been too adventurous with the menu mostly because once I find a few things that I like I stick with them. One this is for sure, you will never walk out of there feeling hungry!

Really not sure why everyone is going nuts over this place. 2nd best overall rating for Pizza in Chicago? I think not. I'm just glad I was in the neighborhood to play pool and not just for this. Positive: Free garlic flatbread BYOB Cheap Negative: Slow service - we noticed the deep dish had a 45-minute warning on it so we ordered one of those and a thin crust, assuming we'd get the thin crust significantly faster. About an hour later, we got both pizzas at the same time. Maybe we should have asked to get the thin crust first, but why on earth would you give a table two pizzas at the same time when four people are sitting there starving for an hour? Pizza Quality - the pizza was OK but there was definitely nothing special about it. The deep dish was your typical too-cheesy, soggy crust Chicago style and the thin crust was enjoyable but not any better than your local corner pizza joint. I'm sure this place is fine if you're from the neighborhood but it doesn't live up to the hype.

Since moving back into the city after being in Kankakee for 10 years I finally found a pizza I can't wait to have again! My boyfriend and I ordered a large sausage, green pepper, and onion thin crust last night (during a snow storm). The pizza arrived hot and within the hour they said on the phone. We tore the paper off, pulled out a slice and OMG, I was in heaven! Perfect thin crispy crust and the right amount of seasonings in the sauce, not too sweet and not too spicy. My boyfriend and I decided that this was going to be our pizza "go-to" place!

Placed my 1st order with them this evening and went to pick it up. I ordered an order of bruschetta that was soo bad that we only ended up eating 1 piece of it and throwing the rest in the garbage it has an olive oil/vinigear tast to it that is HORRIABLE.. the pizza I ordered was the sausage mushroon, green pepper and onion and all you could taste was the green pepper. i will not be ordering from here again thanks for having me throw away $22.00.

Phil's thin crust is great. Just about any pizza you order from Phil's will be great. We order from Phil's a few times a month... always half-cheese (for the kiddies) and half-sausage and onions. The crust is crisp, kind of like a cracker, but holds up well to their toppings. Their sides/appetizer are average. We've had their poppers, mozzarella sticks, veggie mix, and cheese fries. The pastas are also average. Their lasagna and chicken parmesan are ok. DO NOT ORDER the burgers. I ordered one last night and it was by far the worst burger I've ever had. The meat was burned, dried out, and tasted like cardboard. It was really, really bad. I guess it's my fault for ordering a burger from a pizza joint. So bottom line, GREAT PIZZA delivered to your home in about an hour.

We were looking for a place to have our daughter's first birthday party. After researching many places in the area, the price could not be beat. We went in to try the pizza and we were sold! We had a party for 35 adults and 12 kids and there was plenty of space. The service was outstanding and the food was even better! The owners were extremely flexible and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food was excellent! Many of our guests left with a menu in hand! It was so nice to be able to have a casual pizza party and not be over charged.

Phils Pizza is the best, good cheese, nice sauce, good crust. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, not overly fancy but nice. If you like to dine with members of the law enforcement community, they are always eating at Phil's. In short, stop reading this, go there and eat some pizza already!!!!

My husband and I are close to clinical obsession with Phil's, even so that we had our wedding rehearsal here...and...I purchased a pizza warmer container for my husband for Christmas so that he or I can pick up the pizza, without fear that it will get cold on the 30 minute drive back to our condo :) In fact, we live down the street from a Giordano's and across the street from Gino's North and down the street from Pete's Pizza...all legit restaurants that serve great pizza, but still, it's NOT Phil's! Eating in is also a nice option. Their chicken parm is quite fantastic, as well, as their service, simple decor, and parking situation. The BYOB option is also quite amazing. No need to feel awkward about bringing in a sixer of beer instead of the typical bottle of wine here, and the best part...no cork fees. We may or may not have brought in a box of wine at one point too. A+!

For a good 20 yrs I was a regular at Phils, on Northwest Hwy. For 10 yrs I lived a block away. I felt lucky. This was the crown prince of thin crust, extremely consistent and excellent quality-just right thickness, spice, everything. Franks Garden special and the meat lovers, both my favorites. We ate at the new Milwaukee Ave. restaurant, not sure it's 100% as good as the OLD Phil's, we went in a snowstorm driving 15 miles from our new home to do it (had to check out the new place). Sauce seemed spicier, and maybe the garlic wasn't as good, but it's still a great pizza. I think it was 5 stars on NW HWY, maybe 4 now.

This is really a good family restaurant on the northwest side.WE HAVE DINNED THEIR MANY TIMES USUALLY HAVING PIZZA,SALAD,OR CHICKEN SANDWICHES AND PASTA. ALWAYS TOP QUALITY FOOD THAT WE RAVE ABOUT TO OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. the free garlic bread is a real plus. this place is family owned and operated and one of the friendly places to dine in the city.We also had my retirement party there and every detail was outstanding. The prices are very good for groups too...I give it [ 5-STARS]

This place is pretty good. The prices were fair and the pizza was pretty good. Nice to get free garlic bread. Service was a little slow and the soft drinks were a little pricy, but all in all, a nice neighborhood place. Nice for families. I'll go back.

5 stars to the pizza. 1 star for everything else on the menu. The pasta dishes are pretty good and I really enjoy the pizza, but most of the other things that I tried are fried and greasy. Stick to pizza and you can't go wrong.

Best pizza in the area, at least or thin crust, that's all I get, I always order out.

Phil's is a really good pizza place in Jeff Park and it's BYOB. Try the thin crust pizza and bring your fav brew. The place is nothing special but tasty food, great service, and even a low key place to watch the game.

Great place, great food I don't know why some of the other people rate this place bad. I have been coming here for 3 years now and never had a bad comment about this place.

Pizza is ok , sauce is a little to tangy , other then that everything else off the menu taste like it came right of of the freezer bag ,live across the street for a year and would still prefer pequads or la villa over this place any day

Phil's is a lot less greasy than most places. Though I I truly love NY pizza, this is where I go in my neighborhood when I craze pizza. The owners are great and they accommodate my crazy requests (half pineapple half roast beef - don't judge). :)

I went to Phil on Saturday night it was a party in the banquet room. I notice the one service who is the owner wife was very rude. She acted like she didn't want us there.

First off I love that this is a neighborhood and family business. The thin crust is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I also really love the old time Italian American music they play. They also have a party room available for rent.

Had an awesome experience here! New to the area and found Phil's on yelp! Family owned business and the staff treated me like family. Gave me a history lesson about their business. Delicious pizza and their cheesy garlic bread hit the spot. I will definitely reorder!

Whether it's pizza or pasta you want Phil has it on his menu. My family and I have tried just about everything, and it's always served hot and fresh. You can set your clock to the delivery person as well.

Will definitely make this a regular place for our pizza! The thin crust was awesome and love all the specialty options. The sauce was so sweet and tasty, couldn't stop eating! It's a family business and you get that great personal service.

I'm surprised no one has reviewed Phil's yet. This is the place in the neighborhood to get good pizza when you're craving it. Staff is friendly, and they've got a decent sized eat-in area although i assume most of their business is delivery or takeout. I just finished eating a pizza from there for the umpteenth time and it hit the spot. I'm just throwing this up there for others to review, hopefully this can incite some new business for these people. They are relatively new and are good at what they do so I'd like to keep them around!

Worst pizza I have had since Dominoes. Utterly tasteless. Delivery quick and good price. Won't call again. BAD.

been ordering our Pizza from Phils for 40 years now and can't even think of going anywhere else. Over the years we have tried a few others, mostly if we order on a Monday and Phil's is closed, but they don't even come close to Phil's. Great crust and gotta try Sal's extra thin crust, awesome. Fast courteous delivery, great prices and always consistent quality, no reason to look else where.

My wife has been ordering from Phil's for 20 years and I for 10..... We are never disappointed! Quality ingredients, delicious sauce and great service. They are part of the foundation of Norwood Park and we are lucky to have them. Thanks guys!

Their pizza is really good!! My family just recently ordered a thin pizza with many toppings and it was really tasty! We live down the street from this restaurant and we always see the delivery guys driving back and fourth! They are on top of it. Check this place out, the owner is really nice too!

Pizza was delicious (pepperoni and mushroom) but server was awkward. Maybe they should have someone in front to greet costumers. We walked in and didn't know if we should sit down or wait to be seated. It wasn't until one of the cooks walked out of the kitchen and told us to sit. If service was better, I would give more than 3 stars.

Decided to give them another shot. 2 to be exact. Whoever answers the phones is far more pleasant now. I only stick to the pizza here. I've been really disappointed with the other food. But the pizza is amazing. I just hate that Phils opens so late. I can't even begin to count how many times i've had to get food from somewhere else because they weren't open yet. People do like pizza before 4 p.m ya know :)

Hawaiian Pizza was bomb :) Gooey cheese, pineapples, pepperoni, ham, and special sauce (tad on the sweet side but its good) Definitely recommended. Only lost a star to finding parking in the area on a Saturday night.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
