I usually visit this coffee shop in San Carlos when I am visiting my sister. Well, I was so relieved when I saw this coffee shop since my colleague is also a fan of this place. I picked up a bag of coffee beans for $2 off and also a free small drink. Well, the blondie coffee which I tried out with the free small drink. There are also other locations so keep an eye out for their sign. I also tried "Inteligentia" which had a line out the door and their barista actually make a show of making your coffee. So, I would recommend to try both but my taste is for Peet's coffee.

I love that Peet's is popping up more, especially one that's kind of off the busy path that is Michigan Avenue. I don't often get to enjoy Peet's unless I'm around the Lincoln Park location or at the Phoenix airport when I fly in to visit my brother and sister-in-law. I love that's relatively close to work and gives me another option to feed my mocha addiction. It's also cheaper than that Starbucks across the street at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Better than Starbucks. The decor is better than Starbucks. The coffee tastes better than Starbucks. The cappuccinos are foamier than Starbucks'. The baristas are hotter than Starbucks'. The patrons are more courteous than Starbucks'. The wifi is not faster than Starbucks unfortunately.

I love this place. Bye bye Starbucks. Good coffee. Not burnt. (Yeah, you know) Friendly and fast service. (Looking at you SBUX) Almond milk. Fewer tourists (thankfully). Now they just need to get with the program and get an app. But I won't hold that against you.

I'm pretty tired of Starbucks, I have one conveniently right next to work but the majority of the staff are unfriendly. I went to Peets coffee for the first time yesterday because Starbucks ran out of heavy cream, and I really enjoyed my service! The staff was super nice, and not that fake nice, they all seemed like wonderful people. My drink was made perfectly, and with care. I LOVE that they have a honey dispenser to use on the counter -- Starbucks gives you tiny packets that are a bitch to open--so go Peets! I went back this morning and was given a free 50% coupon to use on my next visit. I asked if they had any sort of rewards system, and the cashier told me about all of the deals that they offer. Hell yeah Peets! I'm usually all about non-chain places, but for a chain Peets it real chill and gets 5 stars.

What a breath of fresh air to visit a Peet's in downtown Chicago. I have always preferred them to Starbucks because they had almond milk as an option years ago. Their attitude is better too - more welcoming, customer-centric. There is honey available at the counter and the chocolate powder container is ample and readily available. I ordered a decaf almond latte which was steamed to perfection and served with a broad smile. Thank you!

This is a great location right on Michigan Avenue, however, when I entered the store, I had noticed how small this place is. There is a small seating area with chairs - no large tables like other locations - then a counter which is on the smaller side. Just recently, the patio was just set up. The staff members are friendly. The drinks are served quickly. I wish they had more non tea and coffee drinks. The hot chocolate is good. When on Michigan Avenue, check it out.

Great service and tasty drinks! I wish they had more seating though I came here looking for a coffee shop with great drinks and a place to do work. By the count of chairs, they only had 4 places to sit so I lucked out there. One family was in front of me and a couple of other people came in after I ordered. The barista at the register seemed to be the only one there at the time so things got really backed up. I ended up having to wait over 5 minutes so they have me a card for a free drink for my next visit! I used the coupon from their page on the Yelp app ($1 off of the almond mocha soy latte). The barista said he had never seen it before but still honored it which was nice! I'll definitely come again, but with a plan to take my drink to go.

For those who actually like coffee (as opposed to those who drink Starbucks swill diluted with sugar and dairy products) Peet's is one of the very best coffee chains. This location is particularly nice, and the outside seating is particularly, particularly nice, located in the Wrigley Building's breezeway, where you can watch the tourists on their way from Michigan Avenue to the Trump and the Riverwalk. It's a great place for an iced coffee on a hot day. Or visit the Ghirardelli chocolate store next door, and have that with your hot coffee indoors on a cold winter's day.

This is one of the only coffee shops in the area that continues to brew both a dark and a light coffee all day long. I simply cannot stand Pike's blend at Starbucks and it seems like in the afternoons and on weekends, it's all they brew. Same for Whole Foods- they don't brew a dark blend in the afternoon. I have never been disappointed with any coffee at Peets and the service is great too.

It's not the most obvious place to stop for coffee, but it's a nice change from Starbucks even though it's pretty much the same. But we enjoyed sitting outside sipping on our coffee drinks (in the shade) and enjoying the darn good coffee. The pastries made the breakfast.

Love Peets! I love and work right across the street, and we've started coming here some day instead of always going to Starbucks. It's exactly the same price as Starbucks, which is a little disappointing, but I personally think it tastes better and the staff is always so friendly. Only complaint is that I wish they would put our tops on for us.

The employees here are so ridiculously friendly, I have thought about just holing up here to get my work done rather than going into the office :) Its such a positive environment, its like a great pre-game to the caffeine in the drink I'm about to get. Today the place was a little backed up and they handed out cards for a comp drink for the next visit. This is a level of service and customer appreciation I would not expect at Starbucks. Its great to see this kind of service still exists and inspires a great deal of loyalty to Peets. Kudos to the staff at this location for making every visit a wonderful one.
