decided to give this place a try since i pass by here from time to time.. it wasn't busy at all when i went and they have a decent size parking lot in the back.. there's no tables or chairs inside, only on the outside if you were to eat there.. the service was average.. workers didn't smile or greet but i expect that from a hot dog joint.. i ordered 2 hot dogs and a order of fries.. yes.. the hot dog doesn't come with fries like most places.. the hot dogs tasted a bit on the salty side but it wasn't bad.. i would say it is a little above average.. for the fries.. it was horrible! it looked good but it was nasty.. for some reason, it tasted kind of rubberish? not crispy.. not soggy.. not over or under fried.. but the outside taste rubberish... for 2 hot dogs and fries, it cost me 8 bucks.. but i guess its because its close to US Cellular Field.. i just didn't find this place that great..

Love the steak sandwiches! Absolutely mouth watering and delicious! A bit pricey but once you have tried them and start craving them on a regular basis you stop worring about how much it is! Got my fiance hooked too!!!

At first I thought it was a typical vienna hotdog place but closer look at the menu and I saw they had some interesting sandwiches..I got the strip steak sandwich served on garlic bread and it was a good sandwich. Wasnt the best ive ever had in my short life but ill definitely stop by if im around :)

This is a must-stop before a game or if you're in the neighborhood. The food is phenomenal (as far as stadium food goes) and the service is excellent. Chicago-style dogs, chili-cheese (homemade chili) dogs, cheese fries, iced cream...all delicious. The place looks immaculate and there is always someone cleaning. You could make a weak argument that the food is expensive BUT the quality is well worth it. I saw some reviews talked about the workers being rude, on the contrary. I inquired on the empty 5-gallon buckets they sell when I was putting in my order - while eating outside the a worker brought out TWO 5-gallon buckets and said to take them for free. Does that sound like rude customer service to you? Also, some individuals are reviewing O'Malley's sorely because of its parking fee during Sox games - why? This establishment's review on this particular site asks about the food, not where you can park your car when you have tickets to the game. Its unbelievable how ridiculously incompetent some reviewers are. Go buy a parking pass from the Cell.

Good but pricey for a neighborhood joint where kids go to often. Of course, they don't have to come down on their prices because they have a good flow of customers coming in. Still, when the kids want to go here 3 times a week, and after every local sports event, it's starts to add up. Whatever happened to the 3 hot dogs and fries for $1.89? OK, these hot dogs are a much better quality than those were, but still...maybe one dog and fries for $1.89?

As a die hard sox fan since a kid, I get to omalleys only once a year. Unfortunately I live in Pasadena, CA. This place is the bomb. I always get two steak sandwiches with the works...sports peppers, grilled onions on garlic toasted buns. I go on baseball trips every year with a bud of mine and last stop is always sox park. Told my friend from la about it and he was like yeah, ok, whatever. After he ate one steak sandwich he got two more. No joke. True story. Now he tells me he can't wait to hit the spot. The staff friendly and the owner Mr. Omalleys even works the grill. Love this place. Looking forward to my trip to sox park in August with my family. My wife is now a loyal fan and its time to get my daughters hooked. To those of you complaining about pricing get real. Come to LA. and you will pay double for half the quality. Go and enjoy. Trust me you will be coming back!

We've been going to Morrie O'Malleys for six years and the burgers and dogs are good, but the stand out here is the steak sandwich for $6.75. You can get it on garlic bread, which is the only way they should make it. The steak sandwich is 5 stars. I had one 7/23/09 and each bite was golden toasted garlic bread, with medium rare steak that was tender and flavorful . You can get cheese, grilled onions and all kinds of other toppings, but the quality of the garlic bread and the meat are best savoried straight up. Over the years the parade of neighborhood kids getting their soft serve fix finally convinced me to try it last year, that is also highly reccomended. I think they do shakes and sundaes too, but not certain. The only drawback to Morrie's is that after baseball season ends their hours tend to hit and miss.

Possibly the best place for burgers on the South Side. I ordered the 2/3 lb double char cheeseburger and the crispy fried chicken sandwich, to go (There's like five or six stools inside, so it's not the best place for eating in). Total came out to be around $12 or so w/taxes. The people working the counter were friendly, and I was asked how I want my burger cooked, which is always a plus. You also get to watch your food grilled in front of you. I was out in ten minutes, even though there were people ahead of me. The hardest part was making the trek back home. Once home, I was greeted by my sandwiches, both wonderfully aromatic. The cheeseburger was perfection and one of the best I tasted, and the chicken sandwich was delicious. I attribute part of this to the use of kaiser rolls(soft and yummy!) and not your average sesame seed bun. Morrie O'Malley's is a tad pricier than your average fast food joint, but based on the quality of the food, it is more than worth it. Only complaint is that it is too far from my house! Definitely stop by if you're in the neighborhood for a Sox game or just visiting. I plan to come back and try their polishes, fries, and shakes.

Oh holy crap, this place is awesome. I used to live right down the block and it would call to me. The food is awesome. I will even eat and enjoy the hot dogs, which is not something I do often. The cheese fries ans pizza puff were my go to, I mean how do you not order a pizza puff when that option is presented? I don't know if you can. The staff is very friendly, very fast and just plain awesome. It sucks that it's only open in the summer, for the baseball season, but that just makes me cherish the little time I get with O'Malleys even more. Because it's open only in nice weather, there's only outdoor seating, it's very nice and on a not-game-day you can have a very relaxed meal here. If you're not looking to eat a meal you can always just grab a shake or some ice cream. The soft serve reminds me of my childhood ice cream shop (I miss you Stop-N-Chat). The shakes are really good. yum!

This is the BEST HOT DOG in the CITY. PERIOD. A true Chicago style hot dog that looks like it comes from a VIENNA BEEF poster itself. Omallys has other items that are just as amazing. The burgers are phenomenal and everything is cooked right in front of you. The staff is so friendly and polite these ladies have been at it for YEARS. Every year they close for the season which sucks but the incredible food makes up for it when the season opens up. Go Sox!

  • Clare M.

O'Malley's rocks my socks. Best hot dogs in the city, hands down. Authentic Chicago Style dogs in an authentic Chicago neighborhood. My fiance prefers the char-dog, while I go with the old fashioned boiled dog. The grilled bun is the perfect finishing touch. Willie B must not know a good hot dog because this place is the tippity tops.

Decent food, but pricey. AND despite the modern building, it's NOT open year round.(only open from april-late october) This place mostly serves the sox game crowd.

  • Susan R.

The rudiest workers I have ever encountered and the food was so-so. I will definely pass this place up next time I'm going to a Sox game. I'd rather pay the extra money for better service and the so-so food in the Park.

  • Jill S.

Food is fantastic and made fresh to order. I'm a hot dog and cheese fry girl and I must come here too much because they know my order. If you're here for a Sox great, great place before a game. Patio seating, weather permitting. Otherwise you can eat at the counter or take it to go. Cash only but they do have an ATM on site.

Love this little hotdog stand. If your looking for a straight up south side chicago style hotdog, this is it. Not only is there hotdogs great but what a great burgar and steak sandwich too. The sevice is great, theses old ladys all have been working there for more then 15yrs and are the best. love love love this spot, and it's right by my house too.

I consider myself a connoisseur of hot dogs and take great pride in what some would consider a simple meal. Simple, a Chicago dog is not. It is a collection of 9 distinct components working harmoniously together to make what we affectionately call the Chicago Dog. O'Malley's is a place where the delicate balance between these nine ingredients is well understood and respected. Like building a house the structure is only as strong as its base and this same principle applies to the Chicago Dog. O'Malley's starts off with a solid foundation of an S. Rosen's Poppy Seed Bun and the fabled Vienna Beef Hot Dog. The two work together like Starsky and Hutch to set the stage for a solid dog. O'Malley's steams the bun just right. It shouldn't be too dry and shouldn't be too moist. It should be warm, soft, and pliable. Once that bun is just right, they pluck a steamed Vienna from the steamer and lay her right smack dab in the middle of that bun. Now that the heavy construction is done, it's time for some dog decorating. O'Malley's respects the classic technique and begins with a base coat of yellow mustard, followed by green relish, and diced onions. Once the base coat is laid down, O'Malley's drags it through the garden by adding sport peppers, tomato, and a kosher pickle spear. Finally, like a true artist each work must be signed and O'Malley's signature comes in the form of a healthy sprinkle of Celery Salt. Ahhhh... Encased Meat Nirvana. Best dog in the city! PS... If you want to eat at O'Malley's before a Sunday Sox game, I regretfully inform you that they are closed on Sundays. However, the double dog w/ fries at 35th Street Red Hots is an adequate substitution.

great place to go sit before a game, or for a great brat during a warm day.

  • Nicolas M.

Great food. Too pricey for Bridgeport, though... or any hot-dog stand in Chicago for that matter. It'd get four stars were it not for the prices. I live just a block away, so in the warm months I occasionally splurge on the Super Grande Nachos or whatever they call it. It's the nachos with all the shit on it. It's good. Me likey. Oh yeah, they're only open from March to November or so. If you wanna be sure, try to call beforehand. But if it's the kind of weather where your balls stick to your thighs even though you have briefs on, they're probably open and slingin' grub.

  • Tootsie N.

Hm...where to begin. I'm torn with O'malleys simply because they've been around for so long. This being said, they have some room for improvement... First, I have no idea when this place is opened because they have no times listed. Yes, i know they're "Open" March - November, but there have been quite a few nites i've walked to this joint and they're closed. There is no rhyme or reason to when they choose to open their business, although every sox game they are jumping. Besides that, this is just a typical hot dog joint. There is nothing really amazing about any of their food. True, the hot dogs are good, the burgers are good, the shakes are good, but nothing truly stands out. It's the same stuff you can get from a lot restaurants in the city. Also, I find they are a bit pricey. Last time I was there a hot dog, cheese fries, and a soda came out to about $10 - that's a bit much, in my humble opinion. However, I do love when I stop into O'Malley's. The owner is often behind the counter with the ladies, chatting it up with the customers. It is one of the friendliest quick stop diners I have ever been too. I always leave with a smile and a little bit of neighborhood gossip. Also, the location is perfect -- right on 35th street on your way to Comiskey. However, it's kind of hard to find parking, so if you're driving make sure you have a friend to jump out and pick up the food.

I love to go here for a hot dog and a hamburger before a Sox game. Me and every one else - it gets crowded before a game! Their ice cream is also quite good. And their fries. And everything else! This is your standard hot dog - beef - hamburger joint, but I'd say it's pretty high quality. And the folks that work here are real nice. I kinda wish they were open later than 8, and year round, because Morrie's sure beats Maxwell's.

Nice little hot dog/burger shop for some quick eats before a Sox game. The quality of the food here is way above average so expect everything made to your liking and when your thirsty dont pass up the great Milk Shakes too.

SOlid burgers but a bit greasy. Cash-only is a minus.

  • Willie B.

the hot dog i had was OK but nothing to write home about. the fries were ok too, but the portion was extremely small, i`d say 10 fries in a small little box. i think it`s a bit over priced for the quality and quantity.

This place contacted yelp because they didn't like the idea of me being a customer who wanted to buy some hot dogs for my family but wanted to use there bathroom and they told me they don't have a bathroom which I know they could of just let me use there(employee) bathroom since I was buying enough hot dogs for my family who was waiting in the car, and because I wrote about them not letting me use the bathroom yelp sent me an email about this and I showed them the live video of what they did to me and yelp accepted it. So there you go idiots for trying to delete my review which was totally true , you don't or shouldn't treat your customers like idiots for buying your ugly tasting hot dogs The little hit dog stand that's just east of this place is much much better and cheaper anyways, And guess what?? They let me use THERE bathroom

After all these years of going to Sox games and I had never gone to this place until yesterday. Excellent strip steak sandwich with everything (served on a garlic bread roll with A! sauce, grilled onions and mozzarella). This place is a home run. Way better than eating the mass produced stadium food. And it's just a 4 block walk (dues west) of US Cellular Field on 35th street. It's a no brainer.

Great chili dog. Went here before a game and had a chili dog and a double dog. My 11 year old son ate the same. Great fries too

Solid eats, cheap, and great toppings at Morrie O'Malley's. Not on the top tier for me personally (Devil Dawgs, Hot Doug's, Flub-a-Dub-Chub's, Franks N' Dawgs) but a solid option if you are close by or trying to get away from White Sox traffic after a game. Spartan space inside but great staff; they were kind enough to stay open a few extra minutes last Thursday night to feed our group of four. Tried the regular dog Chicago-style and one of the chili-cheese dogs, two orders of fries, and a chocolate shake. I think we dropped $17 or $18 for all of it. Tasty, the dog was a little small (had Flub the day before, so really, it's just that Morrie's serves a normal-sized hot dog), fries were perfectly cooked. If I need chow after a baseball game, I'll be back!

    (4)
  • Bianca R.

The dogs are just like a Chicago dog should be: poppy seed bun, Vienna, tomatoes and pickles bursting out the top. Loved it.

Its a Bridgeport institution, family owned place. The kids liked their hotdogs a quick after school meal and the staff were really friendly.

I stepped in a few weeks back for a soft serve ice cream cone. I stood around for a good 3 minutes before all 4 staff behind the counter greeted me after they all saw me walked in. Worst service ever. Will never go back

It finally happened: I got suckered into going somewhere just because it was on Chicago's Best. Well, not really. We were headed to a Sox game and knew we'd want to eat. As much as I don't mind ballpark food, I'm a bit of a priss when it comes to eating while standing or on my lap, squished next to people. Morrie OMalley's is definitely a good spot for ballpark/fast food if you're heading to a game. The Steak Sandwich was YUM - served on garlic bread with mozzarella cheese and A1 sauce (hold the grilled onions), what's not to like? I also had the Dreamsicle shake, which is to die for. It's straw-collapsing thick, but melted nicely in the humidity that day. The cheese fries were standard. My husband liked his hot dog and Polish sausage, he would've given Morrie OMalleys three stars, but I thought my meal was more deserving of four. All of our food, drinks, and fries added up to only $27, a steal compared to ballpark prices! There are several tables outside, where we ate as we watched the storm start to roll in before heading to the game. There are also a few stools and a counter inside, but it was super hot inside the tiny restaurant, with only a few windows open for ventilation. They also score extra points with me for having a free parking lot. I think it's $15 if you want to park here for the Sox game. Good to know: CASH ONLY! But there is an ATM inside.

    (4)
  • Peter D.

Excellent Chicago hot dog here and with fries and a soda for $5, this is the perfect place to go before or after a White Sox game. Service was fast and friendly and there is parking in the back during Sox games for $15. The dog had the traditional toppings of green relish, yellow mustard, diced onions, a pickle spear, and the tomato slices were bigger than what you may find at other spots. To top it off, they throw in a cucumber slice which is the only place I've found thus far in the city that does that. Would certainly make this place a must whenever I'm in the area for a game.

    (5)
  • Cristina G.

Very friendly folks here, family owned business and it's got great seating outdoors. The char burger is yummy and they also have soft serve which is perfect in the summer. Plus it's about half a mile from the Sox park so it's a perfect place to come and eat before heading to the game.

    (5)
  • Chris F.

This place definitely might be the best traditional hot dog in town. Hidden gem in the southside.

    (5)

Fresh dogs and delicious condiments. Ignorant employees who ignore you while you're standing right in front of them. Service here is in the serious decline. I was a customer here for 24 years. Ugh

    (2)
  • Amanda W.

Location is kind of sketchy. I locked the door of my car since it was in kind of hood-ish neighborhood. I don't usually eat hot dogs unless I'm in Chicago or New York. I ordered polish for me and regular hotdog for my son. It was a great cheap eats. ;)

Holy cow! Great chili dog, awesome service and the best steak sandwich I have ever had. So good we had to buy a couple more for the kids at home! Sooooo glad we found you and we will be back!!!

Everything is FANTASTIC about this place. Must admit...possibly the best Chicago Dog I've had since coming back from Cali. Reminds me of the dogs I ate when I was a kid! Thanks for the memories!

  • Theresa C.

Love this place! Seriously good, cheap (compared to inside the park) eats. This is a definite stop before any Sox game. They're 100 times better than anything in the Cell. The hot dogs cannot be beat. This is how a Chicago dog should be made, so listen up all you competitors. I usually order two and scarf them down. This use to be the place to eat before the game, now I'm traveling on non-Sox days just to grab a bite. Service is great and friendly. Yes it's still cash only. And the best part of this place: not a hint of Cubbie crap anywhere. Who doesn't love the old bleacher seats from Comiskey? Go Sox!

    (5)
  • Guy A.

Probably the best Chi-style grilled hot dog in Bridgeport. Steak sandwhich also great. Try the mint milkshake. Cash only can be inconvenient, and they close for part of the winter. Otherwise awesome place for fast food.

So I went off my diet for this? Had a steak sandwich . Why bother to ask me how I want it done, if your going to over cook it anyway. .I asked for medium rare. Med well is what I got. They asked me if I wanted everything, guess i missed the forward to a steak with grilled onions and cheese on garlic bread. .oooh what a disappointment. . the only time I use a-1is, if it is a crap piece of meat. . I asked for very well done cheese fries( cause of your going to cheat on your diet, go big or go home).Anyway, they were almost raw. Guess I should have stayed on my diet. .I gave it 2 stars because they were very polite, which seems to be a rarity nowadays.

Visiting this place makes me feel like a real Chicagoan. Right near Cellular field, I found this place through Yelp reviews. I highly recommend trying this place. The Chicago Dog is my favorite type of hot dog and this place does it just right. Light, flavorful and bursting with flavor!

Headed down to check this place on Sunday for lunch with my kids. It was closed. Yelp's info said the were supposed to be open. They were glad to have me park in their lot ( for a fee) for the Sox game. I won't be going back.

phone in your order during a home game (go whitesox). Im a sucker for the softserved icecream/shakes/flurries. The people who run this place are cool. open during white sox season/spring-late summer.

O'Malley's is my favorite hot dog joint in the entire city. Pros: Great hot dogs (traditional Chicago style with a pickle!) Yummy cheese fries Ice cream goodies! Big menu Italian Beef Parking lot Parking for Sox games Great Staff Cheap Friendly, neighborhood feel Cons: None. Seriously. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this place. I have been here a lot (it was around the corner from my apartment) and they have never messed up an order, it's always quick, it's convenient, the owner is in the shop hanging out and everyone is super nice. It's a great Bridgeport staple and I still eat there on my way to Sox games. I LOVE O'Malley's!

    (5)
  • Pam D.

Stopped here amid our "Exploring Bridgeport "adventure. It is a cute little spot and full of charm. The dogs were good. They add an extra to the mix, which is a spear of cucumber. It didn't do anything to enhance my Chicago dog experience, but didn't detract either. The fries were ok, but not great and they only serve Pepsi products, so I had root beer. We had planned to stop at Filbert's Root beer Factory, but they were closed, so it filled the craving! It was a beautiful day to sit outside, and the row of old Comisky Park bleacher seats added a touch of ambiance to the place.

Walking distance to US Cellular field. I had to order the Tamale boat on the menu to find out what it was, turns out it was a tamale in a chili tray. Pretty good too, not the best ever but still nothing to sneeze at. They had outdoor dining, no indoor seating and the hot dogs looked good, didn't have them though. No waiters, just fast food style perfect for a quick bite before the game.

  • Lisa L.

This is one of my favorite places in Chicago to get a real Chicago-style hot dog, and the only one I've found that still puts the cucumber slice on with everything else. The prices are insanely cheap, making it the perfect place to eat before heading up to Sox Park for a game (you can feed 2 people for the price of feeding one at the park!). Aside from great dogs, their malts are pretty great also.

Fantastic Chicago Style Hot Dogs! Need I say more? Wish they were open year-round!

  • Nida K.

Okay, so I'm liking this Morrie O'Malley's spot! I called ahead and gave them my order (chili cheese fries and a charbroiled steak sandwich - or something like that). When I got there they hadn't even made my chili cheese fries yet and I was like, "hmmm... WTF?" But... the fact that they made em in about 2 minutes and it was FRESH, made it a good thing. So the food... they use real steak! Real stuff people!! I was surprised, because usually its the ground shit and they call it steak. Nope not here it was steak! And the fries? All I have to say is, Maury can drip and splatter his chili all over my fries any time he wants. Mmmmmm... mmmm.... good. I love my Maury! Oh shit... missing star? Well. People... This is 2011! We have motherfuckers vacationing on the damn moon. So, why is it that businesses still opt out of having credit card machines!? It just doesn't make sense to me. That's my only gripe.

I love this place! I've been going here since I was a kid. I remember when it was just a small hot dog stand. Hot dogs are pure awesome. Char burgers are mouthwatering. Perfect spot to park and eat before the game. See those benefits here: blog.spothero.com/2011/0… So happy this place exists!!!

Yesterday afternoon an unexplained craving for a hot dog hit me. Who knows why but there it was. So biked the extra few blocks on my way home just to stop here to pick up a dog. (I hear from a lot of people in the hood that this is the best hot dog joint). I wound up getting the "Double Dog" with everything and charred please. It tasted perfect. It had a perfect snap to it and the toppings were fresh and it was topped well. The staff was friendly enough and they had a few items that are not standard hot dog stand offerings. They do have a couple drawbacks. They have no combo deals and the fries are extra (I'm with G.R. on that one plain fries should come with the dog) Cash only, I think since they are on the pricey side of the hot dog and burger world they really should offer a plastic money option. (they do have an ATM inside though) And as already mentioned their prices are a little high for being a hot dog stand., but I will say not as high as a couple of northside hot dog stands I've been to.

Cute place, good fast food menu all the essentials. You can even order your dog grilled, they have a sign up that there's no extra charge to have it grilled, well thanks I guess, I've never heard of a charge for having that done. You do have the grill going for burgers anyhow, so what's the deal? The food is good, I'll give them that, however no forth star because they charge for fries. I can understand charging extra if you want that liquid what they call cheese stuff put on them, but plan ole fries, no way! This place is expensive Lucy. Well at least it is the way they do it. But for this old time Chicagoan, fries always come with the dog for free. WTH, why so much about the fries, I guess it just rubs me the wrong way. And if you're a native it should bug you too. So if you need some good fast food, and don't mind paying up, this will do.

Go here for a Chicago-style hot dog, something not quite as easy to find in Chicago as one might imagine. You won't have to explain yourself, and you won't get anything other than a natural casing Vienna Beef hot dog served on a steamed poppy seed bun topped with bright, fresh, and tasty ingredients! $5 cash for the hot dog special can't be beat.

    (5)
  • sarah w.

Really good burger/dog joint! They make the burgers fresh while you wait. The mushrooms are good, beer battered. Soft serve icecream and god vienna beef hotdogs on a rosens bun. Great place to stop if you live in the neighborhood like me or your in town for a sox game.

  • Manda H.

I have come quite a few times, even on weekends ill make the drive out. Hot dogs are great, shakes are very thick (the way I like them to be) and cheese fries are to die for. Prices are more expensive than up the street or other hot dog joints. Limited seating inside. I usually like to grab a table on the patio. I do like that you can park your car on the street or in their lot. The place is crazy on game days so I try to go on a non game day or for lunch before a night game.

O'Malley's and White Sox games go hand in hand. Because of this I try to stop by before every game I see and make sure to get their charred bratwurst with mustard and grilled onions. Their hot dogs are great but I find that their brat is far superior. If I'm feeling a little spendy I'll pick up their steak sandwich with mozzarella cheese, grilled onions, and A1 sauce all on garlic bread. One of the best steak sandwiches in the neighborhood. For something sweet I'll finish the meal with a vanilla soft serve cone. Their ice cream is one of the most surprising things about this place. It's quite good. I just always assumed if you want good soft serve you need to go an ice cream shop but nope, you can get it here. The one thing that they lack in quality is their fries. I've stopped even getting them. But last weekend I thought I saw them serving a fry that looked different so hopefully they have changed their premade frozen fry ways and moved onto the fresh cut route. If this change is indeed true then I'll have no more excuses. I'll finally be able to proclaim them as the best hot dog stand in Chicago.

Great stop off-love the dogs-authentic Chicago style, fries are awesome too. Friend and I stopped off after the Sox on a Thursday, love the place. Very small, nice Sout Side ladies workin the joint too. Love the fries, mmmmmm. No bathroom which is apparently pretty common in Bridgeport. Oh well, piss off the side.

Only a block west of Sox Park this family owned stand sells some awesome dogs that you can get loaded with all the trimings. On game days they get a good crowd and are well known in this area.

Ok, I'm going to say it: the best hot dog in the city. Everything you deserve on a dog, and the poppy seed bun to go along with it. Second best aspect of this neighborhood.

Great Chicago-Style hot dogs very near Comiskey Park. Good, fast service on any day, including game day. My biggest complaint is that they raised the price to park in their lot during games from $15 last season to $25 this season. I only live a couple miles away, but driving is so much easier than fightning my way to the CTA after the game However, it's cost prohibitive now. Oh, and they're not open on Sundays - even game days! But there is someone there collecting the parking money. If they didn't gouge the fans by increasing parking from $15 to $25, they'd be a 4-star establishment!

MMmmmmmm..... two polish with everything, fries, and a milkshake please. Maybe not the healthiest, probably not the cheapest food, but it always tastes great, made fresh to order, and the atmosphere is very friendly (unless you're a Cubs fan, losers).

  • Andrew M.

  • Willie B.

the hot dog i had was OK but nothing to write home about. the fries were ok too, but the portion was extremely small, i`d say 10 fries in a small little box. i think it`s a bit over priced for the quality and quantity.

  • Jia M.

Go Sox!

    (5)

Probably the best Chi-style grilled hot dog in Bridgeport. Steak sandwhich also great. Try the mint milkshake. Cash only can be inconvenient, and they close for part of the winter. Otherwise awesome place for fast food.

Location is kind of sketchy. I locked the door of my car since it was in kind of hood-ish neighborhood. I don't usually eat hot dogs unless I'm in Chicago or New York. I ordered polish for me and regular hotdog for my son. It was a great cheap eats. ;)

Guess I should have stayed on my diet. .I gave it 2 stars because they were very polite, which seems to be a rarity nowadays.

decided to give this place a try since i pass by here from time to time.. it wasn't busy at all when i went and they have a decent size parking lot in the back.. there's no tables or chairs inside, only on the outside if you were to eat there.. the service was average.. workers didn't smile or greet but i expect that from a hot dog joint.. i ordered 2 hot dogs and a order of fries.. yes.. the hot dog doesn't come with fries like most places.. the hot dogs tasted a bit on the salty side but it wasn't bad.. i would say it is a little above average.. for the fries.. it was horrible! it looked good but it was nasty.. for some reason, it tasted kind of rubberish? not crispy.. not soggy.. not over or under fried.. but the outside taste rubberish... for 2 hot dogs and fries, it cost me 8 bucks.. but i guess its because its close to US Cellular Field.. i just didn't find this place that great..

The rudiest workers I have ever encountered and the food was so-so. I will definely pass this place up next time I'm going to a Sox game. I'd rather pay the extra money for better service and the so-so food in the Park.

    (5)
  • Willie B.

the hot dog i had was OK but nothing to write home about. the fries were ok too, but the portion was extremely small, i`d say 10 fries in a small little box. i think it`s a bit over priced for the quality and quantity.

Very friendly folks here, family owned business and it's got great seating outdoors. The char burger is yummy and they also have soft serve which is perfect in the summer. Plus it's about half a mile from the Sox park so it's a perfect place to come and eat before heading to the game.

Go Sox!

Location is kind of sketchy. I locked the door of my car since it was in kind of hood-ish neighborhood. I don't usually eat hot dogs unless I'm in Chicago or New York. I ordered polish for me and regular hotdog for my son. It was a great cheap eats. ;)

decided to give this place a try since i pass by here from time to time.. it wasn't busy at all when i went and they have a decent size parking lot in the back.. there's no tables or chairs inside, only on the outside if you were to eat there.. the service was average.. workers didn't smile or greet but i expect that from a hot dog joint.. i ordered 2 hot dogs and a order of fries.. yes.. the hot dog doesn't come with fries like most places.. the hot dogs tasted a bit on the salty side but it wasn't bad.. i would say it is a little above average.. for the fries.. it was horrible! it looked good but it was nasty.. for some reason, it tasted kind of rubberish? not crispy.. not soggy.. not over or under fried.. but the outside taste rubberish... for 2 hot dogs and fries, it cost me 8 bucks.. but i guess its because its close to US Cellular Field.. i just didn't find this place that great..

Go Sox!

Really good burger/dog joint! They make the burgers fresh while you wait. The mushrooms are good, beer battered. Soft serve icecream and god vienna beef hotdogs on a rosens bun. Great place to stop if you live in the neighborhood like me or your in town for a sox game.
