I must have been starving or the food was just so tasty when I had the steak burrito for here because I devoured it in a matter of mins. Along with the awesome guacamole. Another great plus for them is Mi Pueblo does not have to compete with all the other taco joints on Clark street in Rogers Park. The burrito was nice and normal along with not over stuffed / bursting from all the fillings. The guacamole had the utmost flavor and nothing was over powering. May look like a hole in the wall place but don't judge it by appearance. And another great reason I love this place its a 5 minute walk from my place.

Here it comes again.... The need for Mexican food. Decided to try this place out since it got good reviews. The place is pretty small with 5 tables. Some decorations and a refrigerator with drinks, salsa, and desserts. Had to wait couple of mins which was no biggie. Ordered a horchata, chorizo taco , al pastor taco and a carne asada tostada. If you dine in they give you chips salsa and a bowl of beans. Chips and salsa: chips were good. Salsa a little spicy. They had other ones that I didn't know until I looked at the refrigerator. One big problem... The salsa I had contained chunks of meat. Not sure if it was reused or it fell in. Told the waitress and she looked and got me a new cup. Chorizo taco: parts of the meat were burnt. I didn't mind cause I enjoy the crispness. Had some onions, cilantro, and grilled onions. Overall I enjoyed the taco. Al pastor taco: marinated really well with pieces of pineapple. Again with cilantro and onions. Enjoyed this taco also. Carne asada tostada. There was a layer of beans covered by the meat, some sour cream, tomatoes , cilantro , and onions. The carne asada was tender and juicy. My only complaint was that it had way to many pieces of fat. Horchata: delicious. Def hit the spot. The place does take credit card with a minimum of 5 dollars. The waitress was nice and apologized for the wait but not the salsa. No biggie since she was having a busy/rough day. Overall, this place is pretty decent. And if I could I would give them 3.5.

I have ordered from here twice already. The first time it was okay and the second was great. The first time the meat was flavorful but not really something to be happy about. The second time today right now. Yum! I really like their rice and horchata. Reasonable prices and fast delivery. Good place bruh

Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is so good. Fresh veggies!! So good! Not greasy at all. Chips and salsa are good as well. And extremely fast.

I had a craving for a taco and this place hit he spot. He tacos were delicious. I just wish they would put more tomatoes on the tacos. Other than that the tacos hit the spot. I will definitely I will go back.

The food here was very good with generous portions. The salsa was a bit bland and only one flavor, but other than that definitely a good place to order from.

Mexican food!! I love this little restaurant. Best part is it just 2 minutes away from me. Their food are really good and the place is well maintain. The cashier are always polite. The food usually take about 6+ minutes to cook. If you're dining in they serve you chips and Salsa. The only reason I'm rating it with only 3 stars is because it's a small restaurant. But if you're close by and hungry please go here...you won't regret it.

Huge excellent burritto. extremely nice lady over the counter. Burrito it's almost impossible to eat because it's so big and full of veggies not only beans. The flan was also excellent

Decent food, pretty authentic. It's a little hole in the wall so you have to look out for it when you're driving by. The burritos are almost impossible to finish in one sitting.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
