Recommended to me by a friend....and I must say I'm really impressed with there food. And have become a regular. The place has been open for about 40 years...family owned . If you happen to stop by ....There Italian beef is a must!!!..don't forget to add cheddar cheese to it. Plenty of parking also.

If you've been in the Belmont-Cragin area you already know there's not too many interesting choices for food around here. Marco's is my family's go to spot! My mom has been a fan since she was younger, and Marco's apparently was at another location. You see the thing with Marcos is they have SAZON! (seasoning skills) you can have what they sell anywhere, but you won't find the seasoning... and so that's why we always come back :) Thanks Marco's... for giving us a place to eat at BCragin after a long day at work. Favorite choices: 1. Grilled chicken sandwich (ask for cheese) 2. Steak sandwich (personally, my favorite in the city....steak is amazing) 3. Their fried chicken

Rosa J.'s quest on finding the best Italian beef sandwich continued after a trip to the nearby Unique Thrift Store. I found Marco's via my trusty pillow-mate, the yelp app. (I have to yelp before I go to sleep, each and everyday)! There's a plenty of parking for customers. They do accept credit cards. Yes, it's slightly pricer for the Belmont Central neighborhood standard. However, I don't think the price for the Italian beef sandwich was ridiculous at all. For $0.50 more, you will get a small fountain pop and fries. Of course, there's an extra charge for adding sweet or hot peppers: $0.50 in addition. If you frequent one of those neighborhood hotdog and sandwich joints, they typically charge $0.50 to $0.75 for that extra add-on. With that being said, it's a little more than $8 for the entire meal. Hubby also had a slice of cheese pizza ($2.40). Well, because he wasn't hungry, he went with this option. I personally would order something else other than that expensive slice of pizza. I think Marco's Italian beef sandwich had one of the juiciest beef I've had. However, it was very messy to eat because they really "immersed" that sandwich like a baptism! Anyways, the au jus was delicious. The fries, on the other hand, were alright. If you're a fan of crinkled fries, then you will have a better praise on those fries. I think it was worth the trip to explore Marco's. This place didn't, indeed, disappoint me.

Marcos beef and pizza has by far one of the best, if not the best Italian beef sandwich in Chicago!! Try the sandwich juicy with hot peppers. Excellent crinkle cut french fries, and pizza. Good customer service, very clean qresturant, and quick delivery service. A must try!!!!

Marco's is okay my family and me order there probably once a month. My favorites on their menu is their beef and their gyros are okay. Need to be a little more friendly to customers. The rib tips are nasty. The pizza is okay and their delivery time is excellent.

Good beef and sausage combo. The beef was good but the sausage was out of this world. Extremely juicy and succulent. Price was a bit high for lunch $11.00 for a sandwich, drink and fries.

The owner of this place definitely don't care about his customers we have ordered several times from him which this time was a surprise me and my roommates had separated orders we were trying to order on the phone and he got real nasty and arrogant he will not get a dime of my money again

For a fast food place, their food delivers and their service is great and friendly and clean. Huge menu selection but I tend to go for the delicious broasted chicken and try their Italian beef-it's one of the best in their neighborhood!Make sure to order the beef juicy because when in Chicago, that's what we typically do. And if your brave enough, order the hot peppers on the side and add to taste! One down side, is their FF-very disappointing! Reminds me of the frozen ore-Ida crinkle type you buy in your frozen super-market section instead of the usually Chicago type of home-cut FF w/skin on. Overall, a good spot to to try vs the many fast-food chain surrounding it.

Whenever I have a taste for an Italian beef, Marcos is the spot. It's up there with Johnny 's in Elmwood Park, but unlike Johnny' s I don't have to stand in a line for an hour to get one. Besides the beefs, I've had the pizza slices and they are decent. The grilled chicken salad is also good and comes with olive oil and red vinegar and a small piece of French bread for those looking for a healthy options. They also have other options like sausage sandwiches, chicken tenders, broasted chicken, hamburgers, etc. And they aren't that expensive and they have an extra value meal also under $10.

Best beef and gyros in my area. Great place, you could never go wrong with Marcos. Great service, good food and fast even on busy days. The best part it is walking distance from my house, which is a good thing.

Poor customer service, not very clean. Perfect example, winter we ordered a salad and brought home to find a fly in it. How in the world is there a fly in the winter? So Gave a second chance in the summer and had to deal with people who don't want to work there.

We had some really good Italian Beef sandwiches on a recent visit to see my best buddy and fellow Yelper, Jean C. The delivery arrived in good time and all was as ordered. The beef sandwiches were tasty and the meat was tender and lean. Mine was loaded with sweet and hot peppers, both of which were very flavorful without overpowering the sandwich. I also got some hot wings. They were ok, but not great, but I will certainly take the opportunity to have the beef sandwiches again. Well worth it.

I can't comment on the actual restaurant itself because I have never been inside of the place. However, my coworkers and I order from here about once every week or two and they have yet to disappoint any of us. I usually opt for a vegetarian option (pepper and egg) which is perfectly done. The guys have had everything from their gyro burgers, to their chicken kabobs, to their Greek chicken, everything has been spot on. Whoever takes the phone calls is always fast talking but gets the order exactly right every single time, and food is always delivered in less time than estimated on the phone. If the food is this good being delivered, I'm sure its even better when you eat in.

I stopped in here and got a couple of slices of pizza and I have to say I was underwhelmed. It was a very bland experience. The cheese and toppings were ok, nothing great but ok. The problem was for my taste preferences the pizza sauce and the crust were not very flavorful. If it was my place I'd definitely use a different pizza sauce and at the very least brush some garlic butter on the crust. Personally I prefer pizza crusts that have a nice yeasty flavor, but maybe that wouldn't work for other customers. Based on the pizza I don't think I'd return. However, after reading the reviews maybe I will stop in and try their gyro burger or wings since I read good things about them. If my next experience is either better or worse I'll update my review at that time.

I've eaten here many times due to co-workers but I must say, I'm never fully satisfied. I've always had something not so great going on with my meal. Today I ordered a polish with fries and got the poorest portion of fries. $4.95 and it's like that's what I paid for only a polish. I can go to my preferred places and get more in portion size including better quality for about $3. That's sad, especially in Chicago. My boss ordered wings, asked for hot sauce and never got it. Let's remind you Marco's, wings are usually eaten with HOT SAUCE or a sauce of some sort... Thanks for the loads of ketchup we didn't care for. Sorry but this will be my last time here. Good luck!

Ive only gone there twice. Their Gyros are very delicious, they are not cheap on the extra sauce and boy is it good. I will definately go back and try their Italian beef. Very clean place.

I have to say I've been jonesing for good Italian beef, and frankly, I hadn't found a place who would deliver to us that had the quality I want in my beef sandwiches. So I put it to my fellow Yelpers and the name Marco's came up. Okay, sez I, I will take that chance. I'm glad I did because what I got was a superior beef sandwich. It was everything a good Italian beef sandwich should be, IMO. Thin, tender, flavorful, moist, generous, seated on good, crispy bread and loaded with sweet and hot peppers. We ordered them dipped and they arrived with just the right amount of gravy so that the bread held together down to the last few bites, but was tasty all the way down to the end. Damn these people are good! They know their beef. Along with the beef we got a large order of fries. I'm not nuts about crinkle cut, but these were good. They were properly fried so they were powdery on the inside, and (reasonably) crisp on the outside. There was just enough food to satisfy without leaving either a lot of leftovers or a pair of people moaning about having eaten too much. Not bad for $10 each, delivered, and delivered in good time by a very nice man. Why not 5 stars? Well unless I'm bowled over I don't tend to do 5 stars on first acquaintance. And also... their Fizzy Brown choices were RC (ugh) or Diet Rite (better but definitely not my first choice for diet Fizzy Brown. If, after a few more meals I'm impressed enough with the food consistently, I may overcome my aversion to RC and award that fifth star. Time will tell. Until then, if you want really good beef delivered to the Portage Park area, Marco's is the place to call. They're polite and professional, and they serve terrific food.

The receptionist (order Taker) is so rude and unreliable with delivery addresses and the orders she takes that I knock it down 3 stars. She makes it to were you will never want to order from there ever again. BUT they do have the best chicken wings and italian beef in chicago.

Marco's is one of those places on my mental list when lunchtime arrives at work. It's kind of out of the way, but the drive is worth it for their decent food. Nothing I have ever eaten here has been mindbogglingly delicious, but it satisfies. Prices are a bit high for this type of fare, but I suspect the higher prices are a way to recoupe after Marco's recently upgraded. Pizza by the slice is good, cheese fries are as well. Some of the guys order beefs and they like them; I am not a fan of Italian beef any way you look at it. This place is rather small and the usual clientele can be unsavory and boisterous, so don't come here with your young kids unless they have been raised on Maury Povich and Cops all their short lives and have been desensitized. For me, it all adds to the atmosphere. I love this place for that stuff. Don't know why...kinda just reminds me why I love this city so much.

Been coming here for 20yrs and will keep ordering from Marcos. The sliced pizza is good but tastes better when you order a whole pizza. The beefs and combos are great and they offer a variety of dinners. The staff are friendly and it's funny how they interact with each other. The orders are always correct and ready when you pick them up. I will agree that some of the people that come in are characters but that just adds to the fun of this place.

Marco's went all out to increase business they more than double the parking space's, by buying the corner property. Beside that they have the best Gyro's beef, no lamb, cook on a spit fire till crisp. The beef and pizza are very good. and the hot dog's comes with crinkle fries and they have great Broasted chicken. Beside the great Service and much, much more you won't leave Hungry! your sure to come back. P. S. the beef sandwich is packed ! with BEEF! not pre- weighted. The homemade hot peppers are unique your sure to buy more for home .

The food is tasty, fantastic Italian Beef, I've been going here for over 10 years. But I could swear over the last 10 years things are getting smaller. Maybe it's my imagination? But I could swear the beef has gotten shorter and the gyros has gotten thinner (less meat vs. several years ago). They are both excellent though so order two if you have to.

Outstanding fast food place. Great whole pizzas or slices. There are a wide variety of items on this menu and I'm sure there is something for everyone. I love the gyros! You can eat in, carry out or have your food delivered. Everyone loves Marco's!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
