Based on other reviews of this location, this shop should be: 1. Closed by city health department inspectors. 2. Raided by either the ICE or the CPD Gang Crimes Unit. 3. Bitch-slapped for charging--OMG, $7 for a sandwich. Take your pick because I'm not believing much of what the other reviews say, especially the mildly offensive comment about a worker's tattoo. As for their pricing, it's nothing different from other downtown locations, and prices are comparable to the other Aon Center fast food restaurants. Never mind that Jimmy Johns is, at its heart, nothing more than a sandwich shop. It doesn't pretend to be an antique store selling sandwiches. If you like Potbelly's, with their 20-minute wait times and over-baked bread, by all means, please step over to Illinois Center. But this Jimmy John's location is fine. Though they offer paltry seating, I rarely have a problem getting a seat if I hang out for a few minutes. Refillable sodas, super fast service, NORMAL chips (as opposed to those itsy-bitsy Vitner bags Potbelly's sells) and sandwiches that can be customized with the basics including sprouts (most ingredients for no extra charge).

BUY ER BEWARE my CREDIT CARD AND PERSONAL INFORMATION WAS STOLEN from here after my last order.... store #1037 225 N Michigan AVE I have been a huge fan of Jimmy Johns for a long time. Great food and fast, consistent delivery, until I found out that my credit card, and personal information had been stolen after this last order. ALL of my credit card information, name, address ect, were stolen to make a fraudulent XBOX live account, which charged 74.99 to my debit card. The reason that I suspect that is was someone employed at this location, is this account was created and closed the same evening of my Jimmy John's order. The reason I suspect that it is someone employed at this location, is because it is the only instance that someone would have had access to not only my credit card information, but also my name an address to enable them to make a fraudulent online purchase. My last Jimmy John's order is the only time in the past few weeks that I have used my debit card, and it seems more of a coincidence that a fraudulent charge would be charged on my debit card shortly after my last order. The reason I know it is a fraudulent charge, is because I do not, nor have I ever owned an XBOX, nor do I have an XBOX live account.

Man, harsh reviewers around these parts. These guys are good and fast. The prices are exactly the same as shops in Skokie or Glenview, so not sure if people are just complaining at Jimmy John's or this location in general.

Really, only 2 stars here? Maybe I am just bias on all Jimmy Johns because I absolutely love them. This place is convenient to my workplace, quick and efficient. The price is expected being as it is downtown. But what I don't get is that their wheat bread actually has more calories/fat then that french bread. Ironic! That being said, I have no problem with this place and will continue to spend my $10 :)

I've never really understood the fascination with Jimmy John's... Their sandwiches are OK but I've never been blown away, and most of the sandwiches I've had I've found to be kind of bland. And they nickel and dime to death. Today I had the best one I've ever had probably--the Italian Night Club... It's Italian cuts of meat on...French bread though? well, I should say what they call French--the real French would be appalled at it though. It actually reminds me a lot of what Subway's bread used to be. (I do know that their bread contains no high fructose corn syrup, which is more than Subway can claim). The Vito is a more stripped down version, taking out some of the meats... it is decent though tastes nothing like a real Italian sub. The menu encourages you to order peppers with it as if it's free ("(Hot peppers by request)"), but it's actually an extra charge for hot peppers (something most other places wouldn't charge extra for). I will say though that without the hot peppers this would've just been another ordinary sandwich with shredded lettuce and too much onion. Don't get me wrong, I'd order it again, but the sandwich itself doesn't even come close to comparing to a real deal Italian sub from one of the real deal Italian grocers in Chicago. Also, a lot of their sandwiches don't include cheese and that's an extra charge as well. Many hours after eating here I got terribly sick for a few hours. Not saying it was food poisoning, but their peppers definitely didn't agree with me--but oddly only from this location! (I've repeated this experiment a few times to make sure I'm not crazy). I don't know if they have food storage issues or what. Don't be fooled by the workers wearing plastic gloves... does that really help when you sit and witness someone covering their mouth while sneezing into their plastic glove (as i saw when i was there?)? OK in a pinch if you need a really bland sandwich I guess.

If you want an average and quick sandwich, this place is totally fine. If you are expecting some kind of gourmet experience, you should have your head examined. The kids who work here are nice and work fast. It's typically 2 minutes from the time I order to the time I'm walking out the door.

I ate my last Jimmy John's sandwich ever yesterday. More expensive and way less flavorful than Potbelly. $7 for a sandwich and Diet Coke - no chips, cookies, anything...whatev Jimmy. You're dead to me.

I'm one of the 3 people in the world that actually like Jimmy John's (more than Potbelly's, yes I said it). I think this location is still getting its act together because it just opened. All I have to say is my friend ordered the standard, tried and true, Turkey Tom and ran back up to our 62nd floor to eat lunch and they forgot the turkey. On her turkey sandwich. I laughed hard, I did.

I had a very unfortunate situation occur when ordering for a work meeting today. I entered my address online to order, was given a store, and placed my order. The order was due at 11:30 and at 11:34 I received a call and asked if I had received the order. When I replied no, they stated they had transferred the order and that store had called. I received no call and can provide my call log. I went down to hand deliver the order. This has now affected the meeting timeline and 20 people's orders. The current wait time is 1 hour late and still waiting. When asking for compensation regarding the predicament, I was told it was my fault for not answering my phone (again, I didn't receive a call) and they could do nothing. I asked for a number I could call and the number is out of order. As someone who deals with customer complaints, this is not the way to handle them. ***updated review based on the fact that once I finally reached the owner/manager, she rectified the situation quickly and refunded the money on the large order. She then personally gave me her email and phone number so that she could help with orders in the future.

In my opinion Jimmy Johns is basically a 3-4 star place all around. You know what you're paying for when you go in so you shouldn't expect a gourmet sandwich from a deli. This location is: -Fast during the lunch rush -Accepts online orders to skip the line -Does not charge extra for peppers (maybe this changed!) -Ran me 7 dollars for a sandwich and a bag of chips (multiple times) -Easily accessible and inside on cold winter days like today -Has the best ever rated post office just a short walk away in case you need stamps or something! I'll be back when I don't feel like dealing with Snarf's cause their online system is down or something.

It's Jimmy John's, right? How could anything go wrong with this solid franchise? Well, my wife and I walked into this store tucked in the Aon Building and were craving Jimmy John's. We were the only two customers who entered. Out of the three workers there, not one acknowledged that we were there. They were cleaning up, so I thought they were closing. I politely asked after about 1 minute standing at the counter, "Are you closed?" One worker looked at the open sign outside and said, "No." She then went on like no one was there. Another worker than came to the counter and just stared at us. My wife and I placed our orders and left. I hate it when I read bad reviews about the service but it was so bad, it had to be mentioned. We went on to find a seat at Millennium Park to watch a movie. Excited to sink our teeth into the soft bread of Jimmy John's, we took a bite and found out quickly that the bread tasted old and stale. This was my worst restaurant experience that I've had in a long time. I can deal with the bad customer service, but the bad food just was too much. This Jimmy John's on Randolph in the Aon building will not get another penny from this customer.

The food is fine (it tastes like Jimmy John's). This is mostly for the ratio of correctly made orders to incorrectly made orders. To the extent that changing an order at Jimmy's normally includes but is not limited to "no mayo" or "with peppers," I'm always amazed at the frequency with which my order is screwed up here. If anything, asking for the omission of an item should, in theory, expedite the process of making a sandwich. I really thought we were living in a post-mayo world, people.
