I really like jersey mikes, but there is one thing you should do if you go there when you order your sandwich and they ask if you want it mikes way be sure to tell them that you want the seasonings and then the vinagar and oil on before the tomatoes because if you have them put the vinagar and oil on the tomatoes it all splashes right off because the pulp on the tomatoes will not let the liquid go through, if you have them put it on before the tomatoes it really soaks into the shredded lettuce nice and creates a more jucier sandwich try it once and you will never go back, so next time you go try it YOUR way

Our office ordered from here today for lunch. I got the chefs salad. The salad was one of the worst I have ever had in my life. I would have given this place 1* but they came on time so I give them 2*. The salad was not really a salad at all. It was the shredded lettuce that goes on top of a sub and then some cheese and ham. That was it. Nothing else! I do give this place credit because the salad was $8 and the cost of the salad to them was like $0.50. They got some great profit margins there. Next time the office orders from here I will either try a different salad or go somewhere else.

I give the Jersey Mikes @120 N . Wells in Chicago 1 star . The manager there Renaldo is very rude and should not have a job if it was up to me. They do not honor the 4.99 coupon on yelp if you check in. He gets an attitude if you why he not going to accept the offer off yelp. SOMEONE PLEASE FIRE THAT MAN. he should not be in food service.

every time I'm confused bout lunch this place comes on my mind and now I go there everyday.... No. 43, chips and soda! Very friendly working staff and very efficient. It gets packed at lunch time that why i tend to go late!

Good service in the Loop. -1Star because they wouldn't accept the Yelp check-in promotion :(

People behind the counter mumble, so it's hard to interact with them sometimes (not all, but most of them). The sammiches are good, but they're so stingy with the meat, makes you wonder why you are paying $8-9 for bread. Also, I ordered a cup of soup and they filled it half way... another rip off. The Jersey Mike's in the burbs was way better and there are so many other options in this particular area of the loop, why bother? Hey Jersey Mike's corporates: you need to make the experience more consistent across locations and stop nickel and diming me on the lunch meat.

Wow, I just had a really embarassing experience at this Jersey Mike's The guy before me was getting a ham sandwich. I don't eat ham for religious reasons, so I asked if the lady could change her gloves before touching my sandwich even though she had already touched it. She complied. However, she later gave me attitude saying "What do you not want me to not touch?" Then the guy at the register chimed in and I explained to him in simple terms that I am Kosher and I don't eat swine and all I wanted was her to change her gloves. He was looking at me like I'm an alien. I don't understand why they had such a big problem understanding this. Meanwhile everyone is looking at me like I asked something weird. What's the irony here? Jersey Mike's is from the east coast where this request due to dietary restrictions for not eating swine would not even be questioned. The second is that it shares a space with the Jewish Federation. LOL. Seriously, someone train these people and cut it with the attitude when someone asks you to do something non-cookie cutter. Even Subway won't make a big deal with this request. Will not be returning even though I work two blocks away. Awful service. As for the sandwich, I've lost my appetite and I don't think I'm going to eat it anyway even though I paid for it.

Came for the first time a few days ago. I ordered the Original Italian - Mike's Way without onions. The veggies were fresh and he put a good amount of the vinegar and seasoning, but I still felt it was bland. I did like that cornmeal like crunch that the bottom of the bread had. They are pricier than other sandwich shops. I'm not sure if I would return, but the workers there were all very nice. Very clean inside. Also, boo they offer Pepsi and not Coke.

For as many people as they move through this store at lunch time, they somehow manage to maintain consistency. Friendly people working there, very efficient and best of all...great Jersey Mike's subs! Had a #8...it was delish! Even better...got a coupon for my first Check-In. I'm a comin' back baby!

Let me tell you something; if you haven't tried Jersey Mike's yet, you need to try it. I've had a lot of sandwiches from a lot of chains, but this is by far my favorite sandwich shop. Yea I said it. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is fantastic, and it's reasonably priced. I say try your sandwich Mike's way: onions, oil, vinegar, and Italian seasoning. They also have this spicy pepper sandwich spread that is vinegary and delicious, and nice thickly sliced pickles. I allow myself to eat out to lunch once a week, and every week I say I'm"m going to try a new restaurant, but all I can think about is the deliciousness of Jersey Mike's. And no offense to my fellow yelpers, but Jimmy John's ain't got nothin on Jersey Mike's.

I got a coupon here for a sub while attending a fundraiser for a fair housing group - so they're supportive of local community organizations. +1 there. Then the subs! Subway had me giving up on subs - I didnt know they could be delicious. Jersey Mikes made me a believer again! Ive just had the big kahuna sub and the philly cheesesteak sub so far. Their bread is really soft and holds the sandwich together so you can eat it without it falling all over the place - a pet peeve I have with sandwiches in general. Ill be there again this week. Lots of cheese and great tasting ingredients. Yum!

I've eaten here 5-10 times with a friend from work. The first time I was underwhelmed. I'm not sure if they didn't put enough of the spices on top or what but it was kinda bland. Luckily, we gave it another chance since we had a BOGO card. I'd say that the sub is up there with Jimmy John's and better than Subway or Potbelly. The meat and cheese are all sliced to order and the bread has a little fight to it, unlike the Subway "white bread" rolls. I'd also recommend asking them to go easy on the red vinegar, especially if you're getting it to go. Even eating there the first time my bread was a soggy mess from sitting in the vinegar pool! Why the 3 stars, then? They are about 25% more expensive than Jimmy John's. Me being a cheapass, I've never paid full price. Early on we had BOGO deals and then they handed out free chip and drink coupons on the street which I stocked up on. If you check in on Yelp, you can currently (Feb 2012) get a sandwich for $4.99 or you can buy a $10 certificate on Yelp for $8. Look for a deal and it's a good place to go. Otherwise $11 for a regular sandwich, drink, chips and tax at a fast food place is kind of expensive.

Pretty decent sandwich place. I had the popular Philly cheese with everything. its a hot sandwich. I liked it but I would not say it was amazing. Just something different to fill me up.

so good! so so good! its a good spot for a hearty, filling sandwich. i generally get the italian on white mike's way. gotta do it mike's way. hot sandwich persons out there should try the pepper cheese steak. omg! mind blown! cheesy, gooey, savory goodness. its the next best thing to a true philly. this location is tucked away off the beaten path on wells so the line during lunch isn't bad at all. i was in and out at 12:30pm within 5 minutes. i have a 30min lunch break and every minute is precious. you business people know what i'm talking about. the staff is also very efficient and know your time is valuable.

Our sandwiches were good, probably 4 out of 5 stars good. I had a number 8 and my boyfriend had a number 9. However, I had some issues with my most recent visit (today). First, apparently the gentleman working messed up the order of the person in front of me (made the wrong sandwich) and didn't much make much of an offer to fix it. As he was cleaning the topping space from her two Mike's way sandwiches, he took the wayward leftover a pile of oil, vinegar and spices covered lettuce and threw it back in the lettuce bin. GROSS! I hope there's no one allergic the said toppings getting lettuce on their sandwiches. As he was making my boyfriend's #9, he starting making the wrong sandwich. Luckily I was paying attention. Also, instead of asking if we wanted our subs Mike's way, gentleman number 2 just picked up the oil and was about to go to town until I quickly stopped him. I may enjoy a Mike's way sub here and there but you shouldn't assume. In my opinion all stars should be lost just because of the lettuce incident.

I was excited to hear they were finally using Bacci's old space for something, and what better then a Jersey Mike's... I don't understand the other yelpers who say it's disgusting. What are you comparing it to? Subway? That's disgusting... They cut the deli meat right in front of you while it's being prepared. Also the manager of this location, is always in a cheerful mood, and is always on the line helping out. I will continue to visit this place...

I wanted pastrami. Not that cheap ass Jewel kind that won't whet your palate, the good New York Deli Katz's style piping hot, savory with every bite, pastrami at its highest form. No, I did not find that here, but I did find a shorter line by going to Jersey Mike's at about 1:30pm. PROS: Lots of food to choose from, salads, cold subs, hot subs. You can choose from regular sized sub or giant sub. Your best best is likely to stick with a regular sub since a giant sub seems like it's over a foot long. CONS: The line. Sigh, the line - even with a billion people working furiously at breakneck paces to get your sandwich made, there is always a line! I thought a line of 10 people would be immaterial but the wait time was a bit excessive for my tastes. I got my pastrami and the meat was terrific but not otherworldly. It was above average and hit my pastrami fix. The bread was fresh but wasn't crispy after toasting. For under $7 I got lunch but will stop in next time I have a serious pastrami itch, but meh otherwise.

I just went to Jersey Mike's with my boyfriend for lunch. We had a buy-one-get-one-free card. It was my first time eating there but his second. I had the turkey club in a tub which is all the same fixings in a sandwich but minus the bread and thrown in a bowl with lots of lettuce. it was so tasty and so filling even without the bread. I loved Jersey Mike's - the place was clean, lots of tables to sit at and the workers were very nice, quick and efficient. I will definiately be going back for lunch soon! Bring your appetite and wallet because the portions are big and so is the price :-)

Wanted to try an alternative to the Subway-Jimmy Johns-Quiznos merry go round so I gave Jersey Mike's a go. Verdict: Not bad. Had the tuna sub and it tasted ok, I like the bread on their subs. The location on Wells gets crowded, so if you plan on going there on your lunch break, expect a bit of a wait in their long lines.

yummy. I usually get the chicken cheese steak or turkey and provolone.

The meat and cheese is sliced right onto your bread. Doesn't get much fresher than that!

WORST TURKEY SUB EVER!! I went around 1pm weekday afternoon, lots of people in line and the line moved damn slow. Got a turkey sub, Mike's way. IT WAS DRY, DRY, DRY, DRYER THAN THE SAHARA!! The chip choices were lame, no baked Lays. Also over priced, I got the sub and chips no drink. I should have went to Mr. Sub where I could get a delicious moist sub, baked Lays and a soda pop for TWO DOLLARS LESS THAN I PAID FOR A CRAPPY SUB AND CHIPS AND JERSEY MIKE'S. This place is for people whose taste buds have died!

I'm a big fan of Jersey Mike's. Good food, fresh toppings, and a wide variety of choices! I prefer the cold subs to the hot subs since I feel like it retains more of the freshness... the service is quick and the people behind the counter are friendly. The only issue is that these are pretty pricey for a lunchtime sandwich...

Just got back from eating there. Had a philly cheesesteak and it was good. The bread was fresh. I went at 12:45 there was a ton of people but the line moved. Would go back again.

If I'm in the mood for a great sandwich for lunch I go to Jersey Mikes. Their food is so fresh and they cut the meat right there in front of you. I love the #13 Original Italian that made Jersey Mikes famous. It has provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni (As you can tell I love meat!) I always make sure to get my sandwich Mike's way which adds onions, oil, vinegar and italian seasoning. Jersey Mikes is the place to go for a fresh sandwich that will be sure to fill you up.

Our favorite subs- we walk past the Subway in our building, past the Pot Bellies and head to Jersey Mike's. The staff is super friendly and the food tastes homemade, delicious, juicy and memorably. I just had a breakfast sandwich and it was refreshing to watch them cook an egg and put it on the croissant and wrap it in aluminum foil. I like their simple loyalty program (just use your phone number at check out) and their location right by the train stop.

Good ass "fast" subs - both hot and cold. Why do I like them? Because they are consistently good and - well, simple. You walk in, look up at the board, pick the sandwich by the number, the size, white or wheat bread, and whether you want it Mike's way (also explained on the board), if not, tell them what you want on it - and you don't have to pick from a ton of toppings, a nice basic choices. The clincher for me is that they cut the meats and cheeses in front of you on a slicer - nice and thin - so thin in fact that even I eat meat - normally I shy away from meat subs - but not from Jersey Mikes - and this place PACKS on the meat - These suckers have a nice solid weight to them from all the meats. (I feel like pig for saying that) Anyway - in this particular location, it's pretty much an assembly line - no time to get to know the staff - unlike the Niles location I also frequent, which is much more relaxed. But it's expected given the larger volume of people - I have to give to them credit, they crank out those sandwiches at a nice pace! Some good stuff here...

Finally, got to try a Jersey Mike's Subs... and here are my findings. At this location, the manager was extremely friendly and prompt. I did arrive prior to the lunch time crowd as I was the only person there. I was given a free beverage and coupons since I was a first time customer. I ordered the tuna sandwich... since it is still Lent for some people.... The tuna seemed moist, wet almost and to a degree bland. It was a clean, fresh taste in comparison. The tuna was nicely spread out over the bread, which was a switch. I felt there weren't as many topping I am used too. The bread was very good too. Very pleased. I think my overall experience was quite positive however I remain a loyal Subway fan. I like there are more options than just Subway around these days. The American palette is changing for health reasons and your typical greasy hamburger and salty French fries at McDonald's or the like, may not be the best choice for lunch going forward. I will be back to Jersey Mike's! ... Good Luck!
