I actually do like this place. The prices are right and the food is delicious and the portions are huge! I have yet to be disappointed from this place and I do hope that I never will be. Today I ordered the crab ragoon, which was a lot that I shocked myself when I couldn't finish it all. That's a sad day in my eating history. I always finish my crab ragoon but not today I guess. I also had the fried shrimp, which I come to realize that I am not a fan of. It was good, but it was more of a medium size shrimp that had been overly breaded took fool the eye into thinking that your eating a large or extra large shrimp when your not. So that was disappointing, it was good but not as good as I thought it would be. I also had the shrimp fried rice which was cooked to perfection and the shrimp and broccoli dish which was also good, However my only complaint is that the broccoli could have been cooked more. It was just a little too under done. I am going through a no meat phase in my life so this is why you see all of these seafood dishes plus I am a true fan of seafood so its ok. Overall this is my spot on the southside if I am ever looking for some good Chinese food.

I love love love this place and I was so upset that I moved out of the delivery area...but I will take the drive just to get their orange chicken wings...oh just the thought of these big flavorful wings makes me do my signature happy dance...and you would have thought I found gold when I found an old menu from this place because I had lost my phone which meant I didn't have the number and because I always got my food via delivery I had never been to the establishment so I am so happy and I will be going there for sure this weekend. Since, I have only experienced this pace via delivery that is what my review will be on as well as the food. It was fast and the driver was always so nice and pleasant even when one day I had 4 dollars in change. Besides the orange chicken wings they have great egg rolls, crab ragoon, shrimp and lobster sauce, egg foo young, Mongolian chicken, and they also have special combo plates so if my experience is just as good when I step into the doors of this place as it was when they delivered...I will give them 5 stars because they deserve it!

Hello tasty nibblers out there! I wanted to write about my favorite Chinese delivery place near my home. It is HUA'S Open Kitchen. Located right next door to Gomez Tacos in near South Chicago. One of my favorite delivery options is Chinese takeout and Hua' s gives you a FREE egg roll or soda with $10.00 or more or a FREE Small Shrimp Fried Rice with $20.00 or more purchase. The portions are large and I save mine for lunch the next day. I always order from their special combination plate section on the back of the menu. Almost all combos are $5.50 or less! They include 2 pc Crab Rangoon or 1 Egg Roll and a Shrimp Fried Rice or White rice with any of the following entrees: Vegetable Delight, Szechwan Beef or Chicken, Orange Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Pepper Steak, Shrimp Chop Suey, General Tso's Chicken. Kung Po Chicken, Mongolian Beef/Chicken, Shrimp Egg Foo Young (2), Fried Chicken Wings (6 pc) and my favorite Chicken with Cashew Nuts! The Chicken with Cashews was great. The gravy was not too thick and had a very light taste of soy. It was more vegetable stock and plum sauce. It had a good mix of nuts to veggies which I like. Over all a good dish with lots of zucchini and carrots! I bet you to try and compare HUA's with Kwan's and you will see the difference. Call right now at 773-375-1800. Sample Menu Beef Fried Rice 5.25 lg Kung Po Chicken 7.25 lg Egg Drop Soup 2.75 Pot Stickers (6) 3.95 Seafood Lo Mein 8.50 lg There hours are Mon- Thursday 11 am - 9:30 pm Fri and Saturday 11 am - 10 pm Sunday 12 pm - 9:00 pm Remember Kwan's is closed on Monday.

Omg, how did I not review this place yet? The food is cheap and awesome. They have the best crab Rangoon and General Tso's chicken around, with generous portions. And they're friendly on top of that. And fast. We don't have any papers or anything, but we're practically married.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
