Decide to take my mom and son out for breakfast. We came out that Saturday before Mother's Day. It wasn't busy so we were seated fast. The friendly waiter came quickly to take our drink order and than our food order. The portions of the food are a nice size for the money. What a Bang of a deal. I took a few bites and I was full. The only thing was that my eggs were very watery. The waiter had to take my eggs back so they could cook them well done. Lol. No joke. I don't recall ordering sunny sided up eggs. Anyway, love the atmosphere the food was good and we had an awesome waiter. Yeah. Happy Customer

Good service but food was well below average. Overpriced and just yuck. If you're in the area, head over to Wishbone for breakfast/brunch/lunch.

I just eggsperienced Eggsperience and it fell short. My friend and I decided to have breakfast after spin class last Sunday. We expected it to be busy and it was. We were seated at the bar and the couple next to us told us they had been waiting for over an hour for their food. The waitress looked overworked and while I had sympathy for her the service was terrible. We ordered eggs and bacon. How complicated is it to make that? Well, it was. Our food was also delivered luke warm after an hour of waiting. I ordered the pancakes which were cold and had to wait to receive syrup. My friend had dirty silverware and asked several times how long til we got our food. I get the feeling that the kitchen is understaffed as well. The price for eggs and bacon is too high for lousy service. The bacon was tasty but not worth the wait. My suggestion is to buy eggs and bacon and stay home.

On this week's Saturday Brunch exploration, I decided to give this place another try. My friend and I decided to go in two different directions for food. That was fine because this place offers lunch and breakfast. He went with the Tom skillet "can't remember the proper name" but it was the meat lovers skillet. I decided to go with the black and bleu burger. We both decided to share a half order of pancakes. Well he upgraded to the berry berry pancakes with granola. Then, we decided to share an half order of the strawberry cheesecake pancakes. Overall the pancakes were ok. I personally didn't like the berry berry pancakes. Just weren't good. However , the black and bleu burger was amazing. I would ask them to hold back some of the bleu cheese next time. My date, liked the skillet. He said it was good which is a WIN because he never likes places. (We've been to some amazing eateries, too. ). So, if you do not want to wait. Want free parking. Then, this is the best place for you. Try it,you'll see.

Eggs, eggs, more eggs. Did I forget eggs!? It's all over the menu, but not literally. Great food! I stop in here a few times while on break at school and I did back when I use to work at Mariano's right upstairs. Wonderful and very quick service. Both breakfast and lunch items are good. (Burgers, clubs, etc.) So not everything is eggs! Prices are decent too!

Very nice place, very nice hostess and attentive wait staff. A tad pricey for my wallet. .I had oatmeal, toast & coffee and it was almost $13! But, in fairness, the food was VERY GOOD. But I wouldn't hesitate to return as long as someone else is paying!

Sunday at noon? No wait? Great service and food? Now this is MY kind of place! We stopped in to this newest breakfast place in the W. Loop. Open for only 9 weeks at the time of this review, Eggsperience, W. Loop location, did a nice job in satisfying my favorite meal of the day, breakfast! The space is quite large and includes booths, tables that can be moved together to accommodate your large group or you can even sit at the juice bar to eat. We were warmly greeted and immediately shown to a booth in the middle of the space. Menus were presented and coffee poured. The menu includes a range of items from traditional breakfast favorites to some sandwiches and soups as well. We ordered simply- an omelet for me and bacon, eggs and pancakes for my friend. Know that the entrees come with hash browns AND your choice of toast or pancakes. And if you don't want the hash browns- they will substitute out a small cup of fruit. The food came up so quickly we couldn't believe it was ours. Either we caught them at just the right time or they have a "magic kitchen". But whatever the reason- my omelet was perfectly cooked with all the right ingredients and my friend's pancakes were light and fluffy. We decided to linger a bit and a second pot of coffee was quickly forthcoming. All in all a great breakfast experience. If you drive- know that Eggsperience is in the complex that houses the new Marianos grocery store. There is a parking garage on the Green Street side of the place. Unlike the restaurant- the parking garage was packed but be patient and someone will pull out. Parking on the day I was there was FREE for 2 hours which is another plus. You can bet that this breakfast lovin' gal will be back!

With the place right across my hotel, thought I'd try it out. I ordered the Greek omelette with hasbrowns and pancakes + OJ. The service is ample and filling. The freshly squeezed OJ was pretty good. The food arrived pretty fast, about 10 mins or so. I kind of agree of the previous reviewer about the pancakes. It's not firm enough and falls apart as you pick it up with a fork. Overall the place is not bad.

I was really heading for Mariano's when I saw this place and decided to stop in for breakfast. Even though I arrived just before the Saturday brunch rush there was confusion as to who needed a table and who needed to pay their bill (they don't pay the waiter here). After sorting all that out I decided to try their eggs and pancakes, figuring that was their specialty. I was mistaken. The pancakes were a little dry, and the omelette I ordered not that tasty. The waitress was very helpful though and the portions were large (had to take more than half of it home in a doggie bag). I might try this place again to give them another chance.

The breakfast I had was exceptional. The server "Jose" was the one of the nicest servers I've ever had. The problem was one of the hostesses could NOT stop swearing and talking about her personal issues the entire time I was there. That ruined the experience for me. I do reccomend, although, sit far away from the host stand.

Our waiter had the best Pedro Sanchez mustache I've seen since Pedro Sanchez. Lemon water was top notch. The thing about lemon water is that you get all of the benefits of regular drinking water with an added enhancement of lemon. I got some eggs, sausages, pancakes, and hash browns. Everything was pretty tasty, but today I came to the realization that hash browns are basically just filler. They only exist in a breakfast setting because somebody decided a long time ago to make breakfast plates big as hell, but then they realized that the food portions would look tiny next to those giants plates so they SCRAMBLED to think of something to round out the plate with. This is why you get so many hash browns when nobody wants to eat that many hash browns. That being said, I thought this was a pretty good eggsperience.

I came here for brunch on my first outing to a restaurant with my 2 week old. The restaurant was very inviting and kid friendly-our server was expecting and there was a group of mom's with little ones at a table close by. The food was basic but tasty and arrived very quickly. There is free parking in Marianos which also adds to the convenience factor. Overall, I'm happy to have this new addition in the hood!

  • Dustin H.

The restaurant was clean, bright and the service was super friendly. They have a ton of options / variations on a theme. You can get your eggs as an omelette, scramble or frittata all with a good selection of add ons. I would go again if I was in the area, but this is not a destination breakfast joint.

We've loved Eggsperiemce, especially Eleni's egg white delight, but we've had a problem with this dish lately. It often tastes as if it had been prepared in butter, which negates its healthy benefits. We've requested that the cooks prepare it using Pam. The last two times we've visited, the dish has tasted suspiciously of butter and even tastes slightly greasy. We know that Eggsperience can do better, because previously this has not been an issue for us. We've sent it back, and the staff has been quite gracious in re-doing it and we've been quite satisfied with the results, but please, please, please - get it right the first time. We hate to feel that each visit will be an adventure. Thanks.

Thr atmosphere was bright, and clean. Excellent service! Many options on the menu. Everything we ordered was very tasty and cooked perfectly. There were little things that stood out as being thoughtful to their customers. Coffee carafes with cream brought to the table freshly made with organic coffee! Fredh oranges as to dress our plates. Pitcher of fresh lemon water at the table.

My wife and I went there around 8am on a Sunday. Not many customers yet since we were early. Promptly seated. Our server was pleasant. We were given a carafe so we could refill our coffee when we needed to. Coffee was good. Our servings were enough. The food was good. Hot soup was also available. Overall, a great place for breakfast.

As the venerable Ron Swanson once said, "there is no sadness in the world breakfast food can't fix." And I hold that to be true in most cases. I've come to Eggsperience to heal many soul wounds and have left with a belly full of healing carbs. The food is your run of the mill breakfast food type cuisine. Nothing too special, but it's consistently comforting food. I will say that I was really disappointed with the service last time I went though.I took my fiancé for his birthday breakfast and pulled the server aside hoping she could use some candles I brought on his pancakes. Unfortunately, she said she was too busy (with her work-horse load of three tables) Speaking as a seasoned college waitress, I'm calling bull. What WAS cool, though, was the fact I ate my breakfast about ten feet away from D.J Augustin, Chicago Bulls point guard. Apparently he is a regular there. Also, pancakes were yum.

Been there a few times now. It's a pretty place, large portions, but I would actually recommend other items than their eggs. Those were average. The waffles and hash skillets were much better.

Fast & attentive service, reasonable portions (no waste but you don't leave hungry!), good food. Kids devoured their breakfasts. Corned beef hash was awesome.

Great brunch spot near uic!! fresh mango/orange juice was fantastic. Strawberry cheesecake pancakes were amazing (and I never eat pancakes), churizzo omelette was ok. Definitely going back to try more items.

    (5)
  • Scott S.

Staff was really not attentive . It wasn't busy. French toast was solid , bacon was good although at almost 2 bucks a slice I'm not sure it's worth it. The juice worth almost 5 bucks was kind of a rip off. But it's a reasonable option for breakfast . Good food maybe a little high in price , even got the city

  • Linda B.

This place was the epitome of meh. I've been to the river north location and enjoyed it so my brunch today was quite disappointing. There isn't one thing that I can put my finger as being the problem, other than the food just didn't taste good. I had a scrambler with turkey sausage, spinach, and mushrooms, a side of hash browns, and pancakes. Everything was bland and the hash browns were not hard enough for my liking - it was like eating a baked potato with breakfast. Service was good, just not the food.

  • Hina Q.

This location is pretty great! It's in a plaza with Mariano's which means there is free parking. That makes it a bit better than the downtown location. The hours aren't as long and extensive as the other location but that's not that bad. The service here is pretty good. It's quite packed on the weekends but luckily we didn't have to wait when we got there. The food is just the same and just as tasty. Friendly staff, great food, good service, and good location...makes this place a delicious delight.

  • Alex W.

Great selection of eggs Benedict. Sausage links had a lot of flavor as well. We went on a Sunday mid morning and it was only a 10 min wait which isn't bad compared to a lot of other joints. All in all if you like eggs Benedict this is a great place to try

  • Ritika K.

It's a great place for brunch on weekends. I love their fresh orange juice. Their menu has a lot of options to choose from. You can even customize your own dish. Service is also good. I got fresh strawberry crepes and they were very good.

This was our first visit to Eggsperience. We visited the 30 S Halsted location. We found it by chance as we were staying at the Crown Plaza across the street for a wedding. Anyway the food was good, the coffee great, and the service was amazing!! Our server was Miranda, she was awesome!! The prices were fair for the area we were in. Overall a very pleasant experience!!!

I live just a few blocks away and I've been here a few times. The food here is good with a decent selection of brunch and lunch items. I think yolk's menu and cooking is a tad better, but not by much, and not having to wait an hour for service on a weekend morning is a huge perk. As a matter of fact this location is decent sized, and in the few times I've gone, I've been seated right away. The service is friendly and quick, and over all I have no complaints... Well, maybe just one... It's a dry brunch, so no mimosas or bloody Mary's here. I do wish that were different. For this reason, i do often find myself trekking further to other brunch spots on occasion when hungover with friends or celebrating a random Saturday. The last time I went, I had a groupon for $20 off and that deal brought my $33 tab for two, down to $13 plus tip (always remember to tip on the full bill amount ;) Was able to take the saved dollars to Mariano's next door for some quick shopping before heading back home too. Bottom line: a good brunch spot if you are looking for a quick bite on a weekend morning and mimosas/bloody Mary's are not a necessity.

It's ok when it isn't busy. We waited 40 minutes for our breakfast to be served this morning.

  • Marco C.

The first warning should have been the half empty restaurant on Sunday at 10:30am (aka. Prime brunch time). The benedicts were swimming, no, drowning, in subpar hollandaise. The corned beef hash was simply shredded corned beef with their flavorless "hash browns" (read: slightly undercooked shredded potatoes with no seasoning). On the plus side, service was prompt and friendly. Bottom line... You're better off going into the marianos next door and assembling your own meal.

I ordered a salad but they didn't have the dressing I wanted. Three people, including the manager, came by to assist in selecting an alternative. It's just salad dressing but was an example of their attention to detail. The salad was excellent and I'll be back!

Love the food at this place. We usually go in for lunch and do not have the time to wait 20 minutes for the check. Food is always served fast, but once served, the server is usually no where to be seen after that. I was very pleased with my order today. I ordered the pancakes with the apples and pecans. The serving size was huge. The pancakes were out of this world. I would order that again. Once we were done we had to wait 20 minutes for the check. That is a little excessive. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the service is lacking once the food is delivered. The last time we went for lunch I had ordered a panini and it was supposed to have a pesto spread on it. I was waiting for the server to come back to ask how everything was. He never returned until he dropped off the check. I told him the sandwich didn't have the pesto spread on it. He said sorry, I'll tell the cook to make sure it has it on it for the next one. I felt that really didn't fix the problem with my sandwich. I told him I would still take it home with me but to please bring the spread and I would put it on myself. He didn't like that I asked him to do that for me.

  • Braydan H.

The wait wasn't long and the service was good enough, but the food was awful. Nothing tasty about it. It wasn't even good in a classic simple breakfast joint kind of way. And then to top it off the prices were outrageous! $12 for an omelette! Come on that's ridiculous. An omelette with just bacon and cheese, nothing too fancy.

  • Michael R.

I had a shitty eggsperience. Don't eggspect much.

  • Kayla S.

This place was amazing! We were only in Chicago 2 days, and we ate breakfast here both days. My mother had corn beef hash, made in house! She said it was amazing. Lots of dishes come with pancakes as a side, and they are wonderful. The scrambled eggs and omelettes were perfectly fluffy, and the service was phenomenal. We would give it 12 stars if we could.

  • Matt S.

I've been here 4 times and the food has been great every time. However, the last 2 times I've visited, I arrived at 6:15 AM on a weekday and they were still closed, although they advertise opening at 6AM. Today I arrived and the lights were still out past 6, and a lady in the kitchen just sipped a cup of coffee while staring at me waiting outside in the cold, not even coming to talk to me or let me in to wait. I went to the location in River North and they had much better service, and they were actually open!

    (3)
  • Melanie B.

I visited this place on a Sunday morning. It was very busy, but the wait wasn't long. It is a pretty big restaurant with ample seating. I ordered the mushroom hash and pumpkin pancakes! The pancakes were small and thick which was perfect. The hash was a little bland but once I added salt and pepper it was fine. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were big! I'll definitely try to visit again before I leave town so that I can get more of that yummy juice! It was EGGScellent! :)

I went in today on a Sunday around 2:30, for a late brunch. The place wasn't packed by any means. We were immediately seated by the manager, which was impressive to me initially. But then the service was less than amazing to me. Out server didn't make it over to our table for about 10-12 minutes, which I can handle, but it seemed extremely odd since the place was not busy. We ordered our food and it was out quickly, within about 10 minutes. Our server was semi attentive, but I was just eating my pancakes. The pancakes were just regular buttermilk pancakes nothing to Hoot or Holler over, but they did the job. At one point , my friend and I were finished, and the manager walked past, and almost "scolded" the server to be at our table. I thought it was very unprofessional since our sever was already in the process of walking over to our table. The manager did not rub me the right way after that. We got our checks finally, and then I realized my pancakes were 1.50$ more then they were in the menu. I brought it to my servers attention and he said well my manager will have to deal with it, so I said "okay?". We get up to pay at the front, and I express to the "manager" the price differential and he says well our pancakes are all 9.99, but I'll change it for you. I then express that "maybe you should alter your menu prices, because it's leading to false advertisement" then he kindly goes well that's how it is, it's just wrong. Overall Food was nothing amazing, decent portions Manager, should probably be manager no more. If he has poor customer service, then what do you think his employees have? Most likely won't return, unless I'm in a crunch for a breakfast place. I prefer Meli cafe right on Jackson! Much better service and Food!

  • Jennie C.

This place just opened in the neighborhood, so I decided to give it a try. I liked my corned beef hash, and friends seemed to enjoy their Mediterranean omelet. Coffee was fresh. Only letdown was the pancake: it was way too puffy, and the texture was very powdery and dry, the artificial vanilla flavoring was too strong. Place is huge so there wasn't a wait, but they had a steady stream of customers.

    (3)
  • Beatriz R.

I've been there several times and we are attended immediately with great service. The food is above average to many breakfast/lunch establishments. I would definitely recommend it! Every time I go, I order the chilaquiles (Mexican tortillas with green salsa, beans, eggs and a salad. Sounds very generic, but it's actually quite delicious, can't wait to go back!

    (4)
  • Melissa C.

It's close to home and it's never busy. the food is good But why does the hostess insist on sitting every table in the back near the kitchen and the bathrooms. It's happened to us before and it happened again today . We watched as every table got sent to the back passing numerous open tables in the front . Guess what maybe the "eggsperience " will be better for your customers if they don't have to hear the noise in the kitchen or hear the flushing of the toilets or even worse over hear the six servers and or workers standing around by the wall talking.

  • Sarah D.

A friend and I split the whole wheat berry pancakes, the caramel pecan french toast, and an omelette with cheese and all sorts of and meaty deliciousness inside. No, we didn't finish everything, but we certainly tried. Everything was great, but I think my favorite thing about Eggsperience is that they give you a coffee pot and a pitcher of water for the table, so you're not constantly trying to flag down a waiter for refills. We got here around 9:30 on a Saturday and had no wait. In fact, there were always a couple of tables open, even when we left around 11. That surprised me, but it also makes me more likely to go back, since I get cranky if I have to wait to eat.

  • Toni R.

Dined here and tried the traditional Eggs Benedict, which stated it came with Canadian Bacon but mine was served with ham off the bone The menu said they had a EB with ham off the bone as a different option and when I asked if this was correct, my sever told me that was their traditional EB so either he was telling me the truth , didn't know the difference, or he just didn't want to correct the order. I would consider trying this place again because everyone else at my table enjoyed their selections, but I will avoid the EB next time around.

  • Robert D.

This place is nothing special and is like a factory of mediocrity. My English muffin seemed to have been toasted yesterday (tough and cold), the omelette was okay but lacked flavor despite feta, spinach and onions. The fruit side dish came with 4 small pieces of fruit and 4 small grapes. Bruno's French toast looked anemic and they only had fake syrup. With all the great breakfast places in Chicago, this place wont survive. Its pricey for what they provide.

    (2)
  • Tara G.

The location is very near to many hotels in Chicago. The menu is ample with many options in every aspect of breakfast. They serve breakfast all day, which is always a plus. The food is a little pricey but I can't complain since the food was excellent.

We had breakfast today, and started with the coffee, which was very good, and we were hoping that the rest of the breakfast would be the same. The potatoes with the eggs were warm, seems like they were just sitting in the kitchen. My wife had bacon, and I had ham. Nothing great about either of these. Pancakes were ok. We sat near the window, and there were fruit flies, we think. I can get a better breakfast which costs less and better potatoes/bacon/ham at Eppels or the Bridgeport Restaurant. Take a pass on this place.

I was very excited for Eggsperience to open up in the West Loop. Since the opening, I have been there for breakfast several times and haven't been disappointed. They have a very wide range of menu options and the service has been great, with the exception of a small delay on a busy Sunday. Overall, I'd definitely recommend eating here.

Two of us went for a quick breakfast this morning and found our food very good. My friend got a scrambler with hash browns and pancakes and I had the lox plate with a side of scrambled eggs. The portions were large, but not overwhelming, the food was fresh and the eggs were especially good (hence the name?). Our server was attentive and the whole staff was on top of things. It's very close to work, so I expect to be back soon.

  • Jessica C.

Delicious! Large portions, great prices, and friendly staff. Had the egg white omelette, very good and about the size of the plate! I love a place that leaves a pitcher of water and carafe of coffee on the table. Highly recommend!

Just left from having breakfast here. The restaurant is warm and inviting, just like the Ontario location. The food was very good and my server was very friendly. However, the lady hostess and the manager were very dry, they barely showed signs of life when dealing with customers. I heard 2 guys directly tell the manager how much they enjoyed the food when he was cashing them out and the manager didnt even look up at them or respond. Ill go back for the good food and thank God the servers attitudes don't reflect that of management.

standard chain breakfast place. big enough that there's no wait, even during peak breakfast hours, which is nice. pancakes were very good. skillet was stingy on potatoes and pretty small. omelette was good, little overcooked. they give you a whole pot of coffee too. if you want to be wowed for breakfast, go to meli or avec. for a normal everyday breakfast, come here

No wait even at 1030 on a Sunday morning. Food is prepared quicker than it takes to read the menu.Never a clutter of plates on the tables. And always a smile that makes you feel very welcome. I dare you to prove me wrong.

I've eaten here a few times and have not been disappointed. Nice clean restaurant and the service is very good. The food was very good too. Another plus is that it is open on Saturdays all night.....if you need a late night snack after the bars.

I feel like the food here is way overpriced. My boyfriend got sick from one of their breakfast burritos & the service was pretty bad. My boyfriend is one of the most polite people I know. I had to respond to a text when our waitress came so he started to order before me the waitress cut him off saying a lady should order first. I thought this was out of line. No coffee was brought until just before the food came. I would not recommend this place at all.

Great eggsperience, I had the corned beef and eggs that came with hash browns and pancakes. The corned beef is FRESH. My server suggested I try the gourmet hash browns that came with green peppers , onions, and cheesy cheddar-Jack .AWESOME!! My server also suggested ,something called a fruity wheat grass smoothie, also very awesome. The thing I really liked best was how comfortable the staff and management made me feel, I like a good breakfast place that makes you feel at home, great job. I recommend this place to everyone.

Delicious and fast brunch. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean. The host/hostess is really great about seating you as fast as possible and the waiters have no problem giving tables separate checks. The pancakes are so yummy and I will definitely go back!

We are big brunch eaters and were so excited to have a new stop. This place didn't disappoint. They had fast and nice service. Didn't have to wait at all and we went at 10:30 on a Sunday. Food was delish and fresh, reasonable prices. Will be adding this to our brunch rotation.

Came here for brunch today, our server Violet was great, and no complaints with the food- the only problem was the weird short creepy young European guy who is a server or busboy here... He would not stop staring at me and my girlfriend. It was awkward and very uncomfortable. He literally went and got the other guy servers and they stood in the middle of the restaurant staring at us, not even attempting to be discreet. He kept walking from the center of the restaurant to stare, then moving to the front register to stare from there as well. I don't know where this kid is from, but in the US- it's not appropriate to gawk at female customers and make them feel uncomfortable the entire duration of their meal. Rude.

Coffee-shop-style restaurant, nothing trendy, experimental, or gourmet about this place. Good service, great fresh-squeezed OJ, fresh coffee. Huevos Rancheros were decent.

Ate a late breakfast here today. Pleasantly surprised!!! Huge menu selection, delicious food, and awesome fresh juices! Our server Dela Marie was super friendly, very accommodating to all of our requests and really efficient. She was awesome. She is definitely a great front of the house person, cheery, welcoming and hard working. We ordered a chocolate chip waffle that was sooooo good with a side of fruit and we also had the low carb omelet which was baked, not fried. it was huge and delicious also. beautiful dining area, friendly and professional staff, large portions of really good food! And the price point is great, not expensive. This is exactly what the neighborhood needed! I'll definitely be a regular!

A wonderfully peaceful environment. Great natural lighting to help set the right mood to kick off the day. I enjoyed a well crafted omlet, aromatic medium blend coffee with a smooth yet think creamer. Make sure to substitute the hash browns for fruit. Well, that is, if you want to enjoy a overly chilled but flavorful side dish. I am now waiting on my to go smoothie. I've not had one before but if the meal was an indication of what is to come, I am sure I will be satisfied with my experience. The only reason I did not give a 5.0 rating is presentation. I do not foresee presentation as being a cornerstone of success here but the food and attentive service lands me at a solid 4.0. If you are in the area, you must make this a destination.

A friend and I came here, hung-over, for breakfast and had a so-so meal. Décor: It's pretty standard for a breakfast/brunch place. It's well lit, cheery, and has a ton of tables and booths. It is set up like a diner, where you pay at the counter, but everything else is typical. However, the tables were clean and there was no line (well, we were the only people there because it was so early haha). Bathroom: unknown Staff: Our waiter was very nice, a bit timid, but very attentive. The cashier was also friendly. Food: We had an omelet, which was of rather large size, and the Eggs Benedict, which was pretty tasty. I also had a smoothie (the best part of the meal) and they left a pitcher of water on every table (NICE!). The only thing really that was wrong was that my Eggs Benedict was swimming in grease. The taste, of the first muffin, was fine but the second was saturated. The omelet, however, was ok - it was a "baked" omelet, which intrigued my friend, but it came out a bit browned... Value: The prices are right where you'd expect them to be. This experience at EGGsperience was mediocre... however, I think I'd try it again if I were in a pinch for some breakfast.

Menu: Great choice of items Food: well cooked and delicious Service: neither very quick or very slow but don't go with a starving tummy Price: moderately priced Ambience and seating: pretty cozy and clean Overall: Brilliant choice for a weekend brunch. The menu is vast and the staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend

Not worth your time or money for brunch. I've visited the Park Ridge and Ontario St location too. All are the same. Service is standard diner and the food isn't spectacular or inventive. Basic egg menu options that you can make at home for less cost. There are many other places in Chicago to enjoy brunch instead.

Went to Eggsperience with my wife and kids yesterday around noon. I love the fact that you can call and get your name on their waiting list. While the wait for a table would not have been long, we were seated immediately. They really have a great brunch menu. Best of all (for me) their coffee is free-flowing and pretty good. For the most part. the food was good. We all had eggs of some kind. I can only speak for mine. I had the "Cook's Calling" which is basically an omelet with lots of meat - sausage, bacon and ham. It comes with various choices of sides - I had their hashed browns but it also came with two prices of toast, so there was quite a lot of food. I have to admit that the omelet tasted pretty good. But, it was not browned at all. I was cooked through, but it almost seemed to me that it was cooked in a microwave oven and not on a griddle. I posted a picture of it, so you be the judge. The staff was nice and friendly, but the service was very lacking. Busy or not, it took almost an hour for our food to come out. The server avoided us much of this time leading us to speculate he'd forgotten to put the order in. In fact, tables all around us who had been seated long after us were served long before we were. Luckily, it was nice the family was together so we could catch up and pass the time. When the food arrived, one of the meals was missing. There was no apology, just a remark about how busy they were. A short while later the manager came by the table to check on us. I don't generally complain, but he could obviously see three of us were eating and one was just sitting there. When asked, I told him we had waited a long time and my wife still had not been served. He explained they have just had a chance in management and he was still working out the kinks. I said I understood what he was going through, but after an hour of waiting and still getting the order wrong was unacceptable. Her order came up. She had been nibbling on other food at the table we shared so she really was no longer hungry when her omelet showed up. The manager was nice enough to not charge us for that particular meal. I thought that was a nice gesture and the right thing to do considering the circumstances. I did forget to mention I ordered a glass of orange juice. They served fresh squeezed juice which is very nice. They must filter some of the pulp out and I really like pulp in my juice, but it was still very good. Shall I return? Not sure. I would be curious is others have had the same concern about their omelets not being browned when served. I see similar looks in some of the pictures posted on this restaurant. If i do go back, I will update my review.,

This place is awesome. They give you a whole pot of coffee for at your table. "Excuse me, sir, would you like some more...oh, no need, we left you a whole pot!". The portions are huge and delicious, with great service. Every time I've been here, I can never eat all the food they give me, which is a lot.

Pretty good food but not worth the price at all! Like if I could do let rate based on the price I would give it negative stars. But food was still good but serious 3 Strips of bacon for $5 and about 6 pieces fruit for $4. Get the hell out of here. Total meal for about $40 for two people. Not worth it at all

Came here for a weekday breakfast and it was great. The inside is casual, kind of like a Denny's. There were lots of options on the menu and the service was good. I ended up going with the banana and Nutella crepes, which were delish.

We had a very good experience here. This is more a 3.5 stars rating... I really, really, really wish Yelp would implement a half star system. But anyways, if you are looking for affordable, hearty eats in downtown Chicago, and friendly and fast service, I think that Eggsperience perfectly fits the bill. It is right across from the Crowne Plaza, making it very convenient. Eggsperience is like a hybrid of First Watch and Denny's. Our server was the sweetest, friendliest lady; she fussed over us, complimented us, and made sure that we were perfectly taken care of. We received our orders quickly, and the portions were HUGE. We had a monster sized omelette, hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, frittata, and each order came with either pancakes or French toast. I really liked my pancakes, they were a stack of small blueberry pancakes, fluffy and and home-y. The food was very reasonably priced, each of our orders was about $8 + some change. My only complaint was the coffee. Maybe it was just a bad pot, but all three of us thought the coffee was horrible. And, as cheap as the food was, the coffee was almost 4 bucks apiece. And in the mornings, I require a good cuppa Joe. So this was a serious bummer. But, with the good and cheap food and friendly service, I would highly recommend stopping here for breakfast. I don't think you're going to get a better breakfast for the price downtown (just skip the coffee!).

Not the best experience but I'd bet next time will be better. You get a lot of food for the price, which is great. But on this day they committed what, to me, is the mortal sin of breakfast: undercooked hashbrowns! Barely browned and very sad, which in turn made me very sad. I had the breakfast panini which was huge and filling - but I also couldn't help but feel like I was eating hot pocket filling on bread. Gf had a benedict (can't remember which one) which she seemed to enjoy, save for the hollandaise sauce which she said had an odd mustard quality to it. Originally I was going to go for eggs and sausage and I wish I would have. Not in a huge rush to return, but it's nearby and I'm sure I will.

Eggsperience opened right around the corner from where I live, and I think we only come here out of convenience and knowing there won't be a wait at the times we go. The food is okay, nothing special, and somewhat over-priced. The service there is inconsistent. Sometimes we have great servers, and sometimes we have the exact opposite. Just an easy spot to walk to in the West Loop for some breakfast.

DO NOT GO to this shady restaurant!! We booked this place for my 40-person wedding brunch TWO MONTHS in advance. We spoke to both the manager and the owner to confirm the reservation. Fast forward to now, the week before my wedding. My dad called just to re-confirm our party, and was told without explanation that they can no longer accommodate us. The owner refuses to speak to him, passing the buck to his poor employees and apparently asking them to lie about his whereabouts and availability. This owner, WITH WHOM WE MADE THE RESERVATION, is a SUPER shady character. First his staff said he wasn't in. Then they said he's only in around 6 a.m. So when my dad called at 6:30 a.m., he was told the owner is never around, and they barely ever see him. When my dad called today in a last-ditch effort to reach him, he was told the owner was "too busy" to talk to him. Would've been the easiest thing in the world to simply deny our reservation request two months ago. Now the welcome sheets we paid to print, with brunch info, will have to be trashed, and the brunch canceled (at this point no Chicago brunch place can accommodate a party of 40).

This place does not deserve my business or yours. I had called 2 months ago to see if they can accommodate my daughter's post wedding brunch. The owner told me no problem. I called a month ago to confirm with the manager at the time, she was very nice. No problem. A week before the wedding, I find out the manager is no longer there. The new manager blows me off and says no chance, and no apology. I left message for owner to call me, and he doesn't even give me the courtesy of a call back. Just handled poorly. After talking to other people who have gone, the service and food is pretty mediocre anyways. I'm assuming they're all owned by the same guy, so I suggest you stay away from them all. They don't deserve your money and there's better options close by.

Eggsperience is my local breakfast joint. ASK FOR JESUS! Awesome waiter. There are other options closer to our apartment, but for the taste, service, and price, Eggsperience wins hands down. The restaurant is incredibly clean and modern, like a classy diner. All of the Benedicts are delicious. You HAVE to get a side of pancakes! You can't go wrong with any of them. You can upgrade them to their gourmet options. Best pancakes in the city. Order your hash browns extra crispy and gourmet if you want them cheesy (: The smoothies are so creamy and delicious. I recommend the mango tango smoothie. Come to Eggsperience

Nice establishment, but not really please with the food. I had the banana nut French toast, it was a little dry and bland. The chicken sausage was very tasty. Overall none of the folks that were with me were pleased with their food.

Once a upon a time, breakfast places consisted on all night diners that had names like Denny's, Perkins, Village Inn, Country Kitchen. But the breakfast scene has evolved into something else and, in my estimation, that's good. Eggsperience is one of those new restaurant models that really isn't all that new. The premise is to offer patrons a good variety of breakfast food with a menu that offers quality choices without being so extensive that nothing is particularly good. They do breakfast and their breakfast is good. Pancakes can be a near-heaven experience or can be a culinary disaster. These were not quite heaven, which would make me...I don't know...limbo. Definitely not hell. But not quite heavenly but manages to be a step above purgatory (that's 12 years of Catholic school tuition at work right there.) it secular terms, much better than average. Soft with that important buttermilk zing. Big enough that two the size of dinner plates will fill you up. The waffle was a little more disappointing. Waffles require a little bit of physics to be just right. Done too early, they sit on a cold plate waiting to be served while accumulating waffle sweat between the waffle and plate. Done too early, it hasn't had time to take on the slightly softened texture. Physics aside, the taste was pretty bland. The stuffed French toast was delicious. Bread filled with cream cheese and fruit, cooked on a griddle snd served with more fruit and powdered sugar on top. Very rich and sweet for the first meal of the day but very, very tasty. Everything we ordered was delicious but then we got the bill...over $50 for three breakfasts, a hot tea and a juice. The sticker shock sadly over shadowed our satisfaction with our food...so much that we almost felt ripped off. We probably won't be back-not because of the food or service (which was great)-but because it just didn't measure up to what we paid. But, with all things new, maybe they can find a happy balance.

I would have loved to give this 4+ stars, but the fact that my purpose of going was pretty much ruined prevents me from doing so. I went there in hopes of enjoying a fulfilling breakfast with PANCAKES; and in an attempt to do so, ordered a meal accordingly. The only issue I had is that by the time I got to work, there was no syrup. Bummer, I know. I did call to inform the store of this misfortune and received a "sorry" and "it won't happen next time". I would hope not. This would have been slightly more acceptable had I not been pregnant and craving pancakes like crazy. I was left feeling stupid for spending pretty much $14 only to be disappointed.

It is always great to find a good brunch spot. I was pleased with the overall experience. A group of four of us went on a Friday at around 1pm and it was quite empty. I really liked the spacious feel to the seating; plenty of tables, booths and available seating at the bar. The service was excellent and attentive, and most importantly the food was delicious. I was also excited that I got FOUR sausage links as opposed to the typical three with my Eggsperience order. Lastly, as a coffee fanatic, having the coffee jug at the table was a definite plus.

Eggsperience cafe is my go to when I am craving a huge omelette! I ordered Elenis Eggwhite Omelet. It was enormous and fluffy and full of flavor. Get a side of pico de gallo! Yummy here! My boyfriend had the country Benedict which was so delicious! I recommend that or the LOX Benny. They nail the hollandaise sauce! The pancakes here are amazing! The best in the city! We've tried every pancake they offer here. Ask to upgrade your pancake if you're interested in the gourmet pancakes (for a small fee) The strawberry cheesecake pancakes definitely kick the sweet tooth. If you like smoothies, you HAVE TO GET the Mango Tango smoothie! It was delicious!!! I come here ALL THE TIME!

I'm not sure if this was a fluke today but when we arrived the place was jam packed. We were seated immediately, and greeted within a minute of sitting down. The server took our order and (not an exaggeration) our food was on the table in less than 3 minutes. The pancakes were warm and fluffy and tasted beautifully. The sausage patties were flavorful and grilled on the flattop to perfect degree of doneness. The coffee was served steaming hot and tasted freshly brewed. I will definitely return for breakfast again!

Eggs are delicious! Truly one of my best egg breakfast experiences. I got the three egg scramble but asked for two egg whites and one yolk--couldn't taste a difference. The pancakes were good but just a bit tougher than what I'm used too. If you're into eggs I'd definitely try this place.

It was my first time going to Eggsperience the other day and I enjoyed it very much. I loved it before I went in. Why? Because they had their own free parking lot for the stores in that strip. Parking is a hassle in the city and I love that it wasn't for this restaurant. After walking in and being seated right away, I decided to get the butchers choice eggs Benedict. Omg so delicious. It was one of the best egg Benedicts I've ever had. It was filled with meat and the hollandaise sauce was on punto. I also tried some of their skillet and pancakes from my family member's order. It was delightful for my stomach. Aside from the food, the service was good as well. They were very attentive, making sure we were satisfied with everything, and I loved that they were able to split checks so easily. Very positive experience here! I highly recommended!

These portions are amazing, everything was so fresh and flavorful. Typical breakfast place though, really good for groups! I had the mile high omelette, it says three omelette but wow it seemed like many more. We paid less than $40 for two people so definitely bang for your buck!

one star for the nice decor and location, and another star for the omelette which was alright. The pancakes however were the worst I've ever had (including IHOP and Denny's!). I ordered the blueberry pancakes and they came so dry that it felt like they just microwaved them. The butter was served in little plastic cups and the syrup was cold.

Ordinary Decent. Late Night Dining on Friday and Saturday is a great appeal. Service -- good and pleasant. Waiter wraps brown bag for you. Vibe -- comfortable suburban. Friendly. Loyalty Club -- another good incentive to dine often. Menu -- choose wisely. Calorie driven drinks that is a booklet of its own. Variety of dishes that is empty carb centric. Steak and Eggs with pancakes -- plate looks a bit empty but I managed to have another breakfast for the pancakes. So so taste on steak. Pancake is fluffy with no distinct taste or flavor. Overpriced. Hot Spiced Apple Cider -- ordinary. Total Bill for 1: $21 plus tip. (Ouch!)

this place has really gone down hill this past year. They have downsized the menu....food and drinks, so I can't even get my favorites anymore. I went in on Mother's Day and they had a holiday menu, that only had a few options from their already downsized menu. I can see having a smaller menu on a holiday...but at least put some specials on it! I actually walked out that day because there was nothing i wanted on the menu. so....now we go back to Meli

Woke up early on a Saturday morning HANGRY! Headed here so I could do my grocery shopping after. Service was good. They keep water & coffee on the table so no waiting. Server checked up on us several times which is rare for a breakfast place. Food was fast & my egg white omelette was HUGE! Fluffy, light and slightly watery but overall delish. Reasonable price for breakfast brunch. One bad thing was no biscuits & gravy...my am splurge that I oh so LOVE... alas, it was good & I'd go back.

Eggsperience is very mediocre to me. Ive been to it 3 times between the downtown location and the west loop location. I prefer to go to local businesses or lowkey spots in Chicago. They have more specialized breakfast and brunch items.

Besides great food and amazing coffee, one of the main reasons why we visit Eggsperience is Alicia J. We've become regulars and have even designated Eggsperience to be our spot for Friday lunch. Alicia is always happy to see us and she always put a smile on our faces. She's warm, sweet and hardworking. Our orders are always on point and have had no issues so far. My current personal favorite: Lox scrambler with egg whites, and cottage cheese in lieu of cream cheese. Fruit and wheat toast on the side.

I love breakfast. It's one of those meals I could have at any point in the day. My biggest frustration with breakfast is choosing savory over sweet! After hearing different friends talk about Eggsperience and walking by it, we decided to give it a try. Our waiter was extremely friendly and happy to offer recommendations of what some of the most popular items were because the menu was daunting to say the least. I am sure I could eat here every week for a few months and still not try everything that struck a chord with me. Eventually, we opted for the Mmm-Mushroom Spinach Skillet: A great combination of flavors... fresh spinach, lots of mushrooms and onions. Apparently this item is very popular and it was obvious why upon the first bite. It was chock full of fresh veggies and the option to drizzle hot sauce or Cholula really brought out the flavors. Since savory vs sweet is always a demon I contend with, we opted to add on a side of pancakes to our order. The pancakes were fluffy, light, buttery and scrumptious. There really is something for everyone on this menu. And if breakfast isn't your thing, you can always give them a try for lunch. It's great to have this as an addition to the neighborhood. I am sure I will be back!

I love Eggsperience! Their menu is HUGE and obviously very egg-centric, but there are plenty of traditional breakfast and lunch items that do not included eggs. This location is very new with easy-to-find/free parking and family-friendly. I'm sure everyone here can find enough reviews about their egg breakfast items, but something you may not know is that they also have really good burgers and sweet potato fries! I ordered the Black & Bleu burger with an egg on top and my husband ordered their Bacon Lovers' Cheeseburger. Both cooked to our specifications with a copious amount of sweet potato fries. The burgers are served on a pretzel bun, and are very flavorful and moist! They're a pretty big size, I couldn't finish it in one sitting. FYI, if you order coffee, they let you take a to-go cup for free!

I prefer this location over the one on Ontario but I do like that one, too. Our last visit here was exceptional - our waitress, Alicia, was super friendly and hand made my husband's hot chocolate since the machine was broken (it was delicious). Service is always fast and friendly and food is consistent and delicious. I also like being able to go out for breakfast on a Saturday and not have to wait 2 hours like at a lot of Chicago locations.

Huge selection, great breakfast. Not as complex and unique add the little goat down the street, but wait three times the dishes all you could ever want, quickly and plenty of seating.
