Good god, almighty, this is the freakishly largest Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins I've ever been in. There must be twenty...no thirty...tables in this place. It was 4pm on a Friday, yet the donuts were still fresh. The mint shake I had was the best I've had from any BR. Not as good as Steak n Shake, but darn close. The lady who helped me was friendly and had patience in making the shake just the exact thickness I wanted. Sidenote: I loved this location, BUT...y'all need to keep your men's room clean. And make sure there's SOAP stocked.

I like the two-in-one restaurants because I am a fan of variety. this one is a baskin robbins & dunkin donuts. This is the biggest dunkin donuts I have ever been in. My friend got a donut but apparently they gave her the wrong one. Immediately rectified by the free addition of the correct donut. A+ for service and cleanliness. Product was as can be expected.

Dear Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins at 801 W Diversey, Please hire at least 2-3 more staff members to help run your store. Whether it's a blazing hot day or one full of THO-inducing wind chills, you will have a market for ice cream or hot coffee. One person simply cannot handle two counter spaces at one time. Sincerely, Damian C.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The guy in the glasses and hat is a complete jag bag. Constant dirty looks for no reason, doesn't greet anyone, sighs if you ask to use the restroom, skips over people in line, etc. I waited for (no joke) 20 minutes for an iced coffee with two people in front of me because he and the other guy were loafing around. Just moved to the area, and that'll be the first and last time you ever see me. I'll take my $$$ elsewhere, and I go to a D&D everyday.

This is the most nastiest location I have ever seen! The bathroom is so disgusting. There is build up dirty all over the sink and toilet. The trash is over flowing all over the floor in the shop. The place to get your sugar or straw has a ton of spilled coffee everywhere. The front door is so dirty and covered with finger prints. You sell food! That should never look like that! It's 9am and it looks like it's never been cleaned! My bagel with hard and burned and my coffee taste like water!

One of the worst Dunkin locations I mistakenly keep going to. I've really never had a positive time here. Below is my most recent experience: Wanted hashbrowns; they were out. Wanted a plain bagel for my bacon, egg, and cheese; they were out (It was 11am btw not late). Only this was communicated to me after I had already ordered and the cashier tried to pass off a multigrain bagel. Wanted coffee no sugar; got coffee cream and sugar. Every time I've been in here I get coffee cream and sugar regardless of what I order. Seriously, you want ice coffee? You're getting hot coffee cream and sugar. On top of that I got major attitude from the cashier for having the audacity to customize my coffee order. I know it's not Starbucks but come on. So I'm done giving this location it's gazillionth chance.

I've been to a lot of Dunkin' Donuts and this is probably the worst one I've been to, they didn't except my validation code for a free donut which I spent 15 minutes filling out a survey for. Then they screwed up my order twice when all I ordered is a large coffee with cream and sugar. It took me about six minutes to get a couple coffee when there was no one in line

If I could give less than one star, I would. I live right across the street from here and I still try avoiding coming as much as possible . They're always out of bagels, terrible customer service, and they don't put the right amount of pumps of syrup in their coffee. The only reason this place is still open is because of their location.

Love this dunkin! The people here are always soo nice! The donuts are the freshest out of all dunkins I've ever been to! Delicious and always great service!

After they charged me too much for a bottle of water I said I wanted my money back. I was told they couldn't do a charge back to my card. No? No refunds available? Really? Ok, then I'll never be back. I was a frequent customer at this DD for 8 years and not once was I recognized by staff! They also never got the coffee order right and I ended up with caffeinated coffee more times than I'd Like to count (i always, always ordered decaf!). Rude. Inconsiderate. And totally gross bathroom. Now, when if I'm desperate for coffee I'll walk the extra few blocks to Starbucks.

Most Dunkin Donuts locations have prompt and friendly service. This one, however, is abysmal. I waited 5:37 to get an incorrect coffee order that wasn't too hard to fill in the first place. It's not the first time I've had to wait an excessive amount of time for an incorrect order, which is why I timed it this time. The management really needs to do something about this. Based on other reviews, it might not hurt for corporate to get involved here.

Ordered an ice cream cake for a birthday party. When I arrived to pick it up several days later I was told that someone tried to call me (one time), but did not leave a message informing me that they were going to have to cancel the order (for some unknown reason). My credit card hard still been charged though and they were not helpful in refunding my money. I had to dispute the charge. I can't speak to the quality of their food since I never received any, but there customer service is abysmal. I

I try and try but never eat breakfast. Coffee yes. The coffee here will do the job. Be careful if you order milk- they will put more milk in than coffee- enough milk for Cleopatra to backstroke in! Black is good, try it. Speaking of try, I have tried, very hard to get breakfast on a working day: Toasted a bagel first thing to find it rock-solid in the evening because I didn't take it out of the toaster on the race out the door. Yuck. Instant oatmeal packets coagulate and solidify without a bite. Yuck. Don't try to sell me on smoothies or breakfast shakes when can't even make time to shove a raw pop-tart down my gullet... Who is going to clean that neglected blender? Yuck. I don't even have time to consume the contents. Hell, I've tried granola bars and frankly- those are not filling. I eat a quarter of the box and frankly, still feel pissed-off from deprivation. Yuck. So fast food it is. It is not fine dining. Health food it is not. It is not high-end. What it is- FAST Decent coffee in mass-volume served with your choice of subpar pastries or sandwiches, served with a polite thank you. Usually, I will buy a breakfast sandwich, maybe get a bite or two and it gets pushed aside for more work. So if you too get psychotic without a meal- this may be better than nothing and not as much a calorie-bomb as advertised (because if I get more than a couple bites in- it is miraculous).

RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE. Did I mention RUDE? I was asking a question about my order. The guy walked away to get what I ordered. Now I understand why my friend will not come here under ANY circumstances. I have not been here in years and will not return.

I wish there was a way to give my stars to an employee and not the entire establishment. It is rare that I see somebody as rude with such an attitude problem as the guy behind the counter at 5:45 on Thursday afternoon. He mumbled a lot, did not make eye contact, no please and thank you. He seemed very annoyed that he had to be there. An elderly gentleman came up to me while I was ordering my coffee and handed the clerk an envelope saying there were two pictures inside and could he (the employee) please deliver it to the day manager. After scowling at the gentleman, exasperatedly shaking his head and him the stink eye, he muttered "what for" as if it pained to him to have to do anything other than take people's money. When the gentleman took the pictures out of the envelope, he showed the guy behind the counter and it was of two employees smiling at the camera and looking as though they enjoyed their job. The gentleman seemed as if he was a regular during the daytime and on friendly terms with the daytime employees. The rude cashier grabbed the envelope, stuffed the pictures back inside, tossed it to the guy making coffee, rolled his eyes at me as if I was on his side (which obviously I wasn't). I got my coffee, let the guy know that I thought he was being very rude, and when I turned around I saw a line of customers. I felt really bad for them because he seemed so inconvenienced that he could hardly do his job properly without throwing change/donuts/coffee at the customers whilst spouting off snarky remarks for the rest of his shift. Although I do not frequent this location, I do come here from time to time. I'm always greeted with a smile, and felt as if my patronage was welcome. The facilities are always clean as are the common areas. This low rating is not a reflection upon the store itself, but on the clerk. For those who want the TL;DR version: my experience this particular time was a basic Dunkin Donuts with a little more attitude then necessary.

I have no idea why I keep going here, it's my last time trying to get a coffee from this location. They have THE WORST COFFEE EVER! The employees there seriously need to retake whatever coffee training Dunkin' provides. I've ordered different drinks from here about 6 times and not once have I had anything remotely good. They add way too much milk, they get the order wrong, they burn the coffee, they don't know what a chai latte is. Some of the other locations are great, the one on Ashland and Wellington makes a great coffee, but steer clear of this location.

I don't know why I keep coming, maybe I am hopeful that it will get better? Or maybe I'm a glutton for punishment. This is by far the Dunkin Donuts with the worst and slowest service. My last 3 visits I've had to get out of line because it takes so damn long to get to the front of the line and I'm going to miss my bus. I have waited in line for 9 minutes in the past with only 1 person in front of me. How is that possible? It's donuts and coffee for goodness sakes! Why do you want me to go to Starbucks? I want answers!

  • Mike K.

Why is it that Dunkin Donuts and certain silly TV shows think the entire nation patronize them and watch them, respectively? We're not a communist country - yet. Sometimes, customers at certain establishments will complain that customer service is bad because their cup isn't filled up or that there aren't enough accoutrements or condiments. Dunkin Donuts does its best to balance things out by overcompensating. When you order a coffee at Dunkin Donuts and ask for cream and sugar, you're inevitably going to get practically an entire pint of cream and a whole bowl of sugar. There's no cheating the customer at Dunkin Donuts. Until next time, America. Three stars.

this is a Dunkin' Deli location that is suppose to serve sandwiches as well. the place is huge and has lots of seating.. i ordered a sandwich and the guy said it is not available... i ordered another one and it's not available as well.. and i finally got one that is available after the n'th trial. Then i wanted the $0.99 coffee promoted on the big poster at the door.... and the person said the promotion won't start until next week on monday.. (its a wednesday that day) I agreed with the other reviews here... you could tell the people have less experience in customer skills. Epic fail!

"Although i used to like this store I will no longer be going there becuase of their idiotic parking policy. I got a $115 parking ticket after buying a sandwich and then running across the street to Walgreens for 10 MINUTES before returning to my car. This is the most uncustomer friendly policy I have ever seen and I think everyone who goes here should realize how STUPID the store managment is to such a policy to exist. I tried talking to the manager, but he was "out at lunch" at 3PM. What makes this worse is that there were only 5 other cars in the parking lot at the time since the other store in the strip has gone out of business...perhaps the idiot with the boot chased all their customers away.

I do not recommend this Dunkin Donuts at all. I went in to buy coffee and then went across the street to drop off a friend. I was gone for less than five minutes and got a boot on the car. When I called the manager of the store he did not care, nor did he show any interest in smoothing things over.

YOU READ THE SIGN I was waiting in line to order my iced coffee. Recently I've become addicted to DD but the owner here may have cured me. About two people in front of me in line, when the lady at the front had just ordered. The young man behind the register gave her the total amount and she said, "Isn't the coffee suppose to be 99 cents!" The young kid looked confused and made eye contact with the owner who had just finished making the ladies drink. The owner said, "No it's not 99 cents!" The lady looked and said, "It says 99 cents after 3pm" The Owner responds, "You read the sign!" "I did read the sign!" She responds. Owner (with his voice raised), "YOU READ THE SIGN!!!" Again the lady says, "I did. Why don't you read it!" Again in a louder voice, the Owner, "YOU READ THE SIGN!!! (It kept getting louder every time he said it) At this point I was getting embarrassed for the lady and the owner. This conversation was turing into the worse Abbott & Costello bit I ever heard (search Who's on First?). And it seemed to keep going. Finally the lady just turned around and walked out the door. I wanted to applaud her move but I was afraid I might get that unpaid coffee drink thrown in my face.. Then the owner started yelling, "I made your drink. You have to pay for it. You can't walk out the door. You're not going to pay for it?!?!" I was really shocked at the lack of customer kindness by this guy. If the lady made a mistake then maybe the owner should have explained it instead of yelling at her to READ THE SIGN. Obviously she read it but maybe it needed to be explained. I read the sign and it said, "Iced coffee for 99 cents any size from 3pm to 6pm". That seemed easy enough. Then the customer ordered a drink based off the sign and the owner started yelling. I think he might have gotten off on this power trip. Using my detective skills, I think the lady ordered a Large Iced Mocha believing that was considered an iced coffee. The owner never explained it to her but just kept yelling "YOU READ THE SIGN!" For the sake of the customer, he should have explained her mistake if she really made one. What I didn't like was the customer behind the lady made a joke by ordering the same thing and the owner shot him a look. Then the customer laughed and the owner laughed. It was not a nice display of disrespect for all of us customers waiting in line. Let's just say I lost my appetite for the iced DD and walked out the door empty handed. If the owner has that much disrespect for his customers, then he doesn't need my business. I know it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks but I hope this guy figures it out because his actions behind the counter aren't perceived well on my side. "YOU READ THE SIGN!!!!!!"

This location has gone way down hill in the past 30 days. They are never sufficiently staffed, unless of course they are being inspected by Dunkin Donuts, then they bring in staff from their other locations to give the allusion that it's run properly. The good staff they have had in the past couple years have all left, and now there is a group of people that are friendly - but unprepared and untrained...and cannot remember a drink order for more than 10 seconds...not to mention the wait is obnoxious these days. The muffins are hard as a rock these days and on Monday one employee was verbally assaulting another employee, you guessed it - in front of customers. Where is the management, the supervision and someone who actually gives a care about this place. Running it in the ground and disgruntling the regular customers who have been faithful for a few years at least. Get it together!

I doubt anyone comes on here to read reviews for major chains, let alone a specific location but I don't know where else to go to complain, so here goes ... I came in this morning during my commute to get a bagel with cream cheese. No big deal, right? But oh Hugo, Hugo, Hugo, how angry you have made me. I like to think I'm not THAT impatient so after paying, I waited by the counter to get my order. But as I waited, I saw 2, 3, then 4 people!! come and go after me with way more complicated orders. The last two were some of Hugo's friends ("Heeey Hugo!!") and got their stuff right away, including what I'm pretty sure was MY bagel. (Of course, I can't be sure since they were speaking a language I can't understand.) Why?? Well, because apparently Hugo's friends get preferential treatment here! Duhhh! They got everything while I stood by like an idiot. At this point, I got too annoyed and complained. Plain bagel? Plain bagel? YES! for the frickin fourth time, Hugo, PLAIN BAGEL! Cream cheese? Cream cheese? YES!!! Ugh, this really isn't that complicated!! Look, he's probably a nice guy. But personally, I think it is unacceptable to give your friends food before someone who's been waiting 10 minutes already. Unacceptable! Next time, I'll go to a different Dunkin Donuts. Grrrrrrr ....

It is hard for me to give such a low score because I truly love dunkin donuts but this location is awful. There is always such a wait and at first I thought it was just a popular and busy place but I soon learned that they are under staffed and that is why it is so slow. I think that it is family working there but regardless there is only about 2 people working on busy mornings and they take forever so you should probably be pretty committed to ordering any food because you should expect to wait and then most likely receive the wrong food.

Damn it with the 5 day old donuts. Dry, tastless and down right wrong. You could use them as weapons to mame someone. Was not worth the money. I wouldnt feed these to a homeless person. -B

This Dunkin' Donuts has 2 things going for it, nothing and not a lot. The location is constantly under staffed and when I say under staffed I mean every time I have stopped in they have had only 1 person working behind the counter. They might as well make it self service ( new business idea) Its a huge location which should never have just one person working there I have seen paper stands with more employees. God forbid someone orders a sandwich in fact the last 2 times I stopped in I left empty handed as someone decided to order a sandwich and waiting over 5 minutes for a doughnut is just to long.I am no rocket scientist but how about 2 people one to take orders one to make sandwiches. OK lets talk doughnuts they have a better selection at 7-11 back in the good old days when DD made the doughnuts they had a varied and fresh selection all the time. Id be able to go in at 3am get a dozen to munch on while I watch late night TV id maybe get a coconut a couple chocolate glazed a couple cake a jelly or 2 and my fav the buttermilk the DD was my oyster when it came to doughnut selection. Only problem with that is when id wake up the next morning and say I cant believe I ate 8 doughnuts. Now late night DD only has a minimal selection and what they do have is at less then its doughnut tastiness to say the least. A sad let down I use to like there doughnuts but now going there just a waste of time. Hello 7-11 a few doughnuts and I might have to get one of those hostess cherry pies with the sugar glaze also.

It's ok. This place it's as bad as some people say it is... but it's definitely not as good as it could be. There has been a dramatic decline in quality and customer service for Dunkin Donuts overall all in the past several years, since it's glory days. It's no longer the days of the famous, "it's time to make the doughnuts" commercials. Now, most locations are run by people that have no interest, let alone passion for this delicious ring of goodness they are selling. In fact, I know a couple that owns/operates one and they said they had never tasted a doughnut until just before making the investment. With all that said, their recipe is pretty darn tasty and they also have great coffe and coffee drinks. Plus, this location has ice cream... mmm.

So, I feel kinda funny reviewing a Dunkin Donuts -it's maybe not the uber "cool" thing to do on Yelp, when there are so many great restaurants and such to review. However, as a "business model", I have to give a little shout out to the "vibe upgrade". Dunkin Donuts locations, historically, have been kinda shi**y, hole in the wall, 3am kinda places. However, I believe in order to stay relevant and compete with Starbucks, Dunkin's "vibe" has upgraded. This particular location is either newer or remodeled. It's open, well lit and was actually pretty cute inside. Like if Panera met a donut shop and they had a really cute kid together! This is like a Super Dunkin -donuts, the Baskin Robbins ice cream AND a whole bunch of new sandwich and lunch choices. My boyfriend and I had an appointment for a massage next door and popped in here for a tasty sandwich so we wouldn't be starving (aka distracted) during our massage. Cute place! Props to the execs at Dunkin for keeping the business alive for more than 20 years and making such improvements. Looks good.

Came in here to get a hot chocolate and a donut after dealing with having the AAA guy change my flat tire out in the snow Thursday at one AM. I paid for only one donut but the dude at the counter put THREE in my bag, how cool is that? I did get weird vibes at the line of men waiting in line to use the ladies' room. But hey, it was reasonably clean and it doesn't really matter anyway where you go wee as long as you don't wee on the floor.

Read the reviews, but had no service problems when I came in ~10PM on a Sunday. Got my donut holes (chocolate, glazed cake, and glazed raised) quickly and was out the door. Fast, friendly, and tasty donuts to boot. No complaints here.

This Dunkin' Donuts is pretty bad, about as bad as you'll find in Chicago. Unfortunately, it's the closest one to where I lived. But I'm hooked on DD coffee, so I was a frequent visitor. DD has the best coffee in Chicago in my opinion. And the coffee here is standard Dunkin Donuts coffee. As for the food here? I'd avoid it. This DD is so damn slow, they generally get your order wrong, and they often overcharge me. So come for the coffee, check your bill, and enjoy your day. I really do miss that coffee.

are you kidding me. getting me an iced coffee should take fifteen seconds on a bad day if you have one arm. unless you have twenty minutes to wait for a cup of coffee avoid avoid avoid.

Love this place because of the location and their hours... buuuuut on the flip side this place is basically a silo housing the drunk homeless people all throughout the day. Basically it's a Dunkin Donuts. If you're been to one then this one won't surprise you. Same donuts, same coffee, same food. But you get a light sprinkling of vagrancy to boot.

    (3)
  • Scott P.

Terrible. The store is more or less a front for a kick-back scam they've got going with Global Parking. A cup of coffee and a donut is likely to cost you $115 when your car gets wrongly booted and held hostage by a lurking parking lot lackey. Dunking Donuts refuses to take responsibility for this extortion. AVOID THIS LOCATION.
