Awesome people and good food!!! The grilled chicken wrap is very filling and the sweet potato fries are great. Thank you Duff's.

This place is the best. Their delivery is fast and accurate, their customer service is friendly and their food is awesome! The menu is straight up comfort food. Greasy and perfect. I sincerely feel they have the best fries in the city, the pizza puffs are sinful, and they will deliver a cookie dough avalanche to your front door. Great place. Great, great place.

Convenient place for a snack. Food usually pretty good. I like the ease of the drive thru.

I picked up an Italian Beef & Fries here yesterday. They use the pre-made rubbery type. The fries has this weird coating on them, ruined the flavor. Never Again

I just ordered from here for the first time. Delivery was fast, courteous. The food is great. Nice variety of pizza puffs, hot dog and sausage/beef combo were outstanding. My fries were even crisp when they arrived. I think I have found a new favorite. Nice job Duff Dogs keep up the good work.

Food only gets them 3 stars, I give them an extra for their customer service! First, lets talk food... love that they give ya free cheese (although I didn't get any) with your fries and 2 onion rings... but the dogs, they were... not the best. The hot dog itself was fine, but the toppings were just too much! Mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes (even though I don't eat them), peppers and celery salt is plenty, but lettuce, cucumber and pickle slices, not so much. And it was kind of gross that I got the celery salt on top of the pickle slices and nothing else really... so just kind of yuck, couldn't eat them by themselves because they were all celery salted up. Next, Customer Service... wow! Popped through the drive thru in the middle of the day, they were slow, but answered every question I had, gave me small talk while I waited for my food and generally were great. I will likely go there again, but either skip the dogs or get them and just remember to get them without the celery salt and pickles.

This is the BEST place to go for a great Chicago dog and cheese fries..... oh the cheese fries. They have become an addiction. One I am not proud of - but I am sure I am not the only one! And that cute little onion ring (or two) they throw in there... LOVE IT!

Too bad there's no zero star option. I can't believe anyone rates this place above one star, although I do note the higher ratings are old. Out of necessity, I ordered delivery from them about a half dozen times. Our orders were always screwed up, delivered cold, or completely inedible. The last time we tried them, we all got sick, nausea, diarrhea, the works. When we went into the restaurant to inform them, so they could check to see what needed to be rectified, we just left, unsurprised that we had gotten sick. The place was FILTHY. The food stinks. Service is awful. The prices are too high. This place has no redeeming qualities. I predict it closes down within a year, if even that long.

I work in the area and during my lunch I enjoy going to Duff's Dogs. Their fries are amazing as well as their meals. I enjoy the fact that they include the taxes with the prices. I would give this place a 5 star if they had more seating room inside, but other than that great joint and great customer service!

I went to Duffs Dogs a week ago with my family and I have to say I was very disappointed. The tables were filthy, I pointed it out and with four people on staff working the one young man at the register continued taking orders as the rest stood around and talked to one another as they continued to prepare orders. My food was overcooked and the buns were stale. I don't think I'll be coming back. For such a famous hotdog stand the need to work on their customer service skills.

Duff's Dogs is fantastic!! They have all the items of a regular hot dog joint if you need your Chicago fix, but what makes them great is the selection of more unique options. They have several different types of pizza puffs (including taco and gyro!), fried mac and cheese bites, toasted ravioli and a couple dozen shake flavors. Nacho cheese is free with everything along with much of their sauces. The best part is their prices! Holy cow, you cannot get more affordable food within city limits. Someone is running this place right!!!

This place is a waste of my money. You can keep the cheese! UPDATE!!!!! 2-9-2010 WOW,WOW,WOW ALL I CAN SAY TO THE OWNER OF DUFF DOGS IS, CALL OFF YOUR DOGS. YOUR FRIEND/FAMILY SENT THIS TODAY. TELL NICOLE TO GROW UP. Disrespectful "I am sorry but you are extremely rude. Duff's Dogs has awesome food! Maybe you should try a place more than once to give a new family owned place such a crappy review!" I WAS THERE 3 TIMES AND MY ORDERS WERE COLD OR WRONG. NOW I QUESTION THE INTEGRITY OF THE OWNER? NICOLE IS HURTING YOUR BUSINESS, NOT HELPING. GOOD LUCK!

Okay, I'll be totally honest: I'm being slightly generous with my star rating but only because I truly have faith these guys will get their act together. I walked in thinking this would be an average grease joint but in reading the menu and looking around I realized it's not for 2 reasons: 1) Their menu looks VERY promising- free cheese for fries, two free onion rings with everything, prices are straight forward with taxes included, free refills, friendly staff. 2) This is a family establishment that is being run by a (significantly young) bunch...I'm assuming they are siblings? All in their late 20's and early 30's from what I saw. So here are the downfalls which I'm pretty sure will be corrected sooner than later. (Especially if they are reading these reviews!) Their service is REALLY slow. I think they are aware of this and are apologetic, but it is annoying, I'll admit. They haven't gotten their rhythm as far as far as effiently preparing food to have ready for the masses. The thing that really kills it is that since they are so slow to put the entire orders together, some (or most...or all) of our order came out warm instead of hot. I'm all about supporting the underdogs, especially those brave enough to open up a business like this in an economy like ours. I will for SURE be going back, but I'll give them a month or two while they get their act together. (For free cheese I may not wait TOO long though!)

The food is good. I love their huge burgers and simply appreciate all of the toppings that they include. The Italian Beef is also pretty good. What sets them apart in my opinion is their service. Totally love the small details. The free cheese, the 2 onion rings with every order of fries, etc. The staff is very friendly. I like that the total price of all items already includes taxes. The one thing that I don't like much is that even on orders under $20, you still have to sign the receipt when paying with a credit card.

  • Allen Z.

I give the burgers and dogs three stars (its hard to mess those up). I did not get any raw food or strange combos of stuff I have never had on a hot dog before. Where Duff's differs is their ice cream and shakes. The only other ice cream shop any where in the neighborhood is baskin robbins or dq. Duffs original ice cream and shake combos will bring me back for more.

Great neighborhood place. Good food at good prices. Fast delivery. They also have friendly employees. Best fries and they have free cheese! Yeah strange topping as other Yelpers say but just ask for what you want and you will get it.

This place is great! So clean & I love open kitchen so you can see kitchen is very very clean. Really cool & outgoing staff. I was surprise when I read all the reviews of slow service. I was in & out like 5 mins. The food was really good. The order of fries are huge. We had hot link & chicken wrap all serve hot. Give this place a chance the neighborhood deserve a great family run neighborhood joint ;)

I've been driving by this place since it opened and noticed the big crowd they always have, so I decided to stop in and give it a try today. I ordered a hot dog w/fries, a supreme tamale, and hot wings. The dog was OK. I think that they are a little too creative with the toppings. Sure, I could order it the way I want, but when I order a dog with everything in Chicago, I expect it to be a certain way. This is not it. Cheap sliced hamburger pickles instead of spears and green pepper? Are you serious? I'd expect something like that in Los Angeles, not Chicago. At some point, you need to realize where you are and adjust your product accordingly. It has a poppyseed bun and it tasted like a Vienna, so it had some good points. The fries were good. They were thin, slightly on the overcooked side (in a good way), and tasty. Better than average. A big bonus are the two free onion rings you get with each order and all the free cheese you want. Excellent. The tamale is a typical Chicago "fake" one ala Tom Tom. I like them. They are all the same, nothing to talk about. The hot wings were disappointing. A big part of hot wings, to me, are the bones. It's just not as much fun to eat without the bones. The hot wings were the meat with the bone taken out. When I order hot wings I expect wings, not nuggets. These were more like nuggets. It's not the same and I would not have ordered had I known. Other than that, they were crispy (thank God) and juicy. They would probably be pretty darnn good if they would leave the bones attached. I love crispy hot wings. I absolutely can't stand the soggy, limp-wristed, floppy chicken crap they sell as wings at places like Dominos. So, I appreciate the fact that they cook them well. All in all, this is a good place. The service was excellent, the staff were great. It's wonderful to see articulate grown ups working behind the counter instead of pubescent children texting behind the register. I'll be back. My only hope is that the owner can maybe adjust fire a bit on some of the eccentricities. Sure, you can add your own style. But, unless it's really blowing people away, set it to the side a little and emphasize what's known to work. Take a trip to some of the popular fast food places and see what makes them so good. I think this place will do fine. It's always very crowded. It's a great location and the owner really knows how to put the place together to make people happy.

This place is great for junk food, double check your items before leaving too many times i get home and something is missing.

I am updating to a 2.5-3 because we've found, as time goes on, the quality of the food seems to have slid a little. Perhaps it's because I get things to go/delivered but literally every burger looks like they stepped on it before they wrapped it. Also, delivery seems like the kinks aren't worked out still - many MANY times they have gotten our order wrong, forgotten part of our order or we got someone else's order. First time I mentioned to them and they took care of it and it was fine (in fact, impeccable service but the next few times it just kind of got old and I didn't even bother calling and going through the hassle. Nor do I want to get the reputation of "that woman who's order is always incorrect"). I still think supporting a family owned business is important, but I think I'll limit my visits to when I can eat there.

I've only gone through the drive-thru, but so far all has been good. We've tried the hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches (grilled and crispy), fries, and shakes. I haven't really been disappointed with anything. When hungry, it's been tasty and filling. I like that they throw in 1-2 onion rings with meal. And just as important... the service has been great. They're always very friendly and polite.

Open late, Food is cheap and a big selection on the menu = 2 stars. First time I ate here the food was only Ok, but then again I was drunk. Second time it was horrible, and third time even worse. Stale/ hard hot dog buns and old fries? I do not recommend.

This place has everything all kinds of burgers, dogs, beefs, polish, etc. plus they got the tamale bowl which is great. They also have a variety of smoothies and shakes. They always seam busy, I recommend calling for pickup.

Used to be my favorite place but forgot to put my pizza puff in my order and when I drove back they said I hadn't ordered one. I purchased another one but check my bank account on my phone and the original charge included the pizza puff. Only refunded the second pizza puff half passed apology never coming back. Update he actually gave me a second pizza puff but I think he caught me on yelp still adding a star.

Very good products but the food is way overpriced for this location... downtown prices

Wow. Duffs is great. Local neighborhood spot takes me back in time. Always get the Chicago dog and it's great. Lots of condiments on the counter for your pleasure including hot melted cheese.

  • Stephannie M.

Pretty decent food. Kinda pricey. But their fries and cheese are amazing! I always get the Polish & fries. Yummy. The only thing is that the place is super tiny & usually filled with 12 year old kids messing around & being obnoxious, so it kinda sucks when you don't really wanna be around that kinda thing.

  • Nikki K.

The food is always excellent and the service is very friendly. This place gives free cheese with your meal which happens to be super tasty and a great feature. Also, the prices include tax so you know what you are paying The food is super quality and is a true staple of Chicago comfort food. I recommend the cheese curds.

Second time to order from here. Both times pick up. Employees are always nice. This last time I ordered, I got a text saying order will be ready in 45 mins due to them being busy, I thought to myself, no prob, it's lunch time, better getting a text versus waiting without reason. I then get a phone call updating me it's actually 5 mins vs 45. Sweet... Husband and I go through the drive thru and I check the order, and it's missing a sandwich... Guy was SUPER nice about it, apologized, and threw in free cheddar balls and onion rings! Will we be back? We already have been back (and it's a little out of the way for us), but that's absolutely no prob for great service and food!

This is the only drive thru in the neighborhood that isn't a McDonalds or Burger King. So sometimes I have to do the mom thing and make a stop because I'm super tired and the kid wants a hot dog for dinner. Located on Austin, not far from the Austin exit on 90, so coming home from the burb's it's an easy stop. The food here reminds me of my highschool cafeteria. And this was way before cafeteria's started trying to be all healthy. The burgers are flat and tasteless and the fries are ok but greasy. Cheese for fries comes with every order and you bet it's that pump cheese found at convenience stores or movie theaters. The hot dogs are OK. Nice snap to the bite. But they can't seem to execute a Chicago Dog very well. The bun gets too soggy and that's just gross. The kid only likes a plain dog and those seem to held up all right. The guys working here all seem nice.

The only thing I would order from here is soft serve ice cream. Drive thru is slow, I'm pretty sure our cashier was on something. The place is extremely dirty!!!!!! Come on guys, pick up a rag or a broom and clean this place, it makes the neighborhood look bad and makes all of your employees look Dirty. I'm really surprised nobody has gotten sick!!!

  • Janine K.

I used to live in this area and I can't recall of any other drive through hot dog places...hey, sometimes you just can't get out of the car...like today, we had the dog in tow. And sometimes, you just feel lazy. Ok, so we passed this place as I've passed this place hundreds of times (I think it used to be a Taco Bell?) anyway... grabbed a few hot dogs, fries, and I got myself a tamale as well. The dogs were good, so were the fries... fries come with one hot dog, or if you order two, but if you order three, you have to order an additional order of fries. The tamale was a little on the dry side... it wasn't so good, but the free cheese was a nice plus! I just threw some ON the tamale :)

You can't go wrong at this place - had their jalapeño poppers, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs and it's just good ol' American food that's hot, fresh, and delicious. They'll give you cheese on the side for your fries too! Great service, nice folks and good food. We're always ale to find parking since they have a lot. The place reminds of the 50's with the decor and the staple American food. It gets busy during the winter and summers too. I love this place; such a great go to!

I mostly order take-out or delivery from Duff's because they deliver within the neighborhood. Excellent hot dogs, burgers, curly fries, and milkshakes. I'm not a fan of onion rings but the "2 free with every order" is a nice signature touch. Customer service is excellent too. I had a delivery where the driver did not have the right change for me so he went back to Duff's (leaving me with the food) and came back with the change. As a dine-in place, it's small and gets crowded. Ample parking though and picnic tables outside! Their bathroom is in the back through the kitchen and as the parent of a small child, I appreciated that they let us use it, but it was kind of yucky and my child didn't want to actually use it. No reason not to go back though.

This place is great. Wonderful staff. The hot dogs are amazing and the French fries are super fresh. Definitely recommend. And don't forget the FREE CHEESE!!

  • Tina G.

Giving it 3 stars just for the food, the food was good pretty good as well as the curly fries. Free cheese too hey! But the customer service was really bad, guy took 5 mins just walking back and forth no welcome no hey guys nothing! The cook looked like he just rolled outta bed!! We asked him for some jalapeños and gave us a really bad attitude! The place was a mess, tables werent clean, cheese was all over the counter; no type of organization. Boxes everywhere, not to mention the title was coming off, no salt on the sideway outside not even shoveled!! Couple people almost tripped. What a waste, go through the drive thru, dont have to deal with the mess inside!

So me and my coworkers where excited when this place opened the food is so delicious and the price cant be beat the one thing that kept US from returning was it was winter time and they didnt have the heat on in the front or it seemed im a big guy it takes a lot to get me to freeze and i was cold so cold i couldnt even enjoy my food so since then i just haven't been back i know its a small family owned place but thats not good

  • Ryan M.

Duff's is great. It's simple food made well at a good price. I've ordered delivery from Duff's several times and it always arrives quickly and they get it right. The sides are tastey and they make a good dog. I'm a big fan!

    (4)
  • Rachel S.

The food is awesome. The prices or great!!!! The cheddar cubes and four cheese pizza puff is yum.

    (5)
  • Todd A.

A fine hot dog stand! The polish is done well with freshly grilled onions. Free cheese for your fries is never a bad thing. The "spicy" curly fries are not, but taste fine. The guys behind the counter is pretty nice and helpful if you're stuck on deciding between something. This is the first place that has different types of pizza puffs, which is new to me. As for the price, it's typical hot dog stand prices, but everything includes tax, so little math is required. The only thing that I don't like is the limited dining area. Not a lot of seating options inside, especially if you're a family of four. Outside there are more tables, but they're close to Austin, so you're going to hear a lot of traffic. But as complaints go, it's pretty small.

  • Susan S.

Is there a no stars rating? The one star is for location ...walking distance from our new home. Hot dog had lettuce...No! Fries tasted like cold fish...served even colder. Service super slow ...even with staff wearing headphones. I had hopes and they were dashed....without flavor. Update August 2014: We thought we'd give them a second chance on the soft serve ice cream cone...what could go wrong? Well as we watched the server lick his fingers before he reached for the cone to fill it, we knew. Took the cone and dumped it in the garbage outside. The place was kind of dirty and wanted to think that was because it may have been a busy day. But that shouldn't get in the way of basic hygiene. Now I will never go back, no matter how "finger lickin' good" it might be to other customers.

    (1)
  • Ed A.

I don't get it. I really don't. How hard is it to make a hot dog? One bite down... okay, good but nothing special. Second bite... wtf? I bite into a hard ball of meat. Looks like someone overcooked the hotdog. It was disgusting. If you can't do what the business is named after them there is a problem. This place offers all the basic Chicago staples, sausages, beef's, corndogs etc. and the interior is nice for what it is. I may try this place again but I won't be ordering a hot dog. The french fries are pretty good though

    (2)
  • Jerzy M.

Not the nicest looking place BUT the dogs are great! People who work there are nice and taxes are included! Easy to pay/split especially when placing multiple orders for a group.

Great hot dog and fries. Food was seasoned well and fries were crunchy not soggy. They also serve Pepsi products big +!

We sorta got lost during a snow shower's on 2-8-14 but I think that was a good thing. We stopped in for lunch, wondering ,"What was a kicker" ? which was on the display as we drove around the block for the 2nd time. We went inside I order the Duff Dog & fries & Pepsi. she ordered the same. The nice thing I noticed that they have shredded lettuce on the the hot Duff dog along with the other toppings. I thought it was kinda weird but you can't taste it. It's actually smart idea to get all your veggies in your hot Duff dog. The french fries are to die for hot and that crunchy. We'll will go back again The best part they have The BELLY Points- YEAH...

  • J T.

Went there yesterday for 3 hotdogs....Must say worst experience ever! I was the only car in the drive thru and Waited 20 minutes for hotdogs!! As I was ordering, all the hotdogs come with fries well the guy asks me if I want fries?? What was he going to charge me extra for additional fries?? I had to tell him that all hotdogs include fries!!! Duh! Then the worker asked if I wanted cheese with the fries....aren't they suppose to be free with all orders???? So I say yes and when I get home, there is not one cheese in the bag! And besides that, all the fries were burnt and tasted horrible! Definitely will not be back. Waste of money for my friends and I! Find somewhere else to go! Terrible service!! Oh yeah....and who puts lettuce on a hotdog?!?!?

    (1)
  • Amaliya L.

I have driven by this place for years. I have no idea why I never tried it before. I will say this....I loved it so much that we went twice in one day. Their hot dogs rock. They have that snap when you bite into it and perfectly steamed buns. For $7 you get 2 dogs, fries and free cheese sauce on the side and 2 onion rings. It is so frigging good. We also ordered their strawberry milkshake and double dipped Italian sausage and beef. Some of the best that we have ever had.

    (5)
  • Anna W.

I loooove this place! I definitely come here when I'm in the mood for a hot dog. Yes, I am one of those freaks who likes lettuce in their hotdogs. The service is great & the guys are really nice. Love that tax is included in prices. And free cheese, don't forget the cheese! Will be back soon.

  • Kristen S.

The food is really good at Duffs but it is VERY greasy! The sides are almost all deep fried and the bags they come in are soaked in oil. I can only eat at Duffs every so often because of the grease but also because of the prices. The prices include tax which is nice but are pretty high. It's easily over $40 for my family of three to eat at Duffs. That's too much for what you get in my opinion. The food as I said is very good. I really like the fried chicken sandwiches and the ice cream cones. The $1 cone gives you a good amount of ice cream. I love that they serve Mac and Cheese bites but it makes me mad that I'm paying $2.50 to get 5 bites. That's $.50 a bite. The cheddar bites are really good too and you get more than 5! I don't usually get the burgers because the meat is too soft and the burgers I've had have fallen apart. They also put too much on their burgers. I don't want sport peppers and green peppers on my burger. And on that thought, I don't want lettuce on my hot dogs! Yuck! The free cheese is great but I always feel guilty eating here because of the excessive grease and cheese. You always get two free onion rings with your fries though so I guess that's pretty great.

Food is awesome. I just wish they would clean the dining room more often. Tables are dirty and a broom wouldn't hurt. So I guess drive thru for me from now on. Out of site out of mind.

I love my neighborhood hot dog place. Staff is friendly. Tax is included so it seems your getting a simply priced food item. I love LOVE the fries. They will be the death of me. My kids love the cups of cheese. Family Oriented place. GREAT JOB.

  • Dennis C.

Pretty much all I've had from Duff's has been hot dogs. I think I maybe had the curly fries once with my hot dogs. Very good classic Chicago style hot dog with unusual addition of iceberg lettuce [I always ask to have them leave off the iceberg]. Thanks guys for keeping up old school Chicago tradition with proper ingredients including piccalilli and poppy seed on the bun!

    (5)
  • Pete V.

Little on the greasy side. Hot dogs were ok. Their fries were crispy, but it does have a frozen taste. The drive thru was a plus. I would not go out of my way to eat here again.

  • Jason J.

Have been here a few times now, and I really want it to be way better than it is. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but just not great. The free cheese thing is awesome, and they have gotten faster than they were when they opened, but some of the little things are just still off. I got a double cheese burger with everything on a pretzel bun. The bun was hard and fell apart, if I'm paying an extra buck for it then it shouldn't do that. Since when does anyone put sport peppers and green pepper on a burger? Too many things on a burger is a bad thing. A bit pricey for a burger that was okay too. And although they did get faster, they do seem to not quite understand how to deal with a big crowd. My wife had a turkey burger that was very good, and she said one of the best she's had. So I'll go back, but its mostly because it's close and there's worse around.

Duff's is Chicago comfort food. When I first moved here in 7/11, I wanted to know what a Chicago hot dog was like. This was the second or third place I tried, (and I've tried other places since then) and by far when I get a hot dog craving now, I come here. I was here on their opening weekend back in the summer of 2011, and the place just feels happy. Starting grad school, their open-late drive through and everything-included price(even tax) with free cheese sauce and a couple of onion rings with every meal in addition to my fries made me very happy. $4 and you walk away feeling like a king. They saved me that summer with free wifi when my AC died and I needed to study. Inexpensive comfort food, safe, well-lit, positive atmosphere, and great customer service. More specifics on food: The fries have a light coating that is has a nice flavor, and I'll admit that I love being able to customize my hot dog (or any item as I found out last night). There are the standard Chicago hot dog toppings for the traditionalists, but I like taking off the sport peppers and adding from their Extras menu for free. As another Yelp reviewer mentioned, lettuce is a less-traditional hot dog topping that comes standard. If you don't want it, then ask for it off without incident. I like the variety of toppings and combinations. It's like Five Guys for hot dogs. I was a regular before they had Belly and now use their free customer loyalty check-in station on a reasonably regular basis. My Dad and step-Mom came into town in early March, and I took them here to try the dogs. Besides my normal great hot dog, the sweet potato fries made us all happy. The same day during their visit, we came back after having dinner because my step-Mom wanted to try a customized milk shake. It was perfect. Hazelnut and amaretto (almond) flavoring with chocolate soft serve. Yummy! The next weekend, my boyfriend came to town. Again, I brought him here to try the hot dogs. The food and service kept up to the standards I now expect- nice guys (and gals) who care about making their business work. Now it's November and my husband (yep, same guy!), and I came to Duff's for the fourth time last night and tried out more items on the menu even though we now live in a different neighborhood. Duff's is down the street from some friends, and it's inexpensive "night off" food for newlywed's with a budget. I've seen lots of parents and kids/teenagers here, too, so it's definitely family friendly. They have free parking (huge plus for Chicago), and they have soft serve ice cream in addition to a wide menu. Any time I've asked about something, it's done quickly and they are immediately on it. Keep up the good work, guys!

Awesome hotdogs, burgers, pizza puffs, onion rings and fries. Their ice cream cones and shakes are delicious, too. Delivery is fast!

Duff's is your typical Chicago fast-food joint, but the small touches are what set them apart. They offer free cheese and a couple of onion rings with any meal, they roll the tax into the advertised price, and they deliver. Buyer beware: You get some non-traditional toppings on your food too. Green peppers on burgers, lettuce on hot dogs. I'm not saying it's bad thing, but it's different. We all know how snobbish some folks in this town can be about their "Chicago-style" hot dogs. The only downside to Duff's is that they close earlier during the winter. Their summer hours are great. Open late for those midnight cravings.

This is a pretty typical Chicago hot dog/beef/burger place, but they do offer a few nice perks that seperate them from the many other dog stands in the neighborhood. First they are open late, especially on weekends, you get a free cup of dipping cheese, and a couple onion rings added in with every sandwich, also its nice that the tax is built into the price on the menu, and my favorite extra- they deliver. Been to a million Chicago dog joints, but never had one that delivered to my door - this is really gonna be great come football season, satisfy the lunch craving and never miss a play. You can order online, and its a pretty nice ordering system, pick a chicken sandwich and then all the options will pop up, grilled or fried, pick your bun, all the toppings and your side, and amazingly they seem to actually pay attention and make everything exactly as ordered. Delivery is quick and the cup of dipping cheese is a nice freebie.

Speed has improved some based on old reviews. Went there on Sat at noon. Free cheese rules, but probably built into the price, which was a tad high, but not outrageous. Sides are actually pretty cheap though, but I only got a dog. My only complaint is that lettuce and green peppers are listed under "everything" but should be under extras.

Never going back. Food is overpriced for something that reminds you of your schools lunch special and their service is poor. I have ordered from there before when i was too hung over to get outta bed or just feeling lazy, and suddenly they stopped delivering to my house since I'm .2 miles outta their new ordering radius. I had given up on Duffs a while back because their delivery is slow, and couldn't stand getting raped by their prices, but thought id give em another shot since its been a while and figured they were doing good since they opened another location (which also wont deliver to my house due to me being 2 blocks too far), But i stand corrected and should of just listened to my gut and not wasted my time. Duffs is a big NO. ill drive past it every day and never go back there again.

After frying stale old fries a few times, they are going to taste and smell awful! If you like fresh french fries, then stay away- cause you may not get them! I had a mouthful of their fried twice, maybe fried trice fries yesterday - and even the free cheese didn't make them taste any better! Yuk, seriously! And the free cheese reminded me of the free government cheese they use to pass out of trucks during the 80s! The cheese is very generic, flavorless and congeals in no time. Not sure I would call it cheese. Nasty!

I went here on a sunday afternoon. This is just a review ont he Hot Dogs. They have a bunch of other items on the menu though. Ok. I hate to be so harsh since this place is new but It is in hopes they get their act together and take some constructive criticism. Atmosphere- Tables to eat outside and a few inside that seemed uncomfortable. Not a huge deal just observation. Hot Dog- They use Chicago Red Hots hot dogs. Bun was not steamed..or if it was I did not notice. They put Mustard, Relish, onion, lettuce, cucumber, sliced pickle, green pepper, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt and probaly anything else they have lol. Some may like this but I did not. The hot dog itself tasted fine but nothing special. Fries- Meh, again nothing speical. Onion Rings- again, nothing speical. typical frozen. Free Cheese- They do offer Free cheese sauce which was great because I found myself drenching my fries in them to cover up the lack of flavor but soon found that they somehow figured out a way to make the cheese sauce flavorless ! Service- staff was nice but moved very...very...very slow. I went with a few people and ordered 4 dogs and fries and it took what seemed to be 20 minutes with no real line. After reading other reviews this seems to be a regular occurance. Bottom line- If I am in the area and want a hot dog I would stop in but I will not travel a distance to go here. Maybe they are trying too hard or I am being too harsh becuase I am a hot dog purist. Also, $4 for an average NON-Vienna dog just does not cut it considering superior joints like Gene and Judes and Jimmys charges $2 and comes with 1000% better fries.

Everyone has a different standard for their fast food, so when I say I enjoyed Duff's burger, fries and shake I realize that YMMV. Still, I was impressed by how much customization was available for what is essentially a fast food place. The GrubHub page let me choose from a couple of dozen different alterations to my burger, including getting a pretzel bun instead of a plain hamburger bun. Right there, they won me over! And the long list of shake flavors was pretty cool though I tend to go with chocolate about 98% of the time. I did make an exception for the pumpkin shake in light of the time of year, and it was good, though not a patch on the pumpkin shakes from Culver's. But the shake itself was delivered cold and still thick, which is a nice change from most delivered ice cream. (Yeah, I know. I know.) The burger was tasty. I opted for pickles, grilled onions, bacon, cheese and mustard with sport peppers on the side. They nailed it. Bacon was crisp, onions were properly grilled and not greasy, there was just enough cheese, the pickles were properly sour and there wasn't so much mustard that it dripped all over while I was eating. The curly fries... meh, they were okay, but I'm a hard sell with most fries. I like them skinny, crisp on the outside and floury on the inside, and liberally salted. Neither the curly fries or the regular ones made much of an impression, and the cheese sauce that came along with the order didn't improve things. It was gelatinous. If this rating was for food alone, I'd have probably given them three to three-and-a-half stars. But the ability to get exactly what I wanted on my burger, to opt for something other than chocolate, vanilla or strawberry shakes, and the fact that it took about half an hour for the food to arrive impressed me enough that they got bumped up to four stars. We'll see if they keep them.

I live in the area and was very happy to see the old KFC being occupied and even more excited it was a hotdog stand! The food itself has great potential minus the weird stuff like lettuce on a hot dog. Their major flaw is their logistics. They are new and at the moment lack rhythm and timing. The result of this is cold food and hot fries or vice versus. I have been back twice since my initial trip and they still hadn't fixed the issues. I wish them the best and they have great potential, I just hope they can get the rhythm down soon because I would like to see them prosper and be open for many many years. As far as the other person being harassed by Nicole. I hope she realizing the point of yelp. It serves the customers with a forum to recommend and patronize establishments that deserve our money. It also serves the restaurants as a tool to become better. Owners should read their reviews and thank guys like mr cheese here for making them better. Business 101: please your customers, accept their feedback with a smile, and improve your business...cause If you don't I'm sure we'll see another vacant corner in Jefferson park. Good luck and I will be sure to revisit my rating as I see the improvements take place! Go duff dogs!

Their food is pretty good, but nothing too special. The service on the other hand is phenomenal :) Every time I've been there, it's been the same few men working, but they are a pleasure to talk to - always asking how your day is, and how everything's going. What's also nice is that the pricing up on the signs includes tax - $2.50, $3.50, $4.00 - love it! I go here because it is convenient for my lunch breaks, but it's not a bad choice. Overall, food - 3 stars, service - 5 stars. It evens out :)

This place is a great place to stop and grab lunch. I had their BBQ beef special the other day and it was outstanding. They have all of the basics, which are all good too: pizza puff, cheese sticks, etc. For the people complaining that lettuce doesn't belong on a hot dog, guess what? YOU CAN ORDER IT WITHOUT THE LETTUCE. DERRRRR! Anyway, I digress. The hot dogs aren't Superdawg or Gene and Judes caliber, but what is? If you want that, go to Superdawg or Gene and Judes. Duff's is a great neighborhood place with very good food. I will definitely frequent it.

Everything we ordered was good. The hot dog with everything (including the lettuce) was great. The chili cheese dog was ok...they really need to improve their chili.. The combo was tasty. The complimentary 2 onion rings that comes when you order a meal were very tasty. The fries are good. I absolutely like the idea that the prices posted include taxes, and also the free cheese and free refills are a nice touch. Also, they have 33 flavors of ice cream. I can't comment on the ice-cream cause I haven't tried any yet. The guy who took care of us was nice. I believe Duff's Dogs has great potential to succeed.

Duff's, you had us at free cheese!!!! My sister and I happened to be in the area decided we need some lunch after not finding the store we were looking for. After missing several other places (eg, wrong side of street, etc) we saw the sign for Duff's Dogs that said Free Cheese and Real Mac N' Cheese. That's all it took and we were there. So we ordered a cheeseburger (or a hamburger with free cheese), a crispy chicken sandwich, and cheddar balls. The fact that fries came with all sandwiches was nice but add two free onion rings...sweet!!! Then there is a dispenser with melted cheese for your fries (or anything else for that matter)...that is free too! Both sandwiches were nice sizes and you can customize them any way and there is no charges for extra stuff, the surprise was the bun. A bun sturdy enough and good enough for a burger loaded with toppings and not falling apart or becoming a slimy mess, which is great for a fast food stand. A nice amount of fries came with the sandwiches and they were actually seasoned correctly, not overly salty or completely lacking in salt. The sandwiches and fries were so plentiful, we couldn't finish the cheddar balls and half the burger. All in all a nice little place with friendly service. I hope to come back soon to try one of the million shake flavors and the mac n' cheese.

Got the hot Italian sausage tonight w/ sweet potato fries (out of curly fries at 6:45 PM on a Wednesday?? Sad.) The sausage itself remains one of the highlights of a standard dog-stand menu (other exceptions being the available pretzel roll and sweet potato fries). Good texture and flavor beyond the heat, with a satisfying bite, on a very fine roll. Sweet potato fries were far more successful than the last time I tried them, and that was a pleasant surprise. The down side? I asked for sweet and hot peppers, and my sandwich had exactly three strips of sweet peppers. This is not the first time this has happened, either. Toppings have been skimpy in the past (bacon burger with a miniscule amount of bacon on one previous visit, for example). These issues continue to relegate this place to an afterthought, second choice stop for me. Which is too bad-we need a place like this in the neighborhood, and I really want them to succeed. Just kick it up some, and lose the far too casual pace on the line. I cannot go three stars as there remains far too much inconsistency in the kitchen, still, and this place has been open for a good while now.

Wow. Duffs is great. Local neighborhood spot takes me back in time. Always get the Chicago dog and it's great. Lots of condiments on the counter for your pleasure including hot melted cheese.

Duff's is great. It's simple food made well at a good price. I've ordered delivery from Duff's several times and it always arrives quickly and they get it right. The sides are tastey and they make a good dog. I'm a big fan!

Not the nicest looking place BUT the dogs are great! People who work there are nice and taxes are included! Easy to pay/split especially when placing multiple orders for a group.

I have driven by this place for years. I have no idea why I never tried it before. I will say this....I loved it so much that we went twice in one day. Their hot dogs rock. They have that snap when you bite into it and perfectly steamed buns. For $7 you get 2 dogs, fries and free cheese sauce on the side and 2 onion rings. It is so frigging good. We also ordered their strawberry milkshake and double dipped Italian sausage and beef. Some of the best that we have ever had.

GREAT JOB.

Little on the greasy side. Hot dogs were ok. Their fries were crispy, but it does have a frozen taste. The drive thru was a plus. I would not go out of my way to eat here again.

LOVE IT!
