I attended an event here and had an incredible time. I have been coming to this bowling alley ever since I was in high school. I even had a few KingPin moments while bowling in some competitive tournaments. Once our team needed me to get only 8 pins to win the North Catholic League Title in the 10th frame...no pressure right! FYI we did win the title, but I had no idea I would be writing a review 25 years later for a restaurant in this same bowling alley. In fact, I had no idea this beautiful restaurant even existed. I never even walked through its front door. Yes it has its own entrance. As I went to the event, I decided to not walk into the bowling alley but directly from the parking lot through DRB Pizzeria's front door. For a minute I thought I had gone through a time portal and someone sent me to some really cool bar/restaurant. When did they build this place? There were amazing booths all around and each one had its own mini tv to watch the game plus there were plenty of tables in the middle too. In fact, there was not a bad seat in the house because there were tv's hanging everywhere. I decided to grab a seat at the bar where there were two games on the Bulls vs Cavs and NY vs Heat. Good news Bulls won and the Heat lost...yeah!!! At the bar I met Andrew the bartender/accountant and he was really cool with lots of personality. I had a hard time believing he was an accountant because he was so funny. He must pull accounting jokes in the office all the time like removing a few digits from a number and watching his fellow workers freak out. Andrew set us up with a few drinks to start. There are plenty of beers on tap to choose from too and the prices were not that bad plus I could order a pint, pitcher or a 100oz tube of beer. I love options plus there were bottles available too. The bar was fully stocked with a variety of different spirits, so there was plenty to choose from. I did start my night out with a Tito's & Tonic and then moved over to pints of Half Acre. While sitting at the bar, I started diving into the chips and salsa. I must say that the salsa was really good and it was not from a jar. I asked Andrew if it was homemade and he told me that the owner Mark makes it. What? The owner is making homemade salsa in a bowling alley restaurant? I started to put on my thinking cap and I started to think this place has some secrets going on. For example, I noticed on there menu that they have grass-fed beef burgers and yes this is a bowling alley. I am really starting to like this place. As we were drinking the salsa at the bar...yes it was really that good. We got to meet Mark the owner and we started telling him how good the salsa was. He told us that it was his secret recipe and I offered to be his assistant for the day to help him chop stuff. I figured it would be a good way to steal the recipe for my own use but I think he was on to me. Mark then brought me over some "Dragon Bites", which he is really proud of and he should be. It is a blended sausage wrapped in a fresh jalapeno and then wrapped in smoked bacon. One bite and I was in heaven from the flavor but my tongue was burning somewhere in hell. Again I have to stop for a second and think to myself. This is a bowling alley making fresh apps and not just throwing frozen food in a deep fryer. Okay this place is really starting to make me happy. I also had some BBQ chicken wings and some Buffalo chicken wings. Both were meaty and tasted delicious. Now I know where I can get some yummy wings when I want them. As Mark was walking by I asked him, do you make your own BBQ sauce and he smiled at me and said, "yes!" The BBQ sauce was a nice sweet sauce that tasted so good and Yes I did lick my fingers. Finally, Mark dropped off a plate of prime rib in front of me at the bar. Really? Fresh Prime Rib at a Bowling alley restaurant. Honestly I can not make this stuff up. The prime rib was so soft and tender I told Mark that he needs to start making prime rib sliders with dipping sauces. He looked at me and smiled and I think he might consider it. Hopefully he will name it after me or something. Okay this place is the real thing. I would have never guessed that I would get fresh homemade food in a bowling alley. I really only came here to bowl in the past and drink beer but now I think I might come here one night and just go to dinner. I really need to try more things on the menu. I know I am coming back for that burger and more of those Dragon Bites. I was really surprised at how good everything was and thought that this would be a fun place to throw a party in the future. I saw a catering package on the bar it was not bad at all for bowling, drinks and food. On a side note: at around 8:30pm on a Friday, the bowling alley turned off the lights and turned up the music, light show and fog machine. The place was packed. This place just keeps getting cooler and cooler!

Try the taco pizza! The staff here is really nice and the pizza is better than that at other family friendly recreational places (e.g. Chuck E. Cheese's, Dave & Buster's).

Italian Beef was NOT fully cooked. Nachos were basically just tortilla chips with a drip of cheese and a spoon of beef. Chicken wrap was bland. Will not eat here again.

This is a review for the pizzeria. DRB is the worst experience I've ever had ordering pizza. I used Grubhub and I initially chose the location because it was less than a quarter mile away from my apartment. Despite the close location, it took over an hour and a half (!) for my pizza to arrive from when I ordered it, and when it finally DID arrive (after several frustrated phone calls), it was lukewarm and stale. The pizzas were also ridiculously overpriced for what they were ($17+ each for medium pizzas with only two toppings). If you're in the neighborhood and looking for some pizza, DON'T get it from DRB.

Surprisingly great food. This is not typical bowling alley food, I promise. Chicken wings are top notch, sweet potato fries, hummus, even salads. Quality ingredients, well made. And the service is great.

pretty disgusting...the one star is for serving delivery in recyclable containers i have no food in the house besides one lonely grapefruit so pretty much anything should taste delicious right now...negative ive never seen a gray corn dog before have u? and its pretty hard to make a quality meal out of crappy ingredients (see canned mushrooms and uber fatty bacon as in one bite out of 2 strips contained meat) on an overcooked hard as a rock hamburger patty (that was supposed to be med-well) which was also missing onions even my milk shake was sub par...how do u screw that up u ask? ...easy...use freezerburnt ice cream o and everything was cold meh i wish i could take tonites meal back

Super cool bar/restaurant tucked away in the corner of a parking lot hidden down by the river. Great place to catch the game with t.v.'s every 15 feet around the place. The food will impress you. Yes, you heard me correct and yes this is attached to a bowling alley. The food is really good and really fresh and the price point will make you think, wait....what?? (extremely affordable) The salsa is fresh, not out of a jar or can, with diced tomatoes, jalapenos and mango! Yum! The burgers are grass fed!! DRB really puts effort and quality into the food. The staff are super cool and easy to talk to. Sit at the bar. It's fun to watch all the action. Cool exposed brick walls in the interior make for a fun atmosphere. Ample booths and tables to accommodate large groups and FREE parking in the lot!

I've ordered a few times, their pies haven't been consistent enough for me to want to order again. Maybe dining in is better?
