My fiancé and I came here for our cake tasting just the other day. Our cake was included through our venue for our wedding through Domino's. We met with Kathy and it was great! I brought in my own picture of the cake I wanted and it was no problem at all! The cake was great! We are going with a yellow cake with vanilla custard/strawberry preserves and chocolate mousse/raspberry preserves. The chocolate cake was really dry for some reason, but the yellow was great! I'll have to update my review after the wedding with some pictures!

Well, I guess the best compliment for Domino's Pastries would be that the guests devoured the Sweets Table within minutes. We had the Deluxe Deluxe Sweets package (not the official name), but it came down to about 5 or 6 desserts per person--wedding cake, other cakes, fruit tarts, eclairs, etc.. All of it, disappeared so quickly. Thankfully, the in-laws did their best to pack up one of everything to take home for us (bride and groom) to eat later that night. The wedding cake was exactly as I specified--easy on the frosting. It was all symmetrical and even (not lopsided), and delivered intact. I am embarassed to admit this, but the wedding cake was so good, that my husband and I ate the cake-top-layer the day after our wedding. I know, I know, tradition says that we were suppose to freeze it and eat it on our one year anninversary, but.... we decided to eat it that day, and heck, just order another cake for our one year anniversary. Thank you Domino's Pastries for making this easy and stress-free, and delicious!

Italian Bakery, yes please! They have really cute cakes here and all the coffee cakes you will ever need. This bakery reminds me of a favorite bakery of ours on Taylor street. I even brought my mom to check it out. Great prices and friendly staff. Delicious cheese danishes. I will come to pick up some coffee cakes for our staff meetings here.

This place is THE BEST. When we went to go pick our wedding cake, they gave us several pictures but I, of course, had to be difficult and pull up a design I wanted on my phone. Not only did they understand what I wanted they delivered PERFECTLY. All my florist had to do was place flowers strategically. Thank you so much for a perfect wedding cake for a perfect day. I can't wait till year one and we actually get to eat some :)

Domino's has been my go-to bakery for years. I have ordered from them for holidays, birthdays, showers, bachelorette parties and they even made our GORGEOUS wedding cake. Not only do they make beautiful cakes and pastries, they are so delicious! We always get compliments from our friends and family on the desserts. I recently ordered a first birthday cake for my son and they went above and beyond my expectations. I wanted a "Kentucky Derby" themed cake and they made an ADORABLE 4 tiered cake for him. I will post pics as soon as I get them back from our photographer. In my opinion Domino's is high quality at a reasonable price and I would not go to any other bakery!

Great family owned business. Wonderful pastries and specialties. We have ordered numerous cakes and they are the best! Just remember to bring cash.

For my daughter's 3rd bday, she wanted a 3D Snow White Cake. After some research (emailing 4-5 bakeries for quotes) I found the BEST quote here. The day of the bday party came and when I picked up the cake, it completely met our expectations to the "tee." Gorgeous...my daughter loved it and so did the adults. Another great thing was that the dress cake was moist even without filling. The bottom tier, was also very moist and the strawberry filling delicious. Highly recommend this bakery for your custom cakes. Service was great also! THANK YOU!!!

I got married in October of 2013. We got our cake from Domino's because it was included in our package from Ruffled Feathers. Basically, they messed up my cake. I wanted a simple cake that was ivory, with purple ribbon, and dots all over. You take away one thing from that and the cake becomes boring. They forgot the dots. Luckily, I decided to add flowers to the cake (from my florist), so it wasn't a total wash. Picking the cake was just slightly odd, since their picture books are 20 or 30 years old. A lot of the pictures were blurry. We picked one and showed the guy working, the cake and the number from the book. He wrote it down, with a few extra notes from us, but apparently that's not enough to get the cake right. The cake itself was OK. Nothing I'd write home about. I was just....disappointed.

This bakery is a perfect and delicious spot for wedding cakes! Usually you would think wedding cake is dry and gross, but NOT dominos pastries! The employees there for our cake tasting are very accommodating and knowledgeable with the cakes they have for weddings. The cake and the fillings are absolutely delicious!!!! The cake is very moist and the fillings are very flavorful.

Our wedding cake was included with our package at White Pines Golf Club. The Domino's staff was helpful and created exact cake replicas after I provided the images . They created a surprise groom's cake, which was a pyramid symbolizes my husband's fraternity. It turned out beautifully. I love how we were able to customize our cake however we wanted and they provided suggestions. The flavors were unique and out guests really enjoyed them. Thank you!

I used to come all the way from central and Caldwell just to go to this fabulous bakery. The eclairs are the best and the chocolate does NOT taste like plastic. Their miniatures are also great. I left one star off today because for some odd reason some of the butter cookies tasted a little like the refrigerator. I still go out of my way just for this bakery.

I had to edit since my wedding is now over. I didn't get to taste the cake much, but that's not their fault. It got compliments. The customer service thus far though, is not great at all...I called to schedule a cake tasting for an upcoming wedding...I left a message, a week later, no one called me back. I call again, and I have to leave another message because whoever I talk to doesn't do the appointments. I get called back and the lady tells me their next available appointment is over 2 months away! My wedding is in 3 months and our menu is due a month before...so that leaves us 3 days of wiggle room...pretty much have to go with that date even though it's not convenient and we have other things planned for that day...but Domino's is our only option because of a contract between them and our reception hall. I emailed them to tell them I was dissapointed in this and not one person apologized for the inconvienience or anything. All I get is "Call this number and talk to this person." It's partially my fault, for not looking into how long before you have to book. I thought a month or so before would be ok, but still...a simple "I'm so sorry we got booked, I"m sorry I didn't call you back right away" would be nice. Instead the attitude is "Well, that's the way it is, we're all booked up" If I had a choice I might look for another bakery that is more accomidating or at least is a little better in regards to customer service. When my wife actually met with them, she was put off by them, and I guess they weren't friendly very much just " what kinda cake ya want? we can do whatever". Not much for talking and discussing...also, it wasn't a big deal because we didn't care too much, but it could be for some. We asked for our cake to be very plain, no ornementation or anything, and they didn't really listen. They put extra stuff on it that we didn't ask for.

Our wedding cake came from Dominos and it was exceptional. We did not go for a tasting as I firmly believe any bakery in business for more then 50 years must be doing something write. We ordered marble cake with Bavarian cream and raspberry filling with buttercream frosting. We had a number of compliments on our cake how beautiful it was and how great it tasted as many wedding cakes are dry from being made ahead of time. Our cake was included with our reception hall but I would purchase from there again in a heartbeat if it weren't so far from my house.

I'm 37 years old, and have been getting my cannoli's from Domino's since I was a child. I will not go anywhere else, as I end up always comparing them to Domino's. Every year, I order my Birthday cake from Domino's, as well - with (I'm sure you can guess) Cannoli filling. It's small, looks completely outdated, and only takes cash - but THAT is what I love about this place! It's an authentic, Italian bakery. I even saw the little old man baker come out from the back, one afternoon. A little old Italian man.... still making pastries. Love it!! Did I mention the Cannoli's? **edited** As I read through the other reviews, I see so many Anti-Joe comments. I believe Joe was the little old man baker, from the back! He's old, he's Italian, and he bakes..... I guess being Italian & Greek myself, any straight to the point attitude is welcomed!

I went here with my mom because we were craving sweets and the bakery we usually go to was closed. We had a cake that was really tasteless and just bland. I ordered some of the little eclairs with white chocolate on top-they were bland and tasted wierd, the chocolate did not taste like chocolate but some bland flavoring and the inside cream was bland. The cannolis weren't horrible but weren't good either. They just didn't have much flavor and. Overall, I was really dissapointed by the selections here. Will definitely stick to my usual bakery.

The review is only regarding their cannolis. They have the smoothest, most tasteful cannoli I've ever had the pleasure of having. However, the cannoli pictured on my avatar isn't from this bakery.

We had a very similar experience to Matt's experience at our tasting. We also met with Joe. He did not introduce himself and he didn't seem like he wanted us there. However, I'm VERY happy that I decided to still stick with this bakery for our wedding cake because it turned out EXACTLY how I wanted it to. It was absolutely beautiful. I honestly did pick a pretty difficult cake design from a magazine picture I had found and asked Joe if they could make it and he assured me that they could. I was nervous though because there were no pictures like this cake in their binders. This cake was a five tiered cake and only certain layers had fondant that was draped over it to make it looked like gathered satin material. It also had tiny little silver flowers on it that draped from one tier to the next. When I walked into the hall and saw the cake, my mouth dropped open. I honestly was shocked how good it looked. It was exactly like the picture. So overall, I would definitely recommend this bakery but I would just warn you that you might not have a wonderful experience at the tasting, but you should still stick with them!

Sadly, I recently had an almost identical experience to that of Robert R. My fiancee and I went in for our scheduled tasting on 7/3/10, and while one couple was seated with a friendly-looking woman who was going through all the cakes and options, we sat at another table and were approached by a man who didn't tell us his name. (Turns out it was Joe; I had to ask his name about ten minutes into the meeting, because he never told it to us!) He was extremely rude and made us very uncomfortable. He dropped the cake books in front of us, then walked away. About 5 minutes later, he came back with cake samples, pointed out what each one was, and walked away again. A couple times, he would come by and stand about three feet away and just stare at us while we looked through books or tasted the cakes. At one point, he pulled a chair out, and we thought he was actually going to sit down with us and have a conversation; nope, instead he propped a foot up on the chair and stared at us some more. The cake samples were fine; there was your normal variety of cake types and frostings. We both thought the cake was a bit dry; however, the absolutely insulting customer service pretty much overshadowed any opinions we had on their cakes. When we finally got to ask this man some questions, he seemed to be annoyed or even offended by them. (For example, I asked him how long the cake would take to be made; he repeated the question back to me, like I was an idiot for asking the question, then sarcastically replied, "A couple of hours." I'm no baker, but I'm pretty sure wedding cakes take longer than a couple hours to make!) It became very awkward for us to try and figure out how to leave the appointment, so once another couple walked in, we got him to write up a quote and hurried ourselves out the door. Later on, I found out that the shop is owned by two brothers, Vito and Joe. Vito is apparently very friendly and provides excellent service; Joe, on the other hand, seems to be quite the opposite. We will not be returning to Domino's Pastries; if you are planning on going, then I would recommend requesting that you NOT meet with Joe, or you will not have a pleasant experience!

This bakery is really as good as it gets! I ordered my wedding cake from these people, and it was literally THEE best cake I've ever had! They have the best cannoli filling I've ever tasted in my life, and the pricing is modest. I loved the work they did for my wedding so much that I just ordered my husband's birthday cake from here. Again, moderately priced for what you're getting! Great place, worth the drive, and the customer service is phenomenal!

I found Domino's Pastries via Yelp and realized that I drive by it everyday to and from work. Reading the pretty positive reviews, I decided to go and check it out since my fiance and I have been searching for a bakery to make our wedding cake. Once we scheduled the cake tasting appointment, I thought I'd drop by to buy and sample some of their regular pastries. My fiance and I tried an eclair, tiramisu cake, and a cannoli. The lady who took care of us was very nice. Anyway, the pastries were okay--nothing to die for, but we decided to stick with our appointment anyway since wedding cakes are different than regular pastries. When we went, we were taken care of by an elderly lady who is, I presume, one of the ladies in the wedding cake department of the business. (I think this because when I called a couple times for wedding cake inquiries, I was always transferred to her.) She was nice; she gave us a few binders to look at, gave us some samples to taste, and took down some information in the case we decided to go with them. The cake dough was okay; most of them were very light and tasted very standard; my fiance and I liked the chocolate frosting the best, but again, the other frosting flavors were very standard and nothing out of the ordinary. The lady quoted us a price--which was very affordable!--and told us to give her a call and that she'd take care of us. (We were relieved because we read Matt B.'s negative review about the rude customer service he received. Another customer who was there for a cake tasting appointment was being taken care of by a man, and she was treated very rudely!) My fiance and I decided to go with Domino's, so I gave them a call on the Wednesday before Easter. (They're not open on Monday, and though they're there on Tuesday, I was told that they're not open for business that day.) The lady who answered the phone put me on hold so that I could speak with the wedding cake lady, but she came back on and said, "She asked if you could call back next week because it's the week of Easter, and she is very busy." Okay, sure, understandable. When I called exactly a week after, the same thing happened. The lady was busy and would need for me to call back later. I guess the lady on the phone sensed my hesitation when she asked if I could call back again; I told her that I was told the same thing last week and that I would like to place an order since all the details had already been worked out. The baker woman finally got on the phone and sounded so annoyed. I told her that I'd like to go ahead and place the order. She kept asking me what I was saying, what my name was, where I'm having the wedding--basically everything she had already written down on her sheet of paper. She finally found my information, and when I told her that I'd like to go ahead with the order, she told me that I'd have to schedule ANOTHER appointment to confirm the order. I asked her if I could just place the order and come pay the balance in full, but she was resolute in me coming back; I agreed and asked her when I could make an appointment. She said I'd have to come back in JUNE. (I called the Wednesday after Easter--still April!) I asked her if I could just drop in since she already had my order and I pass by the bakery all the time, but she said I'd have to wait until JUNE since she was booked. Needless to say, my fiance and I have found another bakery that is just as affordable and a whole lot nicer! I'm not one who is easily turned off by bad customer service, especially since people can have bad days, but this was just unacceptable. No matter how great the cake could have turned out, the customer service was quite atrocious, and I am not willing to drop hundreds of dollars if this is the kind of service we can expect even BEFORE the actual day of the wedding... I'd be afraid of what could happen on the actual week or day of the wedding! No thanks!

I had a cake tasting here this weekend, and I must admit i am very picky when it comes to desserts. I had a hard time finding exactly what I like, however, the staff at the bakery were absolutely amazing! not only they had great customer service, they were VERY patient with me and made variations of different filling to accommodate my taste. It is a small family owned bakery, with amazing people working there and loving what they do! and it shows! Not only we found a great tasting combo for the cake, but we also took home some of their cannolis! Which by far were the best I had!
