I went to C'est Si Bon for the first time last week. I really enjoyed the collard green egg rolls that so many people suggested. What makes the egg rolls is the mustard sauce. I am not usually a fan of any type of mustard sauce, but this one made every flavor of the egg roll come out! The service was superb and the food was fast. I will definitely be back for some more of those delicious egg rolls. I want to try something new too!

I loved C'est Si Bon when they were in Hyde Park because they have the best comfort brunch food. However, I love them even more in their new space on 47th street. They have so much more space and the layout is very nice. I didn't have any trouble with the service, the waiter actually checked on us quite a few times to refill waters. They have the best chicken and waffles in the area too. Thanks for the makeover C'est Si Bon!

This place has some good food. They are more known for their catering than the cafe. I have had some great brunch food here. The Sunday brunch is great. It is not open for dinner. It also helps to check the time. The staff who run the place are very friendly. Someone wrote about "feeling alienated (very white)" at this place. I do not agree to that. This place has people from all colors of the rainbow. Just like the sign in the restaurant says "Sit long, eat much". A nice place to have a lazy and relaxing brunch.

My Mom has been using C'est Si Bon for catering since its opening......... Oddly I disagree with my Mom on the quality so I am only reviewing based on my experiences....... Personally I would NOT recommend this place for lunch or brunch- catering services are the highlight of the buisness. C'est Si Bon 's cuisine is not french, most of the food items are a modern conception of soul food. They are known for a few key items such as their sweet potato cheese cake- YUMMY, but I wouldnt visit the establishment looking for a varied menu. There are better caterers in the city, with much more healthy/varied menus. I would recommend asking for a tasting before booking them for your next event.

So C'est Si Bon confuses me. I had brunch there one time on a sunday and the food was good, endless supply of crispy bacon and a nice waitstaff. Then I went back during the week for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant and it still took over 35 minutes to get our food. The waitress disappeared after bringing our drinks so I had to walk through the place to try and find somone. The pitcher our water was served in was dirty and so was the napkin on the table. Finally we got our meal and my waffle and cajun chicken tenders were seriously amazing. But the experience as a whole was very unpleasant so I do not suggest going there during the week. Only on weekends.

Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine that someone could serve such terrible food so poorly. Not only is the service horrendous [have you ever had to slice your own meat at a brunch buffet] but the food itself is atrocious plain and simple. I had such high hopes for this place after hearing such wonderful reviews, but after eating there myself I have to wonder if this is the same place that was referred to as a hidden gem in Hyde Park. Not only is the food not French, it is of such poor quality that to call it a greasy spoon would be an affront to greasy spoons everywhere. This notwithstanding the actual "greasiness" of the restaurant. You shouldn't leave a restaurant feeling dirty but it is hard not to when your salt shaker was so caked with crud that it couldn't dispense salt. I know Hyde Park is hard up for dining options but this is one place the city can do without.

I'm going to give this place 4 stars. I feel like it should be a 3.5 but I can't do .5's so I'm going to round up. First, I love that I didn't have to shlep out of my neighborhood to get a bite to eat at breakfast! Love that. My french toast was good. My bacon was a bit on the crispy, flimsy side. The service was very good the day I went. Plenty of coffee refills and checking in on the table. I would describe this place as the neighborhood diner. Liked it.

Be warned....they don't appreciate kids here. We went the other day with our 2 year old and they don't even have booster seats or high chairs. What kind of a place does not offer those? Not family friendly. We left without eating so I can't comment on the food.

The good is great, its a hidden treasure in Hyde Park; but the place its self need some work. Check hours before you leave the house.

I really enjoy the warm welcoming feel and delicious food. I wish there were more restaurants like C'est Si Bon. I recently dine there on Valentine day the food and service was outstanding and the atmosphere was extremely romantic. TM
