Five stars for the gluten-free deep dish. I've searched high and low folks. This is the best Chicago-style GF pizza that you will find. When I lived in the city I searched high and far. I did Lou's meat crust (which I think my arteries can handle my eating once every two years), Giordano's GF thin crust, and Edwardo's GF thin crust, and all of that were just satisfactory. Enough that you feel a part of what the rest of the group and not mowing on salad while everyone else digs into deep dish. But this, this Chicago's Pizza, is the real deal. The crust is thick, buttery, deep dish goodness that one can hardly believe is gluten free. Sauce has a lovely, roasted tomato and oregano flavor with plenty of cheesy deliciousness. In addition, you can actually get two sizes of GF deep dish which is extraordinarily rare in the sans wheat, barley, and rye community. Delivery, dine in and carry out all available.

Didn't get my food delivered. Poor delivery service. Never got my pizza and never got called by a delivery guy.

It was my first and last time going there. I found 3 hairs in the chicken panini. I found one in one half and two in the other half. The sandwich was sealed with toothpicks too. Absolutely disgusting.

Chicago's Pizza has easily and quickly become my favorite late night spot to stop by for some food. First of all pizza by the slice is my go to meal after a few drinks. Second this location is open until 1 am and located within walking distance from my place. I have already been here twice two weekends in a row. A slice of pepperoni or sausage is $3.24. Chicago's Pizza stays "open" until 5 am but that is for pickup and delivery. If you get there before 1 am you can get some pizza and sit inside if you so choose to do so. For an area that is not very high traffic it is nice to have an option like this. There were a few people here each time I came. I look forward to many satisfying pizza by the slice nights.

Great wings. Loved it. The Pizza is good as well. UT the wings I loved them with BBQ Sauce!

I really enjoy Chicago's for takeout! Their menu is massive and the food is really good. I really recommend their deep dish. Really good alternative to Gino's East or Lou Malnati's. Prices are not that bad. I have never eaten in for dinner but the tables are clean and ready to go. If you have someone that is a picky eater, go to Chicago's!

Had the single slice a few months ago and it was delicious. My fiancé and I were looking at different options for take out today and I remembered how good my first experience was there. When we got a large pizza today it was definitely not what I remembered it to be. It was way to thick for "thin crust" and just overall not good. The reason I'm giving it even three stars is because of my good first experience, place is clean, and the staff are nice. Not enough positives to make me want to order from there again.

This was the best delivery service I've had in recent memory. Ordered late which can always be a risky move but was extremely pleased I went with this store. First I asked for ranch dipping sauce (I believe it's 89 cents extra) but I asked for extra ranch in the comments as I didnt see an option on screen. They include 3 jumbo cups in the order, more than enough. This alone is what caused me to write this review as it is just impeccable customer service. It will be one of the main reasons I will look first at Chicago's Pizza when ordering food in the future. Besides that, the delivery was early and the delivery man was very kind. Food was still hot. Truly a great experience, thanks to the staff

The pizza here is consistent and consistently good -- my favorite is the gourmet Grilled Chicken Pizza (chicken, eggplant, red pepper, Gouda) which bears leftovers for the next couple of days. I also like a lot of their non-pizza choices, like the Mediterranean Chicken Salad. Also, the workers here are friendly, and they just rebuilt/expanded their front counter area to make it larger and more convenient. It's just a super decent neighborhood place that I'm always happy to visit. Predictably good food is a rare commodity. Side note, this place is always hoppin' with well behaved family groups. That might not be a good sign in haute cuisine, but it makes me feel good about both the variety and value at a neighborhood place!

Giving 4 stars for overall service, day after the blizzard and I didn't want to drive since my side streets are still full of snow. Ordered a supreme which came hot, with a ton of cheese on it and delivered on a day where the roads are still pretty crappy. I've bought from here before but I'll be doing it more often since the quality was good and very pleased with everything.

Great place to grab some pizza as you may have guessed. The main reason I frequent here is the extensive GF menu. They even offer, wait for it, GF deep dish! Prayers=answered. The deep dish is also probably the best option here as luck would have it. The regular square GF pizza is also good, not great, But usually satisfies my pizza craving. Haven't had the calzone or sandwiches yet, but soon enough. Tried a few different salads, They were unimaginative and very basic. I wouldn't recommend them. The goal here is pizza! If you are looking for a slice or a whole pie, I would urge you to check it out. You could do much worse, trust me.

A lot of whiners about this place, but I don't get it. I'm a picky eater and I've ordered delivery from this place multiple times and have never been disappointed. We've ordered pizza, ribs, soup, chicken tenders, random appetizers, cheeseburgers, so many different items and I've always thought they were great. Now don't get me wrong, it's not the best pizza I've ever had, it's not the best ribs I've ever had, but my expectations weren't mind blowing ribs. I just wanted damn good food and that's what you get with Chicago's pizza. It's open super late as well, so stop your complaining and enjoy some good food.

Sorry maybe its because we had Lou Malnatis as our first taste of Chicago deep dish, this did not compare at all and was a let down. Had the vegetarian stuffed pizza and i feel maybe the sauce was too strong.

  • Marzia A.

Stuffed Crust Pizza with goat cheese and hot giardinera; you will not be left disappointed. I can't believe I am saying this but I would pick this place over Lou's any day. The crust is not oily at all unlike Lou's. Don't get me wrong I love their deep dish too but it's something about Chicago's Pizza place that leaves me coming back for more!!

My food is always here early, always perfectly heated. Jumbo wings leave me stuffed but wishing I could fit more, cheese fries (high five)! One time they forgot my extra pop but they had it delivered quickly without attitude. My usual delivery guy is always all smiles and sweet. My favorite place to order from if I need perfection!

I always look forward to Wed when im ordering for lunch at work. They usually have the most amazing cream of spinach soup. That and an order of french fries to dip and im done! Seriously i crave this soup all week. The pasta and pizza are extremely good as well. After all its CHICAGOS~! besides for maybe 1 bad experience, the staff is always friendly.

The years I lived and worked in the East Lakeview area, I frequented Chicago's on Sheffield. Now that I live in the suburbs, I'm unable to order as often as I used to. I'm fortunate that there's a Chicago's on Irving Park. It's located next to the Snap Fitness where my boyfriend is a member. When I have overnight visits at his place and he decides to go the gym in the evening, he'll place an order before his workout and pick it up after he finishes. Nothing I've ever ordered has been a disappointment. We have different opinions about their pizzas. He prefers to avoid them; I like their thin crust. Their late hours, pizza by the slice and gourmet appetizers are some of my favorite things. My absolute favorite item on their menu is the Queso de Cabra. It's warm goat cheese with tomato sauce and never enough bread for dipping so we always ask for extra. Well, it's1:20am. He just got home so it's time to snack on the gourmet appetizer before I fall asleep.

The pizza is good but the staff is terrible. I ordered a pizza on Superbowl Sunday. 3 hours later I get a call from a driver telling me he is going home and not coming. I call the restaraunt and the manager tells me he has no drivers and that no one is coming. I ask him for a refund and he says he thinks he can get one processed. Thanks buddy for ruining a super bowl and trying to get a credit on a pizza I didnt recieve.

If you're a fan of thicker than average thin crust pizza, you'll love this place. Tonight I placed my first order to check it out. The piping hot pizza delivered was pretty heavy, I checked to make sure it was thin crust and not pan. The sausage was good quality, mild and the other toppings were very flavorful. Given the thickness of the crust, I thought that it could have used a bit more tomato sauce. If this was the thin crust pizza, I have to wonder how thick the pan and stuffed pizza are? I'm sure that I'll order from here again, when the mood strikes me for thicker crust.

By far the worst pizza and ribs I've ever had in Chicago. Pizza was without any flavor and the ribs was all fat. Ended up giving to my dogs. They liked the fatty ribs but wouldn't eat the pizza. I will never order from Chicago pizza again big mistake and expensive

  • Colleen T.

Salads are great! Sandwiches are great! Soup is amazing! Deep Dish Pizza - AMAZING! Chicago's is a great neighborhood spot and slowly becoming a favorite of ours. The pizza is very good - but recommend getting the deep dish over the thin crust! We mainly carry out, but have dined in before, the BYOB is a nice touch!

I've had some good deep dish in the restaurant. However, my most recent delivery order (this past Sunday evening) was less than satisfying. The delivery time was well past 30 minutes of what it was projected to be. On top of that, the delivery man wasn't aware I had requested my pizza to be delivered at the side door, didn't know where the side of the house was (?), and gave me attitude about actually bringing it there. Whatever, I just wanted my pizza at that point. Opened the box, it looked like the chef forgot to add sauce to an entire whole half AND the pie just looked like it had been sitting and waiting for way too long, soggy and breaking off entirely. Don't get me wrong.. it tasted good but it was a soggy mess and definitely not worth my money. All in all, if you're gonna charge near $30 to deliver a medium pizza and call it deep dish, then make sure your product (and service) is at the very least consistent. Won't be ordering delivery here again.

Their gluten free pizza isn't very good. I won't eat here again (which doesn't mean you shouldn't), their staff is lovely.

I really like this place, and I'm surprised that it doesn't have better reviews. While I've never been inside this restaurant, my husband and I have ordered delivery from here quite a few times. We've never been disappointed. Their pizza's good. I've had the Chicago Supreme Pizza, which has pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms and onions. Tasty! I've also had the Chicken Caesar Wrap, which has grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and Caesar dressing. My husband has ordered a cheeseburger from Chicago's Pizza, and he says it's really good. I've also had the cheese fries here. Delish! The ordering process online is easy, and our delivery always arrives early. The pizza is tasty, but don't be afraid to venture outside of pizza and try some of their sandwiches and burgers. Recommend!

SO... The saving grace for this place lies in there gourmet pizza (and 5am delivery) as I probably have thee pickiest Mother and Husband ever to be so blessed with.... I have found thee one for us (garlic lovers) when I place my now weekly order. It makes everyone happy including my 1yr old, but she's just as fond of floor-cereal so she's a bit less discerning.. I like their pizza in general and had them cater our baby's 1st BDAY. I esp like the Hawaiian delight, I would order the gourmet of this every single day if my life allowed, Its seriously some of the best pizza I've had ever..... I'm talking ever, including travel pizza... They have a huge variety of things to order, and really have great delivery people, they are always quick and friendly. I also love their soup as my daughter sometimes only eats soup, they have a ckn noodle soup that puts mamma's to shame! SO glad they are in the neighborhood.

Great pan pizza. The specialty pastas are also pretty tasty. The stuffed pizza also pretty good.

  • J. T.

Ordered a deep dish with sausage, onions, green pepper and mushrooms. I had no more than one chunk of sausage per slice! Plus the whole thing tasted so bland except for the sauce. The crust was breaking apart as well. For the same money, enjoy a deep dish at Lou's or Pequods instead. This was very disappointing.

Delivery review: Our go-to spot for most things because there aren't really any tasty spots that deliver to our home. The ribs, wings, chicken strips, queso de cabra, tuscan panini, border turkey wrap, philly steak sandwich, and the burgers are pretty good. I do agree that the prices are high especially when you add a side. Easy 3 stars. I'm giving 4 stars because our food arrived on time but they didn't package the condiments right and the side of buffalo sauce spilled all over my children's fries and all in the bag. We called immediately and when transferred to the manager she apologized and asked what we wanted to do (we assumed-money back or replace damaged food) Another apology and 30 minutes later, delivery of our clean fries and properly packaged sauce was at our door(gratis). Delivery driver also apologized. I can appreciate the apologies and the issue being addressed. 4 stars.

My usual order: goat cheese topped, thin crust cheese pizza. I love it and they know I do, too. Bonus points: they add a lot of cheese to their pizzas. Quick delivery and a free 2 litter pop for a $20 purchase or more. I recommend ordering anytime before 11pm because they seem to care less about the quality of their pizzas but they're still pretty darn good! Also, kudos on the fried jalapeno coins.

  • Kathie L.

I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. It was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Like they dumped way too much Tabasco on it! :( I've ordered other food from here before and was not disappointed. Unfortunately, today I am.

I think this pizza is probably one of the best in the area. The cheese can sometimes be a little rubbery but otherwise I recommend it. I always get the thin crust. My friend tried the stuffed and said it was one of the best she's ever had. A little pricey but they offer good coupons on their site.

I think a review of CP should be short & sweet. I feel bad for living in the area for a while and taking so long to test it out. My favorite thing here is quality pizza by the slice. Some nights I have late hours going home so picking up some pizza. Chicago's Pizza does a great job keeping fresh pizza by the slice available compared to other places that seem to keep pizza spinning around until it celebrates a birthday. Stuffed - solid! Go pepperoni Thin/hand tossed - also solid! any normal toppings will do.

Pizza is so good! One slice is enough to fill me up. Good amount of tomato sauce and cheese. Crust is delicious. Recommend this pizza to anyone. A two topping deep dish pizza for 25 bucks.

My wife is gluten free, but not by choice. She gets sick if she eats wheat products, so it's nice when restaurants offer gluten free items. Chicago's has a gluten free menu, so I assumed they were educated on food preparation and knew how serious a gluten intolerance can be. And we've ordered from them several times without incident, so we were comfortable ordering again. The presentation was nice - the box her item came in had a big gluten free stamp on it. I grabbed mine without the stamp, and we both began to eat. After a couple bites, she realized that the toppings were reversed. She was disappointed because she didn't like the toppings that were supposed to be in mine. It didn't really register until she mentioned the topping snafu, but after my first bite I thought "this tastes just like the gluten free one she ordered last time." That's because it was. The gluten free item was not in the gluten free box. For a lot of people this won't mean much because you don't get sick, but her worst symptom is severe migraines caused by gluten. This is not a "bad headache" - it's a debilitating migraine that costs her a day of her life. She's lucky because others have much more sever reactions. In short, we have no choice but to avoid this restaurant. I was never moved enough to review this place before now, so take that for what it's worth. It's one of many average Chicago pizza places you can go to, but this one doesn't care about the health of its patrons. Find another place to eat.

Their avocado chicken salad is delicious, they are a bit pricy. Pizza is not bad at all, they also sell it by the slice. Their chicken caesar salad is great, they also have a vinaigrette house dressing that is just perfect. I usually order take out and I have never had a problem, their also give you free buffalo wings with any order over $20 which is not bad. The wings are a little spicy but the blue cheese helps.

We ordered a thin crust with half goat cheese half without. The goat cheese was pretty edible and kinda yummy (only because goat cheese is delicious). The other half was VERY underwhelming and lacked flavor, and the crust was gross. Would not return.

Finally a solid pizza place with many gluten free options. Their gluten free crust is great and their homemade gluten free focaccia is terrific. They are knowledgeable about the gluten free lifestyle and very accommodating. Happy to find a place where the non-meat and non-wheat eaters in my family can order as easily as the meat and wheat eaters.

We gave Chicago's Pizza a third try, once again ordering a gluten-free pizza and a regular pizza on the side. The regular pizza was the Grecian Delight and it was pretty good. Nice pesto, and they didn't skimp on the goat cheese. The gluten-free pizza was the Chicago Special Stuffed Pizza and it was ok. The crust was soggy on the bottom, but well-formed along the top exposed edges. The crust tasted pretty heavily of garbanzo/soy, but that's not uncommon. The ingredients inside were fresh tasting. So on try three, Chicagos Pizza got it right, more or less.

WOW! We ordered off GrubHub. We had never heard of this place. AMAZING thin crust pizza, and when you add goat cheese, you get mozzarella as well. Pretty much an explosion of food in your mouth. My boyfriend got the Fettuccine ala Judia, and once I taste it, we almost had to duke it out for the rest! Great, very generous potion chicken wings. Delivered faster than expected, hot and better than most. I will be ordering from here again, and may have to limit my splurges!!

Since going gluten free over a decade ago, the one thing I have really missed is pizza. Sure, lots of places now offer gluten free pizza options, but they are all super thin crusts. As a Chicago girl, that doesn't really satisfy my pizza craving. Luckily, this place does gluten free deep dish or stuffed - they even have gluten free calzones! I got their gluten free stuffed spinach pizza, and it was delicious! My husband got their regular deep dish and really enjoyed it as well. I also like that they are BYOB and all the tea options they have. We ate there since we were in town for a convention, and it was cute and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful too - they let me know what dishes had gluten and which didn't. I only wish they had better parking, and a suburb location. We'll be back again though! So happy I found a place to satisfy my stuffed pizza cravings.

Pretty awesome pizza place that is just around the corner from my apartment. The place is a small cozy restaurant with 1 TV that I have never seen on times that I have been there. If you are eating in you get some free bread which is always a plus and it seemed like every 3 minutes the waitress would come and refill my water. Also the place is BYOB so you can bring your drink of choice and not get charged an arm and a leg. The food selection is giant!! And the topics to choose for a pizza is like 2 or 3 times as many choices than your average pizza joint. Overall this is my new go to place for pizza... just hope I can take some time to check out other items on there giant menu

This review may be updated. Right now it's an average. Our first delivery experience was a solid 5 stars. Prompt, hot, and really, REALLY tasty. We haven't had pizza, but the selection of appetizers, sandwiches, soups and salads we have sampled were delicious. Their menu is huge, and while it's a little bit more than I'm usually willing to spend, it's not a disastrous splurge. Last time was a complete disaster. One star. Seriously. Our food took an hour and 40 minutes to get here, which was 50 minutes longer than the original estimate. Completely, absolutely unacceptable. They're literally 10 blocks from here, and I remind you we did not order pizza. What the freak happened?? There was no apology made by the person we talked to at the restaurant to find out where our food had disappeared to, and no apology by the delivery guy. Or even acknowledgement that it had been nearly TWO HOURS since the order was placed. I was so hungry I was just opening our cabinets and eating whatever I saw. Handfuls of dry cereal. (What? We ordered in BECAUSE there was no other food in the house. Don't judge.) My veggie sandwich was soggy - like, waterlogged soggy. Which is a terrible thing to do to a sandwich with grilled eggplant, roasted red pepper, fresh mozz and pesto -- the bread should be crisp and chewy. The whole thing was a mess. And they forgot Boyfriend's salad, although they did include the dressing. They had to send someone back out with it. They get one more chance, because the menu is expansive and the food, when it actually gets to you, if it gets there in one piece, is exceptionally good. But I'm still kind of amazed that no one even apologized or offered a coupon or a dessert or freaking anything. Seriously. Come on, guys.

This location is just as good as the Montrose location. The stuffed spinach pizza is my favorite stuffed spinach pizza we've ever had. The thin crust is also so good it often makes its way into our order as well. We'd order from here a lot more often if only they had a location closer to Logan Square or delivered to us.

I love the Tuscan chicken panini. It's really good, but it's nearing $7 without a side, and with a side of small chips the total is almost $9. $2 for a $.35 bag of chips? I don't like that. The buffalo wrap is very good and spicy, but too messy and not big enough for the price. Take some of that lettuce out and put in some more tenders. The buffalo sandwich on cibatta bread is decent. Fajita chicken sandwich is not so nice. Delivery minimum needs to be lowered.

We were pretty excited when this opened just a few blocks from our house. We were quickly disappointed, however, by the clunky pizza and pasta sauces that must spend days in the cooler. We try it now and again, hoping it has improved. It has not.

Their Tuscan Chicken Panini is one of the most mouthwateringly delicious sandwiches I have ever eaten. That sandwich alone has made me into a loyal customer. 'Nuff said.

I was very pleased with our dinner this past Friday night with a group of 8. My daughter is on a gluten-free diet and the menu has so many options to choose from. Not to mention that the gf pizza is really yummy - the best we've tried so far! They also brought regular and gf bread to munch on while we were all waiting for the pizzas. Both pizzas we ordered were great and so affordable! We will be back for sure.

We got a "The Gilroy Pizza" and mozzarella sticks We liked the pizza but didn't really like the mozzarella sticks. The other locations are open for delivery until 5 AM, so that's cool. If you are looking to eat in, it is BYOB, but the dining room is rather small.

I love this place. Great go-to for my gluten free pizza needs. I usually order from this location for lunch, as they deliver to my work place. Love it! I will go out of my way to go to Chicago's if I'm craving pizza. As I like to reiterate, it's always awesome to be able to eat like a normal person. My friends get their regular pizza, and I get my gluten free one! The small is enough if I'm absolutely starving, I'll finish the whole thing and be satisfyingly stuffed. Or, eat almost the whole thing and still have a few good pieces to eat the next day for breakfast or lunch. Yes, glutards CAN still eat pizza for breakfast!

We had a taste for pizza and stopped here. The place is very clean and washrooms are very clean as well. To the food- pepperoni pizza was pretty good and one of our friends grabbed a chicken focaccia sandwich which he was pretty happy with it also. We are surely to visit here again soon!

Consistent reliable place (well, for delivery that is). I have never eaten at the actual restaurant, but I like the wraps. Border turkey wrap (sans sauce). The corn/cilantro relish is adequate enough for me. Fantastic char-broiled burgers. Decent fries. Call me crazy, but not a real fan of their pizza (I know I know). Maybe its because of their super-extensive menu. Fast delivery (online ordering states 45 minutes-1 hour) but, I have never had to wait 45 mins, it usually comes in 25-35.

Here's a place that can hit the spot if you need to order out late or just in the (immediate) area - Chicago Pizza & Pasta. Decent pizza and pasta that could satisfy a crowd after a late night. Other offerings like the Niki's salad are pretty good (fresh gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, mushrooms, grape tomatoes, on fresh germs serves with a creamy pesto dressing) I will try their other salads and wings next time. Nice to have options in the late hours though and although most people order take-out or delivery, they have a nice little dine-in area too.

I don't follow any rules about ceasing food consumption past 7 pm. Certainly no rules are followed about carbs either. So when my cousin asked me if I wanted late night pasta, my answer was ABSOLUTLEY From what I've been told about this small chain, they are known for their pizza, hence their name, but no justice has been given to their vast array on their menu. In fact, dinner mate said that her favorite item on the menu was their California sandwich wrap. Hmmm. No healthy items ordered this evening! We started off with their house bread, served warm, nice consistency. She's tried a majority of the appetizers off their menu, so we opted for something new and different: the goat cheese dip, accompanied with the fairly big sized crostini to slather the goodness onto. For our meal, I had the tortilini with shrimp and cream sauce, chock full of veggies, and too many red peppers for my liking! Red peppers pushed off to the side, the dish was still delicious. We split the carrot cake for dessert. Dense and moist, this piece was smothered in delicious, soft cream cheese frosting. Nothing worse than having type of frosting be hard as nails. Perfect amount of sweetness. The place has a nice chill vibe. I wouldn't label it as down home Italian feel, but it's just a laid back place for a quick late night bite with two people dining or a large group. They deliver late as well. Staff were very nice and service was swift

So, I am moving into my new place in Irving Park and my mom and I are starving. My new neighbor gives me a menu for Chicago Pizza we order expecting regular ole pizza....um OUR mistake. As someone who is from the South I am not involved in the Chicago vs NY style pizza. All I can say is that this pizza was good. The veggies were fresh. The thin crust was crispy and my appetite was satisfied. I love my new neighborhood!! Now let me go and find that pizza menu :-)

Their claim that they deliver until 5 am is hogwash. We called at 1 am and the phone just rang off the hook. Called back fifteen minutes later and let it ring dozens of times. No answer. FALSE ADVERTISING! Plus, their food is overpriced and mediocre.

Have only been to this location, but have been many times. Pizza is pretty good. Not great but good enough for most occasions. The pizza is the reason for three stars and not two. if not for the pizza this is a definite two star place. The rest of the food is not all that great. Sandwiches are sometimes dry(chicken). Pasta is so-so. Service is not that good. Mostly have ordered pizza and it is ok.

I've ordered delivery from here several times before, but tonight the delivery guy couldn't find my house and it took about 1.5 hours to get the food. He called me and told me he was at Narragansett and Addison and couldn't find my house. I explained that is not near me and that I'm at Addison near Pulaski. I explained where I was located, but he seemed to not really believe me and said oh well, he'll figure it out himself and call me back when he gets to me. When he arrived he apologized and stated he inputted the incorrect address or something, but the food was barely luke warm by then. That's fine and all, and these things happen, but I think the drivers should carry some type of coupon on them for a free food item or discount to offer it up to customers to use on future orders when these type of scenarios occur. A delivery joint in Chicago can't find a customer's house? That's a new one for me.

Terrible. Awful. Unacceptable. These are all words to describe Chicago's Pizza and Pasta. I wrote a haiku for the occasion. It goes: Why always empty? Despite late night food options, Because this place sucks. or Once was promising. Failed to deliver the goods. Unacceptable.

When i don't feel like cooking, this is our go to place! We actually don't even order the pizza much, but have in the past and it is very good! We try to eat a little healthier and my husband gets the peanut Thai wrap, I like to change it up and try different sandwiches. My last sandwich was the Mediterranean panini....very good! Although I know they don't make the chips, the salt and pepper chips rock! We have dined in before and it was 4 adults and 6 kids! The place is small but the kids did really well there and the food came fast!

Ok, this a review for Chicago's Pizza on Irving, however, I did not TRY their pizza. I went in for something else, and they happened to have it, and offered online ordering and was directly on the way to my final destination. Now, the problem does not lie in the food. Admittedly, the food was great. (And, as a result of my pending rant, the food was warm and very fresh) The service, however, sucked - bad. I ordered a salad and a sandwich, for pick up at 7:30pm. I happened to arrive about 10-15 minutes early (I wasn't expecting to get my food when I walked into the door) and immediately I paid. However, my food did not come out until AFTER 7:30pm. Alright, I understand if it was busy - and they had a lot of orders and were going in the order of which they were received, but no - the place was dead. There was no one eating inside, the phone rang once - and the entire staff was sitting up front just watching TV or chatting. Now, I wonder if I would have walked in off the streets if I would have gotten my food quicker - instead of ordering online. Seriously, how long does it take to throw a salad together and make a sandwich?

I'm not sure if people are being uber sensitive in some cases, or don't have taste at all, but I have been ordering from them since they opened a few years ago and things are usually great. *Only major problem I have with this location is that the "Open til 5am everyday" isn't always the case. I have tried to get delivery at 12:30a during the week and no answer - luckily another location delivered because they were closed early. Other than that, food is always good, no problems with billing, delivery in under an hour as promised. Many times they now throw in some flatbread slices and marinara for free. The meals are great. I usually get the Rigatoni Gorgonzola. Bleu cheese, thick cream sauce, spinach, and chicken basically. The pasta is always cooked properly, the bleu cheese isn't over powering in this dish. Chicken is usually tender, as they are chunks or small pieces of chicken breast layed on top. A soup/salad and bread is included. The bread is always fresh - I have never gotten a stale "mini loaf". I usually opt for a cream based soup of the day, although sometimes they taste a bit salty and may be a bit lumpy - about 80% of the time it is very good though, and hearty. Last Christmas time they gave me a Chicago's Pizza glass filled with candies with my delivery - which was a nice touch - and maybe another treat, I don't remember. I just ordered tonight and they gave me a couple of nice sized short bread cookies in single pizza containers with Happy Holidays on them. I like nice little things like this - shows they care about customers. They always have coupons for free soda and I just ordered from them through GrubHub and their ETA was 12:25am, and I just checked my phone as to when he called up, and it was 12:25a - so pretty darn good if you ask me. They also honored the free pop coupon via GrubHub.com . I have eaten there before and had many of their dishes. Their pasta dishes are decently priced considering $8 can get you a pasta dish of decent portion, a soup, and bread - a $10 order will get you a free 1 liter too, so not too bad. Their chocolate mousse cake is very good as well, though it could be a bit thicker. I don't remember what cheesecake brand they use, but they have very good cheescake too, although expensive at almost $6 a slice - but very filling and not an Eli's sized slice. Their regular pizzas are good and I love their deep dish. Although, not as good as some others out there, still very tasty. **I order a couple funky ingredients in my DD and they do it - I recommend: Ask for a deep dish and IN the pizza the ground beef topping and bleu cheese crumbles. It tastes like a bleu cheese burger - STRONG, but delish!** I hope this helped some people!! Go CHICAGO!! (pizza) Nick

I was very disappointed in the pizza here. The ratio of cheese and sauce was WAY off. I prefer a good amount of sauce on my pizza. It was like eating cheesy dough. Will definitely not be ordering pizza from here again.

I only get delivery. I can tell you the Veggie and the Mexican pizzas we ordered today were EXCELLENT!!! 5 stars! However, the Pesto Lover's Pizza I ordered last time was incredibly disgusting! MINUS 1 star! Only one because we also ordered the stuffed sausage which was very good. Pizza arrived within Grubhub promised time - 45 min. Yeah!

We live in the area and Chicago's is definitely the most convenient pizza place around. For the first year the food and service was fantastic, whether it was the Chicago-style deep dish or the thin-crust. However, for the last year and a half it's been hit or miss. Either it's spot on or the pizza arrives burnt or soupy. Their mozzarella sticks are a definite pass, they have almost a metallic taste to them. Once we ordered delivery and waited an hour and a half for our pizza, at which time we called them to ask where it was. It was at this point we were told they had no record of our order, despite our placing the order thru their online ordering system, for which we had a receipt and email confirmation. Now, at this point you might think the establishment would want to offer the pizza for free as an apology, however, you'd be wrong. We were billed full price and had to wait another 40 minutes for it to arrive. It's the inconsistency of the food and service that lower their overall rating to 3 stars. Perhaps there's just been a fair amount of staff turnover, but I'm hoping it improves. We have been ordering from Giordano's out of frustration lately and have no complaints.

My husband and i always order from the lakeview location which i love but this time we ordered from the irving park location because they delivered to our house, the only problem was the delivery guy was a total jerk to my husband, being nice compared to a jerk makes a difference!!!

The other time I had pizza here was deep dish and I could literally feel my arteries clogging as I ate it so I was reluctant to try this. But someone ordered it in so I ate it. It was delicious! We got the 4 cheese pizza; mozzarella, fontina, smoked gouda, and Romano cheese, fresh sliced tomatoes, basil and olive oil. The crust was good too, not too salty and not too heavy in your stomach when you're done. I don't know if it was the fact that it was free, that I was hungry, or that it really was just that great...but I'll go with the fact that the pizza really was that good. I don't know if I would make a special visit for this pizza next time I'm here, but if I'm in the neighborhood I'll definitely be stopping by.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza from here at like 2 in the morning the other day and was not disappointed. The thin crust was a little thicker than most places and was rather enjoyable. Delivery was quick and the pizza was still hot. I'd order from them again if the urge for a pizza strikes in the middle of the night. Otherwise I usually order from Pete's.

I got the chicken parm sandwich which was meh. The chicken was tough and hard to bite through. I did enjoy the salad, however. It was very fresh. My friend got the pizza which he said was tastey. Not pricey at all for a sit-down joint. Our servicer was really really nice which always imrpoves my day.

So if I had reviewed this a few weeks ago I probably would have given it 4 stars. I though the pizzas were good - just heavy on the cheese. However when I asked for light cheese I realized the pizzas are not good. The mountain of cheese covers up that fact. It's such a shame because I live a 5 minute walk from here and it was to be our new Friday night pizza night go-to place. I'll have to keep looking....

This particular place is okay. Haven't ordered take out or delivery, but have eaten inside. Good for what it was...(I have eaten a lot of different things off this menu through out the years, so I have my favorites) BUT, lately all the stores have gotten "extra charge" happy. Last time I was here, we were with a bunch of people after a basketball game. 8 kids, 9 adults. They did well to accomidate us in this small restaurant. I ordered the avocado cheeeburger. The waiter never asked me how I wanted it done. It arrives at my table half raw and the receipt says that I asked for it medium. Ummm.. no! I asked for Mustard on the side because I dip my fries in Mustard not Ketchup, and I wanted mayo on my burger. So I ask for that too. My husband orders his usual mexican wrap and the waiter told him it comes with fries or chips. He asks for fries. A friend of mine orders a salad and asks for Ranch dressing instead of house dressing. So we get the bill. They CHARGED US 50 cents EACH for mustard, mayo, and different dressing. THEN charged us for fries times 2. (another friend of ours got a different wrap and asked for fries too) When he said it came with the wrap. The kids pizza was lacking some serious cheese. I was UPSET that something as simple as some mustard and mayo cost me $1 more. They gave out ketchup in bottles to everyone, but not mustard. How do you get to charge for a little cup of a different salad dressing than what it "comes' with. Or for mayo or mustard to complete a burger??? Cheap skates. Their menu has gotten pricier over the year through out the chain. Not to thrilled with this place anymore.

I'm back and forth on this place. I've had good pizzas from here before and ones that aren't so good so I have to ding them on product consistency. Also don't get slices of pizza from here. They just don't have enough foot traffic at this location and the pizza always taste like its been sitting there for a long time. I've given them multiple opportunities on the slice thing and its always the same old story.

My wife and I just moved to the area, and were so excited to see that Chicago's Pizza was just a couple blocks away. We frequent their location on Montrose, and love their thin-crust "Chicago Vegetarian" with no mushrooms. We've been to the Irving location 3 times now, and though the food is the same, the service is TERRIBLE! Most of the staff stands around chatting, and basically ignores us. We went on a Saturday around 5:00pm, and we were the only eat-in customers. That didn't make any difference. The busboy gave us more service than our waitress. She disappeared for the entirety of our meal! From now on, we're driving to the Montrose location.

Standard garbage pizza like every other location in Chicago. Not many other places to order pizza from at 12:00AM so I'm giving it 2 stars. Don't bother ordering anything besides the pizza here. Salads have weird looking slimy brown lettuce. Pasta dishes are processed and have a bad after taste.

Chicago's is ok. I've only ever done take-out or delivery. The thick crust is what I usually order, but it is a rarity since it's so much food-I really have to be in the mood for it. The thin crust is good, but the price (for me) is too expensive for what you get. The delivery service is usually pretty good, but rarely takes less than 1 hr. The people are usually not too bad, but can be curt.

Last summer while walking the 17th mile of an 18 mile training walk for Susan Komen's 3-day, I was out of water and really overheated on a verrrry hot day. Not only did these people give me the largest glass of ice water, they also packed my water bag with enough ice to keep me cool for the last mile home and told me to take as much time as I needed to cool down to finish the training. I must say after 17 miles in the heat, I wasn't the most pleasant smelling thing to be around, but they cared about my health. I also LOVE their food (especially the ribs and the stuffed pizza and the caesar salad) and love their kind staff. I will be ordering from them for a long time!!! Yummmmy yummy food; what a find!!

GROSS!!! First off they use frozen chicken which makes the texture feel like it was over cooked and sitting around for hours. I need to mention this is delivery. They gave us the wrong chicken entree so we called and she said no problem we can delivery the correct entree which is redeeming.... So we thought! We starting on the food that was delivered while we waited for the correct one. Instantly we both realized how nasty the food was, the sauce on the panini was like a paste and tasted like a unknown substance. We decided to call back and try to get a refund but the order person who claims to be the manager said ? its not my problem?. Well then you are in the wrong business people!! I have been in this industry for a while now and u would never deny a customer a refund if they are disappointed or not satisfied will a purchase. I have not had Chicagos in a long time back when I didn't care what I ate, well I should have gone with the gut! NEVER AGAIN!!

I haven't been to this location to eat in but this is the only location that delivers to me in Albany Park. I love that you can order and pay online, big bonus! We always get the Chicago special thin crust. Same awesome pizza as the Montrose location. Glad I can still get my Chicago pizza fix and have it delivered to me.

Gross...Ok so Chicago is known for our pizza. i am a born and raised Chicago girl and love pizza. My husband and I got a pizza delivered the other day from them and the only good thing I can say is that they deliver late. Other then that it all goes down from there. I ordered a thin crust pizza and this it was not. The pizza was flavorless and the cheese was coagulated. I will never order from this place. i have heard that other locations are good but this one.. not so much! Not to mention that a medium pizza cast $23. What are they thinking. I have had much better pizzas that size for half the price!

good pizza- sauce has good flavor, however, sometimes they do not cook the pizzas very well done at all and I must continue cooking at home! Ask for well done. The last 3 times I got the Aegean salad the lettuce itself tastes like dirt, literally. Really kinda gross... The quality seems to be getting worse as time goes on. The first time I ordered almost 2 years ago, the pizza was awesome, so was the salad-not sure what is going on. carrot cake was nothing special. and they forgot my ranch with jalepeno poppers-kinda crucial...

I am usually pretty impressed with the pizza here, but am less enthusiastic about the service. It always seems that they're deliveries take longer than expected, and the worst incident was ordering a veggie pizza and getting pork poisoned. I understand that accidents happen, but when I called and told them there was sausage on my pizza, they tried to put the blame on me, saying I ordered wrong. After bitching back and forth with each other, they finally sent someone over with the right pizza. Anyhow, I have had Chicago's since, when a roommate ordered in, and I have forgiven them for their wrong doings. It's also pretty hard to resist pizza laying around the house when your hungry, but yeah, the pizza is decent.

Chicago's has a very large menu, and does many things well. I am not in love with their pizza, finding it a little . . . dry . . . or something. I'm not sure what I don't love about it, but I don't. However, lots of people do, even some in my family, so I take my own issue with a grain of salt (after all, I like Carreno's). Burgers and pasta are both pretty uniformly good. Chicago's web page lets you order on-line, which can be very nice. Delivery to my house (on the far side of Six Corners) is not very fast, but we seem to be at the edge of reasonable pizza delivery for them. All in all, a solid place with a great selection.

I don't even want to give one star. Tonight was my first time ordering from this place. I ordered a pizza and mozzarella sticks. My food shows up, first of all the delivery guy rang my doorbell FIVE times! FIVE! I was sitting ten feet from the door. First ring, I got up but he continued to press the bell. My sleeping child was not happy. First, I try my mozzarella sticks, they were cold, but whatever....they had to travel. Then I try my pizza. It wasn't bad. As I'm eating, I go to dip my pizza in my condiment of choice, and notice a SMALL BLACK HAIR BAKED INTO THE CRUST!!! I lost my appetite. I call to tell them I'm not happy. The manager offers to send the delivery guy back with my money, in exchange for the pizza. Perfect. Doesn't change the fact that I'm sick to my stomach and starving, but at least she did SOMETHING. Mr. Delivery man shows back up and rings my doorbell another five times. (What is wrong with this man?). He doubts my claim and sits on my front porch investigating the pizza. The piece with the hair was in a ziplock bag, so the manager could see. At which point he tells me the pizza was eaten. Yes, two full pieces were gone until I was on the third piece and noticed the creepy hair! Too much to deal with in one night. NEVER AGAIN.

I really wasn't all that impressed with their pizza. It hardly tasted like a Chicago style pizza and more like imitation "Chicago pizza" you would find in a cafeteria or food court in some other city or suburban shopping mall. It didn't taste bad, I think I just expected it to be better. Especially for a northwest side pizza joint. The delivery service was fine, no complaints there. But I think I'll order from a different place next time. There has gotta be better pizza out there.

I had their pizza a few times and I got to say it's not one of my favorites but whenever we go in the service is nice, maybe a bit slow at times but you still leave pretty satisfied. I usually have a vegetarian pizza on thin crust it good.

I ordered the bbq chicken wrap and it dripped watery bbq sauce the whole time I tried to eat it. The mushy tomatoes were probably the cause. The salad I ordered consisted of spinach, walnuts and what should have been mozzerella, but I'm not sure what the square slices of cheese with rind on it was. My fiance ordered a small pizza and said it wasn't anything special. The menu is so big that I can't imagine their ingerdients are very fresh.

We used to patronize the Montrose location frequently, and now that we've moved out to the Portage Park area, we were VERY happy to see that this location opened. I'm not a fan of their thin crust but enjoy the deep dish on rare occasions. It doesn't seem to be as greasy or heavy as the Giordano's version. Most of the time, we order pasta entrees or the wraps, of which my husband is a fan. Delivery is generally prompt, but we haven't ordered pizza from this location yet. It's a welcome addition to our growing roster of delivery joints. And for whatever reason, the kids love the bread that comes with the entrees.

Ordered a few times before, great food. But what happened there tonight ends me being a customer. My fiancée ordered a pick-up order online and it goes thru just exactly has it did before. Once we get there, there was no record of the order even though her debit card was charged, we even showed her the list of the transaction (with date) from her phone. So I asked her that since we obviously had an order that was charged, if we can just tell her what we had so they can just make it right now and she's said she couldn't. That's bullshit, the money is already in their hands (electronically), so there's should never be a problem. I know, because I used to work in a restaurant/banquet hall and now I currently work at a different restaurant so I know how things like this work. Hell, it even happened at my current job, we checked the computer for the transaction amount and credit card number and behold, there it was, so what happened, we made it right there and graciously apologized. Chicagos pizza should've did the same but they got the what they wanted (money) and we got jack shit. Thanx you pieces of shit.

It was my first and last time going there. I found 3 hairs in the chicken panini. I found one in one half and two in the other half. The sandwich was sealed with toothpicks too. Absolutely disgusting.

4 stars.

It has not.

Now THIS is how all pizza should taste. I like simple cheese thin crust- not too thick, but not paper thin either- perfect! Quick, friendly delivery as well.

It's also pretty hard to resist pizza laying around the house when your hungry, but yeah, the pizza is decent.

good pizza- sauce has good flavor, however, sometimes they do not cook the pizzas very well done at all and I must continue cooking at home!

Great for delivery pizza. Good solid deep-dish, however not quite as good as Lou Malnati's or Giordano's. Slightly too salty. However, still quite a bit above the rest.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
