Fantastic beef's and hot dog's and the fresh cut fried to order frys ain't bad either..you won't be wasting your time or money here like at gene n judes..in the summer they have picnic benches to eat outside so kool..the beef is homemade and the dogs pure vienna no skimping here..prices are a little high but i say you get what you pay for and this joint delivers..if you want some great chicago food then stop on in you won't be sorry..

This is a Chicago dog! Awesome, fries from fresh potatoes, cut right there! My faves are the cheesy beef, the pepper and egg w/ cheese during Lent, and of course the meatball sub! They have a lot more other delicious things; just go hungry and you will love it!!! Great, now I'm hungry just talking about it! LOL

By far a really really good fast food retaurant. Gene and judes usually will have a line and is further away add in they don't have a menu like this. I LOVE LUV really LOVE the Italien beef here. Their cheese fries is awesom and the dogs are too. I keep going back

The burgers were and chicken sandwiches are great. The only thing I would have changed was that they tell you that "Everything" on the burger includes relish. I'm not a big fan of relish so I would've opted out on that. The majority of things seem to be al a carte which is ok in case your trying to be good and not get fries. But if you do....it is a very large bag and can be shared easily between two people or even three. All in all great experience.

I'm from California, went to Michigan for school which is how I discovered what Che-cawgo food is all about. Based on Yelper's checked this place out. The IB was good, very good, but not something special in my opinion. What I was really surprised with was the fries, they were awesome! Shame I couldn't give this place more than one shot, but I gotta star how I gotta star. Hits the IB marks, which is a special sandwich, but it wasn't anything better than it already is...most Vienna places hit this sandwich out of the park, they do too, its good, but not better than what I've had. If you're from California though and know about In N' Out Burgers fries, this place beats them, so its worth checking out. I hope to go back someday. Recommended.

Had this on my list of places to try for quite some time. I decided to go with the old standby test, a hot dog and fries. The hot dog was your typical good Vienna Beef hot dog. It was the natural casing type(SNAP). It wasn't quite as snappy as Gene and Jude's. The advantage is the choice of toppings over Gene and Jude's. You can get tomatoes, pickles, relish, onion, etc. The fries were very good for the fresh cut style. The interior was very clean. The people were nice and friendly. I will be returning to try the beef based on other reviews.

Bob-o's is right down the street from my house....and boy am I glad for that! The beefs are great and the fries are fresh cut and superb. The burgers are good as well. On the down side the price's are a little high for me to frequent this Establishment on a frequent basis.

I visited Bob-Os last week. I was starving since I did not eat anything all day so I ended up getting a cheeseburger and a pizza puff. The pizza puff was really sub-par even the Aldi brandered pizza flavors hot pockets taste better and those are downright nasty. The cheeseburger was also nothing special and left me somewhat disappointed but on the bright side it was not as bad as the pizza puff. The next day I woke up with salmonella poising and spend the whole day in horrible pain. The days that followed were slightly better. I LOVE fast food but I will avoid Bob-Os like the plague.

Bob-o's makes cheeseburgers like Mom makes cheeseburgers. Good-sized hand-formed patty, slice of cheese, hand-sliced thick pieces of tomato and pickle, almost a wedge of iceberg lettuce, plus grilled onions and MMK. It's not at all fancy but very satisfying and good value. Fries are GREAT and if you order cheez fries they ladle the cheez into the fries boat - not a little cup. Hot dogs are just as good as Gene&Judes. The beef is sliced paper thin (it's almost odd in its consistency) but seasoned well and juicy enough without falling apart. I am going to try the polish next.

When Gene & Judes is way to busy, Bob-O's is a great alternative. The hot dogs are the genuine Vienna beef dogs, the fries are fresh cut (you can't go wrong with fresh cut fries), and the Italian beef is good here to.

Best Chicago dogs anywhere in the world. I grew up around the block from this place and as a kid I used to search for money in the couches to be able to get a dog and those delicious skin-on fries. Every time I come back to IL, I go here for my Chicago dog fix. The place has been remodeled extensively since I moved, but the food it still fabulous. Being that I live in CA, you cant find dogs like this and i crave them all the time! Cant wait for my next visit! Mmmmmmmm!!!

Really Great fast food place. Their cheese fries are delicious! Their prices are low too. Their hamburgers aren't that good though.

I like it. Its my last stop out of the city now when I'm headed back to cheese-head country. Good dogs and fries. I think what I really like about the dogs is that they are putting in a nice slice of kosher dill pickle on top of all the other trimmings, and that really makes the meal for me. Stop in and get a dog and fries. Or, even better, a beef. Buy a t-shirt and you'll just impress the hell out of everyone in the place.
