Restaurant review: Fresh pretzels yummy. This is a great location for a snack inside the water tower. It is combined with a red mango location. They have your staple pretzel including the tasty cinnamon pretzel. I was able to use a BOGO email coupon without issue. Staff was fast. The only downside is that it is expensive if you don't have coupons. So if you get that carb craving head on down to auntie anne. Pro: fresh pretzel, large variety including hot dog pretzel Cons: expensive Hidden gem: Sign up for email saving coupon. Free pretzel on your birthday. This is an odd Auntie Anne's, but the food is as good as you'd expect. They also have frozen yogurts! I'm giving this 2-stars because the place is set up weird - the logistics of the "seating area" aren't great. I also wish they'd monitor people who have just come in to sit down. Water Tower Place doesn't have many seating options, so people just come here to take up space so that patrons of AA's don't have anywhere to sit! Fast & friendly service - relatively clean for how slammed they get.

From the minute I walked in it was a bad experience. The staff was not friendly and of the two areas for toppings The first was a mess with toppings dropped all over. You could see no was keeping up with it to keep it clean. The second are was missing about 75% of the selections and were empty. A large group was standing at the register for about 5 minutes. The employees never asked if they needed help or to move to the side. I did finally ask if they were in line and they said no. I finally get to the area to weigh the food and they continue to serve others in the pretzel line. After a few more minutes they say it will just be a few minutes and they continue to serve the other. At this point it's been so long that the yogurt is melted and I tell them I don't want it. I heard one of them ask where the other employee was? WOW I live near by and there are three other options that are as good if not better. If the owners want to contact me I took photos if they want to see how the place is presented to the public.

A lot of rude employees there. Not friendly what so ever. Lady rung me up wrong but didn't give me the "3 free pretzels if rung up wrong" like how it's taped on the registers. Pretzels are good but can be undercooked when they're rushing. Most of the time they won't have what I want which results in me waiting 15 minutes. This location is horrible.

They are always busy here... But today, a very, very nice pretzel 'chef' named Corbin went above and beyond... He truly made my day! I will go out of my way to return again.

$5.40+ for a pretzel and a drink? Eek. At least my trip here was free since I found a gift card that has somehow eluded me since Christmas 2007. It's like finding soft pretzels in an old coat pocket. The pretzels are thin, a bit not soft, and, well, not filling. And the garlic pretzel? Yikes. It's not infused with delicious minced garlic pieces like the jalapeno pretzel is with peppers; rather, it's a plain pretzel coated in garlic powder as it's served up to you. It was a garlic powdery mess all over my coat, pants, phone, and lips. I blame this pretzel on my bad breath/inability to talk to my classmates yesterday. Fail, Auntie Anne's.

Let me start off by saying, I love Auntie Anne's. In fact, the owner of Auntie Anne's lives in my county back in PA. However, my last experience was less than mediocre. I first asked for a cinnamon sugar pretzel (a classic), and they told me they were out. So they offered me the sticks, which were more expensive. Unfortunately the sticks they gave me were clearly old. They were hard and tasted horrible. To top it off, I asked for tap water and they turned me down. I don't think I've EVER been turned down for tap water.

Please stop complaining about long lines! Hello--that means the product is GOOD. So after basically two Thanksgiving dinners and eating turkey four times, I promised myself I'd go light on the bread this week. Or light on something. Or eat spinach at every meal. Whatever. I lasted less than a day because I had to go to Sephora on my lunch break. It was already 2pm and I was pushing it not eating lunch so late but once I smelled the pretzels, I was done for. Yummy, yummy pretzel sticks were soon in my hand and I am typing this now content. I didn't get the pretzel dog this time--but it's true, it's great. I also love the garlic and sour cream and onion pretzels. The too-sugary lemonade is also great. I've been coming here for years and the staff remembers me. Even when it's been 6 months between visits. I like that.

Quick snack - decently priced. I like their different flavors from the super sweet cinnabon pretzals to the garlic onion ones. They also have the dipping pretzal sticks, too - check it out for a quick and filling snack but be prepared to pay a bit more for it, too.

If you love pretzels, this is definitely a place you need to visit. They have all different flavors of fresh-baked pretzels. My personal favorite is the garlic and onion pretzel. Oh, and their fresh squeezed lemonade is amazing too. Great, cheap place to get a yummy and filling snack.

Oh damn. I forgot about this gift sent from above, in the form of a pretzel making chain. See? God does work in mysterious ways!! Grandma was totally right. Their cinnamon sugar pretzel and the stix form is so good! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! The stix version is a tad less messier and can be eaten more elegantly for my ladylike self, imo. So buttery, soft, covered in cinnamon and sugar goodness; it made me forget my fantasies for a cinnabon cinnamon roll temporarily. Their pretzel dog isn't as good as I remembered. Maybe cuz the last time I had one was in Indiana during college and it tasted like awesome at the time cuz I was use to eating dumpster worthy food on a regular basis by then. My friend scoffed at the price for a pretzel but Pffffffffft. Puh leez..... I'll pay any price for an orgasm in my mouth. And by orgasm in my mouth, I mean a party up in my mouth, and by a party up in my mouth, I mean a full on rave or kegger, and by a full on rave or bad ass kegger, I mean something worthy of making me go out in the streets and dance, and by going out in the streets and dance- especially during rush hour, I mean spazzing out from pure joy and satisfaction, and by spazzing out from pure joy and satisfaction, I mean I'll be having a seizure-esque moment for my love of warm angelic carbs sent from you know where. And by angelic carbs sent from you know where, I mean breads and pastries only. Pasta and rice? Bitch please. This review deserves some sweet innocent tunes for Saint Carbohydrate, patron saint of bloated up faces and asses- Home girl has blessed so many in the midwest. I'm torn between 2 songs, either one is fitting: youtube.com/watch?v=7VJL… youtube.com/watch?v=szXo…

So I went to Auntie Anne's for the first time today, and it was a great way to end a long day of shopping! Ever since my boyfriend had Auntie Anne's about a week ago, he had been going on and on about them. So since we were in water tower, I decided to give it a try! They have a pretty good two-for deal: two items (original stix, cinnamon stix or a pretzel dog) for $5.50. I got the cinnamon stix and the bf got the pretzel dog. Both were delicious! The cinnamon stix were super sweet, and probably really bad for you, but I couldn't help it! The pretzel dog was juicy and warm, which is a dangerous combo! This place is pretty tiny, so I can see how it can get packed, but its worth the wait. Enjoy!

An Awesome chain. I love Auntie Anne's, especially their almond or cinnamon pretzels. Their lemonade is also superb. I can't handle plain pretzels with cheese, but when I had Auntie Anne's back in the day, my life changed forever.

Love the Sour Cream & Chive pretzels (powdered, non-dairy) with cheese sauce.

If you like hot pretzels, why not stop by. I don't eat pretzels very often, but once in a while will get a taste for one. I think they should cook them here a little longer. It's not like going to a NY city pretzel guy, but it's not bad.

The lines are long, but worth it. I think these are some of the best soft pretzels in Chicago. I can't seem to walk by this place without the smell drawing me into line for a cinnamon sugar pretzel.
