I had walked past this place a bunch of times when they were doing the build out and wondered what the heck was going on. I recently saw them put in the large outdoor patio and so after a hailstorm and after watching a car accident (which I think was a result of people driving in hail) I figured that I better duck in here before giant frogs fell from the sky. I made the right choice. I got the $5 veggie slice and it comes with a free soda (like some of the other $5 slice places down on say Chicago Ave) but the pizza is much better those old school places down at Western and Chicago. The veggie was topped with a red and green pepper mix and these tasted like they were marinated in olive oil. The cheese was mind blowing, and the crust, oh the crust, was perfect. They do something that makes this crust super yummy. I don't know what it is, but I am glad I can't do it at home because I would be making pizza every day. I have never had an Armand's pizza, but I must say that while it is not trying to be Crust, or Piece or Boiler Room, it is a true gem in the neighborhood and from what I read on the walls while waiting for my pizza slice to be warmed in the oven they have been doing pizza in the Chicago area since the 1950s. This is an authentic thin crust at a good price and the fact that they do it the way you figured a "real" pizza place does without skimping by using garbage cheese and junk toppings. They do it the old fashioned way and they do it well. Way to keep it real. Yum!

I moved to Chicagoland 5 years ago, I was living in Elmwood Park and didn't have much in my pocket and didn't yet know how to cook. Armand's was just down the street and they pretty much kept me from starving to death. I was pretty much stretching their generous portions as long as I could in order to stay alive. Nowadays I live in Wicker Park and I'm no longer a starving young professional. You could imagine how excited I was when I found them on Division! My girlfriend and I just ate it tonight and we were very satisfied. Their pan pizza isn't cheap but 2 slices will almost certainly fill you up. My only gripe is that they don't have their chicken parm sandwich on the menu. This used to be my FAVORITE sandwich ever. I hope they bring it back!

Armand's Pizzeria is a great place to go for a quick bite. During lunch they have a great special that is $5 for a BIG slice and a drink. Can't beat the quality for the price!

This review is for delivery only: The food took an hour to arrive (which is on the high-side for delivery), and the pasta was mediocre, but the pizza was great! Overall, I'd order from 'em again.

Armand's pizza is, quite simply, pretty damn solid, reliable, consistent, tasty pizza. Stick with the thin crust. Quick delivery. A go-to in WP / UV. Cheaper and just as delectable as Pizano's.

Armand's makes a good pizza pie. It is the mid-ground between the gooey, heart stopping, Chicago deep dish type pizza and the fancy fancy thin crust that is more like a cracker with a salad on top. Delicious combinations that you won't regret taking a chance on.

I ordered delivery: a meatball sandwich, a salad, and a pizza. The salad was kind of what I expected--heavy on the iceberg--but the rest of the food was so sub-par that I wondered if I had actually ordered from the same place that inspired these glowing reviews. The sandwich didn't have cheese on it. The bread wasn't warm or toasted. The meatballs tasted like sawdust. The pizza wasn't even warm, and after I had reheated it in the oven for about 20 minutes, the cheese still hadn't melted. What kind of cheese is that? Cheese that doesn't bubble or melt or brown? I'm pretty sure even government cheese melts. I ate half a slice of pizza and threw the rest out. It was inedible, and I will eat most foods out of obligation and guilt. After that, I spent the evening wearing a hair-shirt, sitting in shame in my dark closet, whipping myself with switches, cursing myself for wasting money, and thinking of all the other things I could have done with $40: -purchase a microwave -go out to an actual meal at an actual place -pay half of a cell phone bill -rent a seedy hotel room -pay a copay at a doctor's office and have $10 left over -buy a week's worth of groceries -buy a bottle of pretty good whiskey -get a haircut -buy shoes -fill up my gas tank -buy a new self-flagellation kit.

Pizza was delivered in 40 minutes. Hot. Fresh. Delish. Jalapenos were spicy. Sauce is great too. Wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but it's hard to turn your nose at.

This is great thin crust pizza!! The sauce is a little bland so I season it a little but excellent fresh ingredients. Nice thin, crispy crust. Good cheese, too.

Good, thin crust, greasy, late night pizza and a pop for $5.... It does not get better than this in Wicker Park (technically Ukrainian Village)!

  • Stella W.

Blahhh...what happened? Last few times I ordered, delivery was quick,, but the pizza was terrible. Bland, under seasoned and lame. Hello Piazanos!

    (1)
  • Gunner F.

Just dropped $30 on two pasta dishes for delivery. The containers had more water in it than sauce. The meatball was a flavorless mushball. Totally disgusting. This is the kind of experience that makes you feel like taking the food back and throwing it in the manager's face. Avoid this place unless you're drunk and can't afford more than a slice of pizza at the counter.

A-Ok perfectly sums up Armand's Division takeout and mini-dine in local. I wouldn't recommend their beef or other sandwiches--stick with pizza here. Their pizza is pretty solid thin crust, and its nice to have a neighborhood slice spot that doesn't ONLY sell the jumbo slices. I wish I could rave about Armand's, because I grew up going to Elmwood Park original location from the time I was born until it closed. Went there for holidays, birthdays, everything. Mike, the owner, always gave me cute little Armand's tee shirts and stuff, as well as a pair of shorts, and watch--as I proud pizza fan at even the youngest age I sported this stuff with pride. Their pizza was amazing back then, something has changed--I suspect it's the cheese. But either way, A-OK, and I'm glad to see Mike's legacy carried on in some capacity.

Ok. Armands. You've redeemed yourself. I think you've grown on me. Very tasty compared to what's around. Also you're customer service is great!! Thanks for trying to keep your patrons happy and satisfied. You rock.

  • Julie A.

This is just a-ok, nothing special at all. They really need to add more seasonings to their sauce, and they were super skimpy on the toppings.

When you're in an Italian bar, with pictures glorifying mobsters covering the walls and Deano on the juke box, and an Italian guy tells you to eat, then you eat. I don't care if you were next door stuffing your face with pasta just 30 minutes before the offer. You eat. Seewhahimsayin'? So the owner of Armand's had two pies delivered to the bar for the patrons to sample. I got up to take a look, and the owner told me to grab a slice. I responded that I'd just eaten next door. He replied that I had to try it anyway. "Here, try da sausage," he said. You don't turn down an Italian guy in an Italian bar giving you Italian food if you know what's good for you. Youknowwhadahmsayin? Anyway, I downed a square slice of sausage za. Bada-bing. Very good. I'm going to have to try it again to know if it's fuhgeduhbahdit good. For now, it's four stars good. Edit of 8/23/11: I figured I owed it to the owner to check out his place, so I went for a slice. Slices are five dollars and come with a pop. Verdict? Good, huge old school slices of za.

The food at the Wicker Pk. location on Division St. is excellent! And much better than the Western Ave. location. My only gripe about Wicker Pk. is that I recently went there and sat down and ate inside, but an early 50's woman who works there was running her big mouth on the phone the entire time I was there, which was VERY annoying and really took away from the experience. She has a typical Elmwood Pk. hairdo with the typical Elmwood Pk. whine in her voice when she talks. Ma'am, do all of your customers a HUUUUGE favor and please go in the back next time you're on the phone......nobody wants to hear you, trust me. I couldn't believe I had to listen to her whining on the phone about something the entire time I was there, so frustrating!!! Again, very good food though, just don't eat inside if that woman is working that day.

I really enjoyed their pizza and salad I got in a delivery. Very tasty ingridients, presentation of the pizza was great and it was a healthy option for my diet. Only bad thing was the delivery was about an 1.5hr BUT it was a Friday at 7ish so I am letting it slide. Not perfect food but it was great. I hope to order again soon.

I feel violated. I just paid $5 for a slice of greasy thin crust pizza, and I wasn't even in Manhattan. Was it good? Not particularly. Was I full of regret after looking across the street at Crust? Yes. Next time I'm in the mood for a quick slice, I'll be heading elsewhere. Thanks for playing Armand's.

I'm pretty sure that Armand's saved my body after a late-afternoon Sunday Fun-day spent at Do Division. In fact, I'm fairly certain Armand's saved a lot of people's bodies. For most of the time I was on Division, there was quite a line. For good reason, I learned... A fresh, ginormous piece of their cheese pizza sprinkled with red pepper flakes and oregano tasted amazing. The crust was very thin and crispy and the cheese was very tasty. And $4 for a slice and a drink makes it a great value. Despite the long lines full of festival goers (read, drunks!), employees we friendly and courteous. Well done. I can't say I'd feel the same dealing with the crowd. But I did appreciate the slice with a smile. Welcome to the 'hood, Armand's! I suspect you're going to make my walks home from the blue line in the evening a bit more dangerous.

From what i've seen, heard and how they're advertised, I think this is prob more of a "Slice" place but I wasn't in the mood for leaving the house. Hind sight perhaps I should have as the Small (12") pizza w. Sausage and Onion I ordered rang in at over $20 with delivery/tax/tip....I hear the huge slices can be had for $5 w. pop, that's a bit more like it. Ahh well next time i guess. And there will be a next time as I quite like Armand's. I looked on line at the pics and could tell I was gonna have to tell them to cook it longer than they normally would...so i asked for it well done. It came to the door piping hot and precisely how i like my pizza cooked w. a nice caramelized cheese on top. Looked and smelled great. It's a pretty thin crust and has a sort of cornmeal (i think) dusted on the bottom. The combo of sausage and onion was perfect and the cheese, sauce, ingredient ratio was equally well done. And speaking of the sauce, it's a semi sweet variety and rounded out the pizza well. [x] Will be back

After a girls night out I decided to stop by Armand's for a secret slice of pizza. Secret slice being, "I'll just eat a slice of pizza on the walk home and the bf will be none the wiser. And won't judge me for saying I'm on a diet, but then watch me eat a Sonoran hot dog from Big Star and late night pizza all within four hours." He actually doesn't really judge, I just have a lot of food guilt. I ordered "a slice" and was presented with two HUGE slices and a soda. You can't exactly eat with a soda and two slices of boxed pizza on a walk. So I had to take it home and admit to my food guilt. But, the bf was happy and since the slices are so big I was able to share my guilt with him! Maybe not "the best" pizza in the word, but for cheap takeout it sure does the trick. Just not walking approved.

A med pizza, appetizer and salad for 30 bones? Good to me! I really like the pizza too, finally some good Italian pizza. The 'to go' slices are HUGE and yeah...a little greasy but hey, its pizza and it's a deal. The slice is practically the size of a small pizza. The salads are fresh, though u could put some green peppers and red onions on the mediterranean salad. Sausage pizza made to order was out of this world good! And the baked artichoke.....amazing. Give this place a try, it's worth it!

Love their thin crust pizza, thick is just okay. GREAT green peppers for toppings. Wish they were open late night like they used to be. Friendly staff.

Something is majorly wrong here. Somebody please tell me if Armand's has changed their recipe. I used to love their pizza. I remember the first time I tried it. I raved about how their pizza was exactly what I like in a good pie: perfect buttery thin crust, great taste, good and cheesy. It was going to be my new go-to pizza place when I wanted more authentic tasting pizza and not the generic doughy mess from other places. But I got a slice this evening and it was not the pizza I remembered having a few months ago. The crust was tougher, cardboard-like; hard to chew. The crust was bland. Commercial tasting. flat. (Frozen?) The pizza didn't taste like anything, except for a blast of oregano I got in exactly one bite. It's what I imagine pizza would taste like if Chuck E. Cheese started making pizza for adults. Soooooo glad I didn't order a whole pizza. I'm super disappointed.

Really great pizza. A new favorite for me. Very fresh ingredients, and very well balanced in quantity. FANTASTIC thin crust- I really enjoy cracker-influenced thin crust pizza. Great combo pizzas. A little expensive, thanks to the trendy neighborhood.

What a great thin crust pizza; crispy crust, just the way I like it. And the sausage was amazing. It's nice to have a new place in the neighborhood and just in time for Do Division on one of the hottest days of the year. Good Prices, Friendly Staff, Great Pizza, Way To Go!!!

My review for Armand's Pizzeria on Division St. In Ukrainian Village Chicago. I know this restaurant very well. So I come at this restaurant review with a personal point of view. I learned the restaurant business from the original owners Michael Caringella and his family. As a teenager I worked for them for years in the original Elmwood Park restaurant. I worked in many areas for Armand's from bus-boy, to the chef's helper in the kitchen. My favorite place to work was when I was with the Pizza crew. I made pizzas cleaned the kitchen and even went on many deliveries. If you lived in the Elmwood Park area you went to Armand's many times a week. For our family their food was always "our" first choice over any other. Last night my wife and I ordered Salads and Pizza for a party. The salads were so fresh, so large and healthy. I have read reviews saying the new locations pizza is much like what we had growing up from the original Elmwood Park location. The Pizza we had was... could I say BETTER than we have ever had.... So my wife and I will tell you and everyone else "You must have this fabulous hand made thin crust pizza" from Armand's Pizzeria. Armand's Pizzeria 2121 W. Division St. - Chicago 773-698-7944 Danny & Marie Lena DannyLena@gmail.com

Pizza is such a subjective thing...personally I'm not a fan of Chicago-style deep dish...to me that's not pizza, it's a whole other food group. Armand's has great thin crust pizza, the edges were almost tooth-shatteringly crisp. I'd definitely go again but ask for extra sauce as I like my pizzas pretty saucy. I preferred Armand's to Ria's, the ingredients just seem fresher.

Being the pizza lover that I am, I was very excited to get a new pizza place in the hood so my husband, son and I walked here tonight to pick up a quick dinner. I love the option of being able to just buy a slice. My husband had the thin crust sausage and I chose the thick crust cheese. The price for a slice is the same for both- $5. However, included in the $5 is a soft drink. Additionally, the slices of pizza are so big they cut them into 2 slices for you. We felt like we were getting a very good value, especially since after only paying $10 we left feeling very full. I liked both the thin and the thick pizza and would happily order either next time depending on what I was in the mood for. The rest of the menu looked good as well. Next time I come, I would like to try the Italian Beef. Additionally, I took note of a huge pizza they serve for $28 that serves 12. I figured it would be a great, cheap option for having guests over. Overall, I am excited to have a close place in the neighborhood to walk and get a slice. It wasn't the best pizza I have ever had, but it was good. I want to judge the pizza again when I order a full pizza hot. I think it's unfair to judge the place based on pizza that has been sitting under a warmer.

I LOVE Armand's!!! It is the best pizza I have ever had! They have delicious baked clams with the most wonderful sauce and I also love the salads. My favorite pizza is the Signature Nova and the Four Cheese and the Sausage is out of this world! I eat here all the time and it is always wonderful! Friendly staff as well. I can't wait to go back for more! See you soon!!!

Love, love, love this place! Pizza is great and the stuffed artichokes are so delicious. Had a great time on the outdoor patio. Love that it's BYOB. Will surely be returning in the near future.

By far this is my favorite pizza. Living in the West Loop I really enjoy a good pizza and now that I know this place delivers to me I am now a weekly customer. Nothing beats a good pizza and a Blackhawks game! Ordering a pizza in 15min! Thanks Armands!

Carelessly made, uninspired pizza slapped together unlovingly in a charmless restaurant managed/owned by some surly man.

I grew up on Armand's pizza at my grandma's house in Elmwood Park. That was 5-star good. No locations emulate that pie but the one on division comes awfully close.

  • Michael B.

My entire building is annoyed by Armand's recent advertising attempt. They put a cheaply made menu on the windshield of every car on our street and after our recent rain and then sun, each car has dried up, crusty ink residue that does not come off easily. There are lots of people with nice cars that are really pissed off. Just put the menu in the mail like everyone else.

Great pizza. Unlike other places in the area, not too proud to make heart-shaped pizzas on Valentine's Day, which was perfect for two guys who had a date in front of a TV with a Hawks game.

If you're considering eating at Armand's or ordering from there, do it immediately if not sooner. Everything is outstanding! I highly recommend trying their signature thin crust pizza, as well the Armand's salad, especially if you're an artichoke lover. The pizza is super-thin, and some of the best I've had in the city! As a sidenote, when the delivery guy handed me my receipt, it appeared that a coupon I had wasn't included in the charge on my credit card. The owner personally called me 10 minutes later to apologize for any confusion, and clarify the correct amount. The shock still hasn't worn off.

I was really hoping this place would be great since it is literally three doors down from me. I love thin crust pizza and a good old fashioned piece of cheese from time to time but this was seriously disappointing. Five dollars a slice is a little steep for pizza with a big lack on flavor. For some reason I was also crazy enough to try the cannoli which was stale and had obviously been sitting in the fridge making the shell soggy. Oh well, I'll stick with Crust, Piece and Santullo's for my pizza.

I had Armand's delivered for an event at work, and it was delicious! And I'm not the only one that said so -- all my coworkers were raving about it too! Usually work events with "pizza" mean some cardboard covered in grease that's really cheap, but this was the real deal! I ordered a variety of different kinds and was most impressed by the vegetarian pizza. Armand's does not skimp on veggies like other places. I hope my work orders again because we all really liked it.

I was looking for something new and came across Armand's. I think it is safe to say I have found my new go-to for thin crust pizza. The crust has a great crunch, it is not overloaded with cheese, and they are very generous with their toppings. I highly recommend this place.

  • M M.

Pizza was decent but be careful with your contact info--just started getting SMS spam from them despite not having ordered anything in months. Looks like they're partnering with a service called EZtexting, which is weird because you'd think businesses would know by now that this sort of thing can be counterproductive due to how much it annoys people.

    (1)
  • Ira M.

I'd like to add that shortly after submitting my original review the owner contacted me to understand exactly what went wrong with my experience. This is promising as it shows me that he cares to correct any issues which may exist. He also offered to make good on my previously poor service. Unfortunately I wasn't in town long enough to take him up on the offer.

Love love love! I LOVE Armand's pizza. I had it again about a week ago an I'm still craving it! The slices are huge and they're just overall delicious! I've had slices of cheese, pepperoni, and slices of sausage...I can't figure our which I like best. Next, I'm going to have to branch out and order something else they have on their menu but, it will be hard to pass up their pizza! Great new addition to Division!

For those in the know, good thin crust pizza is a southside thing. Armand's on Division is the westside soulution.

  • Katherine T.

When I saw all the great reviews for this place, I was pumped because I live a block away but when I went I was very disappointed. I got a slice of pizza which tasted like it came straight from the freezer section of Jewel. There was nothing original, flavorful or special about that slice. Pizza is one of my favorite foods and I am typically satisfied by most pizza I eat but there are definitely better pizza and drink combos in the area. I only gave it 2 stars because the guy behind the counter was friendly. Though this is the closest pizzeria to my place, I don't anticipate returning.

On Saturday night, we often order a take-out pizza, watch TV, and cuddle on the couch. Usually we get it at Pizza Metro, but since Armand's opened, it's a little closer, and had decent reviews, so I thought I'd try them. We got a thin crust sausage, red pepper, onion, mushroom, and black olive. Very disappointing. Not that it was bad, it just had no flavor to it. I suspect the ingredients were not as fresh as they should be. It also didn't look quite as good as what I'm used to: Kind of a uniform reddish-gray color. Definitely not up to a Chicagoans expectation of Pizza. I would say the onions did taste better than Pizza Metro. Very sweet and tasty. The price was typical, it was ready on time, and when I picked it up, the people were friendly. But I'm probably not going back.

I've been looking for a new pizza place in the neighborhood and came across Armad's. I ordered a thin crust pizza and caesar salad. Both were amazing!!! Loved the fresh ingredients, taste of crust, and how they were not cheap with croutons. I'll defiantly be ordering from this place again. It's a little expensive for a thin crust pizza, but defiantly worth the price.

Love love love Armand's Pizza. Had it a few weeks ago - they donated like 30 pizzas to Gigi's Playhouse (a Down Syndrome Awareness Center) for their holiday party. The party was on Sunday and they delivered 30 hot pizzas in the late morning, so when you consider how early they were up making the actual pizzas, well the effort was so incredibly generous. All guests left with full and happy tummies. Thanks again Armands.

Welcome to the hood Armand's! I had a craving and thought I'd take a chance on you and what a delightful surprise. Love your hours, loved your pepperoni(huge, good spice) plus side salad and drink for under $7...perfect. Service was great too tonight! Can't wait until that next craving hits.

I grew up on Armands in Elmwood Park. I have not found another thin crust as good as theirs. I drove out from McHenry just to have a thin crust cheese pizza. It was worth it! I was not disappointed. Thanks for being you.

Probably the best NY style pizza I have ever had in Chicago. I bought a slice of cheese yesterday for lunch after wanting something quick, easy, and cheap. I wasn't expecting anything other then your standard slice. I was totally wrong though. This is exactly the kind of pizza you don't expect to find in 'deep dish' Chi. The slice was very large and paper thin. (so thin you could probably eat 3 of them!) The thinnest I've had without it breaking! The establishment was very clean too and the girl stuck it in the oven for a bit before giving it to me so when I ate it, it was so crispy and perfect! It had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese and the crust was supurb and buttery. I know i was hungry when i ate it so anything would have tasted good, but this really went beyond expectations. I had a pedicure appointment across the street so enjoyed my food as I sat getting pampered..I felt like a queen and couldnt stop smiling from the awesome slice I was enjoying! My only negative, being somewhat of an environmentalist, I find it kind of wasteful that they serve your slice to you in a pizza box. It's cute and nice, but it seems an awful waste for a paper thin slice. I think I would serve it on a paper plate and a piece of foil for to-go slices...save the boxes for whole orders perhaps. ? Just a thought! But as far as pizza quality.....THE BEST if you are looking for NY style! Also, $5 even for a drink and slice, tax and all =) Can't wait to go back!

I'm glad that this pizza place opened on Division, because until now there haven't been many place to grab a quick, cheap slice on the way home. I've eaten here four times, twice were to-go. In one of each dining scenario my pizza was somewhat soggy toward the middle, but the flavor has been great each time. I have also had the stuffed artichoke, which I do NOT recommend. Essentially it's an artichoke whose layers are filled with bland breadcrumb stuffing. I expected something buttery or cheesy, or at least flavorful, but the artichoke was none of the above. Not worth the money or the time spent waiting for it to be prepared. Overall, this place is a great stop after a long day when you're just looking for something easy and cheap for dinner. I will be back, but not for that artichoke.

For some reason, This location depreciated. The pizza crust ends were overdone (burnt).

  • Francine R.

Stopped by to grab a couple of slices of pizza to try them out. I had a thin slice of pepperoni and one slice of sausage deep dish. $5 gets you a slice of pizza and sofa. Good deal since the slice is huge. I didn't want soda, so I was charged $4/per slice which is fair. Came home and warmed up a couple of slices, and found the thin crust dry. I'll give it another chance and order a fresh pizza. And will definitely try their other dishes.

I have been eating Armands Pizza for 50 years! The pizza at the newly opened franchises tastes the same as it does at the original Armands. Try it you will love it. A good pizzeria provides consistency in taste and quality. Armand's is good.

Armands Pizza offer terrific food at a great price. I love their pizza because it is crispy and made with fresh ingredients. I ordered one with bacon, jalapenos and mushroom, Delicious. I have had their salad and pasta, both of which were freshly made and tasteful. I like the relaxed atmosphere and have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. When I went with my 3 year old twins, the girl had the sense to wait to serve their pizza until it cooled down. Highly recommend this Pizzeria. They also recently sponsored a huge event at a nearby hospital, serving food to over 300 adults and children. Love their community spirit. They deserve much success!!

I had a couple slices of sausage. They don't mess around with the crust. Perfect texture, perfect crispiness. When you eat here, be sure to mind the crust. Great sausage quality as well.

Ordered a pizza 2 hours ago via Grub Hub and still no delivery. Called and had someone tell me that she's sorry but the drivers are 'slowing down' as if that made any sense whatsoever. When I seemed less than pleased with her answer, she asked 'Well, do you want me to call the driver?' No, I just want my pizza. Used to be a quality place to order. Here's a hint - have your drivers actually deliver within a reasonable time-frame or don't offer delivery. And asking me if I want you to 'call the driver' makes no sense. No, I want the food I ordered. How you accomplish that is on you. Won't be ordering again.

Great delivery service. We did accidentally receive a desert we didn't order but it was a Delicious and Sweet mistake! Thanks!

Disappointing pan pizza. The sauce lacked flavor and seemed like it was straight tomato paste. The cheese was kind of rubbery. The crust looked good, but wasn't very tasty. I ended up with some ripping heart burn. Seems to be of low quality. Second star awarded for quick delivery on a busy night. It seems like this place is known for its thin crust pizza rather than pan or deep dish. I have not had the thin crust. Maybe they should focus on what they do better and take the pan off the menu.

Me and the family were there a few Saturdays ago and our experience couldn't have been any better (unless it was free, lol). When we walked in we were greeted by a guy behind the register that said he was Sal the owner. There were a couple of tables filled with families eating and watching the Cubs game on the tv. Sal came out and told us to sit at any open table and went over the menu with us and talking sports with my boys. We have 2 growing boys, 10 and 13 and we tried quite a bit of the menu, here is our review: If there's one thing you have to try it's the Garlic Cheese Twists, WOW! They are a little crisp on the edges but nice and soft in the middle, we all loved them. The boys loved the buffalo wings and they kept saying that were "fresh" unlike the frozen ones that Dad (me) likes to cook at home, lol. The cheese sticks are made the authentic way of breading the cheese and deep frying them. Of course there's nothing like pizza right out of the oven and with their cracker crust (I'm a southside Nick & Vitos type guy) they do a damn good pizza. Overall, the food was great and with an owner so enthused about the food and his customers, this place should do well. We will be back, especially during football season.

I was recently at a birthday party when I spied some delicious looking pizza, and zoned out. All I could think was "Ommmm that pizza looks so good. Can people stop talking to me now so I can eat this pizza...droool". Don't judge me! I was starving and it had been a long day! So, after suffering through a bit of conversation, I finally elbowed my way through the masses and grabbed a few slices. It was delightful. Thin, crispy with a delicious sauce and just the right amount of cheese. A few days later I was craving the delicious thin crust pizza, but didn't know where it came from. A few texts later, I found out it was Armand's and I had a hot pie on the way. I may or may not have eaten it all.

Come here when Im by work and wanting a slice. They got the typical $5 even for a big slice with a drink deal commonly seen at Baccis and other pizza spots. The pizza is not bad, tasty, not too greasy. Staff are cool. Havent really tried anything else here. Good but not amazing. Wish they would have more unique pizzas with different types of ingredients.

Love this place and have been going for years for pizza. We order yardsticks for our kid's birthday parties or any social events. I also love the pizza nova, it is unique and very tasty! Staff are always helpful and very well-organized. NEVER had a problem with delivery in all the years that we have been using Armands. The pizza arrives piping hot and always made with love. Highly recommended.

To be fair, the pizza is pretty damn good. I'd even venture to say above average in the area. That said, when your pizza arrives in a jumbled mess, and containing an entire onion on a couple slices, I have to knock the review down a few notches. The delivery driver either shook the shit out of these or dropped them and didnt think we'd notice (really?). Color me disappointed tonight.

Was waffling between 3 and 4 stars. Leaned towards 4 because i really enjoyed the crust, and they delivered faster than promised. Overall: solid, fairly traditional thin crust pizza. Probably one of the better options in WP/UK village not named Roots for thinner crust.

As we were wandering down Division making a decision about dinner, we happened across this place. They were advertising thin crust which was the preference of my friend. We stopped in and ordered a pie to go. The staff was friendly and the space was clean. We hung out for a few minutes and our pizza was ready. We got the Quatro Formaggi and it was tasty. Each cheese had it's distinct flavor and what we didn't finish that night was equally tasty cold for breakfast the next day.

Sal, the owner read my review and contacted me via yelp to discuss delivery issue. I am very pleased with his service and willingness to reach out to me to correct the problem. So for that, I am changing the rating to 4 stars.

Wow, so I went here to pick up Lunch and they forgot to put part of my order in the bag. I didn't realize until I was already driving to the other side of the city. Called and the not very nice woman who answered said, "yeah, we tried to find you when we realized." Because lunch breaks don't last forever I didn't have time to go back to pick it up. When I suggested she refund me for the food I didn't actually receive, she reacted like I asked her to give me her first born child. With a response of "are kidding me that's a $4.00 slice of pizza, I can't just refund that." Now I realize yes it is only $4.00, I can survive without the shitty slice of pizza that has probably been sitting under the heat lamp for hours. You are running a business it was your mistake, I didn't pack the the order to leave your establishment. When a customer doesn't receive their order you should refund it. I also paid with a card and tipped you for you shitty service.

This business has the honor of delivering me my single worst customer service experience of my entire life. I'm including Comcast, post office, and any other candidate in the pool here and I am not being dramatic. I've supported Armandi's since the first week they opened doors and was a regular customer up until recently. They will NEVER earn my business back and I've made it a point to tell literally every one of my friends in the near area to take their business elsewhere, and we have. Pizano's, Johns, Piece, etc will continue to earn my business. If anyone from Armandi's cares (though I sincerely doubt it), the cause of this review was your manager of the Division St location, taller guy, very short hair, medium skin tone. He refused to even tell me his name so you can go by that description, this was last October when the incident took place. I typically don't wish negativity on a business or people in general but if this is the caliber of people Armandi's wishes to have run their locations, then yeah, I hope their doors close and someone else with better ethics and common courtesy moves in. /end rant

Do not ever order delivery from this dump. Their customer service is belligerent and completely out of bounds. The main Armand's in Elmwood Park has nothing to do with this POS establishment and it has no business in the service industry. The jack-as who answered the phone was threatening and full of nothing but expletives as I attempted to find out where my pizza was after 90 min. Good luck with that kind of customer service. I'm sure the owner is happy to have goon answering his customers concerns. If they care at all about the customers!!!

It was my first time at this Armand's and I must say I was beyond impressed! My friends and I got the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer (that were out of this world) and pizza for dinner. I definitely see why they this place is so unique...I love the cornmeal on the bottom, it is outstanding! This is my new favorite spot and I will continue to recommend them.

This is a great late night spot to buy pizza by the slice. It's simple no frills, filling, greasy pizza. The price isn't bad for quarter slice pizza. I like that it's BYOB and an outdoor seating area. I might try a made to order one the next time as opposed to ones they have set to purchase by the slice to see if it's any different. Service is pretty quick. The restaurant was like a sauna they day we came in for a slice.

This Place.... Wow, I was at the Fatpour's down the street and walking back to my car at about 10ish at night when I stumbled across this little jewel. Walked in, asked for a slice then thought hell, I'm hungry... make it two. Little did I know that a "Slice" is damn near a quarter of a pie... did I get lucky? are they normally sliced this large? Who cares! It was awesome! So awesomely tasty in fact that I ate a half a pizza... shame shame SHAME! I just ruined the workout from that morning and the next few days worth too. I got 2 slices of plain cheese pizza (yup I'm boring) and a small drink - $9.00 The pie was hot, cheese was melty, sauce was damn near perfect (coulda used a weeee bit more sauce on it) and the crust was ridiculously crunchy and delicious. Big props to this place for: 1 - Awesome HOT pizza 2 - being FAST - like REALLY FAST 3 - The staff - friendly, friendly and... oh ya FRIENDLY I'll be back here again, except maybe I'll just ONE slice then. SYOY!

I'm surprised this place doesn't have better reviews because it is damn good. I don't know what it is exactly - the crust has a unique and delicious flavor and a nice respite from our usual Lou's, Giordano's, etc.. The crust-sauce-cheese ratio is perfect. The f***ing meatballs. MEATBALLS. On pizza. How come this isn't more common across pizzerias? They just nestle in there with the sauce and the cheese makes such a nice blanket and the crust is just a slightly crunchy yet pillowy pillow. I'm thinking way too much about this :)

What a gem. I've lived in the neighborhood for about a year and just the other day realized this place exists. A bit skeptical when we walked in. It was just us... Opted to carry out. The pizza was quick and THEY DO SLICES. wow. One of the better pizzas I've had in a while very different from all the other joints out there. Next pizza I eat will be from these guys.

The pizza is very hit and miss. I've ordered whole pies for a party and had them be pretty good (not great). I've stopped in to grab a slice and had it be poor. The pizza is also a little pricy and I don't think its a good value for what you spend. And one specific gripe. If you have a sign advertising "Late Night Slices". Late night better mean later than 11:30 on a Saturday night.

Came in yesterday with my husband, we ordered to go since the AC was broken. Not a big deal we were OK with eating there or at home. Felt like the staff was nice however the food was not great....we got home and they forgot our dressing for our Mediterranean salad. The salad had about 5 small tomatoes and 8 slices of cucumber on top of a bed of iceberg lettuce for $8. It felt like it wasn't the best salad for the money, not to mention I was eating it dry. We had to remind the guy putting together our order that he forgot our pizza slice before we left the place, without me paying attention to it, we would have left without that too. I really enjoyed Armand's prior to the new owners, their bruschetta was amazing, however when I ordered this time it had melted cheese on top of tomatoes and garlic bread. This is not the way the old Armand's would prepare it, kind of disappointing. Probably will not be back, even though I live nearby, it would be great to have a quick place in the neighborhood to grab lunch!

I order from this place constantly and it never fails. They have great food great service. Everyone is kind especially the lady who takes your order over the phone. The pizza always taste awesome and fresh. Im not so excited about the rest of the menu. But their pizza is really good. I would definitely recommend it + wings!

Usually have had good experiences with delivery and Armand's pizza, but last night's was the second in some disappointing trends. I don't know if there's somebody new in the kitchen, but it seems like they don't know what they're doing. Mozzarella Sticks - Undercooked, cold. Garlic bread - Barely qualified as garlic bread; little flavor, lack of seasoning, even a different color than their usual garlic bread Pizza - Undercooked, as evidenced by the thin layer of uncooked dough you could see when you cut into the crust. I usually use GrubHub to order from them, and it also bums me out that they have no option for half-toppings on pizzas. Armand's used to be our go-to place for regular thin crust, but that may have to change.

The thin crust pie is right on point. Delivery is pretty quick and the staff is competent unlike many other pizza places. You can't beat delivery on a rainy night parked in front of the tv watching Netflix.

When I afford myself the luxury of ordering pizza, I want it to be really delicious and worth every single extra calorie I'm inevitably slapping directly on my ass. I don't think I'm alone here, right ladies? So when you get a disappointing pie, it feels like admitting defeat to the calorie gods. I admitted no defeat when inhaling my Armand's pizza the other night. That shizzle is goooooood. While my normal go-to for thin crust is D'Ags, I decided to give the old Grub Hub a gamble and see what was available. Up pops Armand's promising a nice, thin crust option at a reasonable price. Done. It arrived well within the estimated delivery time (crucial) and was piping hot. I dug in with gusto! I loved that the edges were super crispy/crunchy while the middle pieces were nice and soft. It gave the pizza an interesting dynamic and made it fun to eat. The cheese was a good mix that I feel pretty certain included some asiago, but I could be wrong. Either way, it was nice and flavorful. The sauce was tasty, too! The one issue, though, was that heating up leftovers was a little rough. Those crunchy crusts lose their magic... and edibility... in the microwave. Boo/hiss. I'd do it again fo sho. Only, I'd only order enough za for that evening's meal.

My favorite thin crust in Chicago! I had been ordering from the Armand's in North center for almost two years... But apparently they didn't want to deliver to our area anymore. But they had a great deal on Tuesdays.. Buy one get one free! Armand's on Division was happy to pick up our business. Delivery is quick, and the food quality consistent. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there's no Tue buy one get one. I love you Armand's!

Customer service is absolutely stellar, I really love this place. The last 3 or 4 pizza orders I have gotten have been different. I get the Nova and the thin crust all of the time and it seems like something has changed. The crust? The sauce? I can't put my finger on it, but it is certainly not the delicious treat that it used to be. The salads are still spectacular. ...but what happened to the pizza? Seriously bummed.

If the slices out don't look good, they aren't going to taste good. When they're fresh they taste pretty nice; crisp crust, salty cheese, unobjectionable sauce. After they sit even a little they lose a lot. More importantly, do not eat a stuffed artichoke. GROSS. Seriously. Just mushy flavorless breadcrumb on stringy frozen artichoke. Why are the poor artichokes on your logo if you're going to be so mean to them? :'-(
