I went on a Sunday for Steak Sunday. I added Shrimp to my order. I had mac n cheese & the smothered potatoes for sides. I have been following them on IG & I've been planning to check them out for about a year now so I was REALLY excited. I enjoyed my food, it was about a 20 min wait, I wanted a med rare steak, but was advised it would take 30mins so I took what was ready which was well done. I still enjoyed it and I'm gonna come bk & try different things. They also accept call in orders which seems to be suggested if you don't want to wait.

Went here the other day ordered jerk chicken and jerk fish. Got home opened the bag the chicken was decent however the Fish was the Worst they gave me the tail end of the fish! nothing with meat on it. I called the store the person I called told me to bring it back then he stated that they were out of fish smh. I won't be returning

Great food taste was awesome and prices were super affordable for the amount of great tasting food you get.

I remember when I'd never had jerk chicken before. My friend said to me "Really?!" He then turned me on to 3-D's Jerk Chicken. That was about 5 years ago. I've been going to 3-D's ever since. Two or 3 times I've tested the waters at other Jerk restaurants. Big mistake, BIG. 3-D's got it going on. Blue Velvet

This is absolutely the best jerk chicken in town! It's authentic! The chicken isn't spicy, which allows the entire family to enjoy. The bread and sauce provided is definitely one of a kind! Did I mention the great, fast service? Well, the guys are always friendly and kind! I can't pass by without stopping for such a treat!

It's hard to believe a place would open at 1pm for a lunch crowd, but this place was not even open at 1. I look inside and it's just one guy trying to prepare the food. They might have good food, but too bad some people miss out because the owner is not prepared to serve it up. If you say you open at certain time, BE Ready to Open. That's Business 101!

This is my go to jerk chicken restaurant. the sauce is amazing. the meat selections are full of flavor. the cabbage is Delicious. the rice and beans are so so. not giving five stars only BC of the wait time and the fact that you need to have cash most of the time because the credit card machine is always broken. Call ahead and bring cash. I will definitely continue supporting them.

You have to try the Jerk T-bone Steak and smothered potatoes with ma and cheese on Sundays. I had one on mothers day for the first time and I almost died and went to heaven. For $16.00 it was well worth it.

I like this place so much that I budget for it every month. See... Give them a call, stop by pick ur food and enjoy. Simple as that. I usually go for a whole dark chicken no-bread. They like to call it Whole Dark No-bread lol

Triple D's is that place you go to when you can't make it to Maywood to Tropical Times. I only gave it 3 stars because out of the few occassions that I've went, the chicken has been soggy instead of the skin being crispy. It's always seasoned well, however, I like to eat my chicken without the hot sauce, so, I judge a little more heavier on natural taste and texture..I just hate soggy chicken! I have never tried any of the sides. Overall, it's a hit or miss, sometimes it's good (skin crispy), sometimes it's not, and like I mentioned, I've had too many "not" right days.

Who ever gave the food here a bad review must be off their rocker! The best jerk in the city of Chicago! Even those nasty places on the south side.. The jerk sauce is amazing!! Call in your order the wait can be crazy, the cabbage is superb. Its just all good !

This place has excellent food.....if you catch them on the right day. When it's right, it's right! And even when it's wrong it's not too far off from being right :) I can say the prices go up each year but for most restaurants this is expected. The only thing I'd advise is to call in your order. The wait time can be long. The cabbage is some of the best I've ever had!

Oh boy where should i start. I have ordered twice from this place and i must say im disappointed. first let me say that I AM JAMAICAN and i know what the food is suppose to taste like. I HAVE ALSO WORKED AND RAN A JAMAICAN RESTAURANT WITH MY MOM IN NEW YORK. This is not there yet. I think they have been too americanized or not putting the attention into the food that they need to. I have tried the oxtails, its ok (humongous pieces of meat that need to be cut in more appropriate sizes, which means it was hard, wasnt cooked as well. i have tried the curry goat and was given a whole bunch of fat with bones...not good. I gave it 2 stars because i plan to go back and try the jerk chicken. that will be my last straw. it appears that they have spicy seasoning down pat. i wish they would get better quality meat and better service. The menu appears to be very limited as well. everything, and i mean EVERYTHING is served with rice and peas, cooked cabbage and sweat potatoe (im not sure how this is even apart of the jamaican dish). at one point we ordered just rice, when we brought it home, it was covered in this dark , thick , tasteless sauce, with a chunk of onion or garlic. ughhhhhhh just gross, and defeated the whole purpose of ordering the rice.

yesterday was our first and last time here. the food took extremely long to be cooked. we ordered the seafood combination which came out to be $17 dollars. because of the reviews on here i just knew this place was going to be great...wrong! we got hard beans and rice it was very undercooked. the suppose to be jerk shrimp(which had no jerk flavor at all) was extremely hard like a dry piece of chicken. also we got in our combination was cat fish. the two tiny little pieces of cat fish steaks we got also had no jerk flavor. the best thing on my plate was the carrots the came inside the cabbage very flavorful and tasty. i paid $17 dollars for that! don't let these pictures fool you. tropical times is 10x better or even uncle joes. wasted time and money and we both were sick the next morning. thanks for nothing... i honestly don't know how this place got more than one star. very overrated you've been warned!

Tasty jerk chicken. pay extra for the sauce and it's HOT. I got the 1/2 white. kinda rough neighbor hood but worth the drive from the burbs. I got some "looks" but that didn't stop me!

I tried the talapia with red beans and rice. The rice was extremely dry and the fish didn't have much flavor not like jerk should. I waited quite some time for the food and thought that it would be worth the wait and it wasn't. Ive had wayyyyyyyy better jerk than this. I won't be returning!!!

These guys know what they are doing! I've tried the jerk chicken (very good), oxtail (excellent), curry goat (excellent) and tilapia (ok).

I came here on a Sunday, which was strange because when you walk in, the menus all over place state that they are closed on Sunday's . Anywho, THE FOOD. I had the curry chicken with cabbage, macaroni and cheese (which is not on the menu, anywhere, you have to ask) and rice and peas, all very excellent, but a little salty for my taste, my boyfriend said it was not salty. ( I don't cook with salt). My boyfriend had the jerk chicken, it was good and salty, but the jerk sauce they give you is awful. The inside of the place is not to clean, but the food was okay. I prefer Uncle Joe's in Hyde Park.

Best jerk chicken around! Chicken is always moist and the flavor is delicious. We try and go weekly! The cabbage is terrific and full of flavor. We love 3D's!

This place has the best jerk chicken from a restaurant in Chicago. Very affordable and the jerk sauce is seasoned to perfection. Please note, they provide take-out only so there is no dining in available. This place is well worth the trip.
