I know that Starbucks is a chain, one which I really enjoy getting coffee at. But this particular Starbucks location is one of the best! I always enjoy going and never get bad service or drinks. I was very excited when Starbucks opened in Charleston, it is at a very reasonable distance from both Charleston and Mattoon. The drinks here are always good and I have had no trouble with the service. Also, the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend going to this Starbucks. It is not just other chain that might be mediocre; it is a great place. I will definitely continue to go here.

Here's my problem with Starbucks... I love to get coffee in the morning on my way to work and prefer the drive through. It will take several minutes to get through the drive through and depending on the day, you could get someone who is pleasant and cheerful or someone who appears bored and aloof. The other problems is the fact that you can enter the drive through from to entrances (off Lincoln Avenue by Walgreen's or by the street that faces County Market) so trying to even get in the drive through line is like a Hunger Games style face off between cranky, under-caffeinated people.

Typical Starbucks as far as the drinks...nothing special. As far as the staff, they are friendly (though some of the male employees can get loud when you are trying to do work, which is annoying). This location is quite small and only has two decent sized tables that people can work at. It is a little cramped, but is still a typical Starbucks.

I just had the craziest and most super-irritating thing happen at this Starbuck's. My husband and I were passing through today (we live about an hour away) and stopped in for coffee around 2 PM. There were several VERY PROMINENT displays and bins of their "Christmas Blend" ground coffee, coffee beans, instant coffee, etc. I took some to the counter to buy them. The counterperson said "We can't sell those to you, they aren't available yet". I said something very intelligent, like "Huh?" and he said "We can't sell those until tomorrow". I asked "Why do you have all this coffee out all over the store in all these displays if you aren't going to sell it ????" He replied "Can't sell it until tomorrow". Well we walked out. This is CRAZY, Starbucks!!! Why do you have your stores put all this coffee out and then REFUSE TO SELL IT TO PEOPLE?!?!?!? Guess I'll go to the grocery store and get Maxwell House. I bet they will cheerfully sell it to me.

The Starbucks was packed. Everybody was super friendly even though the line was long at the drive-through. I stepped inside to save a little bit of time I was greeted promptly. Bathrooms were superclean and it looks like the store was very well taken care of. It's kind of hard to read a Starbucks but this one gets an A.

This is my favorite Starbucks store I've been to. I am a frequent customer here, and I love the way this one operates. For some reason, to me, it's just different than any ones I have been to. I usually don't go during busy times so I always get my drink in a timely manner (drive-thru and in the store). The employees are always very friendly and sometimes even crack jokes to make your day brighter! There's plenty of seats to choose from and, of course, free Wi-Fi.
