This is my favorite restaurant for breakfast in the channahon area. They have amazing skillets. I love the bacon skillet it's what I get 90 percent of the time there. The service is good and the management is also good. They also have good lunch food. And I like the fact that it's family owned. I have been coming here since I was a young kid and I will continue to come here for years to come.
Lonestar is an excellent family restaurant. I've been going there for years and they have quality breakfast food for a good price. Their skillets are especially worth mentioning. Overall a great Greek-style diner with quick service and a quality product.
This place is pretty standard from any other Chicago, Greek diner. They provide good service and good food, but nothing really sets them apart except that it is the only one in the area.

The number 12 lunch special chicken sandwich (I forgot what it was called) was outstanding. Sofia is great and the place has a wonderful atmosphere. There are many different combinations of ingredients you can get on their pizza. They also serve beer!!!
May I just say, I am very unfamiliar with Joliet and its surrounding suburbs. My boyfriend grew up in this area and we are here today, SAT Sep 27, for a good cause. We are participating in the Miracle League Motorcycle Run this morning. The event could best be described as a pub crawl. The only difference, motorcycles are required to cover the miles to get from start to bar to bar... to finish. We started at the Miracle League Field in Joliet. Our first stop is a place called The Office in Channahon. I couldn't believe my eyes when we pulled up. The last time I was at this strip mall, it was over 6.5 years ago. The Office went by a different name but it was where I drove from Chicago to meet my boyfriend for our 2nd date. Not sure how much time we're given to eat or drink or both; a few of us decide to dine at Godmother's instead. It turns out not to be enough time for Jason and me. While we see everyone else leaving for Morris, we are still waiting for our order. Fortunately, we have an itinerary which has all of our destination's addresses listed on it. We tell people we'll meet them at spot #3, Fat Daddy'z, in Seneca. Looking at the line up, it is not a difficult decision to skip the second stop. I'm only familiar with Club Chaoz in Crest Hill and their food is amazing but it's our last stop. Even though it took- what seems to be- a long time for our order of Cheese Ravioli and a Side of Meatballs, it was worth being left behind for. The meatballs are handcrafted by the Godmother and my compliments to the Chef for being mindful of my Service Dog. She made them with very little sauce and even precut all three meatballs into tiny bite size puppy pieces for us. The Godmother is so friendly, I wish I could come here more often to support her business by trying different items from the menu.
My family and I stopped were presently surprised by the quality of the food at this place. Godmothers pizza is a world apart from the pizza place that used to be in this location. The pizza was delicious. It was clearly made fresh, with high quality ingredients. This is a family run business, and the quality reflects that fact. My family will be going back for sure.

Exactly what you need to satisfy your craving for Chinese. There are several Chinese restaurants in the Channahon/Minooka area, but this one is my favorite. They all have their own subtle twists on all the classics, and Chang's Garden is the one that resonates the best with me. The prices are very reasonable, ordering it quick and easy. They offer online ordering which is great and not that common amongst their competitors. If you are just looking for some quick, easy, know-what-to-expect chinese food, this is the place.
Looking for a Chinese takeout fix in the Minooka-Channahon area? Chang's Garden is for you. I've been taking Chinese out since Chang's Garden opened in early 2000s. Been coming a lot less since I lost 60 lbs, but everything in moderation. This is a really well-run Chinese takeout restaurant. The lunch specials are good and priced right. I really like the seafood dishes. Anything shrimp or chicken. Shrimp in spicy sauce with peanuts and peppers is a good eat. (#67 on the menu). ** Hopefully you don't want Chinese food on a Tuesday. Chang's is closed on Tuesdays.
This is my favorite place to get Chinese in the chanooka-joliet area. The lasy who owns it is very friendly and will even give us free pop or an egg roll once in a while. They have the most delicious general tsao's chicken. The fried rice is also very good. Huge portions for a reasonable price. It is my go to takeout place and I like supporting local family businesses that have a passion for what they do!

Reviews:
I used to work here as a delivery driver and still order food from here whenever I'm back home. The owners moved from China, and the husband, Hu is a very good cook. I admit the inside and outside of the restaurant isn't very appealing. It's rough around the edges with a dated interior, and limited seating. But, it's never packed. My favorite dish is the chicken fried rice. And since moving to Chicago i cant find fried rice that lives up to this place. I didnt even like Chinese food until I ate it here. They absolutely pack the containers, that is a fact because I used to witness it back when I worked there. A large size of anything on their menu will feed you multiple times. I can get about 3 separate meals from a large fried rice. I've eaten here a few times with friends and they love the crab rangoon, lo mein, and egg rolls. They always used fresh ingredients, and the food is usually always ready in 15 minutes. Whether it's for pick up or delivery. I would say average delivery time is 30 minutes. They really pride themselves on being quick and they have a lot of experience. The only sad thing is that since I've left they have raised the prices on a lot of the items on the menu by a few dollars. I always recommend this place to my friends out in Channahon and Minooka. Go here instead of Dragon Inn by Jewel if you want delivery.
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. I have recently moved to California and I am missing the chicken lo mein from here. Was it a bit greasy? Yes. But that is what makes it taste so good. As for the other reviews about the restaurant itself, it Channahon people. You aren't going to find four star dining anywhere. It's your typical take out Chinese place. The staff is nice. They even have teenagers working there to answer the phones and do delivery. Sometimes it can be hard to understand accents over the phone and this eliminates the issue. In conclusion I love this place and it is sorely missed now that I have moved away!
Me and the boy were out, and actually looking for a different Chinese joint which happened to be closed on Mondays when we wound up at China Chen. I kept thinking "Man this place is gonna suck." I was actually quite surprised. The inside doesn't look like much, just some tables spread out throughout the restaurant. I had a taste for a coca cola, but they only had cans which kind of disappointed me because I didn't want to keep purchasing cans. ( it's 2012 people buy a soda fountain!!) Anyhow I went for the unsweetened ice tea which had a weird taste. It kind of tasted like a cigarette. I don't think I've ever had anything like it. The egg rolls came out- they were burning hot and very good! We had the regular egg roll, and chicken egg rolls. The regular egg roll was good, but the chicken egg roll was amazing!!! I kept thinking about ordering more chicken rolls, but I'm glad I didn't because I couldn't finish my lunch. I ordered the Mongolian beef! It was soooooo good!! Nice and spicy. A very good flavor to it. We also had an order of fried chicken wings- Chinese people can fry some damn chicken. That's one thing I've noticed consistently is that Chinese people can do that well. Okay! #Snap That chicken made me wanna slap my mama. I was so shocked to find a place so good outside of Chicago because there are so many mediocre to nasty Chinese restaurants around that people rave about and I don't see the big deal. I will definitely be back!! Check em out!!

Ok pizza for $5 but when you go there and have to wait 5 minutes for a pizza cause they do t have any ready and they weren't even busy , it's cheap Nd suppose to be fast, maybe if they weren't on their phone there would be pizza ready to go
I'd say the worst pizza I've ever had outside of a frozen pizza aisle. The pizza just looked boring and processed. There was hardly any taste and had to put a fair amount of seasoning just to make it bearable to eat. With that said, pizzas are only $5 so don't expect anything great. You pretty much get what you pay for.
It's 5 dollar pizza. I do not understand why everyone is reviewing this like this is a Michelin Star restaurant. I grab lunch from this Little Ceasers when I am in the area. It is always solid, everything I could hope and imagine for $5. It is tasty and cheap, and never cold. The worst thing you can have is a cold 5 dollar hot and ready. The one at this location is always Hot. I don't mind waiting a few minutes for one to pop out of the over.

McDonalds

Reviews:
Eh, it's a regular McDonald's. Albeit a CLEAN McDonald's, but still, like any other fast-food joint you get a handful of teenagers working there that care only about making enough of a paycheck to cover the insurance and gas money for the car Daddy bought them. At least they are friendly and always smiling. The only problem we have with the food at this McDonald's, (and it IS a constant, recurring problem), is you'll NEVER get an actual Large Size order of fries -- what you get is a small or medium order of fries in a large fry container. EVERY TIME!! Another issue with the fries -- don't plan on getting any fresh ones around 1pm or 6:30-7pm, you're gonna get the ones that were left over from being pre-made for the lunch/dinner rush and have been sitting under the heat lamp -- usually all greasy, limp and brown. Other than the French Fry issues, we've never had any problems with the rest of their food -- It's always fresh and hot. Another bonus is they get our drive-thru order right 97% of the time. The main issue/problem I have with this McDonald's is the lack of protection in the drive-thru from the elements. If it's pouring rain, prepared to get wet when lowering your window to order your food at the speaker, when paying and at the window where you receive your food. They have NO awnings where they should! There's no playland here (which I think is a good thing), minimal outdoor dining fixtures with no umbrellas (I think only two tables with benches), but the drive-thru ordering setup is efficient with two separate ordering speakers in two separate lanes and there's plenty of bike racks.
To be fair this is a review for McDonalds... But as far as McDonalds go the only reason they get one star is they were rather speedy, BUT I'd rather wait a few minutes to not have a burnt bagel sandwich and soggy under-cooked hash brown.
I went in last night to buy some food the employees did not want to take my order I had people walk past me 6 times including a manager. So I left, you just lost another customer
