Culver's was our quick stop on our grocery shopping extravaganza for the week because apparently I was missing out on life never having eaten here before, so says my hungrier half. We were probably greeted by every single worker in the restaurant as we walked in the door, which I found both funny and distracting seeing as I entered with my game face on (I had no clue what to get). The guys manning the registers were kind enough not to stare at me while I frantically perused the menu board trying to decide what I should try. I finally settled on a classic burger, since that's sort of what they're known for, fries and a drink for me as well. My hungrier half opted for some fancy schmancy Parmesan burger thingie with other cheese and bacon (meat & cheese, meat & cheese), fries & a drink too. I do like the fact that Culver's is the type of burger joint where you don't have to loiter around the counter, waiting for your food to pop down the chute, instead, you are given a plastic number and sent merrily along your way with the promise that one of the servers will bring you your meal. So merrily I went to inspect the drink offerings. I opted for their house root beer because whenever I have a choice of drinking root beer or not drinking it, the choice is always crystal clear. The burger was piping hot, as were my fries. The patties were thin, but there were two, which I'm guessing is supposed to make up for their thickness. Honestly, the food was nothing to write home about, standard fast food fare at best. As I made my way through my meal, I couldn't help but keep thinking "Man, I would have rather had Chipotle or something" because they are about the same price. My husband agreed that his meal was nothing too special, and in fact, he was still sort of hungry after gobbling up his lunch. I think in the future we will suck it up and skip Culver's, even if we're hungry, since there are so many other, more interesting offerings on Randall Rd.

Yum! The burgers and fries here are always fresh, hot and delicious. I really enjoy having my food brought to my table, as well. I can't say I've ever had a problem with this Culver`s, except that the tables are dirty sometimes and it could use an update. Other than that, I enjoy stopping here after a trip to Woodman`s next door.

Today was just a terrible food day for Culvers, the fish was very greasy and gave me a stomach ache.. They charged me $10 with no napkins and plastic wear... How can you charge that much for that?

Butter burgers are great and made as ordered. Always fresh. If in a hurry dont stop... It takes them couple minutes for fresh made food. Love it everytime. Always good burgers!!

Culvers...you disappoint. My family often stops at Culvers across the nation for quick, fresh, tasty food and treats. Normally, you are greeted with a smile and the service is a step up from any other drive-thru/fast food establishment. Not here. We stopped in mid-week about an hour before closing time. There were seven of us. Two eating food. Five sticking to ice cream to celebrate one of my sister's last high school band concerts. The whole thing just frustrates me. Simply put, they just don't get it. They weren't busy and they didn't get things right. The burger toppings were wrong. My sundae toppings (only two things btw) were questioned at the register three times. Perhaps I was speaking a foreign language? Peanut butter topping and reese's peanut butter cups please. M&M's? No, peanut butter topping and reese's peanut butter cups. Like the reese's pieces? No, peanut butter topping and reese's peanut butter cups. (duh!) They insisted on taking the wrong burger (with a bite out of it) back to throw it in the garbage. Well okay. But then they brought an Italian ice that we didn't order. And charged us for it! My step mom asked for a refund. Guess what...the fools left the refunded Italian ice on our table. Morons. We ate it. My dad would have rather eaten the burger with the wrong toppings, but due to their employee's ineptness they would rather throw food in the garbage. Dopes. That's all I can say as everything else that I think is not very P.C. Come to think of it...eh, nevermind.

Horrible experience! We waited for 20mins for our food after we asked what's taking so long for our food and the whole the food was sitting up at the window. The manager had the guts to ask if we still wanted our food. Of course not! Who would want to eat cold food? We asked for our money back and as we were walking out he asked if we wanted free ice cream. Ok, ask when we leave right? Horrible service. I won't be visiting c'vlle culvers again.

I have to disagree with a lot of the reviews here. I walked in on Friday afternoon at lunchtime and was promptly greeted by a woman with the title of "Owner" on her name badge. Indeed, she was the franchise owner running the cash register. Service was immediate. She took our orders, making appropriate suggestions and offered us menu items that took advantage of coupons. The kitchen and dining areas both seemed very clean. For me, the food was "just OK". It's decent fast food, but by the same token, not cheap for fast food. I'll go back, but it's not in my normal rotation. I was very pleased to see the owner of the establishment right out on the front line working with the customers. That's the way it should be. I am going to give them three stars because the service and friendliness met every expectation and didn't miss a beat. The food is 2 1/2 stars on a good day. The fried chicken basket was not that great (they shouldn't even serve fried chicken because they don't do it well). The roast beef sandwich was "OK" but it gave me a splitting headache later in the day, which is a surefire way to tell that they use MSG in whatever sauce the meat had on it. I won't order that menu item again.

My first experience with Culvers was in Wisconsin. While they seem to be much more popular in the cheese state, I have recently seen a few more of these pop up around the Chicagoland area. Their food is OK. I like the Cajun grilled chicken sandwich... its nothing spectacular, but has a nice kick to it. The cheese curds are delicious. I had never had them before Culvers... small bits of white and yellow cheddar cheese, battered and deep fried to perfection.... As for shakes, I can't really choose one, because I've never had the same one twice, and all of them sound good! I wish I was better at decision making at these kinda places. The service is on the slow side, and I was left at the counter for 10 minutes waiting for my shake while my food was getting cold. All to find out it was sitting there waiting for me, but they didn't know who's it was. Ugh... maybe they need to hire more competent workers....

I love Culvers. I do not love this location, however. This location has horrible management. I've had problems with them messing up my order and just providing really crappy customer service. My last experience I ordered a walleye dinner. I work nearby. I got back to work and found out that they gave me a cod dinner instead. I called and spoke to the "manager" Marco. Although if you ever call and ask for a manager, everyone who answers is the manager. He told me I could come back in and get a free Walleye dinner. So like 3 weeks go by and I call them as ask for the manager. The person who answers tells me he is the manager. I tell him that I called a while back and was told I could come in and receive my free dinner, but it's been a while so I wanted to confirm before I drove over that everything was in order. The person then told me that he was really busy at the moment and to just drive over and we could talk about it then. Very irritating as I was calling to avoid that. I don't want someone spitting in my food! Well I have decided that I won't come over to speak with people who don't have time for me and I won't order food from that location again. I would avoid this location if you want to receive any kind of customer service.

When Culvers gets it right it's awesome, however it is so rare that everything is right. I used to order the patty melt and we would joke about what kind of patty melt I would get this time. Tons of meat, very little meat, cheese on both sides or just one side, the bread toasted, not toasted or just burned. And if you go through the drive-thru they most likely will forget to give it to you all together. We complained the last time to the manager Jorge and he smirked and said they gave our sandwich to another car. No sorry, no we're rushing to make you another. We asked to speak to the owners and he said 'go ahead but you'll have to come back tomorrow they always leave before 2:00'. So needless to say I get my patty melts elsewhere!
