YUMMY! Everything here is so so so delicious and fresh! Try the gigantic apple strudel or the lemon tarts! Good donuts, too!
Very small local Bakery with a great lunch special. I was able to get a Turkey sandwich, a slice of fruit and very nice cookie. The staff was very nice and friendly and i even had a chance to talk to the owner. Turkey was very good along with the bread, but no Subs(bit of a disappointment) but overall very good local place will defiantly be back. Things to improve upon, Offer French bread subs Check out Boars head meat and cheeses Bagel Sandwiches
Donuts are good.... I w ish they had a wider variety but you need to remember this is a bakery and not a donut shop. long johns are great!

This is a really comfy place without the stereotypical geegaws that most non-creative restaurants use. What I mean by that is (most) BBQ joints will have red and white gingham oilcloth tablecoths, with pigs on the wall, yadda-yadda... and (most) Chinese places have, well, you know what I mean. Dao is Bangkok hip, not what you'd expect. You're greeted by a friendly hostess who asks if you'd prefer a table or the bar (I chose the bar to watch a game) and then my treat started. I started with a Cucumber Splash made with Citron and Mandarin vodka over muddled cucumber, a splash of simple syrup and QS of club soda. It was served tall with cucumber garnish. I know this sounds like a foo-foo drink, but man, this would be perfect post-golf or by the pool. Kind of reminded me of a Pimms and soda, which I also love post-golf. Hey, I get tired of the same old Sapphire and tonic. This was a nice diversion to go along with some heated edamame with kosher salt. Their rolls seem to be popular, as well they should be. There must be 25 rolls on the menu. So what the hell do you do? What everyone does: View the ingredients, find a few you're in agreement with--and then guess! Owing to being in Burr Ridge, I creatively ordered The Burr Ridge Roll. Good Christ, Paul, what imagination you have! What adventure!! What a dork. But it appeared to contain things I liked so I sipped on the Cucumber Splash/Smash/Smooch/Whatever it's called and waited--and not long. The Burr Ridge Roll is Shrimp tempura, blue crab meat, avocado and massago. I know it wasn't given a name like some post-A-bomb J Arthur Rank giant ants that ate Santa Fe Film name. But you know what? I loved it. It had great flavor, crunch, sauce, and I know I'll order it again. They do have a Godzilla Roll and I may have to partake of that at some point or other just for the name. The rest of my first Dao experience was two pieces each of Yellow Tail sushi, salmon and Toro. It's not inexpensive, but not goofy, either. Two cocktails, the roll and sushi came to about $70 plus tip. I'm wanting to go back soon for some Thai, as well, which won't be hard as I can look out my living room window and see the place. Apparently they're on sked for opening a hibachi section by fall, too. I'm not a big fan of that, but it'll be good for their party business, I'm sure.
Have been there several times but just went this past weekend and noticed a considerable difference in the quality and taste of food. All the sushi rolls were delicious, perhaps some of the tastiest I've ever had. Even if it's not authentic, it definitely hits my white-washed sushi-craving spot. The Thai menu does not disappoint either. Seriously can't go wrong with any of the dishes available. Highly recommend.
Exceptional service. I ordered the Burr Ridge Rol and the Dragon on Fire. DOF wasn't too spicy and had good flavor. Definitely worth stopping by if you're the area.

I showed up for my reservation at Wok N Fire a few minutes early and had to wait an additional 25 minutes to get a seat, which made me wonder why I set up a reservation in the first place. We ordered our food which was ok. My food was spicy and full of flavor, however my dates was quite bland (despite being a ginger dish) and had a very bad smell. With half empty plates we were asked if we were interested in dessert. We had hardly been seated 30 minutes and were being rushed out of our seats. The food was average, I had no complaints on my meal. However, the wait and then the rush would make me rethink going back to this location of Wok N Fire.
Like most people, I had a groupon and wanted to give this place a try. I called to make reservations, showed up right on time (maybe a few minutes early) and had to wait an additional 20 minutes to be seated. So what's the point of making a reservation?? I would have let that go if I was able to go to the bar and get a drink but the place was so packed and the open, free-for-all seating in the bar area made that impossible. Finally we were seated. We ordered drinks and a sushi appetizer. The sushi came out WAY before the drinks did which should have been the other way around. My cucumber drink was pretty good. We put our order in. I decided to get a stir fry dish since it was a stir fry restaurant rather than getting pad thai (which is my go-to dish at other asian places). Our main dishes arrived before we were even done with our sushi!! I was extremely disappointed. Something smelled off right from the beginning. I finally figured out that it was the broccoli giving my entire dish a stinky smell. GROSS!!! I didn't feel like complaining so I just ate the non-smelly parts of my dish. Luckily I didn't get sick the following day but I did go home with a pretty terrible stomach ache. We finished, turned down dessert (probably because I was so stuffed from being rushed from appetizer to main entre) and were given ouR check. We were there for 40 minutes from the time we were seated until the time our check came. That was way too short. Normally I wouldn't complain about quick service, but I felt really rushed and obviously they were doing that since they were behind on reservations and super crowded. Overall, ok sushi, pretty good drinks, bad stir fry, and iffy service. I probably won't be back unless they have another half price groupon. Otherwise it's not worth it. Also, after reading other yelpers...other people have complained of sushi that's too fishy or leaving with stomach aches! That is not a good sign!
We ate here during their happy hour, and found their selection and prices satisfactory. The food was also good, except the waitress had difficulty gauging how spicy the dishes were going to be - one dish was much spicier and one dish was much milder than described. Nevertheless, we thought the place was worth 3 stars because we did not like the dark atmosphere, funky lighting, and noise level.
