Sad to see this location go. Years ago this was one of our spots to go to for a quick bite to eat.

I can see why Friday's is closing locations. We were there at Noon for lunch. The parking lot was nearly empty. We were not sure they were even open. So you enter and there is no hostess station (What genius designed that?) and no one there to greet you. We drifted over into the dining room. A server saw us and got us menus and seated us. We ordered wine, the crispy green beans, a house salad and the Jack Daniels ribs. The wine was good. The green beans were OK but I think they are watering down the dipping sauce that comes with it. I remembered it thick and creamy. Now it's a lot thinner. We couldn't find any dressing on the salad so we asked for more. It came promptly. The salad also had pieces of the lettuce stem in it. The ribs were the biggest disappointment. There was very little meat on the bones. I forget if the menu said "baby back ribs" or just "ribs". What meat there was was dry and crispy. We figured that the ribs were from the day before and had been reheated. The cole slaw that came with the ribs was devoid of any kind of dressing. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be vinegar style or creamy style. A manager happened to stop by. We gave her the whole story. As for the salad, she said they get it pre-chopped in a bag. I'm thinking, "So no one in the kitchen looks at what they are putting on the plate? She asked if she could bring us anything else. We said no. Our server stopped by and asked if we wanted anything else. We said no. She said, "So you just want the check?" I said "Yes" but I was thinking, "What else would I want at this point?" When the check came we noticed that the manager had comped the ribs. Thank you. Bottom line: Skip this place. It's poor, even compared to other Friday's. Having said that I'm thinking that it's been a while since we have been to a Friday's. Maybe they are all like this now. If you want ribs go to the Patio just North of this pace.

We ate here on Saturday and had quite possibly the worst dining experience ever. We walked in at about 7:50 - at that time there was maybe 5-6 people standing near the door and we were unsure if they were leaving or waiting on a table. None of the staff asked us if we wanted a table or wanted to be put on a wait list. So we stood there for over 5 minutes. Finally I asked one of the staff, Talia, if we could have a table. She told us that there was a 45 minute wait and took our name. Several other couples and groups of people arrived and were greeted and put on the list. Within 15 minutes everyone was seated except for me and my date. The hostess, Talia, saw us standing there and ignored us. Finally I was able to locate another hostess and asked her if they still had us on the list. Apparently we had been skipped and she sat us immediately. Well, no problem, we thought, let's get this party started. So we ordered some drinks and an appetizer, the Mediterranean (skewered and grilled chicken with pita bread and ginger slaw) The appetizer arrived in a timely manner and as we were about to dig in, we noticed a piece of plastic in the slaw. It was about 2x2 and almost looked like part of a zip-lock bag. We flagged the waiter down, he grabbed the appetizer and brought us another one in about a minute. Ugh. It was obvious that they had just removed the plastic and rearranged the slaw. Although the rest of the food came out ok, Friday's did not comp the appetizer or even apologize. Rude hostess service from the get-go, compliments of Talia, then to top it off a piece of weird plastic in the slaw, it was not a good night.

WOW TGIF really disappointed me. We arrived and there was not hostess to be seen, about 5 minutes later she came by looking a mess, dragging her feet, like she didn't want to be there. We got a table and our server also took about 10 minutes to come by so we had the opportunity to look over the menu and now what we were going to order by the time our server would come. Food was very bland blah blah. My beer was good and that's all I liked. They need better staff and cooks.

Expect the expected. But sometimes that's exactly what I'm in the mood for. If it's a burger or quick fix appetizer I'm looking for, this is where I go. I have yet to have anything stand out as extremely fantastic or horribly grotesque. I've had many of their burgers, and my favorite being the Jack Daniel's burger. (Tasty, served with a Jack Daniels sauce, bacon, and smokey cheddar cheese.) The fries are decent, and the baked French onion soup is almost perfect. I usually come here only during the week right before the lunch rush. The food is served fresh and quickly, and the service (unlike so many other places in the area) has always been pleasant and precise. I like that in a place.

Most chain resturants start at 3 stars for me and stay there. Food took way too long...but our servers took notice and made sure to keep us in the loop. The manager brought the food out with an apology and a credit certificate for a return trip. What was going to be a 2 star review turned into 4 star because of great customer service!

After leaving nearby Cattleman's after one beer and horrible service, we settled in at the bar here. I think it was basketball playoff season, because the place was packed. The bartender (I think his name was Mike) was very attentive, and made an awesome drink. We even had to call the manager over to tell him how happy we were with the service. I can't speak for the waitstaff, as we normally belly up to the bar when we stop in, but the bartender is awesome and the manager was so happy to hear our good review, he comp-ed our appetizer. Now THAT'S good service. Anytime we are out and about Bolingbrook, we stop in for at least a good drink and good conversation.

My family and I have been going to this TGI Fridays for about a year and a half. We started going here when the service at Red Robin went down hill. First off I love that they have a rewards program that is very easy to use and we earn free food ALL the time. We also receive coupons thru email that we are able to use with our rewards. I also like the fact that the menu has a lot of variety and some thing called "Right Portion, Right Price" items, which for me & my daughter (small eaters) works great. They have such a variety of steaks, that everyone should be able to find a size to fit their appetite. The wait staff here is very good and attentive. I have eaten here for both lunch and dinner, on both weekdays and weekends. I have rarely waited for a table. There are only two tables i do not sit at. One is right in front of the kitchen door, for obvious reasons. And the other is in the front corner of the restaurant, to your left as you enter the restaurant. This is a cold spot in the winter months. I love the fact that I can ask for things done the way I want them, i.e. no seasoning, sauce on side, etc. and they are happy to do this. They always get it right. I love my steaks medium rare and they don't mind and do it right each time. With our big family there are many requests and the wait staff gladly accommodate. I can not speak for the kids menu, but I like that they are always changing the regular menu and doing special themed menus. They also always have drink specials. Right now they have the Winter Lager, Yum! My son personally recommends the Tropical Berry Mojito Shaker. If you are every skeptical about a sauce, just ask for a sample. Very cool, good deserts.

First the good stuff! The food was pretty good and the hostess was very polite. Now the problemo we faced. Wait staff! It seems many establishments in the Bolingbrook area have a problem hiring good waiters! Perhaps the work conditions and pay / benifits suck and throws off the older people? Teenage girls standing around laughing talking about " who they did last night " and ignoring their paying customers seems the norm here! Wrong soup, wrong main course, slow to refill drinks, rolling her eyes, no cutlery...well you get the picture..the only time she was polite or cracked a smile was near the end..when she realized it was ..." tip time! " Right!

Its been a year since my last review and I must say that things have changed at this Fridays for the better! I have gone back quite a few times and I have noticed that the front of house has been great and so has the waitstaff! Good Job Fridays for getting it together!

I usually eat at the bar and from now on will do so. For once I went to eat in the dining room with my parents and fiance. Our beers took forever. My dad ordered one before I arrived and didnt get until 15 min after me being there. It took 15 more minutes for mine to come. I didnt order a Manhattan straight up, I ordered an angry orchard. Idk why it was so awfully slow. It was painful. The food also took forever to come. And im not sure why because the food wasn't cooked. Mt broccoli tasted like it came from a vegetable platter that had been heated up. Ew. Nothing like crunchy hot broccoli. My fiance orded the jack daniels chicken and steak. He ordered his steak medium and it came out rare. You could still hear the cow mooing #gross. I like medium rare and still couldn't stomache his steak. So the issue is why did it take 30 min for the food with a rare steak? Whatever they comped the bill and gave us a dessert. But that doesn't make up for the icky food. The server was super sweet. No issue there. She did the best she could to fix the kitchens errors.

We went on a Saturday night around 8 pm. They were not busy, but we still had to wait to get seated. We waited ten minutes for someone to come around asking what we wanted to drink. Food finally came out and the chicken on both of our entrees were completely overdone. Almost burnt to a crisp. We had to flag down our waitress to get a refill on our drinks, even though she walked past our table four times. Service was lousy and the food was overdone. Unlikely that we will return.

Well... TGI Fridays has turned into a real disappointment. I remember going years ago, and the quality was great. Not anymore. The restaurant was virtually empty when we went, and we were surprised by that, but now I know why. It took almost 45 minutes to receive our appetizer, which was pathetic for "loaded potato skins." They were dried out, pieces of cork, with a few bacon sprinkles on the top. Then, we waited... and waited... and waited some more before we saw our waiter again. Finally the food came, cold, and 85 minutes after sitting down, in a mostly empty restaurant. I had the Jack Daniels Burger, and it was good, no complaints there, other then it wasn't worth the wait. I miss the old TGIF's and hope they can make a comeback to quality.

OK so let's get this out of the way, the meal was good, the service was good, the price was fair, and I could hear myself talk. But my only beef is that they have another rewards program going. Holy smokes can we just get one and stick with it. Hey how about this, set up a rewards program that all the dollars you spend = points and I can use those points for more food and drink. Yea I know they had that one about 15 or 20 years ago and I loved it, it made me want to come back becasue all of the above was met with food etc, but that went away for another 10 programs since. Let's just keep it simple, get a program, be brave and stick with it, and then reap the benefits. I don't need a program to help me buy buffalo wings. Sorry TGI, you have good food, but dont be so flip floppy.

Okay, so I'll get called out for reviewing another TGI Friday's. In my defense, it was in the area, and it was a group decision, not mine. The music was a bit loud outside, but inside, it was kept to a decent level- we could talk without yelling. We were seated immediately, and out waiter, Tony, promptly came over to take our drink order. Our party had the Parmesan-crusted chicken, the half-order of ribs, and the Jack Daniel's Cheeseburger. I had the flat iron steak. All the food was pepared perfectly, substitutions and special requests (broccolli in lieu of french fries, sauce on the side, etc.) were correct, food was delicious- everyone commented that they could not believe how much they ate. Still not a huge fan of the 'Nightmare Before Christmas'-inspired new look of TGI Friday's, but this one had the old, familiar feel inside with the wood paneling and tchochkies on the walls (including a crewing boat and a vintage Apple IIe in this one!).
